ப்ரேரிதா​: 16

1 பௌலோ த³ர்ப்³பீ³லுஸ்த்ராநக³ரயோருபஸ்தி²தோப⁴வத் தத்ர தீமதி²யநாமா ஸி²ஷ்ய ஏக ஆஸீத்; ஸ விஸ்²வாஸிந்யா யிஹூதீ³யாயா யோஷிதோ க³ர்ப்³ப⁴ஜாத​: கிந்து தஸ்ய பிதாந்யதே³ஸீ²யலோக​: |

And he came even unto Derbe, and unto Lystra; and lo! a certain disciple, was there, by name Timothy, son of a believing Jewish woman, but whose father was a Greek, —

2 ஸ ஜநோ லுஸ்த்ரா-இகநியநக³ரஸ்தா²நாம்’ ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ணாம்’ ஸமீபேபி ஸுக்²யாதிமாந் ஆஸீத்|

who was well-attested by the brethren in Lystra, and Iconium.

3 பௌலஸ்தம்’ ஸ்வஸங்கி³நம்’ கர்த்தும்’ மதிம்’ க்ரு’த்வா தம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தத்³தே³ஸ²நிவாஸிநாம்’ யிஹூதீ³யாநாம் அநுரோதா⁴த் தஸ்ய த்வக்சே²த³ம்’ க்ரு’தவாந் யதஸ்தஸ்ய பிதா பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யலோக இதி ஸர்வ்வைரஜ்ஞாயத|

The same, would Paul have go forth with him, and took and circumcised him, on account of the Jews who were in those places; for they one and all knew that, his father, was, a Greek.

4 தத​: பரம்’ தே நக³ரே நக³ரே ப்⁴ரமித்வா யிரூஸா²லமஸ்தை²​: ப்ரேரிதை ர்லோகப்ராசீநைஸ்²ச நிரூபிதம்’ யத்³ வ்யவஸ்தா²பத்ரம்’ தத³நுஸாரேணாசரிதும்’ லோகேப்⁴யஸ்தத்³ த³த்தவந்த​: |

And, as they passed through the cities, they were delivering unto them, for observance, the decrees which had been decided upon by the Apostles and Elders who were in Jerusalem.

5 தேநைவ ஸர்வ்வே த⁴ர்ம்மஸமாஜா​: க்²ரீஷ்டத⁴ர்ம்மே ஸுஸ்தி²ரா​: ஸந்த​: ப்ரதிதி³நம்’ வர்த்³தி⁴தா அப⁴வந்|

The assemblies, therefore, were being confirmed in the faith, and increasing in number, every day.

6 தேஷு ப்²ருகி³யாகா³லாதியாதே³ஸ²மத்⁴யேந க³தேஷு ஸத்ஸு பவித்ர ஆத்மா தாந் ஆஸி²யாதே³ஸே² கதா²ம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும்’ ப்ரதிஷித்³த⁴வாந்|

And they passed through the Phrygian and Galatian country, being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;

7 ததா² முஸியாதே³ஸ² உபஸ்தா²ய பி³து²நியாம்’ க³ந்தும்’ தைருத்³யோகே³ க்ரு’தே ஆத்மா தாந் நாந்வமந்யத|

but, coming along Mysia, they were attempting to journey into Bithynia, —and, the Spirit of Jesus, suffered them not;

8 தஸ்மாத் தே முஸியாதே³ஸ²ம்’ பரித்யஜ்ய த்ரோயாநக³ரம்’ க³த்வா ஸமுபஸ்தி²தா​: |

but, passing by Mysia, they came down unto Troas.

9 ராத்ரௌ பௌல​: ஸ்வப்நே த்³ரு’ஷ்டவாந் ஏகோ மாகித³நியலோகஸ்திஷ்ட²ந் விநயம்’ க்ரு’த்வா தஸ்மை கத²யதி, மாகித³நியாதே³ஸ²ம் ஆக³த்யாஸ்மாந் உபகுர்வ்விதி|

And, a vision, by night, unto Paul appeared: —A man of Macedonia, there was, standing and beseeching him, and saying—Come over into Macedonia, and bring us succour!

10 தஸ்யேத்த²ம்’ ஸ்வப்நத³ர்ஸ²நாத் ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தத்³தே³ஸீ²யலோகாந் ப்ரதி ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயிதும் அஸ்மாந் ஆஹூயதீதி நிஸ்²சிதம்’ பு³த்³த்⁴வா வயம்’ தூர்ணம்’ மாகித³நியாதே³ஸ²ம்’ க³ந்தும் உத்³யோக³ம் அகுர்ம்ம|

Now, when, the vision, he had seen, straightway, we sought to go forth unto Macedonia, concluding that God, had summoned us to tell the glad tidings unto them.

