Титу 3

1 Опомињи их да буду покорни и послушни господарима и заповедницима, и готови на свако добро дело;

And admonish them to be submissive and obedient to princes and potentates; and that they be ready for every good work;

2 Ни на кога да не хуле, да се не свађају, него да буду мирни, сваку кротост да показују свим људима,

and that they speak ill of no man; that they be not contentious, but mild; and that in every thing they manifest benignity towards all men.

3 Јер и ми бејасмо некада луди, и непокорни, и преварени, служећи различним жељама и сластима, у пакости и зависти живећи, мрски будући и мрзећи један на другог.

For we also were formerly reckless, and disobedient, and erring, and serving divers lusts, and living in malice and envy, and were hateful and also hating one another.

4 А кад се показа благодат и човекољубље Спаса нашег Бога,

But when the kindness and compassion of God our Life-giver was revealed,

5 Не за дела праведна која ми учинисмо, него по својој милости спасе нас бањом прерођења и обновљењем Духа Светог,

not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his mercy, he vivified us, by the washing of the new birth, and by the renovation of the Holy Spirit,

6 Ког изли на нас обилно кроз Исуса Христа Спаситеља нашег,

which he shed on us abundantly, by Jesus the Messiah our Life-giver:

7 Да се оправдамо благодаћу Његовом, и да будемо наследници живота вечног по нади. (aiōnios g166)

that we might be justified by his grace, and become heirs in the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

8 Сине Тите! Истинита је реч, и у овоме хоћу да утврђујеш, да се они који вероваше Богу труде и старају за добро дело: ово је корисно људима и добро.

Faithful is the word: and in these things, I would have thee also establish them; so that they, who have believed in God, may be careful to cultivate good works: these are the things, which are good, and profitable to men.

9 А лудих запиткивања и тефтера од племена, и свађа и препирања о закону клони се; јер је то некорисно и празно.

But foolish questions, and stories of genealogies, and the disputes and contests of the scribes, avoid: for there is no profit in them, and they are vain.

10 Човека јеретика по првом и другом саветовању клони се,

An heretical man, after thou hast instructed him once and again, avoid:

11 Знајући да се такав изопачио, и греши, и сам је себе осудио.

and know thou, that such a man is perverse, and sinful, and self-condemned.

12 Кад пошаљем к теби Артему или Тихика, постарај се да дођеш к мени у Никопољ, јер сам намислио да онде зимујем.

When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, strive thou to come to me at Nicopolis; for I have purposed to winter there.

13 Зину законика и Апола лепо опреми да имају све што им треба.

As for Zenas the scribe, and Apollos, endeavor to help them well on their way, that they may want nothing.

14 Али и наши нека се уче напредовати у добрим делима, ако где буде од потребе да не буду без рода.

And let our people learn also to perform good works, on occasions of emergency, that they may not be unfruitful.

15 Поздрављају те сви који су са мном. Поздрави све који нас љубе у вери. Благодат са свима вама. Амин.

All they that are with me salute thee. Salute all them who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
