ਫਿਲੋਮੋਨਃ 1

1 ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਰ੍ਬਨ੍ਦਿਦਾਸਃ ਪੌਲਸ੍ਤੀਥਿਯਨਾਮਾ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਚ ਪ੍ਰਿਯੰ ਸਹਕਾਰਿਣੰ ਫਿਲੀਮੋਨੰ

To my beloved friend and coworker Philemon,

2 ਪ੍ਰਿਯਾਮ੍ ਆੱਪਿਯਾਂ ਸਹਸੇਨਾਮ੍ ਆਰ੍ਖਿੱਪੰ ਫਿਲੀਮੋਨਸ੍ਯ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੇ ਸ੍ਥਿਤਾਂ ਸਮਿਤਿਞ੍ਚ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪਤ੍ਰੰ ਲਿਖਤਃ|

to my sister Apphia, to my fellow soldier Archippus, and to the church which meets at Philemon’s house. From Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and brother Timothy.

3 ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਤਾਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ਼੍ਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਿਮ੍ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਞ੍ਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ੍ਤਾਂ|

Grace and peace be to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 ਪ੍ਰਭੁੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਲੋਕਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਚ ਤਵ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਯੋ ਰ੍ਵ੍ਰੁʼੱਤਾਨ੍ਤੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਮ੍ਯਾਹੰ

I am ever mentioning you in my prayers, and giving thanks to God,

5 ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਸਮਯੇ ਤਵ ਨਾਮੋੱਚਾਰਯਨ੍ ਨਿਰਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਮਮੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ|

because I am hearing of your love and of the faith which you hold, not only toward the Lord Jesus Christ, but toward all the saints.

6 ਅਸ੍ਮਾਸੁ ਯਦ੍ਯਤ੍ ਸੌਜਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਤੇ ਤਤ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁੰ ਯਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਭਵਤੀਤਿ ਜ੍ਞਾਨਾਯ ਤਵ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਮੂਲਿਕਾ ਦਾਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਯਤ੍ ਸਫਲਾ ਭਵੇਤ੍ ਤਦਹਮ੍ ਇੱਛਾਮਿ|

And I pray that your participation may become effectual, as you come to acknowledge every good thing which is in you to Christ.

7 ਹੇ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਃ, ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਆਪ੍ਯਾਯਿਤਾ ਅਭਵਨ੍ ਏਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਤਵ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ੍ਨਾਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਹਾਨ੍ ਆਨਨ੍ਦਃ ਸਾਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨਾ ਚ ਜਾਤਃ|

For I have great joy and comfort in your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed.

8 ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਯਤ੍ ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯੰ ਤਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵਾਮ੍ ਆਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਿਤੁੰ ਯਦ੍ਯਪ੍ਯਹੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਨਾਤੀਵੋਤ੍ਸੁਕੋ ਭਵੇਯੰ ਤਥਾਪਿ ਵ੍ਰੁʼੱਧ

And so, although I might be bold in Christ to dictate to you what is fitting,

9 ਇਦਾਨੀਂ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਬਨ੍ਦਿਦਾਸਸ਼੍ਚੈਵਮ੍ਭੂਤੋ ਯਃ ਪੌਲਃ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਵਿਨੇਤੁੰ ਵਰੰ ਮਨ੍ਯੇ|

yet for love’s sake, I rather beseech you, I, Paul, an old man, and now a prisoner for Christ Jesus!

10 ਅਤਃ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਙ੍ਖਲਬੱਧੋ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਯਮਜਨਯੰ ਤੰ ਮਦੀਯਤਨਯਮ੍ ਓਨੀਸ਼਼ਿਮਮ੍ ਅਧਿ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਵਿਨਯੇ|

I beseech you for my son, Onesimus, whom I have begotten in these chains.

11 ਸ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਤਵਾਨੁਪਕਾਰਕ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਿਦਾਨੀਂ ਤਵ ਮਮ ਚੋਪਕਾਰੀ ਭਵਤਿ|

Once you found him "unprofitable," but now he is "profitable" to you and to me.

12 ਤਮੇਵਾਹੰ ਤਵ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਮਿ, ਅਤੋ ਮਦੀਯਪ੍ਰਾਣਸ੍ਵਰੂਪਃ ਸ ਤ੍ਵਯਾਨੁਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਯਤਾਂ|

I am sending him back to you, he himself, that is, my very heart!

13 ਸੁਸੰਵਾਦਸ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਙ੍ਖਲਬੱਧੋ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਪਰਿਚਾਰਕਮਿਵ ਤੰ ਸ੍ਵਸੰਨਿਧੌ ਵਰ੍ੱਤਯਿਤੁਮ੍ ਐੱਛੰ|

I could wish to retain him at my side, so that he might minister to me in your stead, in my bonds for the gospel.

