< یوہَنَح 1 >

آدَو وادَ آسِیتْ سَ چَ وادَ اِیشْوَرینَ سارْدھَماسِیتْ سَ وادَح سْوَیَمِیشْوَرَ ایوَ۔ 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
سَ آداوِیشْوَرینَ سَہاسِیتْ۔ 2
The same was in the beginning with God.
تینَ سَرْوَّں وَسْتُ سَسرِجے سَرْوّیشُ سرِشْٹَوَسْتُشُ کِمَپِ وَسْتُ تیناسرِشْٹَں ناسْتِ۔ 3
All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made.
سَ جِیوَنَسْیاکارَح، تَچَّ جِیوَنَں مَنُشْیاناں جْیوتِح 4
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
تَجّیوتِرَنْدھَکارے پْرَچَکاشے کِنْتْوَنْدھَکارَسْتَنَّ جَگْراہَ۔ 5
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.
یوہَنْ نامَکَ ایکو مَنُجَ اِیشْوَرینَ پْریشَیانْچَکْرے۔ 6
There came a man sent from God, whose name was Yochanan.
تَدْوارا یَتھا سَرْوّے وِشْوَسَنْتِ تَدَرْتھَں سَ تَجّیوتِشِ پْرَمانَں داتُں ساکْشِسْوَرُوپو بھُوتْواگَمَتْ، 7
The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him.
سَ سْوَیَں تَجّیوتِ رْنَ کِنْتُ تَجّیوتِشِ پْرَمانَں داتُماگَمَتْ۔ 8
He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light.
جَگَتْیاگَتْیَ یَح سَرْوَّمَنُجیبھْیو دِیپْتِں دَداتِ تَدیوَ سَتْیَجْیوتِح۔ 9
The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.
سَ یَجَّگَدَسرِجَتْ تَنْمَدْیَ ایوَ سَ آسِیتْ کِنْتُ جَگَتو لوکاسْتَں ناجانَنْ۔ 10
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognise him.
نِجادھِکارَں سَ آگَچّھَتْ کِنْتُ پْرَجاسْتَں ناگرِہْلَنْ۔ 11
He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him.
تَتھاپِ یے یے تَمَگرِہْلَنْ اَرْتھاتْ تَسْیَ نامْنِ وْیَشْوَسَنْ تیبھْیَ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ پُتْرا بھَوِتُمْ اَدھِکارَمْ اَدَداتْ۔ 12
But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name:
تیشاں جَنِح شونِتانَّ شارِیرِکابھِلاشانَّ مانَوانامِچّھاتو نَ کِنْتْوِیشْوَرادَبھَوَتْ۔ 13
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
سَ وادو مَنُشْیَرُوپیناوَتِیرْیَّ سَتْیَتانُگْرَہابھْیاں پَرِپُورْنَح سَنْ سارْدھَمْ اَسْمابھِ رْنْیَوَسَتْ تَتَح پِتُرَدْوِتِییَپُتْرَسْیَ یوگْیو یو مَہِما تَں مَہِمانَں تَسْیاپَشْیامَ۔ 14
The Word became flesh and lived amongst us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
تَتو یوہَنَپِ پْرَچارْیَّ ساکْشْیَمِدَں دَتَّوانْ یو مَمَ پَشْچادْ آگَمِشْیَتِ سَ مَتّو گُرُتَرَح؛ یَتو مَتْپُورْوَّں سَ وِدْیَمانَ آسِیتْ؛ یَدَرْتھَمْ اَہَں ساکْشْیَمِدَمْ اَداں سَ ایشَح۔ 15
Yochanan testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’”
اَپَرَنْچَ تَسْیَ پُورْنَتایا وَیَں سَرْوّے کْرَمَشَح کْرَمَشونُگْرَہَں پْراپْتاح۔ 16
From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.
مُوسادْوارا وْیَوَسْتھا دَتّا کِنْتْوَنُگْرَہَح سَتْیَتْوَنْچَ یِیشُکھْرِیشْٹَدْوارا سَمُپاتِشْٹھَتاں۔ 17
For the Torah was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realised through Yeshua the Messiah.
کوپِ مَنُجَ اِیشْوَرَں کَداپِ ناپَشْیَتْ کِنْتُ پِتُح کْروڈَسْتھودْوِتِییَح پُتْرَسْتَں پْرَکاشَیَتْ۔ 18
No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.
تْوَں کَح؟ اِتِ واکْیَں پْریشْٹُں یَدا یِہُودِییَلوکا یاجَکانْ لیوِلوکاںشْچَ یِرُوشالَمو یوہَنَح سَمِیپے پْریشَیاماسُح، 19
This is Yochanan’s testimony, when the Judeans sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”
تَدا سَ سْوِیکرِتَوانْ ناپَہْنُوتَوانْ ناہَمْ اَبھِشِکْتَ اِتْیَنْگِیکرِتَوانْ۔ 20
He declared, and didn’t deny, but he declared, “I am not the Messiah.”
