1 ប្រថមតោ យេ សាក្ឞិណោ វាក្យប្រចារកាឝ្ចាសន៑ តេៜស្មាកំ មធ្យេ យទ្យត៑ សប្រមាណំ វាក្យមប៌យន្តិ ស្ម
Seeing that many have taken it in hand to draw up an account of those matters which have been fully established among us,
2 តទនុសារតោៜន្យេបិ ពហវស្តទ្វ្ឫត្តាន្តំ រចយិតុំ ប្រវ្ឫត្តាះ។
just as they reported them to us, who were from beginning eye- witnesses and ministers of the word,
3 អតឯវ ហេ មហាមហិមថិយផិល៑ ត្វំ យា យាះ កថា អឝិក្ឞ្យថាស្តាសាំ ទ្ឫឍប្រមាណានិ យថា ប្រាប្នោឞិ
it seemed good to me also accurately, from the very beginning, to write them to you in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 តទត៌្ហំ ប្រថមមារភ្យ តានិ សវ៌្វាណិ ជ្ញាត្វាហមបិ អនុក្រមាត៑ សវ៌្វវ្ឫត្តាន្តាន៑ តុភ្យំ លេខិតុំ មតិមកាឞ៌ម៑។
so that you may know the certainty of the story which you have been taught by the word of mouth.
5 យិហូទាទេឝីយហេរោទ្នាមកេ រាជត្វំ កុវ៌្វតិ អពីយយាជកស្យ បយ៌្យាយាធិការី សិខរិយនាមក ឯកោ យាជកោ ហារោណវំឝោទ្ភវា ឥលីឝេវាខ្យា
In the reign of Herod, King of Judea, there was a certain priest, named Zachariah, belonging to the class of Abijah. He had a wife named Elizabeth,
6 តស្យ ជាយា ទ្វាវិមៅ និទ៌ោឞៅ ប្រភោះ សវ៌្វាជ្ញា វ្យវស្ថាឝ្ច សំមន្យ ឦឝ្វរទ្ឫឞ្ដៅ ធាម៌្មិកាវាស្តាម៑។
who was a descendant of Aaron. They were both righteous in the sight of the Lord, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the law, blameless.
7 តយោះ សន្តាន ឯកោបិ នាសីត៑, យត ឥលីឝេវា ពន្ធ្យា តៅ ទ្វាវេវ វ្ឫទ្ធាវភវតាម៑។
Now they had no child, for Elizabeth was barren, and both were far advanced in years.
8 យទា ស្វបយ៌្យានុក្រមេណ សិខរិយ ឦឝ្វាស្យ សមក្ឞំ យាជកីយំ កម៌្ម ករោតិ
Now while Zachariah was acting as priest before God in the due course of his class, it fell to his lot, according to the custom of priesthood,
9 តទា យជ្ញស្យ ទិនបរិបាយ្យា បរមេឝ្វរស្យ មន្ទិរេ ប្រវេឝកាលេ ធូបជ្វាលនំ កម៌្ម តស្យ ករណីយមាសីត៑។
to enter into the sanctuary of the Lord and to burn incense.
10 តទ្ធូបជ្វាលនកាលេ លោកនិវហេ ប្រាត៌្ហនាំ កត៌ុំ ពហិស្តិឞ្ឋតិ
And the whole multitude of the people were without, praying at the hour of incense.
11 សតិ សិខរិយោ យស្យាំ វេទ្យាំ ធូបំ ជ្វាលយតិ តទ្ទក្ឞិណបាឝ៌្វេ បរមេឝ្វរស្យ ទូត ឯក ឧបស្ថិតោ ទឝ៌នំ ទទៅ។
Then there appeared to him an angel of the Lord, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 តំ ទ្ឫឞ្ដ្វា សិខរិយ ឧទ្វិវិជេ ឝឝង្កេ ច។
And as he saw him Zachariah was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 តទា ស ទូតស្តំ ពភាឞេ ហេ សិខរិយ មា ភៃស្តវ ប្រាត៌្ហនា គ្រាហ្យា ជាតា តវ ភាយ៌្យា ឥលីឝេវា បុត្រំ ប្រសោឞ្យតេ តស្យ នាម យោហន៑ ឥតិ ករិឞ្យសិ។
But the Angel said to him. "Do not be afraid, Zachariah, because your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.
