ப்ரகாஸி²தம்’ 12
1 தத: பரம்’ ஸ்வர்கே³ மஹாசித்ரம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டம்’ யோஷிதே³காஸீத் ஸா பரிஹிதஸூர்ய்யா சந்த்³ரஸ்²ச தஸ்யாஸ்²சரணயோரதோ⁴ த்³வாத³ஸ²தாராணாம்’ கிரீடஞ்ச ஸி²ரஸ்யாஸீத்|
And, a great sign, appeared in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and, the moon, beneath her feet, and, upon her head, a crown of twelve stars;
2 ஸா க³ர்ப⁴வதீ ஸதீ ப்ரஸவவேத³நயா வ்யதி²தார்த்தராவம் அகரோத்|
and she was with child, and crieth out, being in pangs and in anguish to bring forth?
3 தத: ஸ்வர்கே³ (அ)பரம் ஏகம்’ சித்ரம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டம்’ மஹாநாக³ ஏக உபாதிஷ்ட²த் ஸ லோஹிதவர்ணஸ்தஸ்ய ஸப்த ஸி²ராம்’ஸி ஸப்த ஸ்²ரு’ங்கா³ணி ஸி²ர: ஸு ச ஸப்த கிரீடாந்யாஸந்|
And there appeared another sign in heaven; and lo! a great red dragon, —having seven heads and ten horns, and, upon his heads, seven diadems;
4 ஸ ஸ்வலாங்கூ³லேந க³க³நஸ்த²நக்ஷத்ராணாம்’ த்ரு’தீயாம்’ஸ²ம் அவம்ரு’ஜ்ய ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம்’ ந்யபாதயத்| ஸ ஏவ நாகோ³ நவஜாதம்’ ஸந்தாநம்’ க்³ரஸிதும் உத்³யதஸ்தஸ்யா: ப்ரஸவிஷ்யமாணாயா யோஷிதோ (அ)ந்திகே (அ)திஷ்ட²த்|
and, his tail, draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. And, the dragon, stood before the woman who was about to bring forth, that, as soon as she should bring forth, he might devour, her child.
5 ஸா து பும்’ஸந்தாநம்’ ப்ரஸூதா ஸ ஏவ லௌஹமயராஜத³ண்டே³ந ஸர்வ்வஜாதீஸ்²சாரயிஷ்யதி, கிஞ்ச தஸ்யா: ஸந்தாந ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ ததீ³யஸிம்’ஹாஸநஸ்ய ச ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் உத்³த்⁴ரு’த: |
And she brought forth a son, a manchild, who was about to shepherd all the nations with a sceptre of iron; and her child was caught away unto God and unto his throne.
6 ஸா ச யோஷித் ப்ராந்தரம்’ பலாயிதா யதஸ்தத்ரேஸ்²வரேண நிர்ம்மித ஆஸ்²ரமே ஷஷ்ட்²யதி⁴கஸ²தத்³வயாதி⁴கஸஹஸ்ரதி³நாநி தஸ்யா: பாலநேந ப⁴விதவ்யம்’|
And, the woman, fled into the desert, where she hath a place prepared of God, that, there, they should nourish her a thousand, two hundred, and sixty days.
7 தத: பரம்’ ஸ்வர்கே³ ஸம்’க்³ராம உபாபிஷ்ட²த் மீகா²யேலஸ்தஸ்ய தூ³தாஸ்²ச தேந நாகே³ந ஸஹாயுத்⁴யந் ததா² ஸ நாக³ஸ்தஸ்ய தூ³தாஸ்²ச ஸம்’க்³ராமம் அகுர்வ்வந், கிந்து ப்ரப⁴விதும்’ நாஸ²க்நுவந்
And there came to be war in heaven: Michael and his messengers [going forth] to war with the dragon; and, the dragon, fought, and his messengers;
8 யத: ஸ்வர்கே³ தேஷாம்’ ஸ்தா²நம்’ புந ர்நாவித்³யத|
and he prevailed not, neither was place found for them, any longer, in heaven.
9 அபரம்’ ஸ மஹாநாகோ³ (அ)ர்த²தோ தி³யாவல: (அபவாத³க: ) ஸ²யதாநஸ்²ச (விபக்ஷ: ) இதி நாம்நா விக்²யாதோ ய: புராதந: ஸர்ப: க்ரு’த்ஸ்நம்’ நரலோகம்’ ப்⁴ராமயதி ஸ ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம்’ நிபாதிதஸ்தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ தஸ்ய தூ³தா அபி தத்ர நிபாதிதா: |
And the great dragon was cast out, —the ancient serpent, he that is called Adversary and the Satan, that deceiveth the whole habitable world, —he was cast to the earth, and his messengers, with him, were cast.
