ලූකඃ 17
1 ඉතඃ පරං යීශුඃ ශිෂ්‍යාන් උවාච, විඝ්නෛරවශ්‍යම් ආගන්තව්‍යං කින්තු විඝ්නා යේන ඝටිෂ්‍යන්තේ තස්‍ය දුර්ගති ර්භවිෂ්‍යති|
And Jesus said to his disciples: It cannot be, but that offences will come: but woe to him, by whom they come.
2 ඒතේෂාං ක්‍ෂුද්‍රප්‍රාණිනාම් ඒකස්‍යාපි විඝ්නජනනාත් කණ්ඨබද්ධපේෂණීකස්‍ය තස්‍ය සාගරාගාධජලේ මජ්ජනං භද්‍රං|
Better for him were it, if a millstone were suspended to his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 යූයං ස්වේෂු සාවධානාස්තිෂ්ඨත; තව භ්‍රාතා යදි තව කිඤ්චිද් අපරාධ්‍යති තර්හි තං තර්ජය, තේන යදි මනඃ පරිවර්ත්තයති තර්හි තං ක්‍ෂමස්ව|
Take heed to yourselves. If thy brother transgress, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 පුනරේකදිනමධ්‍යේ යදි ස තව සප්තකෘත්වෝ(අ)පරාධ්‍යති කින්තු සප්තකෘත්ව ආගත්‍ය මනඃ පරිවර්ත්‍ය මයාපරාද්ධම් ඉති වදති තර්හි තං ක්‍ෂමස්ව|
And if he shall offend against thee seven times in a day, and, seven times in a day, shall turn himself to thee, and say, I repent; forgive him.
5 තදා ප්‍රේරිතාඃ ප්‍රභුම් අවදන් අස්මාකං විශ්වාසං වර්ද්ධය|
And the Legates said to our Lord: Increase our faith.
6 ප්‍රභුරුවාච, යදි යුෂ්මාකං සර්ෂපෛකප්‍රමාණෝ විශ්වාසෝස්ති තර්හි ත්වං සමූලමුත්පාටිතෝ භූත්වා සමුද්‍රේ රෝපිතෝ භව කථායාම් ඒතස්‍යාම් ඒතදුඩුම්බරාය කථිතායාං ස යුෂ්මාකමාඥාවහෝ භවිෂ්‍යති|
He said to them: If ye had faith like a grain of mustard seed, ye might say to this mulberry-tree, Be thou torn up by the roots, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
7 අපරං ස්වදාසේ හලං වාහයිත්වා වා පශූන් චාරයිත්වා ක්‍ෂේත්‍රාද් ආගතේ සති තං වදති, ඒහි භෝක්තුමුපවිශ, යුෂ්මාකම් ඒතාදෘශඃ කෝස්ති?
Which of you, having a servant driving a yoke of oxen, or tending sheep, will say to him when he cometh from the field, Pass on at once, and recline for supper?
8 වරඤ්ච පූර්ව්වං මම ඛාද්‍යමාසාද්‍ය යාවද් භුඤ්ජේ පිවාමි ච තාවද් බද්ධකටිඃ පරිචර පශ්චාත් ත්වමපි භෝක්‍ෂ්‍යසේ පාස්‍යසි ච කථාමීදෘශීං කිං න වක්‍ෂ්‍යති?
But he will say to him: Prepare for me what I may sup upon, and gird thy loins and serve me, until I have eaten and drunken; and afterwards thou shalt eat and drink.
9 තේන දාසේන ප්‍රභෝරාඥානුරූපේ කර්ම්මණි කෘතේ ප්‍රභුඃ කිං තස්මින් බාධිතෝ ජාතඃ? නේත්ථං බුධ්‍යතේ මයා|
Hath he thanks for him, because the servant did what was commanded him? I think not.
10 ඉත්ථං නිරූපිතේෂු සර්ව්වකර්ම්මසු කෘතේෂු සත්මු යූයමපීදං වාක්‍යං වදථ, වයම් අනුපකාරිණෝ දාසා අස්මාභිර‍්‍යද්‍යත්කර්ත්තව්‍යං තන්මාත්‍රමේව කෘතං|
So also ye, when ye have done all the things commanded you, say: We are unprofitable servants, for we have done only what we were obligated to do.