11 தத​: பரம்’ வயம்’ த்ரோயாநக³ராத்³ ப்ரஸ்தா²ய ரு’ஜுமார்கே³ண ஸாமத்²ராகியோபத்³வீபேந க³த்வா பரே(அ)ஹநி நியாபலிநக³ர உபஸ்தி²தா​: |

Setting sail, therefore, from Troas, we ran straight into Samothracia, and, on the morrow, unto New City,

12 தஸ்மாத்³ க³த்வா மாகித³நியாந்தர்வ்வர்த்தி ரோமீயவஸதிஸ்தா²நம்’ யத் பி²லிபீநாமப்ரதா⁴நநக³ரம்’ தத்ரோபஸ்தா²ய கதிபயதி³நாநி தத்ர ஸ்தி²தவந்த​: |

and, from thence, unto Philippi, —which, indeed, is the first city of the part of Macedonia—a colony. And we were, in this city, spending certain days;

13 விஸ்²ராமவாரே நக³ராத்³ ப³ஹி ர்க³த்வா நதீ³தடே யத்ர ப்ரார்த²நாசார ஆஸீத் தத்ரோபவிஸ்²ய ஸமாக³தா நாரீ​: ப்ரதி கதா²ம்’ ப்ராசாரயாம|

and on the day of rest, we went forth outside the gate, beside a river, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, —and, sitting down, we went on to speak unto the women who had come together.

14 தத​: து²யாதீராநக³ரீயா தூ⁴ஷராம்ப³ரவிக்ராயிணீ லுதி³யாநாமிகா யா ஈஸ்²வரஸேவிகா யோஷித் ஸ்²ரோத்ரீணாம்’ மத்⁴ய ஆஸீத் தயா பௌலோக்தவாக்யாநி யத்³ க்³ரு’ஹ்யந்தே தத³ர்த²ம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தஸ்யா மநோத்³வாரம்’ முக்தவாந்|

And, a certain woman, by name Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, devout towards God, was hearkening, whose heart, the Lord, fully opened, to be giving heed unto the things being spoken by Paul.

15 அத​: ஸா யோஷித் ஸபரிவாரா மஜ்ஜிதா ஸதீ விநயம்’ க்ரு’த்வா கதி²தவதீ, யுஷ்மாகம்’ விசாராத்³ யதி³ ப்ரபௌ⁴ விஸ்²வாஸிநீ ஜாதாஹம்’ தர்ஹி மம க்³ரு’ஹம் ஆக³த்ய திஷ்ட²த| இத்த²ம்’ ஸா யத்நேநாஸ்மாந் அஸ்தா²பயத்|

And, when she was immersed, and her house, she besought [us], saying—If ye have judged me to be a believer in the Lord, come into my house, and abide [there]. And she constrained us.

16 யஸ்யா க³ணநயா தத³தி⁴பதீநாம்’ ப³ஹுத⁴நோபார்ஜநம்’ ஜாதம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸீ² க³ணகபூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தா காசந தா³ஸீ ப்ரார்த²நாஸ்தா²நக³மநகால ஆக³த்யாஸ்மாந் ஸாக்ஷாத் க்ரு’தவதீ|

And it came to pass, as we were on our way unto the place of prayer, a certain damsel, having a spirit of Python, met us, —who, indeed, much gain, was presenting unto her masters, by divining.

17 ஸாஸ்மாகம்’ பௌலஸ்ய ச பஸ்²சாத்³ ஏத்ய ப்ரோச்சை​: கதா²மிமாம்’ கதி²தவதீ, மநுஷ்யா ஏதே ஸர்வ்வோபரிஸ்த²ஸ்யேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸேவகா​: ஸந்தோ(அ)ஸ்மாந் ப்ரதி பரித்ராணஸ்ய மார்க³ம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யந்தி|

The same, following after Paul and us, kept crying aloud, saying—These men, are servants of the Most High God, —who, indeed, are declaring unto you a way of salvation.

18 ஸா கந்யா ப³ஹுதி³நாநி தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம் அகரோத் தஸ்மாத் பௌலோ து³​: கி²த​: ஸந் முக²ம்’ பராவர்த்ய தம்’ பூ⁴தமவத³த்³, அஹம்’ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நா த்வாமாஜ்ஞாபயாமி த்வமஸ்யா ப³ஹிர்க³ச்ச²; தேநைவ தத்க்ஷணாத் ஸ பூ⁴தஸ்தஸ்யா ப³ஹிர்க³த​: |

And, this, she continued to do for many days. But Paul, worn out, and turning unto the spirit, said—I charge thee, in the name of Jesus Christ, to come out from her. And it came out the same hour.

