யோஹந: 15
1 அஹம்’ ஸத்யத்³ராக்ஷாலதாஸ்வரூபோ மம பிதா தூத்³யாநபரிசாரகஸ்வரூபஞ்ச|
I am the true vyne and my father ys an husbande man.
2 மம யாஸு ஸா²கா²ஸு ப²லாநி ந ப⁴வந்தி தா: ஸ சி²நத்தி ததா² ப²லவத்ய: ஸா²கா² யதா²தி⁴கப²லாநி ப²லந்தி தத³ர்த²ம்’ தா: பரிஷ்கரோதி|
Every braunche that beareth not frute in me he will take awaye. And every braunche that beareth frute will he pourge yt it maye bringe moare frute.
3 இதா³நீம்’ மயோக்தோபதே³ஸே²ந யூயம்’ பரிஷ்க்ரு’தா: |
Now are ye cleane thorow ye wordes which I have spoke vnto you.
4 அத: காரணாத் மயி திஷ்ட²த தேநாஹமபி யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்டா²மி, யதோ ஹேதோ ர்த்³ராக்ஷாலதாயாம் அஸம்’லக்³நா ஸா²கா² யதா² ப²லவதீ ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி ததா² யூயமபி மய்யதிஷ்ட²ந்த: ப²லவந்தோ ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுத²|
Byde in me and let me byde in you. As ye braunche canot beare frute of it sylfe excepte it byde in the vyne: no more can ye excepte ye abyde in me.
5 அஹம்’ த்³ராக்ஷாலதாஸ்வரூபோ யூயஞ்ச ஸா²கா²ஸ்வரூபோ: ; யோ ஜநோ மயி திஷ்ட²தி யத்ர சாஹம்’ திஷ்டா²மி, ஸ ப்ரசூரப²லை: ப²லவாந் ப⁴வதி, கிந்து மாம்’ விநா யூயம்’ கிமபி கர்த்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுத²|
I am the vyne and ye are the braunches. He that abydeth in me and I in him the same bringeth forth moche frute. For with out me can ye do nothinge.
6 ய: கஸ்²சிந் மயி ந திஷ்ட²தி ஸ ஸு²ஷ்கஸா²கே²வ ப³ஹி ர்நிக்ஷிப்யதே லோகாஸ்²ச தா ஆஹ்ரு’த்ய வஹ்நௌ நிக்ஷிப்ய தா³ஹயந்தி|
Yf a man byde not in me he ys cast forthe as a braunche and is wyddered: and men gadder it and cast it into the fyre and it burneth.
7 யதி³ யூயம்’ மயி திஷ்ட²த² மம கதா² ச யுஷ்மாஸு திஷ்ட²தி தர்ஹி யத்³ வாஞ்சி²த்வா யாசிஷ்யத்⁴வே யுஷ்மாகம்’ ததே³வ ஸப²லம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
Yf ye byde in me and my wordes also byde in you: axe what ye will and it shalbe done to you.
8 யதி³ யூயம்’ ப்ரசூரப²லவந்தோ ப⁴வத² தர்ஹி தத்³வாரா மம பிது ர்மஹிமா ப்ரகாஸி²ஷ்யதே ததா² யூயம்’ மம ஸி²ஷ்யா இதி பரிக்ஷாயிஷ்யத்⁴வே|
Heare in is my father glorified that ye beare moche frute and be made my disciples.
9 பிதா யதா² மயி ப்ரீதவாந் அஹமபி யுஷ்மாஸு ததா² ப்ரீதவாந் அதோ ஹேதோ ர்யூயம்’ நிரந்தரம்’ மம ப்ரேமபாத்ராணி பூ⁴த்வா திஷ்ட²த|
As the father hath loved me eve so have I leved you. Continue in my love.
10 அஹம்’ யதா² பிதுராஜ்ஞா க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தஸ்ய ப்ரேமபா⁴ஜநம்’ திஷ்டா²மி ததை²வ யூயமபி யதி³ மமாஜ்ஞா கு³ஹ்லீத² தர்ஹி மம ப்ரேமபா⁴ஜநாநி ஸ்தா²ஸ்யத²|
Yf ye shall kepe my comaudemetes ye shall byde in my love eve as I have kept my fathers comaundementes and byde in his love.
11 யுஷ்மந்நிமித்தம்’ மம ய ஆஹ்லாத³: ஸ யதா² சிரம்’ திஷ்ட²தி யுஷ்மாகம் ஆநந்த³ஸ்²ச யதா² பூர்ய்யதே தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம் ஏதா: கதா² அத்ரகத²ம்|
These thinges have I spoken vnto you yt my ioye myght remayne in you and that youre ioye might be full.
12 அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாஸு யதா² ப்ரீயே யூயமபி பரஸ்பரம்’ ததா² ப்ரீயத்⁴வம் ஏஷா மமாஜ்ஞா|
This is my commaundement that ye love togedder as I have loved you.
13 மித்ராணாம்’ காரணாத் ஸ்வப்ராணதா³நபர்ய்யந்தம்’ யத் ப்ரேம தஸ்மாந் மஹாப்ரேம கஸ்யாபி நாஸ்தி|
Gretter love then this hath no man then that a man bestowe his lyfe for his frendes.
14 அஹம்’ யத்³யத்³ ஆதி³ஸா²மி தத்ததே³வ யதி³ யூயம் ஆசரத தர்ஹி யூயமேவ மம மித்ராணி|
Ye are my fredes yf ye do whatsoever I commaunde you.
