1 И сабраше се сви Израиљци к Давиду у Хеврон, и рекоше: Ево, ми смо кост твоја и тело твоје.
Then all Israel gathered themselues to Dauid vnto Hebron, saying, Beholde, we are thy bones and thy flesh.
2 И пре, док Саул беше цар ти си одводио и доводио Израиља; и Господ Бог твој рекао ти је: Ти ћеш пасти народ мој Израиља; и ти ћеш бити вођ народу мом Израиљу.
And in time past, euen when Saul was King, thou leddest Israel out and in: and the Lord thy God sayde vnto thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be captaine ouer my people Israel.
3 Тако дођоше све старешине Израиљеве к цару у Хеврон, и учини с њима Давид веру у Хеврону пред Господом, и помазаше Давида за цара над Израиљем као што беше рекао Господ преко Самуила.
So came all the Elders of Israel to the King to Hebron, and Dauid made a couenant with them in Hebron before the Lord. And they anoynted Dauid King ouer Israel, according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Samuel.
4 Потом отиде Давид са свим Израиљем на Јерусалим, а то је Јевус, јер онде беху Јевусеји, који живљаху у оној земљи.
And Dauid and all Israel went to Ierusalem, which is Iebus, where were the Iebusites, the inhabitants of the land.
5 И рекоше Јевушани Давиду: Нећеш ући овамо. Али Давид узе кулу Сион, то је град Давидов.
And the inhabitants of Iebus said to Dauid, Thou shalt not come in hither. Neuertheles Dauid tooke the towre of Zion, which is the city of Dauid.
6 Јер Давид рече: Ко први надбије Јевусеје, биће кнез и војвода. И Јоав, син Серујин изиђе први, и поста кнез.
And Dauid sayd, Whosoeuer smiteth the Iebusites first, shalbe the chiefe and captaine. So Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah went first vp, and was captaine.
7 После сеђаше Давид у том граду, зато га прозваше град Давидов.
And Dauid dwelt in the tower: therefore they called it the citie of Dauid.
8 И сазида град унаоколо, од Милона унаоколо; а Јоав оправи остатак града.
And he built the citie on euery side, from Millo euen round about, and Ioab repaired the rest of the citie.
9 И Давид једнако напредоваше и сиљаше се, јер Господ над војскама беше с њим.
And Dauid prospered, and grewe: for the Lord of hostes was with him.
10 А ово су поглавице међу јунацима Давидовим, који јуначки радише уза њ за царство његово са свим Израиљем да буде цар над Израиљем по речи Господњој;
These also are the chiefe of the valiant men that were with Dauid, and ioyned their force with him in his kingdome with al Israel, to make him King ouer Israel, according to the worde of the Lord.
11 И ово је број јунака Давидових: Јасовеам син Ахмонијев, први између тридесет; он махну копљем својим на три стотине, и поби их у једанпут.
And this is the nomber of the valiant men whome Dauid had, Iashobeam the sonne of Hachmoni, the chiefe among thirtie: he lift vp his speare against three hundreth, whom he slewe at one time.
12 А за њим Елеазар, син Додов Ахошанин, он беше један од три јунака.
And after him was Eleazar the sonne of Dodo the Ahohite, which was one of the three valiant men.
13 Он беше с Давидом у Фас-Дамиму, кад се Филистеји скупише на бој; и онде беше њива пуна јечма, и народ побеже од Филистеја,
He was with Dauid at Pas-dammim, and there the Philistims were gathered together to battel: and there was a parcell of ground full of barley, and the people fled before the Philistims.
14 А они стадоше усред њиве, и одбранише је побивши Филистеје; и Господ даде избављење велико.
And they stood in the middes of the field, and saued it, and slewe the Philistims: so the Lord gaue a great victorie.
15 И та три прва између тридесет сиђоше ка стени к Давиду у пећину Одоламску, кад војска филистејска стајаше у логору у долини рафајској.
And three of the thirtie captaines went to a rocke to Dauid, into the caue of Adullam. And the armie of the Philistims camped in the valley of Rephaim.
16 А Давид беше онда у граду, а стража филистејска беше тада у Витлејему.
And when Dauid was in the hold, the Philistims garison was at Beth-lehem.
17 И Давид зажеле и рече: Ко би ми донео воде да пијем из студенца витлејемског што је код врата?
And Dauid longed, and said, Oh, that one would giue me to drinke of the water of the well of Beth-lehem that is at the gate.
18 Тада та тројица продреше кроз логор филистејски, и захватише воде из студенца витлејемског који је код врата, и донесоше и дадоше Давиду; а Давид не хте пити, него је изли Господу.
Then these three brake thorowe the hoste of the Philistims, and drewe water out of the well of Beth-lehem that was by the gate, and tooke it and brought it to Dauid: but Dauid would not drinke of it, but powred it for an oblation to the Lord,
19 И рече: Не дао ми Бог мој да то учиним! Еда ли ћу пити крв тих људи који не марише за живот свој? Јер је донесоше не марећи за живот свој. И не хте је пити. То учинише та три јунака.