14 កិញ្ច ត្វំ សានន្ទះ សហឞ៌ឝ្ច ភវិឞ្យសិ តស្យ ជន្មនិ ពហវ អានន្ទិឞ្យន្តិ ច។
"And he shall be to you a joy and an exultation, and many shall rejoice over his birth.
15 យតោ ហេតោះ ស បរមេឝ្វរស្យ គោចរេ មហាន៑ ភវិឞ្យតិ តថា ទ្រាក្ឞារសំ សុរាំ វា កិមបិ ន បាស្យតិ, អបរំ ជន្មារភ្យ បវិត្រេណាត្មនា បរិបូណ៌ះ
"For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, "He shall drink neither wine nor strong drink, "He shall be filled with the Holy Spirit from the hour of his birth,
16 សន៑ ឥស្រាយេល្វំឝីយាន៑ អនេកាន៑ ប្រភោះ បរមេឝ្វរស្យ មាគ៌មានេឞ្យតិ។
"And shall win many of the sons of Israel to the Lord, their God.
17 សន្តានាន៑ ប្រតិ បិត្ឫណាំ មនាំសិ ធម៌្មជ្ញានំ ប្រត្យនាជ្ញាគ្រាហិណឝ្ច បរាវត៌្តយិតុំ, ប្រភោះ បរមេឝ្វរស្យ សេវាត៌្ហម៑ ឯកាំ សជ្ជិតជាតិំ វិធាតុញ្ច ស ឯលិយរូបាត្មឝក្តិប្រាប្តស្តស្យាគ្រេ គមិឞ្យតិ។
"He shall go before Him in the wisdom and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, and so to make ready for the Lord a people prepared for him."
18 តទា សិខរិយោ ទូតមវាទីត៑ កថមេតទ៑ វេត្ស្យាមិ? យតោហំ វ្ឫទ្ធោ មម ភាយ៌្យា ច វ្ឫទ្ធា។
"How shall I be sure of this?" said Zachariah to the Angel. "For I am an old man and my wife is advanced in years."
19 តតោ ទូតះ ប្រត្យុវាច បឝ្យេឝ្វរស្យ សាក្ឞាទ្វត៌្តី ជិព្រាយេល្នាមា ទូតោហំ ត្វយា សហ កថាំ គទិតុំ តុភ្យមិមាំ ឝុភវាត៌្តាំ ទាតុញ្ច ប្រេឞិតះ។
"I am Gabriel," answered the angel, "who stand in the presence of God; and I have been sent to speak to you and to bring and to bring you this good news.
20 កិន្តុ មទីយំ វាក្យំ កាលេ ផលិឞ្យតិ តត៑ ត្វយា ន ប្រតីតម៑ អតះ ការណាទ៑ យាវទេវ តានិ ន សេត្ស្យន្តិ តាវត៑ ត្វំ វក្តុំមឝក្តោ មូកោ ភវ។
"And now you shall be silent and unable to speak until the day the day when this has taken place; because you did not believe my words - Words which will be fulfilled at their appointed time."
21 តទានីំ យេ យេ លោកាះ សិខរិយមបៃក្ឞន្ត តេ មធ្យេមន្ទិរំ តស្យ ពហុវិលម្ពាទ៑ អាឝ្ចយ៌្យំ មេនិរេ។
Meanwhile the people were waiting for Zachariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the sanctuary.
22 ស ពហិរាគតោ យទា កិមបិ វាក្យំ វក្តុមឝក្តះ សង្កេតំ ក្ឫត្វា និះឝព្ទស្តស្យៅ តទា មធ្យេមន្ទិរំ កស្យចិទ៑ ទឝ៌នំ តេន ប្រាប្តម៑ ឥតិ សវ៌្វេ ពុពុធិរេ។
And when he came out he could not speak to them, and then they knew that he had seen a vision in the sanctuary. He kept making signs to them and remained dumb.