19 தத​: ஸ்வேஷாம்’ லாப⁴ஸ்ய ப்ரத்யாஸா² விப²லா ஜாதேதி விலோக்ய தஸ்யா​: ப்ரப⁴வ​: பௌலம்’ ஸீலஞ்ச த்⁴ரு’த்வாக்ரு’ஷ்ய விசாரஸ்தா²நே(அ)தி⁴பதீநாம்’ ஸமீபம் ஆநயந்|

And, her masters, seeing that their hope of gain had gone out, laying hold on Paul and Silas, dragged them into the market-place, unto the rulers;

20 தத​: ஸா²ஸகாநாம்’ நிகடம்’ நீத்வா ரோமிலோகா வயம் அஸ்மாகம்’ யத்³ வ்யவஹரணம்’ க்³ரஹீதும் ஆசரிதுஞ்ச நிஷித்³த⁴ம்’,

and, leading them forward unto the magistrates, said—These men, are exceedingly troubling our city, they, being Jews,

21 இமே யிஹூதீ³யலோகா​: ஸந்தோபி ததே³வ ஸி²க்ஷயித்வா நக³ரே(அ)ஸ்மாகம் அதீவ கலஹம்’ குர்வ்வந்தி,

And are declaring customs, which it is not allowable for us either to accept or to observe, being Romans.

22 இதி கதி²தே ஸதி லோகநிவஹஸ்தயோ​: ப்ராதிகூல்யேநோத³திஷ்ட²த் ததா² ஸா²ஸகாஸ்தயோ ர்வஸ்த்ராணி சி²த்வா வேத்ராகா⁴தம்’ கர்த்தும் ஆஜ்ஞாபயந்|

And the multitude rose up together against them, and, the magistrates, rending off them their mantles, were giving orders to beat them with rods;

23 அபரம்’ தே தௌ ப³ஹு ப்ரஹார்ய்ய த்வமேதௌ காராம்’ நீத்வா ஸாவதா⁴நம்’ ரக்ஷயேதி காராரக்ஷகம் ஆதி³ஸ²ந்|

and, laying upon them many stripes, they thrust them into prison, charging the prison-keeper, safely, to be keeping them:

24 இத்த²ம் ஆஜ்ஞாம்’ ப்ராப்ய ஸ தாவப்⁴யந்தரஸ்த²காராம்’ நீத்வா பாதே³ஷு பாத³பாஸீ²பி⁴ ர்ப³த்³த்⁴வா ஸ்தா²பிதாவாந்|

who, a charge like this receiving, thrust them into the inner prison, and, their feet, made he fast in the stocks.

25 அத² நிஸீ²த²ஸமயே பௌலஸீலாவீஸ்²வரமுத்³தி³ஸ்²ய ப்ராத²நாம்’ கா³நஞ்ச க்ரு’தவந்தௌ, காராஸ்தி²தா லோகாஸ்²ச தத³ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்

And, at midnight, Paul and Silas, being at prayer, began singing praise unto God; and the prisoners unto them, did hearken.

26 ததா³கஸ்மாத் மஹாந் பூ⁴மிகம்போ(அ)ப⁴வத் தேந பி⁴த்திமூலேந ஸஹ காரா கம்பிதாபூ⁴த் தத்க்ஷணாத் ஸர்வ்வாணி த்³வாராணி முக்தாநி ஜாதாநி ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ப³ந்த⁴நாநி ச முக்தாநி|

And, suddenly, a great earthquake took place, —so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and all the doors were [instantly] set open, and the bonds of all were unfastened.

27 அதஏவ காராரக்ஷகோ நித்³ராதோ ஜாக³ரித்வா காராயா த்³வாராணி முக்தாநி த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ப³ந்தி³லோகா​: பலாயிதா இத்யநுமாய கோஷாத் க²ங்க³ம்’ ப³ஹி​: க்ரு’த்வாத்மகா⁴தம்’ கர்த்தும் உத்³யத​: |

And, the prison-keeper, being wakened and seeing that the doors of the prison had been opened, drawing his sword, was about to kill himself, supposing the prisoners to have fled.

28 கிந்து பௌல​: ப்ரோச்சைஸ்தமாஹூய கதி²தவாந் பஸ்²ய வயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே(அ)த்ராஸ்மஹே, த்வம்’ நிஜப்ராணஹிம்’ஸாம்’ மாகார்ஷீ​: |

But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying—By no means, do thyself harm, for we are, one and all, here.

29 ததா³ ப்ரதீ³பம் ஆநேதும் உக்த்வா ஸ கம்பமாந​: ஸந் உல்லம்ப்யாப்⁴யந்தரம் ஆக³த்ய பௌலஸீலயோ​: பாதே³ஷு பதிதவாந்|

And, asking for a light, he sprang in, and becoming, agitated, fell down unto Paul and Silas,

30 பஸ்²சாத் ஸ தௌ ப³ஹிராநீய ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் ஹே மஹேச்சௌ² பரித்ராணம்’ ப்ராப்தும்’ மயா கிம்’ கர்த்தவ்யம்’?

and, leading them forth outside, said—Sirs! what must I be doing, that I may be saved?