And said, Let not my God suffer me to do this: should I drinke the blood of these mens liues? for they haue brought it with the ieopardie of their liues: therefore he would not drinke it: these things did these three mightie men.
20 И Ависај брат Јоавов беше први између тројице. И он махну копљем својим на три стотине, и поби их, и прослави се међу тројицом;
And Abishai the brother of Ioab, he was chiefe of the three, and he lift vp his speare against three hundreth, and slew them, and had the name among the three.
21 Међу тројицом беше славнији од друге двојице и беше им поглавица; али оне тројице не стиже.
Among the three he was more honourable then the two, and he was their captaine: but he attained not vnto the first three.
22 Венаја син Јодајев, син човека јунака из Касеила, који учини велика дела, он погуби два јунака моавска, и сишав уби лава у јами кад беше снег.
Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada (the sonne of a valiant man) which had done many actes, and was of Kabzeel, he slewe two strong men of Moab: he went downe also and slewe a lion in the middes of a pit in time of snowe.
23 Он уби и неког Мисирца високог пет лаката. Имаше Мисирац у руци копље као вратило, а он изиђе на њ са штапом, и истрже Мисирцу копље из руке, и уби га његовим копљем.
And he slewe an Egyptian, a man of great stature, euen fiue cubites long, and in the Egyptians hand was a speare like a weauers beame: and he went downe to him with a staffe, and plucked the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slewe him with his owne speare.
24 То учини Венаја, син Јодајев, и би славан међу ова три јунака.
These things did Benaiah ye sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three worthies.
25 Беше најславнији између тридесеторице, али оне тројице не стиже. И Давид га постави над пратиоцима својим.
Behold, he was honourable among thirtie, but he attained not vnto the first three. And Dauid made him of his counsell.
26 Јунаци између војника беху: Асаило, брат Јоавов, Елханан, син Додов из Витлејема,
These also were valiant men of warre, Asahel the brother of Ioab, Elhanan the sonne of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
27 Самот Арорарин, Хелис Фелоњанин,
Shammoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite,
28 Ира син Икисов из Текује, Авијезер из Анатота,
Ira the sonne of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
29 Сивехај из Хусата, Илај из Ахоха,
Sibbecai the Husathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
30 Марај из Нетофата, Хелед син Ванин из Нетофата,
Maharai the Netophathite, Heled ye sonne of Baanah the Netophathite,
31 Итај, син Ривајев из Гаваје синова Венијаминових, Венаја из Фаратона,
Ithai the sonne of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Beniamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
32 Урај од потока гаских, Авило из Арвата,
Hurai of the riuers of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
33 Азмавет из Варума, Елијава из Салвона,
Azmaueth the Baharumite, Elihaba the Shaalbonite,
34 Синови Асима Гизоњанина, Јонатан син Сагијин Араранин,
The sonnes of Hashem the Gizonite, Ionathan the sonne of Shageh the Harite,
35 Ахијам син Сахаров Араранин, Елифар син Уров,
Ahiam the sonne of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the sonne of Vr,
36 Ефер из Мехирата, Ахија из Фелона,
Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahiiah the Pelonite,
37 Есро Кармилац, Нарав син Есвајев,
Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the sonne of Ezbai,
38 Јоило брат Натанов, Мивар син Агиријев,
Ioel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the sonne of Haggeri,
39 Селек Амонац, Нарај Вироћанин, који ношаше оружје Јоаву, сину Серујином,
Zelek the Ammonite, Nahrai the Berothite, the armour bearer of Ioab, the sonne of Zeruiah,
40 Ира Јетранин, Гарив Јетранин,
Ira the Ithrite, Garib the Ithrite,
41 Урија Хетејин, Завад син Алајев,
Vriah the Hittite, Zabad the sonne of Ahlai,
42 Адина, син Сизин од синова Рувимових, поглавар синова Рувимових, и тридесет с њим,
Adina the sonne of Shiza the Reubenite, a captaine of the Reubenites, and thirtie with him,
43 Анан син Масин, и Јосафат из Митне,
Hanan the sonne of Maachah, and Ioshaphat the Mithnite,
44 Озија из Асетрота, Сама и Јехило синови Хотана Ароиранина,
Vzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Ieiel the sonnes of Otham the Aroerite,
45 Једиаило син Симријев и Јоха брат му из Тисе,
Iediael the sonne of Shimri, and Ioha his brother the Tizite,
46 Елило Мављанин, и Јеривај и Јосавија синови Елнамови, и Јетема Моавац,
Eliel the Mahauite, and Ieribai and Ioshauiah the sonnes of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
47 Елило и Овид и Јасило из Месоваје.
Eliel and Obed, and Iaasiel the Mesobaite.
