ரோமிண​: 8

1 யே ஜநா​: க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ யீஸு²ம் ஆஸ்²ரித்ய ஸா²ரீரிகம்’ நாசரந்த ஆத்மிகமாசரந்தி தே(அ)து⁴நா த³ண்டா³ர்ஹா ந ப⁴வந்தி|

Hence there is now, no, condemnation unto them who are in Christ Jesus;

2 ஜீவநதா³யகஸ்யாத்மநோ வ்யவஸ்தா² க்²ரீஷ்டயீஸு²நா பாபமரணயோ ர்வ்யவஸ்தா²தோ மாமமோசயத்|

For, the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, hath set thee free from the law of sin and of death; —

3 யஸ்மாச்சா²ரீரஸ்ய து³ர்ப்³ப³லத்வாத்³ வ்யவஸ்த²யா யத் கர்ம்மாஸாத்⁴யம் ஈஸ்²வரோ நிஜபுத்ரம்’ பாபிஸ²ரீரரூபம்’ பாபநாஸ²கப³லிரூபஞ்ச ப்ரேஷ்ய தஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரே பாபஸ்ய த³ண்ட³ம்’ குர்வ்வந் தத்கர்ம்ம ஸாதி⁴தவாந்|

For, what was impossible by the law in that it was weak through the flesh, God, by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

4 தத​: ஸா²ரீரிகம்’ நாசரித்வாஸ்மாபி⁴ராத்மிகம் ஆசரத்³பி⁴ர்வ்யவஸ்தா²க்³ரந்தே² நிர்த்³தி³ஷ்டாநி புண்யகர்ம்மாணி ஸர்வ்வாணி ஸாத்⁴யந்தே|

In order that, the righteous requirement of the law, might be fulfilled in us—who, not according to flesh, do walk, but according to spirit;

5 யே ஸா²ரீரிகாசாரிணஸ்தே ஸா²ரீரிகாந் விஷயாந் பா⁴வயந்தி யே சாத்மிகாசாரிணஸ்தே ஆத்மநோ விஷயாந் பா⁴வயந்தி|

For, they who according to flesh have their being, the things of the flesh do prefer, but, they according to the spirit, the things of the spirit;

6 ஸா²ரீரிகபா⁴வஸ்ய ப²லம்’ ம்ரு’த்யு​: கிஞ்சாத்மிகபா⁴வஸ்ய ப²லே ஜீவநம்’ ஸா²ந்திஸ்²ச|

For, what is preferred by the flesh, [is] death, whereas, what is preferred by the spirit, [is] life and peace; —

7 யத​: ஸா²ரீரிகபா⁴வ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய விருத்³த⁴​: ஸ²த்ருதாபா⁴வ ஏவ ஸ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய வ்யவஸ்தா²யா அதீ⁴நோ ந ப⁴வதி ப⁴விதுஞ்ச ந ஸ²க்நோதி|

Inasmuch as, what is preferred by the flesh, [is] hostile towards God, for, unto the law of God, it doth not submit itself, neither in fact can it.—

8 ஏதஸ்மாத் ஸா²ரீரிகாசாரிஷு தோஷ்டும் ஈஸ்²வரேண ந ஸ²க்யம்’|

They, moreover, who in flesh have their being, cannot please, God.

9 கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்யாத்மா யதி³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே வஸதி தர்ஹி யூயம்’ ஸா²ரீரிகாசாரிணோ ந ஸந்த ஆத்மிகாசாரிணோ ப⁴வத²​: | யஸ்மிந் து க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்யாத்மா ந வித்³யதே ஸ தத்ஸம்ப⁴வோ நஹி|

But, ye, have not your being in flesh, but in spirit, —if at least, God’s Spirit, dwelleth in you; and, if anyone hath not Christ’s Spirit, the same, is not his; —

10 யதி³ க்²ரீஷ்டோ யுஷ்மாந் அதி⁴திஷ்ட²தி தர்ஹி பாபம் உத்³தி³ஸ்²ய ஸ²ரீரம்’ ம்ரு’தம்’ கிந்து புண்யமுத்³தி³ஸ்²யாத்மா ஜீவதி|

But, if Christ is in you, the body, indeed, is dead by reason of sin, whereas, the spirit, is life by reason of righteousness;

11 ம்ரு’தக³ணாத்³ யீஸு² ர்யேநோத்தா²பிதஸ்தஸ்யாத்மா யதி³ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே வஸதி தர்ஹி ம்ரு’தக³ணாத் க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸ உத்தா²பயிதா யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யவாஸிநா ஸ்வகீயாத்மநா யுஷ்மாகம்’ ம்ரு’ததே³ஹாநபி புந ர்ஜீவயிஷ்யதி|

If, moreover, the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from among the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised from among the dead Christ Jesus, shall make alive [even] your death-doomed bodies, through means of his indwelling Spirit within you.