31 பஸ்²சாத் தௌ ஸ்வக்³ரு’ஹமாநீய தயோ​: ஸம்முகே² கா²த்³யத்³ரவ்யாணி ஸ்தா²பிதவாந் ததா² ஸ ஸ்வயம்’ ததீ³யா​: ஸர்வ்வே பரிவாராஸ்²சேஸ்²வரே விஸ்²வஸந்த​: ஸாநந்தி³தா அப⁴வந்|

And, they, said—Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, thou, and thy house.

32 தஸ்மை தஸ்ய க்³ரு’ஹஸ்தி²தஸர்வ்வலோகேப்⁴யஸ்²ச ப்ரபோ⁴​: கதா²ம்’ கதி²தவந்தௌ|

And they spake unto him the word of God, with all who were in his house.

33 ததா² ராத்ரேஸ்தஸ்மிந்நேவ த³ண்டே³ ஸ தௌ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தயோ​: ப்ரஹாராணாம்’ க்ஷதாநி ப்ரக்ஷாலிதவாந் தத​: ஸ ஸ்வயம்’ தஸ்ய ஸர்வ்வே பரிஜநாஸ்²ச மஜ்ஜிதா அப⁴வந்|

And, taking them with him, in that hour of the night, he bathed them from their stripes, and was immersed, he, and his, one and all, on the spot;

34 பஸ்²சாத் தௌ ஸ்வக்³ரு’ஹமாநீய தயோ​: ஸம்முகே² கா²த்³யத்³ரவ்யாணி ஸ்தா²பிதவாந் ததா² ஸ ஸ்வயம்’ ததீ³யா​: ஸர்வ்வே பரிவாராஸ்²சேஸ்²வரே விஸ்²வஸந்த​: ஸாநந்தி³தா அப⁴வந்|

and, leading them up into his house, he set near a table, —and exulted, having, with all his house, believed in God.

35 தி³ந உபஸ்தி²தே தௌ லோகௌ மோசயேதி கதா²ம்’ கத²யிதும்’ ஸா²ஸகா​: பதா³திக³ணம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவந்த​: |

And. when day came. the magistrates sent off the constables saying—Let those men go!

36 தத​: காராரக்ஷக​: பௌலாய தாம்’ வார்த்தாம்’ கதி²தவாந் யுவாம்’ த்யாஜயிதும்’ ஸா²ஸகா லோகாந ப்ரேஷிதவந்த இதா³நீம்’ யுவாம்’ ப³ஹி ர்பூ⁴த்வா குஸ²லேந ப்ரதிஷ்டே²தாம்’|

And the prison-keeper reported the words unto Paul—The magistrates have sent, that ye be let go. Now, therefore, going forth, be taking your journey in peace.

37 கிந்து பௌலஸ்தாந் அவத³த் ரோமிலோகயோராவயோ​: கமபி தோ³ஷம் ந நிஸ்²சித்ய ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ ஸமக்ஷம் ஆவாம்’ கஸ²யா தாட³யித்வா காராயாம்’ ப³த்³த⁴வந்த இதா³நீம்’ கிமாவாம்’ கு³ப்தம்’ விஸ்த்ரக்ஷ்யந்தி? தந்ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி, ஸ்வயமாக³த்யாவாம்’ ப³ஹி​: க்ரு’த்வா நயந்து|

But, Paul, said unto them—Beating us, in public, uncondemned, men that are Romans, they thrust us into prison; —and, now, by stealth, are they thrusting us forth? Nay, verily! but let them come, themselves, and lead us out!

38 ததா³ பதா³திபி⁴​: ஸா²ஸகேப்⁴ய ஏதத்³வார்த்தாயாம்’ கதி²தாயாம்’ தௌ ரோமிலோகாவிதி கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா தே பீ⁴தா​:

And the constables reported unto the magistrates these words; and they were struck with fear, when they heard that they were, Romans;

39 ஸந்தஸ்தயோ​: ஸந்நிதி⁴மாக³த்ய விநயம் அகுர்வ்வந் அபரம்’ ப³ஹி​: க்ரு’த்வா நக³ராத் ப்ரஸ்தா²தும்’ ப்ரார்தி²தவந்த​: |

and came, and besought them, and, leading them out, went on to request them to depart from the city.

40 ததஸ்தௌ காராயா நிர்க³த்ய லுதி³யாயா க்³ரு’ஹம்’ க³தவந்தௌ தத்ர ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ணம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்க்ரு’த்ய தாந் ஸாந்த்வயித்வா தஸ்மாத் ஸ்தா²நாத் ப்ரஸ்தி²தௌ|

And so, coming forth from the prison, they went unto Lydia, and, seeing the brethren, they comforted them, and went forth.