تَدا تےپرِچّھَنْ تَرْہِ کو بھَوانْ؟ کِں ایلِیَح؟ سووَدَتْ نَ؛ تَتَسْتےپرِچّھَنْ تَرْہِ بھَوانْ سَ بھَوِشْیَدْوادِی؟ سووَدَتْ ناہَں سَح۔ 21
They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” He answered, “No.”
تَدا تےپرِچّھَنْ تَرْہِ بھَوانْ کَح؟ وَیَں گَتْوا پْریرَکانْ تْوَیِ کِں وَکْشْیامَح؟ سْوَسْمِنْ کِں وَدَسِ؟ 22
They said therefore to him, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
تَدا سووَدَتْ۔ پَرَمیشَسْیَ پَنْتھانَں پَرِشْکُرُتَ سَرْوَّتَح۔ اِتِیدَں پْرانْتَرے واکْیَں وَدَتَح کَسْیَچِدْرَوَح۔ کَتھامِماں یَسْمِنْ یِشَیِیو بھَوِشْیَدْوادِی لِکھِتَوانْ سوہَمْ۔ 23
He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”
یے پْریشِتاسْتے پھِرُوشِلوکاح۔ 24
The ones who had been sent were from the Pharisees.
تَدا تےپرِچّھَنْ یَدِ نابھِشِکْتوسِ ایلِیوسِ نَ سَ بھَوِشْیَدْوادْیَپِ ناسِ چَ، تَرْہِ لوکانْ مَجَّیَسِ کُتَح؟ 25
They asked him, “Why then do you immerse if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”
تَتو یوہَنْ پْرَتْیَووچَتْ، تویےہَں مَجَّیامِیتِ سَتْیَں کِنْتُ یَں یُویَں نَ جانِیتھَ تادرِشَ ایکو جَنو یُشْماکَں مَدھْیَ اُپَتِشْٹھَتِ۔ 26
Yochanan answered them, “I immerse in water, but amongst you stands one whom you don’t know.
سَ مَتْپَشْچادْ آگَتوپِ مَتْپُورْوَّں وَرْتَّمانَ آسِیتْ تَسْیَ پادُکابَنْدھَنَں موچَیِتُمَپِ ناہَں یوگْیوسْمِ۔ 27
He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.”
یَرْدَّنَنَدْیاح پارَسْتھَبَیتھَبارایاں یَسْمِنْسْتھانے یوہَنَمَجَّیَتْ تَسْمِنَ سْتھانے سَرْوَّمیتَدْ اَگھَٹَتَ۔ 28
These things were done in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where Yochanan was immersing.
پَرےہَنِ یوہَنْ سْوَنِکَٹَماگَچّھَنْتَں یِشُں وِلوکْیَ پْراووچَتْ جَگَتَح پاپَموچَکَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ میشَشاوَکَں پَشْیَتَ۔ 29
The next day, he saw Yeshua coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
یو مَمَ پَشْچاداگَمِشْیَتِ سَ مَتّو گُرُتَرَح، یَتو ہیتورْمَتْپُورْوَّں سووَرْتَّتَ یَسْمِنَّہَں کَتھامِماں کَتھِتَوانْ سَ ایوایَں۔ 30
This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’
اَپَرَں ناہَمینَں پْرَتْیَبھِجْناتَوانْ کِنْتُ اِسْراییلّوکا اینَں یَتھا پَرِچِنْوَنْتِ تَدَبھِپْراییناہَں جَلے مَجَّیِتُماگَچّھَمْ۔ 31
I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came immersing in water, that he would be revealed to Israel.”
پُنَشْچَ یوہَنَپَرَمیکَں پْرَمانَں دَتْوا کَتھِتَوانْ وِہایَسَح کَپوتَوَدْ اَوَتَرَنْتَماتْمانَمْ اَسْیوپَرْیَّوَتِشْٹھَنْتَں چَ درِشْٹَوانَہَمْ۔ 32
Yochanan testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.
ناہَمینَں پْرَتْیَبھِجْناتَوانْ اِتِ سَتْیَں کِنْتُ یو جَلے مَجَّیِتُں ماں پْرَیرَیَتْ سَ ایویماں کَتھامَکَتھَیَتْ یَسْیوپَرْیّاتْمانَمْ اَوَتَرَنْتَمْ اَوَتِشْٹھَنْتَنْچَ دْرَکْشَیَسِ سَایوَ پَوِتْرے آتْمَنِ مَجَّیِشْیَتِ۔ 33
I didn’t recognise him, but he who sent me to immerse in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit.’
اَوَسْتَنِّرِیکْشْیایَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ تَنَیَ اِتِ پْرَمانَں دَدامِ۔ 34
I have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.”
پَرےہَنِ یوہَنْ دْوابھْیاں شِشْیابھْیاں سارْدّھیں تِشْٹھَنْ 35
Again, the next day, Yochanan was standing with two of his disciples,
یِشُں گَچّھَنْتَں وِلوکْیَ گَدِتَوانْ، اِیشْوَرَسْیَ میشَشاوَکَں پَشْیَتَں۔ 36
and he looked at Yeshua as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”
اِماں کَتھاں شْرُتْوا دْوَو شِشْیَو یِیشوح پَشْچادْ اِییَتُح۔ 37
The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Yeshua.
