లూకః 14

1 అనన్తరం విశ్రామవారే యీశౌ ప్రధానస్య ఫిరూశినో గృహే భోక్తుం గతవతి తే తం వీక్షితుమ్ ఆరేభిరే|

And it chaunsed that he went into the housse of one of ye chefe pharises to eate breed on a saboth daye: and they watched him.

2 తదా జలోదరీ తస్య సమ్ముఖే స్థితః|

And beholde ther was a man before him which had the dropsye.

3 తతః స వ్యవస్థాపకాన్ ఫిరూశినశ్చ పప్రచ్ఛ, విశ్రామవారే స్వాస్థ్యం కర్త్తవ్యం న వా? తతస్తే కిమపి న ప్రత్యూచుః|

And Iesus answered and spake vnto the lawears and pharises sayinge: is it laufull to heale on the saboth daye?

4 తదా స తం రోగిణం స్వస్థం కృత్వా విససర్జ;

And they helde their peace. And he toke him and healed him and let him goo:

5 తానువాచ చ యుష్మాకం కస్యచిద్ గర్ద్దభో వృషభో వా చేద్ గర్త్తే పతతి తర్హి విశ్రామవారే తత్క్షణం స కిం తం నోత్థాపయిష్యతి?

and answered the sayinge whiche of you shall have an asse or an oxe fallen into a pitt and will not strayght waye pull him out on the Saboth daye?

6 తతస్తే కథాయా ఏతస్యాః కిమపి ప్రతివక్తుం న శేకుః|

And they coulde not answer him agayne to that.

7 అపరఞ్చ ప్రధానస్థానమనోనీతత్వకరణం విలోక్య స నిమన్త్రితాన్ ఏతదుపదేశకథాం జగాద,

He put forthe a similitude to ye gestes whe he marked how they preased to the hyest roumes and sayd vnto the:

8 త్వం వివాహాదిభోజ్యేషు నిమన్త్రితః సన్ ప్రధానస్థానే మోపావేక్షీః| త్వత్తో గౌరవాన్వితనిమన్త్రితజన ఆయాతే

When thou arte bidde to a weddynge of eny man syt not doune in ye hyest roume lest a more honorable man then thou be bidden of him

9 నిమన్త్రయితాగత్య మనుష్యాయైతస్మై స్థానం దేహీతి వాక్యం చేద్ వక్ష్యతి తర్హి త్వం సఙ్కుచితో భూత్వా స్థాన ఇతరస్మిన్ ఉపవేష్టుమ్ ఉద్యంస్యసి|

and he that bade bothe him and the come and saye to the: geve this man roume and thou then beginne with shame to take the lowest roume.

10 అస్మాత్ కారణాదేవ త్వం నిమన్త్రితో గత్వాఽప్రధానస్థాన ఉపవిశ, తతో నిమన్త్రయితాగత్య వదిష్యతి, హే బన్ధో ప్రోచ్చస్థానం గత్వోపవిశ, తథా సతి భోజనోపవిష్టానాం సకలానాం సాక్షాత్ త్వం మాన్యో భవిష్యసి|

But rather when thou arte bidden goo and syt in the lowest roume that when he that bade the cometh he maye saye vnto the: frende syt vp hyer. Then shalt thou have worshippe in the presence of them that syt at meate with the.

11 యః కశ్చిత్ స్వమున్నమయతి స నమయిష్యతే, కిన్తు యః కశ్చిత్ స్వం నమయతి స ఉన్నమయిష్యతే|

For whosoever exalteth him sylfe shalbe brought lowe. And he yt hubleth him sylfe shalbe exalted

12 తదా స నిమన్త్రయితారం జనమపి జగాద, మధ్యాహ్నే రాత్రౌ వా భోజ్యే కృతే నిజబన్ధుగణో వా భ్రాతృగణో వా జ్ఞాతిగణో వా ధనిగణో వా సమీపవాసిగణో వా ఏతాన్ న నిమన్త్రయ, తథా కృతే చేత్ తే త్వాం నిమన్త్రయిష్యన్తి, తర్హి పరిశోధో భవిష్యతి|

Then sayde he also to him that had desyred him to diner: When thou makest a diner or a supper: call not thy frendes nor thy brethre nether thy kinsmen nor yet ryche neghbours: lest they bidde the agayne and a recompence be made the.