23 អនន្តរំ តស្យ សេវនបយ៌្យាយេ សម្បូណ៌េ សតិ ស និជគេហំ ជគាម។
As soon as his term of priestly service was ended he went home;
24 កតិបយទិនេឞុ គតេឞុ តស្យ ភាយ៌្យា ឥលីឝេវា គព៌្ភវតី ពភូវ
and after those days Elizabeth, his wife, Conceived, and she hid herself five months, saying.
25 បឝ្ចាត៑ សា បញ្ចមាសាន៑ សំគោប្យាកថយត៑ លោកានាំ សមក្ឞំ មមាបមានំ ខណ្ឌយិតុំ បរមេឝ្វរោ មយិ ទ្ឫឞ្ដិំ បាតយិត្វា កម៌្មេទ្ឫឝំ ក្ឫតវាន៑។
"This has the Lord done for me. He has now deigned to take the away my reproach among men."
26 អបរញ្ច តស្យា គព៌្ភស្យ ឞឞ្ឋេ មាសេ ជាតេ គាលីល្ប្រទេឝីយនាសរត្បុរេ
Six months later the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee, called Nazareth,
27 ទាយូទោ វំឝីយាយ យូឞផ្នាម្នេ បុរុឞាយ យា មរិយម្នាមកុមារី វាគ្ទត្តាសីត៑ តស្យាះ សមីបំ ជិព្រាយេល៑ ទូត ឦឝ្វរេណ ប្រហិតះ។
to a maiden betrothed to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. Her name was Mary.
28 ស គត្វា ជគាទ ហេ ឦឝ្វរានុគ្ឫហីតកន្យេ តវ ឝុភំ ភូយាត៑ ប្រភុះ បរមេឝ្វរស្តវ សហាយោស្តិ នារីណាំ មធ្យេ ត្វមេវ ធន្យា។
The angel went in and said to her. "Joy to you, highly favored one! "The Lord is with you."
29 តទានីំ សា តំ ទ្ឫឞ្ដ្វា តស្យ វាក្យត ឧទ្វិជ្យ កីទ្ឫឝំ ភាឞណមិទម៑ ឥតិ មនសា ចិន្តយាមាស។
Mary was greatly agitated at his word, and was revolving in her mind what this salutation could mean.
30 តតោ ទូតោៜវទត៑ ហេ មរិយម៑ ភយំ មាកាឞ៌ីះ, ត្វយិ បរមេឝ្វរស្យានុគ្រហោស្តិ។
when the angel said to her. "Fear not Mary, for you have found grace with God.
31 បឝ្យ ត្វំ គព៌្ភំ ធ្ឫត្វា បុត្រំ ប្រសោឞ្យសេ តស្យ នាម យីឝុរិតិ ករិឞ្យសិ។
"And behold, you shall conceive in your womb and bear a son; and you shall call his name Jesus.
32 ស មហាន៑ ភវិឞ្យតិ តថា សវ៌្វេភ្យះ ឝ្រេឞ្ឋស្យ បុត្រ ឥតិ ខ្យាស្យតិ; អបរំ ប្រភុះ បរមេឝ្វរស្តស្យ បិតុទ៌ាយូទះ សិំហាសនំ តស្មៃ ទាស្យតិ;
"He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High. "And the Lord God will give him the throne of his forefather David,
"and he shall reign over the House of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." (aiōn g165)
34 តទា មរិយម៑ តំ ទូតំ ពភាឞេ នាហំ បុរុឞសង្គំ ករោមិ តហ៌ិ កថមេតត៑ សម្ភវិឞ្យតិ?
And Mary said to the angel. "How can this be? For I have no husband?"
