1 Али ово знај да ће у последње дане настати времена тешка.
But know this, that in the last days trying times will come.
2 Јер ће људи постати саможиви, среброљупци, хвалише, поносити, хулници, непокорни родитељима, неблагодарни, неправедни, нељубавни,
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, revilers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Непримирљиви, опадачи, неуздржници, бесни, недоброљубиви,
without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, haters of those who are good,
4 Издајници, нагли, надувени, који више маре за сласти него за Бога,
traitors, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,
5 Који имају обличје побожности, а силе су се њене одрекли. И ових се клони.
having a form of godliness, but denying its power: from these also turn away.
6 Јер су од ових они који се завлаче по кућама, и робе женице које су натоварене гресима и воде их различне жеље,
For of this sort are those who worm themselves into houses, and lead captive silly women that are laden with sins, and influenced by various desires,
7 Које се свагда уче, и никад не могу да дођу к познању истине.
that are always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Као што се Јаније и Јамврије противише Мојсију, тако се и ови противе истини, људи изопаченог ума, невешти у вери.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so these also will withstand the truth; men corrupt in mind, rejected as it respects the faith.
9 Али неће дуго напредовати; јер ће њихово безумље постати јавно пред свима, као и оних што поста.
But they shall proceed no further; for their madness shall be manifest to all, as was the madness of those men.
10 А ти си се угледао на моју науку, живљење, намеру, веру, сношење, љубав, трпљење,
But you have fully known my teaching, my course of life, my purpose, my faithfulness, my long-suffering, my love, my patience,
11 Протеривања, страдања, каква ми се догодише у Антиохији, и у Иконији, и у Листри, каква протеривања поднесох, и од свих ме избави Господ.
my persecutions, my sufferings which came upon me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; you well know what persecutions I endured: and yet out of them all, the Lord delivered me.
12 А и сви који побожно хоће да живе у Христу Исусу, биће гоњени.
And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution.
13 А зли људи и варалице напредоваће на горе, варајући и варајући се.
But evil men and impostors will become worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 Али ти стој у томе што си научио и што ти је поверено, знајући од кога си се научио,
But do you continue in the things which you have learned and well understood, knowing from whom you learned them,
15 И будући да из малена умеш света писма, која те могу умудрити на спасење у Христу Исусу.
and that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise in order to salvation, through faith that is in Christ Jesus.
16 Све је писмо од Бога дано, и корисно за учење, за карање, за поправљање, за поучавање у правди,
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 Да буде савршен човек Божји, за свако добро дело приправљен.
that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for every good work.
