1 తీమథియః 1

1 అస్మాకం త్రాణకర్త్తురీశ్వరస్యాస్మాకం ప్రత్యాశాభూమేః ప్రభో ర్యీశుఖ్రీష్టస్య చాజ్ఞానుసారతో యీశుఖ్రీష్టస్య ప్రేరితః పౌలః స్వకీయం సత్యం ధర్మ్మపుత్రం తీమథియం ప్రతి పత్రం లిఖతి|

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope;

2 అస్మాకం తాత ఈశ్వరోఽస్మాకం ప్రభు ర్యీశుఖ్రీష్టశ్చ త్వయి అనుగ్రహం దయాం శాన్తిఞ్చ కుర్య్యాస్తాం|

unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 మాకిదనియాదేశే మమ గమనకాలే త్వమ్ ఇఫిషనగరే తిష్ఠన్ ఇతరశిక్షా న గ్రహీతవ్యా, అనన్తేషూపాఖ్యానేషు వంశావలిషు చ యుష్మాభి ర్మనో న నివేశితవ్యమ్

As I exhorted thee to tarry at Ephesus, when I was going into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge certain men not to teach a different doctrine,

4 ఇతి కాంశ్చిత్ లోకాన్ యద్ ఉపదిశేరేతత్ మయాదిష్టోఽభవః, యతః సర్వ్వైరేతై ర్విశ్వాసయుక్తేశ్వరీయనిష్ఠా న జాయతే కిన్తు వివాదో జాయతే|

neither to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, the which minister questionings, rather than a dispensation of God which is in faith; [so do I now].

5 ఉపదేశస్య త్వభిప్రేతం ఫలం నిర్మ్మలాన్తఃకరణేన సత్సంవేదేన నిష్కపటవిశ్వాసేన చ యుక్తం ప్రేమ|

But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned:

6 కేచిత్ జనాశ్చ సర్వ్వాణ్యేతాని విహాయ నిరర్థకకథానామ్ అనుగమనేన విపథగామినోఽభవన్,

from which things some having swerved have turned aside unto vain talking;

7 యద్ భాషన్తే యచ్చ నిశ్చిన్వన్తి తన్న బుధ్యమానా వ్యవస్థోపదేష్టారో భవితుమ్ ఇచ్ఛన్తి|

desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor whereof they confidently affirm.

8 సా వ్యవస్థా యది యోగ్యరూపేణ గృహ్యతే తర్హ్యుత్తమా భవతీతి వయం జానీమః|

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully,

9 అపరం సా వ్యవస్థా ధార్మ్మికస్య విరుద్ధా న భవతి కిన్త్వధార్మ్మికో ఽవాధ్యో దుష్టః పాపిష్ఠో ఽపవిత్రో ఽశుచిః పితృహన్తా మాతృహన్తా నరహన్తా

as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 వేశ్యాగామీ పుంమైథునీ మనుష్యవిక్రేతా మిథ్యావాదీ మిథ్యాశపథకారీ చ సర్వ్వేషామేతేషాం విరుద్ధా,

for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for menstealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

11 తథా సచ్చిదానన్దేశ్వరస్య యో విభవయుక్తః సుసంవాదో మయి సమర్పితస్తదనుయాయిహితోపదేశస్య విపరీతం యత్ కిఞ్చిద్ భవతి తద్విరుద్ధా సా వ్యవస్థేతి తద్గ్రాహిణా జ్ఞాతవ్యం|

according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

12 మహ్యం శక్తిదాతా యోఽస్మాకం ప్రభుః ఖ్రీష్టయీశుస్తమహం ధన్యం వదామి|

I thank him that enabled me, [even] Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he counted me faithful, appointing me to [his] service;

13 యతః పురా నిన్దక ఉపద్రావీ హింసకశ్చ భూత్వాప్యహం తేన విశ్వాస్యో ఽమన్యే పరిచారకత్వే న్యయుజ్యే చ| తద్ అవిశ్వాసాచరణమ్ అజ్ఞానేన మయా కృతమితి హేతోరహం తేనానుకమ్పితోఽభవం|

though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;

14 అపరం ఖ్రీష్టే యీశౌ విశ్వాసప్రేమభ్యాం సహితోఽస్మత్ప్రభోరనుగ్రహో ఽతీవ ప్రచురోఽభత్|

and the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

15 పాపినః పరిత్రాతుం ఖ్రీష్టో యీశు ర్జగతి సమవతీర్ణోఽభవత్, ఏషా కథా విశ్వాసనీయా సర్వ్వై గ్రహణీయా చ|

Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:

16 తేషాం పాపినాం మధ్యేఽహం ప్రథమ ఆసం కిన్తు యే మానవా అనన్తజీవనప్రాప్త్యర్థం తస్మిన్ విశ్వసిష్యన్తి తేషాం దృష్టాన్తే మయి ప్రథమే యీశునా ఖ్రీష్టేన స్వకీయా కృత్స్నా చిరసహిష్ణుతా యత్ ప్రకాశ్యతే తదర్థమేవాహమ్ అనుకమ్పాం ప్రాప్తవాన్| (aiōnios g166)

howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ shew forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them which should hereafter believe on him unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

17 అనాదిరక్షయోఽదృశ్యో రాజా యోఽద్వితీయః సర్వ్వజ్ఞ ఈశ్వరస్తస్య గౌరవం మహిమా చానన్తకాలం యావద్ భూయాత్| ఆమేన్| (aiōn g165)

Now unto the King eternal, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

18 హే పుత్ర తీమథియ త్వయి యాని భవిష్యద్వాక్యాని పురా కథితాని తదనుసారాద్ అహమ్ ఏనమాదేశం త్వయి సమర్పయామి, తస్యాభిప్రాయోఽయం యత్త్వం తై ర్వాక్యైరుత్తమయుద్ధం కరోషి

This charge I commit unto thee, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that by them thou mayest war the good warfare;

19 విశ్వాసం సత్సంవేదఞ్చ ధారయసి చ| అనయోః పరిత్యాగాత్ కేషాఞ్చిద్ విశ్వాసతరీ భగ్నాభవత్|

holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust from them made shipwreck concerning the faith:

20 హుమినాయసికన్దరౌ తేషాం యౌ ద్వౌ జనౌ, తౌ యద్ ధర్మ్మనిన్దాం పున ర్న కర్త్తుం శిక్షేతే తదర్థం మయా శయతానస్య కరే సమర్పితౌ|

of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered unto Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.