35 តតោ ទូតោៜកថយត៑ បវិត្រ អាត្មា ត្វាមាឝ្រាយិឞ្យតិ តថា សវ៌្វឝ្រេឞ្ឋស្យ ឝក្តិស្តវោបរិ ឆាយាំ ករិឞ្យតិ តតោ ហេតោស្តវ គព៌្ភាទ៑ យះ បវិត្រពាលកោ ជនិឞ្យតេ ស ឦឝ្វរបុត្រ ឥតិ ខ្យាតិំ ប្រាប្ស្យតិ។
"The Holy Spirit shall come upon you," said the angel, "and the power of the most High shall overshadow you, and therefore the holy offspring which is born, shall be called the son of God.
36 អបរញ្ច បឝ្យ តវ ជ្ញាតិរិលីឝេវា យាំ សវ៌្វេ ពន្ធ្យាមវទន៑ ឥទានីំ សា វាទ៌្ធក្យេ សន្តានមេកំ គព៌្ភេៜធារយត៑ តស្យ ឞឞ្ឋមាសោភូត៑។
"And behold your kinswoman, Elizabeth, she also has conceived a son in her old age, and this was the sixth month with her that was called barren.
37 កិមបិ កម៌្ម នាសាធ្យម៑ ឦឝ្វរស្យ។
"For no word of God shall be void of power."
38 តទា មរិយម៑ ជគាទ, បឝ្យ ប្រភេរហំ ទាសី មហ្យំ តវ វាក្យានុសារេណ សវ៌្វមេតទ៑ ឃដតាម៑; អននតរំ ទូតស្តស្យាះ សមីបាត៑ ប្រតស្ថេ។
Then Mary said. "Behold I am Lord’s slave. Let it be to me as you have said." Then the angel departed from her.
39 អថ កតិបយទិនាត៑ បរំ មរិយម៑ តស្មាត៑ បវ៌្វតមយប្រទេឝីយយិហូទាយា នគរមេកំ ឝីឃ្រំ គត្វា
Soon after this Mary set out and hastened unto the hill-country to a town in Judah;
40 សិខរិយយាជកស្យ គ្ឫហំ ប្រវិឝ្យ តស្យ ជាយាម៑ ឥលីឝេវាំ សម្ពោធ្យាវទត៑។
and there she came into the house of Zachariah, and greeted Elizabeth.
41 តតោ មរិយមះ សម្ពោធនវាក្យេ ឥលីឝេវាយាះ កណ៌យោះ ប្រវិឞ្ដមាត្រេ សតិ តស្យា គព៌្ភស្ថពាលកោ ននត៌្ត។ តត ឥលីឝេវា បវិត្រេណាត្មនា បរិបូណ៌ា សតី
And when Elizabeth heard her salutation, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth herself was filled with the Holy Spirit,
42 ប្រោច្ចៃគ៌ទិតុមារេភេ, យោឞិតាំ មធ្យេ ត្វមេវ ធន្យា, តវ គព៌្ភស្ថះ ឝិឝុឝ្ច ធន្យះ។
and called out with a loud cry. "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is your unborn child!
43 ត្វំ ប្រភោម៌ាតា, មម និវេឝនេ ត្វយា ចរណាវប៌ិតៅ, មមាទ្យ សៅភាគ្យមេតត៑។
"But why is this honor done me, that the mother of my Lord should come me?
44 បឝ្យ តវ វាក្យេ មម កណ៌យោះ ប្រវិឞ្ដមាត្រេ សតិ មមោទរស្ថះ ឝិឝុរានន្ទាន៑ ននត៌្ត។
"For behold when the sound of your salutation reached my ears, the babe leaped with joy within my womb.
45 យា ស្ត្រី វ្យឝ្វសីត៑ សា ធន្យា, យតោ ហេតោស្តាំ ប្រតិ បរមេឝ្វរោក្តំ វាក្យំ សវ៌្វំ សិទ្ធំ ភវិឞ្យតិ។
"And blessed is she who believed that the Lord’s words spoken to her would be fulfilled."