10 தத: பரம்’ ஸ்வர்கே³ உச்சை ர்பா⁴ஷமாணோ ரவோ (அ)யம்’ மயாஸ்²ராவி, த்ராணம்’ ஸ²க்திஸ்²ச ராஜத்வமது⁴நைவேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ந: | ததா² தேநாபி⁴ஷிக்தஸ்ய த்ராது: பராக்ரமோ (அ)ப⁴வத்ம்’|| யதோ நிபாதிதோ (அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ணாம்’ ஸோ (அ)பி⁴யோஜக: | யேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ந: ஸாக்ஷாத் தே (அ)தூ³ஷ்யந்த தி³வாநிஸ²ம்’||
And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying—Now, hath come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; because the accuser of our brethren hath been cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night;
11 மேஷவத்ஸஸ்ய ரக்தேந ஸ்வஸாக்ஷ்யவசநேந ச| தே து நிர்ஜிதவந்தஸ்தம்’ ந ச ஸ்நேஹம் அகுர்வ்வத| ப்ராணோஷ்வபி ஸ்வகீயேஷு மரணஸ்யைவ ஸங்கடே|
And, they, overcame him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of their witnessing word, and they loved not their life, even unto death.
12 தஸ்மாத்³ ஆநந்த³து ஸ்வர்கோ³ ஹ்ரு’ஷ்யந்தாம்’ தந்நிவாமிந: | ஹா பூ⁴மிஸாக³ரௌ தாபோ யுவாமேவாக்ரமிஷ்யதி| யுவயோரவதீர்ணோ யத் ஸை²தாநோ (அ)தீவ காபந: | அல்போ மே ஸமயோ (அ)ஸ்த்யேதச்சாபி தேநாவக³ம்யதே||
For this cause, be joyful, O heavens, and ye who, therein, are tabernacling. Woe! unto the earth, and the sea, because the Adversary hath come down unto you, having great wrath—knowing that, but a little season, he hath.
13 அநந்தரம்’ ஸ நாக³: ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம்’ ஸ்வம்’ நிக்ஷிப்தம்’ விலோக்ய தாம்’ புத்ரப்ரஸூதாம்’ யோஷிதம் உபாத்³ரவத்|
And, when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he pursued the woman who had brought forth the manchild.
14 தத: ஸா யோஷித் யத் ஸ்வகீயம்’ ப்ராந்தரஸ்தா²ஸ்²ரமம்’ ப்ரத்யுத்பதிதும்’ ஸ²க்நுயாத் தத³ர்த²ம்’ மஹாகுரரஸ்ய பக்ஷத்³வயம்’ தஸ்வை த³த்தம்’, ஸா து தத்ர நாக³தோ தூ³ரே காலைகம்’ காலத்³வயம்’ காலார்த்³த⁴ஞ்ச யாவத் பால்யதே|
And there were given unto the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, into her place, —where she is nourished, a season and seasons and half a season, from the face of the serpent.
15 கிஞ்ச ஸ நாக³ஸ்தாம்’ யோஷிதம்’ ஸ்ரோதஸா ப்லாவயிதும்’ ஸ்வமுகா²த் நதீ³வத் தோயாநி தஸ்யா: பஸ்²சாத் ப்ராக்ஷிபத்|
And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
16 கிந்து மேதி³நீ யோஷிதம் உபகுர்வ்வதீ நிஜவத³நம்’ வ்யாதா³ய நாக³முகா²த்³ உத்³கீ³ர்ணாம்’ நதீ³ம் அபிவத்|
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 ததோ நாகோ³ யோஷிதே க்ருத்³த்⁴வா தத்³வம்’ஸ²ஸ்யாவஸி²ஷ்டலோகைரர்த²தோ ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாஜ்ஞா: பாலயந்தி யீஸோ²: ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ தா⁴ரயந்தி ச தை: ஸஹ யோத்³து⁴ம்’ நிர்க³தவாந்|
And the dragon was angered against the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed—with them who were keeping the commandments of God, and holding the witness of Jesus; —and he stood upon the sand of the sea.