11 ස යිරූශාලමි යාත්‍රාං කුර්ව්වන් ශෝමිරෝණ්ගාලීල්ප්‍රදේශමධ්‍යේන ගච්ඡති,
And it occurred as Jesus advanced towards Jerusalem, that he passed among the Samaritans into Galilee.
12 ඒතර්හි කුත්‍රචිද් ග්‍රාමේ ප්‍රවේශමාත්‍රේ දශකුෂ්ඨිනස්තං සාක්‍ෂාත් කෘත්වා
And when he drew near to enter a certain village, there met him ten leprous men; and they stood at a distance,
13 දූරේ තිෂ්ඨනත උච්චෛ ර්වක්තුමාරේභිරේ, හේ ප්‍රභෝ යීශෝ දයස්වාස්මාන්|
and raised their voice, and said: Our Rabbi, Jesus, have compassion upon us.
14 තතඃ ස තාන් දෘෂ්ට්වා ජගාද, යූයං යාජකානාං සමීපේ ස්වාන් දර්ශයත, තතස්තේ ගච්ඡන්තෝ රෝගාත් පරිෂ්කෘතාඃ|
And when he had looked upon them, he said to them: Go, show yourselves to the priests. And as they were going, they were cleansed.
15 තදා තේෂාමේකඃ ස්වං ස්වස්ථං දෘෂ්ට්වා ප්‍රෝච්චෛරීශ්වරං ධන්‍යං වදන් ව්‍යාඝුට්‍යායාතෝ යීශෝ ර්ගුණානනුවදන් තච්චරණාධෝභූමෞ පපාත;
And one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, returned, and with a loud voice, glorified God.
16 ස චාසීත් ශෝමිරෝණී|
And he fell on his face, at the feet of Jesus, and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.
17 තදා යීශුරවදත්, දශජනාඃ කිං න පරිෂ්කෘතාඃ? තහ්‍යන්‍යේ නවජනාඃ කුත්‍ර?
And Jesus answered, and said: Were they not ten who were cleansed? Where are the nine?
18 ඊශ්වරං ධන්‍යං වදන්තම් ඒනං විදේශිනං විනා කෝප්‍යන්‍යෝ න ප්‍රාප්‍යත|
Have they so gone as not to come and give glory to God; except this one, who is of another nation?
19 තදා ස තමුවාච, ත්වමුත්ථාය යාහි විශ්වාසස්තේ ත්වාං ස්වස්ථං කෘතවාන්|
And he said to him; Arise, and go: thy faith hath given thee life.
20 අථ කදේශ්වරස්‍ය රාජත්වං භවිෂ්‍යතීති ඵිරූශිභිඃ පෘෂ්ටේ ස ප්‍රත්‍යුවාච, ඊශ්වරස්‍ය රාජත්වම් ඓශ්වර‍්‍ය්‍යදර්ශනේන න භවිෂ්‍යති|
And as some of the Pharisees asked him, When the kingdom of God would come; he answered, and said to them: The kingdom of God will not come with observables.
21 අත ඒතස්මින් පශ්‍ය තස්මින් වා පශ්‍ය, ඉති වාක්‍යං ලෝකා වක්තුං න ශක්‍ෂ්‍යන්ති, ඊශ්වරස්‍ය රාජත්වං යුෂ්මාකම් අන්තරේවාස්තේ|
And they will not say: Behold, here it is! or, Behold, it is there! For lo, the kingdom of God is within you
22 තතඃ ස ශිෂ්‍යාන් ජගාද, යදා යුෂ්මාභි ර්මනුජසුතස්‍ය දිනමේකං ද්‍රෂ්ටුම් වාඤ්ඡිෂ්‍යතේ කින්තු න දර්ශිෂ්‍යතේ, ඊදෘක්කාල ආයාති|
And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when ye will long to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye will not see them.
23 තදාත්‍ර පශ්‍ය වා තත්‍ර පශ්‍යේති වාක්‍යං ලෝකා වක්‍ෂ්‍යන්ති, කින්තු තේෂාං පශ්චාත් මා යාත, මානුගච්ඡත ච|
And if they shall say to you: Lo, here he is! or, Lo, there he is! go not forth.
24 යතස්තඩිද් යථාකාශෛකදිශ්‍යුදිය තදන්‍යාමපි දිශං ව්‍යාප්‍ය ප්‍රකාශතේ තද්වත් නිජදිනේ මනුජසූනුඃ ප්‍රකාශිෂ්‍යතේ|
For, as the lightning darteth from the heavens, and illuminateth all beneath the heavens; so will the Son of man be, in his day.