14 ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤਵ ਸੌਜਨ੍ਯੰ ਯਦ੍ ਬਲੇਨ ਨ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਸ੍ਵੇੱਛਾਯਾਃ ਫਲੰ ਭਵੇਤ੍ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਤਵ ਸੰਮਤਿੰ ਵਿਨਾ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯੰ ਨਾਮਨ੍ਯੇ|

But without your consent I was unwilling to do anything, so that your kindness to me might be of your own free will, and not of compulsion.

15 ਕੋ ਜਾਨਾਤਿ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਣਕਾਲਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਤ੍ਵੱਤਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਵਿੱਛੇਦੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਦ੍ ਏਤਸ੍ਯਾਯਮ੍ ਅਭਿਪ੍ਰਾਯੋ ਯਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਅਨਨ੍ਤਕਾਲਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਤੰ ਲਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਸੇ (aiōnios g166)

Perhaps for this reason you were separated from him for an hour, in order that you might have him back forever, (aiōnios g166)

16 ਪੁਨ ਰ੍ਦਾਸਮਿਵ ਲਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਸੇ ਤੰਨਹਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਦਾਸਾਤ੍ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼਼੍ਠੰ ਮਮ ਪ੍ਰਿਯੰ ਤਵ ਚ ਸ਼ਾਰੀਰਿਕਸਮ੍ਬਨ੍ਧਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਸਮ੍ਬਨ੍ਧਾੱਚ ਤਤੋ(ਅ)ਧਿਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਿਯੰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਰਮਿਵ|

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, as a brother beloved; especially dear to me, but how much more to you, both as a man and a fellow Christian.

17 ਅਤੋ ਹੇਤੋ ਰ੍ਯਦਿ ਮਾਂ ਸਹਭਾਗਿਨੰ ਜਾਨਾਸਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਮਾਮਿਵ ਤਮਨੁਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਾਣ|

If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me.

18 ਤੇਨ ਯਦਿ ਤਵ ਕਿਮਪ੍ਯਪਰਾੱਧੰ ਤੁਭ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਧਾਰ੍ੱਯਤੇ ਵਾ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਤ੍ ਮਮੇਤਿ ਵਿਦਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਗਣਯ|

And if he has wronged you at all, or is owing you anything, charge that to me.

19 ਅਹੰ ਤਤ੍ ਪਰਿਸ਼ੋਤ੍ਸ੍ਯਾਮਿ, ਏਤਤ੍ ਪੌਲੋ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਸ੍ਵਹਸ੍ਤੇਨ ਲਿਖਾਮਿ, ਯਤਸ੍ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਅਪਿ ਮਹ੍ਯੰ ਧਾਰਯਸਿ ਤਦ੍ ਵਕ੍ਤੁੰ ਨੇੱਛਾਮਿ|

I Paul am writing this in my own handwriting, "I will repay you." But I will not mention that you owe me, over and over, your very soul.

20 ਭੋ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਃ, ਪ੍ਰਭੋਃ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮਮ ਵਾਞ੍ਛਾਂ ਪੂਰਯ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਆਪ੍ਯਾਯਯ|

Come my brother, let me have joy in the Lord because of you! Refresh my heart in Christ!

21 ਤਵਾਜ੍ਞਾਗ੍ਰਾਹਿਤ੍ਵੇ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸ੍ਯ ਮਯਾ ਏਤਤ੍ ਲਿਖ੍ਯਤੇ ਮਯਾ ਯਦੁਚ੍ਯਤੇ ਤਤੋ(ਅ)ਧਿਕੰ ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਕਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤ ਇਤਿ ਜਾਨਾਮਿ|

Because I am thoroughly persuaded of your obedience, I have written you, knowing full well that you will do by me what I am asking.

22 ਤਤ੍ਕਰਣਸਮਯੇ ਮਦਰ੍ਥਮਪਿ ਵਾਸਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੰ ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਸੱਜੀਕ੍ਰਿਯਤਾਂ ਯਤੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਨਾਂ ਫਲਰੂਪੋ ਵਰ ਇਵਾਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਭ੍ਯੰ ਦਾਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇ ਮਮੇਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਾ ਜਾਯਤੇ|

Please also prepare for me a lodging, for I am hoping by your prayers to be restored to you again.

23 ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਯੀਸ਼ਾਃ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮਯਾ ਸਹ ਬਨ੍ਦਿਰਿਪਾਫ੍ਰਾ

Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greeting;

24 ਮਮ ਸਹਕਾਰਿਣੋ ਮਾਰ੍ਕ ਆਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਰ੍ਖੋ ਦੀਮਾ ਲੂਕਸ਼੍ਚ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਨਮਸ੍ਕਾਰੰ ਵੇਦਯਨ੍ਤਿ|

so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

25 ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਆਤ੍ਮਨਾ ਸਹ ਭੂਯਾਤ੍| ਆਮੇਨ੍|

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