12 ஹே ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ண ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய வயமத⁴மர்ணா ந ப⁴வாமோ(அ)த​: ஸா²ரீரிகாசாரோ(அ)ஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்ந கர்த்தவ்ய​: |

Hence, then, brethren—debtors, we are, not unto the flesh, that, according to flesh, we should live, —

13 யதி³ யூயம்’ ஸ²ரீரிகாசாரிணோ ப⁴வேத தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்மர்த்தவ்யமேவ கிந்த்வாத்மநா யதி³ ஸ²ரீரகர்ம்மாணி கா⁴தயேத தர்ஹி ஜீவிஷ்யத²|

For, if according to flesh ye live, ye are about to die, whereas, if in spirit, the practices of the flesh, ye are putting to death, ye shall attain unto life;

14 யதோ யாவந்தோ லோகா ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாத்மநாக்ரு’ஷ்யந்தே தே ஸர்வ்வ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்தாநா ப⁴வந்தி|

For, as many as by God’s Spirit are being led, the same, are God’s sons, —

15 யூயம்’ புநரபி ப⁴யஜநகம்’ தா³ஸ்யபா⁴வம்’ ந ப்ராப்தா​: கிந்து யேந பா⁴வேநேஸ்²வரம்’ பித​: பிதரிதி ப்ரோச்ய ஸம்போ³த⁴யத² தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ த³த்தகபுத்ரத்வபா⁴வம் ப்ராப்நுத|

For ye have not received a spirit of servitude, leading back into fear, but ye have received a spirit of sonship, whereby we are exclaiming—Abba! Oh Father!

16 அபரஞ்ச வயம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்தாநா ஏதஸ்மிந் பவித்ர ஆத்மா ஸ்வயம் அஸ்மாகம் ஆத்மாபி⁴​: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ப்ரமாணம்’ த³தா³தி|

The Spirit itself, beareth witness together with our spirit that we are children of God;

17 அதஏவ வயம்’ யதி³ ஸந்தாநாஸ்தர்ஹ்யதி⁴காரிண​: , அர்தா²த்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸ்வத்த்வாதி⁴காரிண​: க்²ரீஷ்டேந ஸஹாதி⁴காரிணஸ்²ச ப⁴வாம​: ; அபரம்’ தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யதி³ து³​: க²பா⁴கி³நோ ப⁴வாமஸ்தர்ஹி தஸ்ய விப⁴வஸ்யாபி பா⁴கி³நோ ப⁴விஷ்யாம​: |

And, if children, heirs also—heirs, indeed, of God, but co-heirs with Christ, —if, at least, we are suffering together, in order that we may also be glorified together.

18 கிந்த்வஸ்மாஸு யோ பா⁴வீவிப⁴வ​: ப்ரகாஸி²ஷ்யதே தஸ்ய ஸமீபே வர்த்தமாநகாலீநம்’ து³​: க²மஹம்’ த்ரு’ணாய மந்யே|

For I reckon that unworthy are the sufferings of the present season to be compared with the glory about to be revealed towards us;

19 யத​: ப்ராணிக³ண ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்தாநாநாம்’ விப⁴வப்ராப்திம் ஆகாங்க்ஷந் நிதாந்தம் அபேக்ஷதே|

For, the eager outlook of creation, ardently awaiteth the revealing of the sons of God, —

20 அபரஞ்ச ப்ராணிக³ண​: ஸ்வைரம் அலீகதாயா வஸீ²க்ரு’தோ நாப⁴வத்

For, unto vanity, hath creation been made subject—not by choice, but by reason of him that made it subject, in hope

21 கிந்து ப்ராணிக³ணோ(அ)பி நஸ்²வரதாதீ⁴நத்வாத் முக்த​: ஸந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்தாநாநாம்’ பரமமுக்திம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யதீத்யபி⁴ப்ராயேண வஸீ²கர்த்ரா வஸீ²சக்ரே|