25 කින්තු තත්පූර්ව්වං තේනානේකානි දුඃඛානි භෝක්තව්‍යාන්‍යේතද්වර්ත්තමානලෝකෛශ්ච සෝ(අ)වඥාතව්‍යඃ|
But, previously, he is to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.
26 නෝහස්‍ය විද්‍යමානකාලේ යථාභවත් මනුෂ්‍යසූනෝඃ කාලේපි තථා භවිෂ්‍යති|
And as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of man.
27 යාවත්කාලං නෝහෝ මහාපෝතං නාරෝහද් ආප්ලාවිවාර‍්‍ය්‍යේත්‍ය සර්ව්වං නානාශයච්ච තාවත්කාලං යථා ලෝකා අභුඤ්ජතාපිවන් ව්‍යවහන් ව්‍යවාහයංශ්ච;
They ate and drank, they took wives and were given to husbands, until the day that Noah entered the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed every one.
28 ඉත්ථං ලෝටෝ වර්ත්තමානකාලේපි යථා ලෝකා භෝජනපානක්‍රයවික්‍රයරෝපණගෘහනිර්ම්මාණකර්ම්මසු ප්‍රාවර්ත්තන්ත,
And again, as it was in the days of Lot; they ate and drank, bought and sold, planted and built.
29 කින්තු යදා ලෝට් සිදෝමෝ නිර්ජගාම තදා නභසඃ සගන්ධකාග්නිවෘෂ්ටි ර්භූත්වා සර්ව්වං ව්‍යනාශයත්
But in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, the Lord rained fire and sulphur from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 තද්වන් මානවපුත්‍රප්‍රකාශදිනේපි භවිෂ්‍යති|
Thus will it be, in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
31 තදා යදි කශ්චිද් ගෘහෝපරි තිෂ්ඨති තර්හි ස ගෘහමධ්‍යාත් කිමපි ද්‍රව්‍යමානේතුම් අවරුහ්‍ය නෛතු; යශ්ච ක්‍ෂේත්‍රේ තිෂ්ඨති සෝපි ව්‍යාඝුට්‍ය නායාතු|
In that day, let him that is on the house-top, and his goods in the house, not come down to take them: and let him that is in the field, not return after what is behind him.
32 ලෝටඃ පත්නීං ස්මරත|
Remember Lot's wife.
33 යඃ ප්‍රාණාන් රක්‍ෂිතුං චේෂ්ටිෂ්‍යතේ ස ප්‍රාණාන් හාරයිෂ්‍යති යස්තු ප්‍රාණාන් හාරයිෂ්‍යති සඒව ප්‍රාණාන් රක්‍ෂිෂ්‍යති|
He that desireth to preserve his life, will lose it; and he that will lose his life, shall preserve it.
34 යුෂ්මානහං වච්මි තස්‍යාං රාත්‍රෞ ශය්‍යෛකගතයෝ ර්ලෝකයෝරේකෝ ධාරිෂ්‍යතේ පරස්ත්‍යක්‍ෂ්‍යතේ|
I tell you, that, in that night, two will be in one bed; one will be taken, and the other left.
35 ස්ත්‍රියෞ යුගපත් පේෂණීං ව්‍යාවර්ත්තයිෂ්‍යතස්තයෝරේකා ධාරිෂ්‍යතේ පරාත්‍යක්‍ෂ්‍යතේ|
And two females will be grinding together; one will be taken, and the other left.
36 පුරුෂෞ ක්‍ෂේත්‍රේ ස්ථාස්‍යතස්තයෝරේකෝ ධාරිෂ්‍යතේ පරස්ත්‍යක්‍ෂ්‍යතේ|
Two men will be in the field; one will be taken, and the other left.
37 තදා තේ පප්‍රච්ඡුඃ, හේ ප්‍රභෝ කුත්‍රේත්ථං භවිෂ්‍යති? තතඃ ස උවාච, යත්‍ර ශවස්තිෂ්ඨති තත්‍ර ගෘධ්‍රා මිලන්ති|
They answered, and said to him: Whither, our Lord? He said to them: Where the body is, there will the eagles assemble themselves.