13 కిన్తు యదా భేజ్యం కరోషి తదా దరిద్రశుష్కకరఖఞ్జాన్ధాన్ నిమన్త్రయ,

But when thou makest afeast call the poore the maymed the lame and the blynde

14 తత ఆశిషం లప్స్యసే, తేషు పరిశోధం కర్త్తుమశక్నువత్సు శ్మశానాద్ధార్మ్మికానాముత్థానకాలే త్వం ఫలాం లప్స్యసే|

and thou shalt be happy for they cannot recompence the. But thou shalt be recompensed at the resurreccion of the iuste men.

15 అనన్తరం తాం కథాం నిశమ్య భోజనోపవిష్టః కశ్చిత్ కథయామాస, యో జన ఈశ్వరస్య రాజ్యే భోక్తుం లప్స్యతే సఏవ ధన్యః|

When one of them that sate at meate also hearde that he sayde vnto him: happy is he that eateth breed in the kyngdome of God.

16 తతః స ఉవాచ, కశ్చిత్ జనో రాత్రౌ భేజ్యం కృత్వా బహూన్ నిమన్త్రయామాస|

Then sayd he to him. A certayne man ordened a greate supper and bade many

17 తతో భోజనసమయే నిమన్త్రితలోకాన్ ఆహ్వాతుం దాసద్వారా కథయామాస, ఖద్యద్రవ్యాణి సర్వ్వాణి సమాసాదితాని సన్తి, యూయమాగచ్ఛత|

and sent his servaunt at supper tyme to saye to them that wer bidden come: for all thinges are now redy.

18 కిన్తు తే సర్వ్వ ఏకైకం ఛలం కృత్వా క్షమాం ప్రార్థయాఞ్చక్రిరే| ప్రథమో జనః కథయామాస, క్షేత్రమేకం క్రీతవానహం తదేవ ద్రష్టుం మయా గన్తవ్యమ్, అతఏవ మాం క్షన్తుం తం నివేదయ|

And they all atonce begane to make excuse. The fyrst sayd vnto him: I have bought a ferme and I must nedes goo and se it I praye the have me excused.

19 అన్యో జనః కథయామాస, దశవృషానహం క్రీతవాన్ తాన్ పరీక్షితుం యామి తస్మాదేవ మాం క్షన్తుం తం నివేదయ|

And another sayd: I hove bought fyve yooke of oxen and I goo to prove them I praye the have me excused.

20 అపరః కథయామాస, వ్యూఢవానహం తస్మాత్ కారణాద్ యాతుం న శక్నోమి|

The thyrde sayd: I have maried a wyfe and therfore I cannot come.

21 పశ్చాత్ స దాసో గత్వా నిజప్రభోః సాక్షాత్ సర్వ్వవృత్తాన్తం నివేదయామాస, తతోసౌ గృహపతిః కుపిత్వా స్వదాసం వ్యాజహార, త్వం సత్వరం నగరస్య సన్నివేశాన్ మార్గాంశ్చ గత్వా దరిద్రశుష్కకరఖఞ్జాన్ధాన్ అత్రానయ|

And the servaunt went and brought his master worde therof. Then was the good man of the housse displeased and sayd to his servaut: Goo out quickly into ye stretes and quarters of the cite and bringe in hidder the poore and the maymed and the halt and the blynde.

22 తతో దాసోఽవదత్, హే ప్రభో భవత ఆజ్ఞానుసారేణాక్రియత తథాపి స్థానమస్తి|

And the servaut sayd: lorde it is done as thou comaundedst and yet ther is roume.

23 తదా ప్రభుః పున ర్దాసాయాకథయత్, రాజపథాన్ వృక్షమూలాని చ యాత్వా మదీయగృహపూరణార్థం లోకానాగన్తుం ప్రవర్త్తయ|

And the lorde sayd to the servaunt: Go out into ye hye wayes and hedges and compell the to come in that my housse maye be filled.

