1 Zvino wakati kuvadzidzi: Hazvigoneki kuti zvigumbuso zvisauya; asi ane nhamo wazvinouya kubudikidza naye.
He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
2 Zvaiva nani kwaari kuti guyo rinorema risungirirwe kupoteredza mutsipa wake, ndokukandirwa mugungwa, pakuti agumbuse umwe wevadiki ava.
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Muzvichenjerere imwi. Zvino kana umwe wako akakutadzira, mutsiure; uye kana akatendeuka, mukanganwire.
Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he makes teshuvah ·complete repentance·, forgive him.
4 Uye kana akutadzira kanomwe pazuva, akadzoka kwauri kanomwe pazuva, achiti: Ndatendeuka; uchamukanganwira.
If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I make teshuvah ·complete repentance·,’ you shall forgive him.”
5 Zvino vaapositori vakati kuna Ishe: Wedzerai kwatiri rutendo.
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our trusting faith.”
6 Ishe ndokuti: Kana maiva nerutendo rwakaita setsanga yemasitadha, maiti kumuhabhurosi uyu: Dzurwa, usimwe mugungwa; uye waikuteererai.
The Lord said, “If you had trusting faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7 Asi ndeupi kwamuri ane muranda anorima kana kufudza, achati pakarepo achipinda achibva kumunda: Swedera ugare pakudya?
But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’
8 Asi angarega here kuti kwaari: Gadzira zvandingaraira, uye uzvisunge chiuno, undishandire, kusvikira ndadya, ndikanwa; zvino mushure meizvozvi iwe udye nekunwa?
and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
9 Anotenda muranda uyo nokuti wakaita zvarairwa here? Handifungi.
Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
10 Saizvozvo nemwi, kana maita zvese zvamakarairwa, muti: Tiri varanda pasina, nokuti taita zvataifanira kuita.
Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
11 Zvino zvakaitika pakuenda kwake kuJerusarema, kuti iye wakapfuura nepakati peSamaria neGarirea.
As he was on his way to Jerusalem [City of peace], he was passing along the borders of Samaria [Watch-mountain] and Galilee [District, Circuit].
12 Zvino wakati achipinda mune umwe musha, varume gumi vaiva nemaperembudzi vakasangana naye, vamire kure.
As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy· met him, who stood at a distance.
13 Zvino ivo vakasimudza inzwi, vachiti: Jesu, Tenzi, tinzwirei tsitsi!
They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua [Salvation], Master, have mercy on us!”
14 Zvino wakati achivaona, akati kwavari: Endai munozviratidza kuvapristi. Zvino zvakaitika kuti vachienda, vakanatswa.
When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
15 Zvino umwe wavo paakaona kuti aporeswa, wakadzoka achikudza Mwari nenzwi guru;
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16 ndokuwira pasi nechiso patsoka dzake, achimuvonga; zvino iye wakange ari muSamaria.
He fell on his face at Yeshua [Salvation]'s feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan [person from Watch-mountain].
17 Asi Jesu wakapindura akati: Vanga vasiri gumi here vanatswa? Ko vapfumbamwe varipi?
Yeshua [Salvation] answered, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18 Hapana kuwanikwa vadzokera kuzopa Mwari rukudzo, kunze kweuyu mutorwa.
Were there none found who teshuvah ·completely returned· to give glory to God, except this stranger?”
19 Zvino akati kwaari: Simuka, enda; rutendo rwako rwakuponesa.
Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your trusting faith has healed you.”
20 Zvino wakati achibvunzwa neVaFarisi, kuti ushe hwaMwari hunosvika rinhi, akavapindura akati: Ushe hwaMwari hahuuyi nekuonekwa;
Being asked by the Pharisees [Separated] when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom does not come with observation;
21 uye havangati: Tarirai pano; kana: Tarira uko. Nokuti tarirai, ushe hwaMwari huri mukati menyu.
neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
22 Zvino wakati kuvadzidzi: Mazuva achasvika amuchashuva kuona rimwe ramazuva eMwanakomana wemunhu, asi hamungarioni.
He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
23 Zvino vachati kwamuri: Tarirai pano; kana: Tarirai uko; regai kuenda, kana kutevera.
They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,
24 Nokuti semheni inopenya ichibva kune rumwe rutivi pasi pedenga ichivhenekera kusvikira kune rumwe rutivi pasi pedenga, saizvozvo zvichaitawo Mwanakomana wemunhu nezuva rake.
for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.
25 Asi kutanga anofanira kutambudzika zvinhu zvizhinji, nekurambwa nezera iri.
But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 Uye sezvazvakange zvakaita mumazuva aNowa, ndizvo zvazvichavawo mumazuva eMwanakomana wemunhu.
As it was in the days of Noah [Rest], even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
27 Vaidya, vainwa, vaiwana, vachiwaniswa, kusvikira zuva iro Nowa raakapinda naro muareka, mafashame akasvika, ndokuvaparadza vese.
They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah [Rest] entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Saizvozvowo sezvazvakange zvakaita mumazuva aRoti; vaidya, vainwa, vaitenga, vaitengesa, vaidzvara, vaivaka;
Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot [Veil, Covering]: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 asi nemusi Roti waakabuda muSodhoma, kwakanaya moto nesarufa zvichibva kudenga, zvikaparadza vese.
but in the day that Lot [Veil, Covering] went out from Sodom [Burning], Yahweh caused it to rain fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
30 Zvichava seizvi nezuva Mwanakomana wemunhu raachabudiswa pachena naro.
It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31 Muzuva iro, uyo achava pamusoro pedenga reimba, nenhumbi dzake dziri mumba, ngaarege kuburuka kundodzitora; neari kumunda saizvozvo ngaarege kudzokera zvinhu zviri shure.
In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
32 Yeukai mukadzi waRoti.
Remember Lot [Veil, Covering]’s wife!
33 Ani nani anotsvaka kuponesa upenyu hwake acharasikirwa nahwo, uye ani nani anorasikirwa nahwo achahuraramisa.
Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
34 Ndinoti kwamuri: Muusiku uhwo kuchava nevaviri pamubhedha umwe; umwe achatorwa, uye umwe achasiiwa.
I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35 Vaviri vachava vachikuya pamwe, umwe achatorwa, uye umwe achasiiwa.
There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.
36 Vaviri vachava mumunda; umwe achatorwa, uye umwe asiiwe.
Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”
37 Zvino vakapindura vakati kwaari: Kupi Ishe? Ndokuti kwavari: Pane mutumbi, ndipo pachaunganidzwa magora.
They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
