1 И одвоји Давид с војводама за службу синове Асафове и Еманове и Једутунове, који ће пророковати уз гусле и псалтире и кимвале; и бише између њих избројани људи за посао у својој служби:
David and the leaders of the army selected some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service:
2 Од синова Асафових: Захур и Јосиф и Нетанија и Асарила, синови Асафови, под руком Асафа, који пророковаше по наредби царевој;
From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the king's supervision.
3 Од Једутуна: шест синова Једутунових: Гедалија и Сорије и Јесаија, Асавија и Мататија и Симеј под руком оца свог Једутуна, који пророковаше уз гусле хвалећи и славећи Господа;
From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six in all, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who played the harp for giving thanks and praising Yahweh.
4 Од Емана: синови Еманови: Вукија, Матанија, Озило, Севуило и Јеримот, Ананија и Ананије, Елијата, Гидалтија и Ромамти-Езер, Јосвекаса, Малотије, Отир и Мазиот.
From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
5 Ти сви беху синови Емана видеоца царевог у речима Божијим да се узвишује рог; јер Бог даде Еману четрнаест синова и три кћери.
All these were the sons of Heman the king's prophet. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters to lift up his horn.
6 Сви они беху под руком оца свог певајући у дому Господњем уз кимвале и псалтире и гусле, за службу у дому Божијем, како цар наређиваше Асафу и Једутуну и Еману.
All these were under the direction of their fathers. They were musicians in Yahweh's house, with cymbals and stringed instruments as they served in God's house. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the king's supervision.
7 И беше их на број с браћом њиховом обученом песмама Господњим, двеста и осамдесет и осам, самих вештака.
They and their brothers who were skilled and trained to make music to Yahweh numbered 288.
8 И бацише жреб за службу своју, мали као велики, учитељ као ученик;
They cast lots for their duties, all alike, the same for the young as well as the old, the teacher as well as the student.
9 И паде први жреб за Асафа на Јосифа, други на Гедалију с браћом и синовима његовим, њих дванаест;
Now regarding Asaph's sons: The first lot fell to Joseph's family; the second fell to Gedaliah's family, twelve persons in number;
10 Трећи на Захура, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the third fell to Zaccur, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
11 Четврти на Исерија, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the fourth fell to Izri, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
12 Пети на Нетанију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the fifth fell to Nethaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
13 Шести на Вукију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the sixth fell to Bukkiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
14 Седми на Јесарилу, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the seventh fell to Jesarelah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
15 Осми на Јесаију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the eighth fell to Jeshaiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
16 Девети на Матанију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the ninth fell to Mattaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
17 Десети на Симеја, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the tenth fell to Shimei, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
18 Једанаести на Азареила, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the eleventh fell to Azarel, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
19 Дванаести на Асавију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the twelfth fell to Hashabiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
20 Тринаести на Савуила, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the thirteenth fell to Shubael, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
21 Четрнаести на Мататију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the fourteenth fell to Mattithiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
22 Петнаести на Јеремота, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the fifteenth fell to Jerimoth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
23 Шеснаести на Ананију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the sixteenth fell to Hananiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
24 Седамнаести на Јосвекасу, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the seventeenth fell to Joshbekashah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
25 Осамнаести на Ананија, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the eighteenth fell to Hanani, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
26 Деветнаести на Малотија, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the nineteenth fell to Mallothi, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
27 Двадесети на Елијату, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the twentieth fell to Eliathah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
28 Двадесет први на Отира, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the twenty-first fell to Hothir, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
29 Двадесет други на Гидалтију, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the twenty-second fell to Giddalti, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
30 Двадесет трећи на Мазиота, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
the twenty-third fell to Mahazioth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
31 Двадесет четврти на Ромамти-Езера, синове његове и браћу његову, њих дванаест;