46 តទានីំ មរិយម៑ ជគាទ។ ធន្យវាទំ បរេឝស្យ ករោតិ មាមកំ មនះ។
And Mary said. "My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 មមាត្មា តារកេឝេ ច សមុល្លាសំ ប្រគច្ឆតិ។
"My spirit exults in the God, who is my Saviour,
48 អករោត៑ ស ប្រភុ រ្ទុឞ្ដិំ ស្វទាស្យា ទុគ៌តិំ ប្រតិ។ បឝ្យាទ្យារភ្យ មាំ ធន្យាំ វក្ឞ្យន្តិ បុរុឞាះ សទា។
"For he has regarded the humiliation of his slave, And from this hour all ages will count me blessed.
49 យះ សវ៌្វឝក្តិមាន៑ យស្យ នាមាបិ ច បវិត្រកំ។ ស ឯវ សុមហត្កម៌្ម ក្ឫតវាន៑ មន្និមិត្តកំ។
"For he who is mighty has done great things for me; And holy is his name.
50 យេ ពិភ្យតិ ជនាស្តស្មាត៑ តេឞាំ សន្តានបំក្តិឞុ។ អនុកម្បា តទីយា ច សវ៌្វទៃវ សុតិឞ្ឋតិ។
"His mercy is unto generations and generations on those who reverence him.
51 ស្វពាហុពលតស្តេន ប្រាកាឝ្យត បរាក្រមះ។ មនះកុមន្ត្រណាសាទ៌្ធំ វិកីយ៌្យន្តេៜភិមានិនះ។
"He has showed strength with his arm. "He has scattered proud in the imagination of their hearts;
52 សិំហាសនគតាល្លោកាន៑ ពលិនឝ្ចាវរោហ្យ សះ។ បទេឞូច្ចេឞុ លោកាំស្តុ ក្ឞុទ្រាន៑ សំស្ថាបយត្យបិ។
"he has put down princes from their thrones, and has exalted those of low degree.
53 ក្ឞុធិតាន៑ មានវាន៑ ទ្រវ្យៃរុត្តមៃះ បរិតប៌្យ សះ។ សកលាន៑ ធនិនោ លោកាន៑ វិស្ឫជេទ៑ រិក្តហស្តកាន៑។
"The hungry he has filled with good things, But the rich he has sent empty away.
54 ឥព្រាហីមិ ច តទ្វំឝេ យា ទយាស្តិ សទៃវ តាំ។ ស្ម្ឫត្វា បុរា បិត្ឫណាំ នោ យថា សាក្ឞាត៑ ប្រតិឝ្រុតំ។ (aiōn g165)
"He has helped Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,
55 ឥស្រាយេល្សេវកស្តេន តថោបក្រិយតេ ស្វយំ៕
"As he spoke to our forefathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever." (aiōn g165)
56 អនន្តរំ មរិយម៑ ប្រាយេណ មាសត្រយម៑ ឥលីឝេវយា សហោឞិត្វា វ្យាឃុយ្យ និជនិវេឝនំ យយៅ។
So Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and returned home.
57 តទនន្តរម៑ ឥលីឝេវាយាះ ប្រសវកាល ឧបស្ថិតេ សតិ សា បុត្រំ ប្រាសោឞ្ដ។
Now when the time of Elizabeth’s delivery was come, she gave birth to a son;
58 តតះ បរមេឝ្វរស្តស្យាំ មហានុគ្រហំ ក្ឫតវាន៑ ឯតត៑ ឝ្រុត្វា សមីបវាសិនះ កុដុម្ពាឝ្ចាគត្យ តយា សហ មុមុទិរេ។
and her neighbors and kinsfolk heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy toward her; and they rejoiced with her,
59 តថាឞ្ដមេ ទិនេ តេ ពាលកស្យ ត្វចំ ឆេត្តុម៑ ឯត្យ តស្យ បិត្ឫនាមានុរូបំ តន្នាម សិខរិយ ឥតិ កត៌្តុមីឞុះ។
and came on the eighth day to circumcise the child. They were about to call him "Zachariah," after his father,
60 កិន្តុ តស្យ មាតាកថយត៑ តន្ន, នាមាស្យ យោហន៑ ឥតិ កត៌្តវ្យម៑។
when his mother said, "No, he is to be called John."