15 அத்³யாரப்⁴ய யுஷ்மாந் தா³ஸாந் ந வதி³ஷ்யாமி யத் ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யத் கரோதி தா³ஸஸ்தத்³ ந ஜாநாதி; கிந்து பிது: ஸமீபே யத்³யத்³ அஸ்²ரு’ணவம்’ தத் ஸர்வ்வம்’ யூஷ்மாந் அஜ்ஞாபயம் தத்காரணாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் மித்ராணி ப்ரோக்தவாந்|
Hence forth call I you not servauntes: for the servaunt knoweth not what his Lorde doeth. But you have I called frendes: for all thinges that I have hearde of my father I have opened to you.
16 யூயம்’ மாம்’ ரோசிதவந்த இதி ந, கிந்த்வஹமேவ யுஷ்மாந் ரோசிதவாந் யூயம்’ க³த்வா யதா² ப²லாந்யுத்பாத³யத² தாநி ப²லாநி சாக்ஷயாணி ப⁴வந்தி, தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ந்யஜுநஜம்’ தஸ்மாந் மம நாம ப்ரோச்ய பிதரம்’ யத் கிஞ்சித்³ யாசிஷ்யத்⁴வே ததே³வ ஸ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ தா³ஸ்யதி|
Ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordeyned you that ye go and bringe forthe frute and that youre frute remayne that whatsoever ye shall axe of the father in my name he shulde geve it you.
17 யூயம்’ பரஸ்பரம்’ ப்ரீயத்⁴வம் அஹம் இத்யாஜ்ஞாபயாமி|
This comaunde I you that ye love to gedder.
18 ஜக³தோ லோகை ர்யுஷ்மாஸு ரு’தீயிதேஷு தே பூர்வ்வம்’ மாமேவார்த்தீயந்த இதி யூயம்’ ஜாநீத²|
Yf ye worlde hate you ye knowe that he hated me before he hated you.
19 யதி³ யூயம்’ ஜக³தோ லோகா அப⁴விஷ்யத தர்ஹி ஜக³தோ லோகா யுஷ்மாந் ஆத்மீயாந் பு³த்³த்⁴வாப்ரேஷ்யந்த; கிந்து யூயம்’ ஜக³தோ லோகா ந ப⁴வத², அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் அஸ்மாஜ்ஜக³தோ(அ)ரோசயம் ஏதஸ்மாத் காரணாஜ்ஜக³தோ லோகா யுஷ்மாந் ரு’தீயந்தே|
Yf ye were of the worlde ye worlde wolde love his awne. How be it because ye are not of ye worlde but I have chosen you out of the worlde therfore hateth you the worlde.
20 தா³ஸ: ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்மஹாந் ந ப⁴வதி மமைதத் பூர்வ்வீயம்’ வாக்யம்’ ஸ்மரத; தே யதி³ மாமேவாதாட³யந் தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாநபி தாட³யிஷ்யந்தி, யதி³ மம வாக்யம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந்தி தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாகமபி வாக்யம்’ க்³ரஹீஷ்யந்தி|
Remember the sayinge that I sayde vnto you: the servaute is not greater then his lorde. Yf they have persecuted me so will they persecute you Yf they have kept my sayinge so will they kepe youres.
21 கிந்து தே மம நாமகாரணாத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வ்யவஹரிஷ்யந்தி யதோ யோ மாம்’ ப்ரேரிதவாந் தம்’ தே ந ஜாநந்தி|
But all these thinges will they do vnto you for my names sake because they have not knowen him that sent me.
22 தேஷாம்’ ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் ஆக³த்ய யத்³யஹம்’ நாகத²யிஷ்யம்’ தர்ஹி தேஷாம்’ பாபம்’ நாப⁴விஷ்யத் கிந்த்வது⁴நா தேஷாம்’ பாபமாச்சா²த³யிதும் உபாயோ நாஸ்தி|
If I had not come and spoken vnto them they shulde not have had synne: but now have they nothinge to cloke their synne with all.
23 யோ ஜநோ மாம் ரு’தீயதே ஸ மம பிதரமபி ரு’தீயதே|
He that hateth me hateth my father.
24 யாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி கர்ம்மாணி கேநாபி கதா³பி நாக்ரியந்த தாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி கர்ம்மாணி யதி³ தேஷாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்³ அஹம்’ நாகரிஷ்யம்’ தர்ஹி தேஷாம்’ பாபம்’ நாப⁴விஷ்யத் கிந்த்வது⁴நா தே த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வாபி மாம்’ மம பிதரஞ்சார்த்தீயந்த|
If I had not done workes amoge the which none other ma dyd they had not had synne. But now have they sene and yet have hated bothe me and my father:
25 தஸ்மாத் தே(அ)காரணம்’ மாம் ரு’தீயந்தே யதே³தத்³ வசநம்’ தேஷாம்’ ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே லிகி²தமாஸ்தே தத் ஸப²லம் அப⁴வத்|
eve that the sayinge myght be fulfilled that is written in theyr lawe: they hated me wtout a cause.
26 கிந்து பிது ர்நிர்க³தம்’ யம்’ ஸஹாயமர்தா²த் ஸத்யமயம் ஆத்மாநம்’ பிது: ஸமீபாத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே ப்ரேஷயிஷ்யாமி ஸ ஆக³த்ய மயி ப்ரமாணம்’ தா³ஸ்யதி|
But when the comforter is come whom I will sende vnto you fro the father which is the sprete of truthe which proceadeth of the father he shall testifie of me.
27 யூயம்’ ப்ரத²மமாரப்⁴ய மயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ திஷ்ட²த² தஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோ ர்யூயமபி ப்ரமாணம்’ தா³ஸ்யத²|
And ye shall beare witnes also because ye have bene with me from the begynninge.