That, creation itself also, shall be freed—from the bondage of the decay into the freedom of the glory of the sons of God;

22 அபரஞ்ச ப்ரஸூயமாநாவத்³ வ்யதி²த​: ஸந் இதா³நீம்’ யாவத் க்ரு’த்ஸ்ந​: ப்ராணிக³ண ஆர்த்தஸ்வரம்’ கரோதீதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம​: |

For we know that, all creation, is sighing together, and travailing-in-birth-throes together until the present, —

23 கேவல​: ஸ இதி நஹி கிந்து ப்ரத²மஜாதப²லஸ்வரூபம் ஆத்மாநம்’ ப்ராப்தா வயமபி த³த்தகபுத்ரத்வபத³ப்ராப்திம் அர்தா²த் ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய முக்திம்’ ப்ரதீக்ஷமாணாஸ்தத்³வத்³ அந்தரார்த்தராவம்’ குர்ம்ம​: |

And, not only so, but, we ourselves, also, who have the first-fruit of the Spirit—[we] even ourselves, within our own selves do sigh, —sonship ardently awaiting—the redeeming of our body; —

24 வயம்’ ப்ரத்யாஸ²யா த்ராணம் அலபா⁴மஹி கிந்து ப்ரத்யக்ஷவஸ்துநோ யா ப்ரத்யாஸா² ஸா ப்ரத்யாஸா² நஹி, யதோ மநுஷ்யோ யத் ஸமீக்ஷதே தஸ்ய ப்ரத்யாஸா²ம்’ குத​: கரிஷ்யதி?

For, by our hope, have we been saved, —but, hope beheld, is not hope, for, what one beholdeth, why doth he hope for?

25 யத்³ அப்ரத்யக்ஷம்’ தஸ்ய ப்ரத்யாஸா²ம்’ யதி³ வயம்’ குர்வ்வீமஹி தர்ஹி தை⁴ர்ய்யம் அவலம்ப்³ய ப்ரதீக்ஷாமஹே|

If, however, what we do not behold we hope for, with endurance, are we ardently awaiting [it]; —

26 தத ஆத்மாபி ஸ்வயம் அஸ்மாகம்’ து³ர்ப்³ப³லதாயா​: ஸஹாயத்வம்’ கரோதி; யத​: கிம்’ ப்ரார்தி²தவ்யம்’ தத்³ போ³த்³து⁴ம்’ வயம்’ ந ஸ²க்நும​: , கிந்த்வஸ்பஷ்டைரார்த்தராவைராத்மா ஸ்வயம் அஸ்மந்நிமித்தம்’ நிவேத³யதி|

In the selfsame way moreover, even the Spirit, helpeth together in our weakness, —for, what we should pray for as we ought, we know not, but, the Spirit itself, maketh intercession with sighings unutterable,

27 அபரம் ஈஸ்²வராபி⁴மதரூபேண பவித்ரலோகாநாம்’ க்ரு’தே நிவேத³யதி ய ஆத்மா தஸ்யாபி⁴ப்ராயோ(அ)ந்தர்ய்யாமிநா ஜ்ஞாயதே|

And, he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what is preferred by the Spirit—that, according to God, he maketh intercession in behalf of saints;

28 அபரம் ஈஸ்²வரீயநிரூபணாநுஸாரேணாஹூதா​: ஸந்தோ யே தஸ்மிந் ப்ரீயந்தே ஸர்வ்வாணி மிலித்வா தேஷாம்’ மங்க³லம்’ ஸாத⁴யந்தி, ஏதத்³ வயம்’ ஜாநீம​: |

We know, further, that, unto them who love God, God causeth all things to work together for good, —unto them who, according to purpose, are such as he hath called;

29 யத ஈஸ்²வரோ ப³ஹுப்⁴ராத்ரு’ணாம்’ மத்⁴யே ஸ்வபுத்ரம்’ ஜ்யேஷ்ட²ம்’ கர்த்தும் இச்ச²ந் யாந் பூர்வ்வம்’ லக்ஷ்யீக்ரு’தவாந் தாந் தஸ்ய ப்ரதிமூர்த்யா​: ஸாத்³ரு’ஸ்²யப்ராப்த்யர்த²ம்’ ந்யயும்’க்த|

For, whom he fore-approved, he also fore-appointed to be conformed unto the image of his Son, that he might be firstborn among many brethren, —