تَتو یِیشُح پَراورِتْیَ تَو پَشْچادْ آگَچّھَنْتَو درِشْٹْوا پرِشْٹَوانْ یُواں کِں گَویشَیَتھَح؟ تاوَپرِچّھَتاں ہے رَبِّ اَرْتھاتْ ہے گُرو بھَوانْ کُتْرَ تِشْٹھَتِ؟ 38
Yeshua turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?”
تَتَح سووادِتْ ایتْیَ پَشْیَتَں۔ تَتو دِوَسَسْیَ ترِتِییَپْرَہَرَسْیَ گَتَتْواتْ تَو تَدِّنَں تَسْیَ سَنْگےسْتھاتاں۔ 39
He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
یَو دْوَو یوہَنو واکْیَں شْرُتْوا یِشوح پَشْچادْ آگَمَتاں تَیوح شِمونْپِتَرَسْیَ بھْراتا آنْدْرِیَح 40
One of the two who heard Yochanan and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
سَ اِتْوا پْرَتھَمَں نِجَسودَرَں شِمونَں ساکْشاتْپْراپْیَ کَتھِتَوانْ وَیَں کھْرِیشْٹَمْ اَرْتھاتْ اَبھِشِکْتَپُرُشَں ساکْشاتْکرِتَوَنْتَح۔ 41
He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Anointed One).
پَشْچاتْ سَ تَں یِشوح سَمِیپَمْ آنَیَتْ۔ تَدا یِیشُسْتَں درِشْٹْواوَدَتْ تْوَں یُونَسَح پُتْرَح شِمونْ کِنْتُ تْوَنّامَدھییَں کَیپھاح وا پِتَرَح اَرْتھاتْ پْرَسْتَرو بھَوِشْیَتِ۔ 42
He brought him to Yeshua. Yeshua looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Kefa” (which is by interpretation, Peter).
پَرےہَنِ یِیشَو گالِیلَں گَنْتُں نِشْچِتَچیتَسِ سَتِ پھِلِپَنامانَں جَنَں ساکْشاتْپْراپْیاووچَتْ مَمَ پَشْچادْ آگَچّھَ۔ 43
On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. Yeshua said to him, “Follow me.”
بَیتْسَیدانامْنِ یَسْمِنْ گْرامے پِتَرانْدْرِیَیورْواسَ آسِیتْ تَسْمِنْ گْرامے تَسْیَ پھِلِپَسْیَ وَسَتِراسِیتْ۔ 44
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
پَشْچاتْ پھِلِپو نِتھَنیلَں ساکْشاتْپْراپْیاوَدَتْ مُوسا وْیَوَسْتھا گْرَنْتھے بھَوِشْیَدْوادِناں گْرَنْتھیشُ چَ یَسْیاکھْیانَں لِکھِتَماسْتے تَں یُوشَپھَح پُتْرَں ناسَرَتِییَں یِیشُں ساکْشادْ اَکارْشْمَ وَیَں۔ 45
Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Torah and also the prophets, wrote: Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
تَدا نِتھَنیلْ کَتھِتَوانْ ناسَرَنَّگَراتَ کِں کَشْچِدُتَّمَ اُتْپَنْتُں شَکْنوتِ؟ تَتَح پھِلِپو ووچَتْ ایتْیَ پَشْیَ۔ 46
Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
اَپَرَنْچَ یِیشُح سْوَسْیَ سَمِیپَں تَمْ آگَچّھَنْتَں درِشْٹْوا وْیاہرِتَوانْ، پَشْیایَں نِشْکَپَٹَح سَتْیَ اِسْراییلّوکَح۔ 47
Yeshua saw Nathanael coming to him, and said about him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”
تَتَح سووَدَدْ، بھَوانْ ماں کَتھَں پْرَتْیَبھِجاناتِ؟ یِیشُرَوادِیتْ پھِلِپَسْیَ آہْواناتْ پُورْوَّں یَدا تْوَمُڈُمْبَرَسْیَ تَرورْمُولےسْتھاسْتَدا تْوامَدَرْشَمْ۔ 48
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Yeshua answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
نِتھَنیلْ اَچَکَتھَتْ، ہے گُرو بھَوانْ نِتانْتَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ پُتْروسِ، بھَوانْ اِسْراییلْوَںشَسْیَ راجا۔ 49
Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”
تَتو یِیشُ رْوْیاہَرَتْ، تْوامُڈُمْبَرَسْیَ پادَپَسْیَ مُولے درِشْٹَواناہَں مَمَیتَسْمادْواکْیاتْ کِں تْوَں وْیَشْوَسِیح؟ ایتَسْمادَپْیاشْچَرْیّانِ کارْیّانِ دْرَکْشْیَسِ۔ 50
Yeshua answered him, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these!”
اَنْیَچّاوادِیدْ یُشْمانَہَں یَتھارْتھَں وَدامِ، اِتَح پَرَں موچِتے میگھَدْوارے تَسْمانْمَنُجَسُونُنا اِیشْوَرَسْیَ دُوتَگَنَمْ اَوَروہَنْتَماروہَنْتَنْچَ دْرَکْشْیَتھَ۔ 51
He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you all, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
