රෝමිණඃ 12

1 හේ භ්‍රාතර ඊශ්වරස්‍ය කෘපයාහං යුෂ්මාන් විනයේ යූයං ස්වං ස්වං ශරීරං සජීවං පවිත්‍රං ග්‍රාහ්‍යං බලිම් ඊශ්වරමුද්දිශ්‍ය සමුත්සෘජත, ඒෂා සේවා යුෂ්මාකං යෝග්‍යා|

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.

2 අපරං යූයං සාංසාරිකා ඉව මාචරත, කින්තු ස්වං ස්වං ස්වභාවං පරාවර්ත්‍ය නූතනාචාරිණෝ භවත, තත ඊශ්වරස්‍ය නිදේශඃ කීදෘග් උත්තමෝ ග්‍රහණීයඃ සම්පූර්ණශ්චේති යුෂ්මාභිරනුභාවිෂ්‍යතේ| (aiōn g165)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)

3 කශ්චිදපි ජනෝ යෝග්‍යත්වාදධිකං ස්වං න මන්‍යතාං කින්තු ඊශ්වරෝ යස්මෛ ප්‍රත්‍යයස්‍ය යත්පරිමාණම් අදදාත් ස තදනුසාරතෝ යෝග්‍යරූපං ස්වං මනුතාම්, ඊශ්වරාද් අනුග්‍රහං ප්‍රාප්තඃ සන් යුෂ්මාකම් ඒකෛකං ජනම් ඉත්‍යාඥාපයාමි|

For through the grace given to me, I say, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 යතෝ යද්වදස්මාකම් ඒකස්මින් ශරීරේ බහූන්‍යඞ්ගානි සන්ති කින්තු සර්ව්වේෂාමඞ්ගානාං කාර‍්‍ය්‍යං සමානං නහි;

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 තද්වදස්මාකං බහුත්වේ(අ)පි සර්ව්වේ වයං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේ ඒකශරීරාඃ පරස්පරම් අඞ්ගප්‍රත්‍යඞ්ගත්වේන භවාමඃ|

So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 අස්මාද් ඊශ්වරානුග්‍රහේණ විශේෂං විශේෂං දානම් අස්මාසු ප්‍රාප්තේෂු සත්සු කෝපි යදි භවිෂ්‍යද්වාක්‍යං වදති තර්හි ප්‍රත්‍යයස්‍ය පරිමාණානුසාරතඃ ස තද් වදතු;

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;

7 යද්වා යදි කශ්චිත් සේවනකාරී භවති තර්හි ස තත්සේවනං කරෝතු; අථවා යදි කශ්චිද් අධ්‍යාපයිතා භවති තර්හි සෝ(අ)ධ්‍යාපයතු;

Or ministry, [let us wait] on [our] ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching:

8 තථා ය උපදේෂ්ටා භවති ස උපදිශතු යශ්ච දාතා ස සරලතයා දදාතු යස්ත්වධිපතිඃ ස යත්නේනාධිපතිත්වං කරෝතු යශ්ච දයාලුඃ ස හෘෂ්ටමනසා දයතාම්|

Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, [let him do it] with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 අපරඤ්ච යුෂ්මාකං ප්‍රේම කාපට්‍යවර්ජිතං භවතු යද් අභද්‍රං තද් ඍතීයධ්වං යච්ච භද්‍රං තස්මින් අනුරජ්‍යධ්වම්|

[Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 අපරං භ්‍රාතෘත්වප්‍රේම්නා පරස්පරං ප්‍රීයධ්වං සමාදරාද් ඒකෝ(අ)පරජනං ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨං ජානීධ්වම්|

[Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;

11 තථා කාර‍්‍ය්‍යේ නිරාලස්‍යා මනසි ච සෝද්‍යෝගාඃ සන්තඃ ප්‍රභුං සේවධ්වම්|

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

12 අපරං ප්‍රත්‍යාශායාම් ආනන්දිතා දුඃඛසමයේ ච ධෛර‍්‍ය්‍යයුක්තා භවත; ප්‍රාර්ථනායාං සතතං ප්‍රවර්ත්තධ්වං|

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing earnest in prayer;

13 පවිත්‍රාණාං දීනතාං දූරීකුරුධ්වම් අතිථිසේවායාම් අනුරජ්‍යධ්වම්|

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

14 යේ ජනා යුෂ්මාන් තාඩයන්ති තාන් ආශිෂං වදත ශාපම් අදත්ත්වා දද්ධ්වමාශිෂම්|

Bless them who persecute you; bless, and curse not.

15 යේ ජනා ආනන්දන්ති තෛඃ සාර්ද්ධම් ආනන්දත යේ ච රුදන්ති තෛඃ සහ රුදිත|

Rejoice with them that rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 අපරඤ්ච යුෂ්මාකං මනසාං පරස්පරම් ඒකෝභාවෝ භවතු; අපරම් උච්චපදම් අනාකාඞ්ක්‍ෂ්‍ය නීචලෝකෛඃ සහාපි මාර්දවම් ආචරත; ස්වාන් ඥානිනෝ න මන්‍යධ්වං|

[Be] of the same mind one towards another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 පරස්මාද් අපකාරං ප්‍රාප්‍යාපි පරං නාපකුරුත| සර්ව්වේෂාං දෘෂ්ටිතෝ යත් කර්ම්මෝත්තමං තදේව කුරුත|

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 යදි භවිතුං ශක්‍යතේ තර්හි යථාශක්ති සර්ව්වලෝකෛඃ සහ නිර්ව්විරෝධේන කාලං යාපයත|

If [it is] possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 හේ ප්‍රියබන්ධවඃ, කස්මෛචිද් අපකාරස්‍ය සමුචිතං දණ්ඩං ස්වයං න දද්ධ්වං, කින්ත්වීශ්වරීයක්‍රෝධාය ස්ථානං දත්ත යතෝ ලිඛිතමාස්තේ පරමේශ්වරඃ කථයති, දානං ඵලස්‍ය මත්කර්ම්ම සූචිතං ප්‍රදදාම්‍යහං|

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 ඉතිකාරණාද් රිපු ර‍්‍යදි ක්‍ෂුධාර්ත්තස්තේ තර්හි තං ත්වං ප්‍රභෝජය| තථා යදි තෘෂාර්ත්තඃ ස්‍යාත් තර්හි තං පරිපායය| තේන ත්වං මස්තකේ තස්‍ය ජ්වලදග්නිං නිධාස්‍යසි|

Therefore if thy enemy hungereth, feed him; if he thirsteth, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 කුක්‍රියයා පරාජිතා න සන්ත උත්තමක්‍රියයා කුක්‍රියාං පරාජයත|

Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