30 அபரஞ்ச தேந யே நியுக்தாஸ்த ஆஹூதா அபி யே ச தேநாஹூதாஸ்தே ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தா​: , யே ச தேந ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தாஸ்தே விப⁴வயுக்தா​: |

And, whom he fore-appointed, the same, he also called, and, whom he called, the same, he also declared righteous, and, whom he declared righteous, the same, he also made glorious: —

31 இத்யத்ர வயம்’ கிம்’ ப்³ரூம​: ? ஈஸ்²வரோ யத்³யஸ்மாகம்’ ஸபக்ஷோ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி கோ விபக்ஷோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’?

What, then, shall we say to a these things? If God [is] for us, who [shall be] against us?

32 ஆத்மபுத்ரம்’ ந ரக்ஷித்வா யோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ க்ரு’தே தம்’ ப்ரத³த்தவாந் ஸ கிம்’ தேந ஸஹாஸ்மப்⁴யம் அந்யாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி ந தா³ஸ்யதி?

He, at least, who his own Son did not spare, but in behalf of us all delivered him up, how shall he not also, with him, all things upon us in favour bestow?

33 ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாபி⁴ருசிதேஷு கேந தோ³ஷ ஆரோபயிஷ்யதே? ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தாந் புண்யவத இவ க³ணயதி கிம்’ தேந?

Who shall bring an accusation against the chosen ones of God? God, who declareth righteous?

34 அபரம்’ தேப்⁴யோ த³ண்ட³தா³நாஜ்ஞா வா கேந கரிஷ்யதே? யோ(அ)ஸ்மந்நிமித்தம்’ ப்ராணாந் த்யக்தவாந் கேவலம்’ தந்ந கிந்து ம்ரு’தக³ணமத்⁴யாத்³ உத்தி²தவாந், அபி சேஸ்²வரஸ்ய த³க்ஷிணே பார்ஸ்²வே திஷ்ட²ந் அத்³யாப்யஸ்மாகம்’ நிமித்தம்’ ப்ரார்த²த ஏவம்பூ⁴தோ ய​: க்²ரீஷ்ட​: கிம்’ தேந?

Who is he that condemneth? Christ [Jesus] who died?—Nay! rather was raised [from among the dead], —who is on the right hand of God, who also is making intercession in our behalf?

35 அஸ்மாபி⁴​: ஸஹ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ப்ரேமவிச்சே²த³ம்’ ஜநயிதும்’ க​: ஸ²க்நோதி? க்லேஸோ² வ்யஸநம்’ வா தாட³நா வா து³ர்பி⁴க்ஷம்’ வா வஸ்த்ரஹீநத்வம்’ வா ப்ராணஸம்’ஸ²யோ வா க²ங்கோ³ வா கிமேதாநி ஸ²க்நுவந்தி?

Who shall separate us from the love of the Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?—

36 கிந்து லிகி²தம் ஆஸ்தே, யதா², வயம்’ தவ நிமித்தம்’ ஸ்மோ ம்ரு’த்யுவக்த்ரே(அ)கி²லம்’ தி³நம்’| ப³லிர்தே³யோ யதா² மேஷோ வயம்’ க³ண்யாமஹே ததா²|

According as it is written—For thy sake, are we being put to death all the day long, we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter.—

37 அபரம்’ யோ(அ)ஸ்மாஸு ப்ரீயதே தேநைதாஸு விபத்ஸு வயம்’ ஸம்யக்³ விஜயாமஹே|

Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquering through him that hath loved us.

38 யதோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴நா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய யத் ப்ரேம தஸ்மாத்³ அஸ்மாகம்’ விச்சே²த³ம்’ ஜநயிதும்’ ம்ரு’த்யு ர்ஜீவநம்’ வா தி³வ்யதூ³தா வா ப³லவந்தோ முக்²யதூ³தா வா வர்த்தமாநோ வா ப⁴விஷ்யந் காலோ வா உச்சபத³ம்’ வா நீசபத³ம்’ வாபரம்’ கிமபி ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டவஸ்து

For I am persuaded that—neither death nor life, nor messengers nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,

39 வைதேஷாம்’ கேநாபி ந ஸ²க்யமித்யஸ்மிந் த்³ரு’ட⁴விஸ்²வாஸோ மமாஸ்தே|

Nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