24 అహం యుష్మభ్యం కథయామి, పూర్వ్వనిమన్త్రితానమేకోపి మమాస్య రాత్రిభోజ్యస్యాస్వాదం న ప్రాప్స్యతి|

For I saye vnto you that none of those men which were bidde shall tast of my supper.

25 అనన్తరం బహుషు లోకేషు యీశోః పశ్చాద్ వ్రజితేషు సత్సు స వ్యాఘుట్య తేభ్యః కథయామాస,

Ther went agreate copany with him and he turned and sayde vnto them:

26 యః కశ్చిన్ మమ సమీపమ్ ఆగత్య స్వస్య మాతా పితా పత్నీ సన్తానా భ్రాతరో భగిమ్యో నిజప్రాణాశ్చ, ఏతేభ్యః సర్వ్వేభ్యో మయ్యధికం ప్రేమ న కరోతి, స మమ శిష్యో భవితుం న శక్ష్యతి|

If a man come to me and hate not his father and mother and wyfe and chyldren and brethren and sisters more over and his awne lyfe he cannot be my disciple.

27 యః కశ్చిత్ స్వీయం క్రుశం వహన్ మమ పశ్చాన్న గచ్ఛతి, సోపి మమ శిష్యో భవితుం న శక్ష్యతి|

And whosoever beare not his crosse and come after me cannot be my disciple.

28 దుర్గనిర్మ్మాణే కతివ్యయో భవిష్యతి, తథా తస్య సమాప్తికరణార్థం సమ్పత్తిరస్తి న వా, ప్రథమముపవిశ్య ఏతన్న గణయతి, యుష్మాకం మధ్య ఏతాదృశః కోస్తి?

Which of you disposed to bilde a toure sytteth not doune before and counteth ye cost whether he have sufficient to performe it?

29 నోచేద్ భిత్తిం కృత్వా శేషే యది సమాపయితుం న శక్ష్యతి,

lest after he hath layde ye foundacion and is not able to performe it all yt beholde it beginne to mocke him

30 తర్హి మానుషోయం నిచేతుమ్ ఆరభత సమాపయితుం నాశక్నోత్, ఇతి వ్యాహృత్య సర్వ్వే తముపహసిష్యన్తి|

sayinge: this man beganne to bilde and was not able to make an ende.

31 అపరఞ్చ భిన్నభూపతినా సహ యుద్ధం కర్త్తుమ్ ఉద్యమ్య దశసహస్రాణి సైన్యాని గృహీత్వా వింశతిసహస్రేః సైన్యైః సహితస్య సమీపవాసినః సమ్ముఖం యాతుం శక్ష్యామి న వేతి ప్రథమం ఉపవిశ్య న విచారయతి ఏతాదృశో భూమిపతిః కః?

Or what kynge goeth to make batayle agaynst another kinge and sitteth not doune fyrst and casteth in his mynde whether he be able wt ten thousande to mete him that cometh agaynst him wt. xx thousand.

32 యది న శక్నోతి తర్హి రిపావతిదూరే తిష్ఠతి సతి నిజదూతం ప్రేష్య సన్ధిం కర్త్తుం ప్రార్థయేత|

Or els whyll ye other is yet a greate waye of he will sende embasseatours and desyre peace.

33 తద్వద్ యుష్మాకం మధ్యే యః కశ్చిన్ మదర్థం సర్వ్వస్వం హాతుం న శక్నోతి స మమ శిష్యో భవితుం న శక్ష్యతి|

So lykewyse none of you yt forsaketh not all yt he hath can be my disciple.

34 లవణమ్ ఉత్తమమ్ ఇతి సత్యం, కిన్తు యది లవణస్య లవణత్వమ్ అపగచ్ఛతి తర్హి తత్ కథం స్వాదుయుక్తం భవిష్యతి?

Salt is good but yf salt have loste hyr saltnes what shall be seasoned ther with?

35 తద భూమ్యర్థమ్ ఆలవాలరాశ్యర్థమపి భద్రం న భవతి; లోకాస్తద్ బహిః క్షిపన్తి| యస్య శ్రోతుం శ్రోత్రే స్తః స శృణోతు|

It is nether good for ye londe nor yet for ye donge hill but men cast it out at ye dores. He yt hath eares to heare let him heare.
