1 యోహనః 3
1 పశ్యత వయమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య సన్తానా ఇతి నామ్నాఖ్యామహే, ఏతేన పితాస్మభ్యం కీదృక్ మహాప్రేమ ప్రదత్తవాన్, కిన్తు సంసారస్తం నాజానాత్ తత్కారణాదస్మాన్ అపి న జానాతి|
Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God: and [such] we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 హే ప్రియతమాః, ఇదానీం వయమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య సన్తానా ఆస్మహే పశ్చాత్ కిం భవిష్యామస్తద్ అద్యాప్యప్రకాశితం కిన్తు ప్రకాశం గతే వయం తస్య సదృశా భవిష్యామి ఇతి జానీమః, యతః స యాదృశో ఽస్తి తాదృశో ఽస్మాభిర్దర్శిష్యతే|
Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
3 తస్మిన్ ఏషా ప్రత్యాశా యస్య కస్యచిద్ భవతి స స్వం తథా పవిత్రం కరోతి యథా స పవిత్రో ఽస్తి|
And every one that hath this hope [set] on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 యః కశ్చిత్ పాపమ్ ఆచరతి స వ్యవస్థాలఙ్ఘనం కరోతి యతః పాపమేవ వ్యవస్థాలఙ్ఘనం|
Every one that doeth sin doeth also lawlessness: and sin is lawlessness.
5 అపరం సో ఽస్మాకం పాపాన్యపహర్త్తుం ప్రాకాశతైతద్ యూయం జానీథ, పాపఞ్చ తస్మిన్ న విద్యతే|
And ye know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin.
6 యః కశ్చిత్ తస్మిన్ తిష్ఠతి స పాపాచారం న కరోతి యః కశ్చిత్ పాపాచారం కరోతి స తం న దృష్టవాన్ న వావగతవాన్|
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither knoweth him.
7 హే ప్రియబాలకాః, కశ్చిద్ యుష్మాకం భ్రమం న జనయేత్, యః కశ్చిద్ ధర్మ్మాచారం కరోతి స తాదృగ్ ధార్మ్మికో భవతి యాదృక్ స ధామ్మికో ఽస్తి|
[My] little children, let no man lead you astray: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous:
8 యః పాపాచారం కరోతి స శయతానాత్ జాతో యతః శయతాన ఆదితః పాపాచారీ శయతానస్య కర్మ్మణాం లోపార్థమేవేశ్వరస్య పుత్రః ప్రాకాశత|
he that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 యః కశ్చిద్ ఈశ్వరాత్ జాతః స పాపాచారం న కరోతి యతస్తస్య వీర్య్యం తస్మిన్ తిష్ఠతి పాపాచారం కర్త్తుఞ్చ న శక్నోతి యతః స ఈశ్వరాత్ జాతః|
Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God.
10 ఇత్యనేనేశ్వరస్య సన్తానాః శయతానస్య చ సన్తానా వ్యక్తా భవన్తి| యః కశ్చిద్ ధర్మ్మాచారం న కరోతి స ఈశ్వరాత్ జాతో నహి యశ్చ స్వభ్రాతరి న ప్రీయతే సో ఽపీశ్వరాత్ జాతో నహి|
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11 యతస్తస్య య ఆదేశ ఆదితో యుష్మాభిః శ్రుతః స ఏష ఏవ యద్ అస్మాభిః పరస్పరం ప్రేమ కర్త్తవ్యం|
For this is the message which ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:
12 పాపాత్మతో జాతో యః కాబిల్ స్వభ్రాతరం హతవాన్ తత్సదృశైరస్మాభి ర్న భవితవ్యం| స కస్మాత్ కారణాత్ తం హతవాన్? తస్య కర్మ్మాణి దుష్టాని తద్భ్రాతుశ్చ కర్మ్మాణి ధర్మ్మాణ్యాసన్ ఇతి కారణాత్|
not as Cain was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
13 హే మమ భ్రాతరః, సంసారో యది యుష్మాన్ ద్వేష్టి తర్హి తద్ ఆశ్చర్య్యం న మన్యధ్వం|
Marvel not, brethren, if the world hateth you.
14 వయం మృత్యుమ్ ఉత్తీర్య్య జీవనం ప్రాప్తవన్తస్తద్ భ్రాతృషు ప్రేమకరణాత్ జానీమః| భ్రాతరి యో న ప్రీయతే స మృత్యౌ తిష్ఠతి|
We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.
15 యః కశ్చిత్ స్వభ్రాతరం ద్వేష్టి సం నరఘాతీ కిఞ్చానన్తజీవనం నరఘాతినః కస్యాప్యన్తరే నావతిష్ఠతే తద్ యూయం జానీథ| (aiōnios g166)
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)
16 అస్మాకం కృతే స స్వప్రాణాంస్త్యక్తవాన్ ఇత్యనేన వయం ప్రేమ్నస్తత్త్వమ్ అవగతాః, అపరం భ్రాతృణాం కృతే ఽస్మాభిరపి ప్రాణాస్త్యక్తవ్యాః|
Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 సాంసారికజీవికాప్రాప్తో యో జనః స్వభ్రాతరం దీనం దృష్ట్వా తస్మాత్ స్వీయదయాం రుణద్ధి తస్యాన్తర ఈశ్వరస్య ప్రేమ కథం తిష్ఠేత్?
But whoso hath the world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?
18 హే మమ ప్రియబాలకాః, వాక్యేన జిహ్వయా వాస్మాభిః ప్రేమ న కర్త్తవ్యం కిన్తు కార్య్యేణ సత్యతయా చైవ|
[My] little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth.
19 ఏతేన వయం యత్ సత్యమతసమ్బన్ధీయాస్తత్ జానీమస్తస్య సాక్షాత్ స్వాన్తఃకరణాని సాన్త్వయితుం శక్ష్యామశ్చ|
Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him,
20 యతో ఽస్మదన్తఃకరణం యద్యస్మాన్ దూషయతి తర్హ్యస్మదన్తః కరణాద్ ఈశ్వరో మహాన్ సర్వ్వజ్ఞశ్చ|
whereinsoever our heart condemn us; because God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 హే ప్రియతమాః, అస్మదన్తఃకరణం యద్యస్మాన్ న దూషయతి తర్హి వయమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య సాక్షాత్ ప్రతిభాన్వితా భవామః|
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have boldness toward God;
22 యచ్చ ప్రార్థయామహే తత్ తస్మాత్ ప్రాప్నుమః, యతో వయం తస్యాజ్ఞాః పాలయామస్తస్య సాక్షాత్ తుష్టిజనకమ్ ఆచారం కుర్మ్మశ్చ|
and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 అపరం తస్యేయమాజ్ఞా యద్ వయం పుత్రస్య యీశుఖ్రీష్టస్య నామ్ని విశ్వసిమస్తస్యాజ్ఞానుసారేణ చ పరస్పరం ప్రేమ కుర్మ్మః|
And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he gave us commandment.
24 యశ్చ తస్యాజ్ఞాః పాలయతి స తస్మిన్ తిష్ఠతి తస్మిన్ సోఽపి తిష్ఠతి; స చాస్మాన్ యమ్ ఆత్మానం దత్తవాన్ తస్మాత్ సో ఽస్మాసు తిష్ఠతీతి జానీమః|
And he that keepeth his commandments abideth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