61 តទា តេ វ្យាហរន៑ តវ វំឝមធ្យេ នាមេទ្ឫឝំ កស្យាបិ នាស្តិ។
Said they, "You have no relatives of that name!"
62 តតះ បរំ តស្យ បិតរំ សិខរិយំ ប្រតិ សង្កេត្យ បប្រច្ឆុះ ឝិឝោះ កិំ នាម ការិឞ្យតេ?
Then they asked his father by signs what he wished to call the child.
63 តតះ ស ផលកមេកំ យាចិត្វា លិលេខ តស្យ នាម យោហន៑ ភវិឞ្យតិ។ តស្មាត៑ សវ៌្វេ អាឝ្ចយ៌្យំ មេនិរេ។
So he asked for a writing tablet and wrote down, "His name is John."
64 តត្ក្ឞណំ សិខរិយស្យ ជិហ្វាជាឌ្យេៜបគតេ ស មុខំ វ្យាទាយ ស្បឞ្ដវណ៌មុច្ចាយ៌្យ ឦឝ្វរស្យ គុណានុវាទំ ចការ។
Every one was surprised, and at once his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, blessing God.
65 តស្មាច្ចតុទ៌ិក្ស្ថាះ សមីបវាសិលោកា ភីតា ឯវមេតាះ សវ៌្វាះ កថា យិហូទាយាះ បវ៌្វតមយប្រទេឝស្យ សវ៌្វត្រ ប្រចារិតាះ។
And there came a great fear upon all in the neighborhood; and throughout the hill country of Judea all these sayings were much talked about.
66 តស្មាត៑ ឝ្រោតារោ មនះសុ ស្ថាបយិត្វា កថយាម្ពភូវុះ កីទ្ឫឝោយំ ពាលោ ភវិឞ្យតិ? អថ បរមេឝ្វរស្តស្យ សហាយោភូត៑។
All the story laid it up in their hearts, saying "What, then, will this child be?" For the Lord’s hands was with him.
67 តទា យោហនះ បិតា សិខរិយះ បវិត្រេណាត្មនា បរិបូណ៌ះ សន៑ ឯតាទ្ឫឝំ ភវិឞ្យទ្វាក្យំ កថយាមាស។
And his father, Zachariah, was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying.
68 ឥស្រាយេលះ ប្រភុ រ្យស្តុ ស ធន្យះ បរមេឝ្វរះ។ អនុគ្ឫហ្យ និជាល្លោកាន៑ ស ឯវ បរិមោចយេត៑។
"Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, For he has visited and redeemed his people,
69 វិបក្ឞជនហស្តេភ្យោ យថា មោច្យាមហេ វយំ។ យាវជ្ជីវញ្ច ធម៌្មេណ សារល្យេន ច និព៌្ហយាះ។
"And has raised up a mighty Deliverer for us In the house of his servant David,
70 សេវាមហៃ តមេវៃកម៑ ឯតត្ការណមេវ ច។ ស្វកីយំ សុបវិត្រញ្ច សំស្ម្ឫត្យ និយមំ សទា។
"As he spake by the mouth of his holy Prophets Which have been since the world began (aiōn g165)
71 ក្ឫបយា បុរុឞាន៑ បូវ៌្វាន៑ និកឞាត៌្ហាត្តុ នះ បិតុះ។ ឥព្រាហីមះ សមីបេ យំ ឝបថំ ក្ឫតវាន៑ បុរា។
To deliver us from our enemies, and from the power Of all who hate us.
72 តមេវ សផលំ កត៌្តំ តថា ឝត្រុគណស្យ ច។ ឫតីយាការិណឝ្ចៃវ ករេភ្យោ រក្ឞណាយ នះ។
"He showed mercy to our forefathers, He remembered his holy covenant,
"The oath which he swore to Abraham, our forefather,
74 យថោក្តវាន៑ តថា ស្វស្យ ទាយូទះ សេវកស្យ តុ។
"That he we should be delivered out of the Hand of our enemies, And should serve him without fear,
75 វំឝេ ត្រាតារមេកំ ស សមុត្បាទិតវាន៑ ស្វយម៑។
"In holiness and righteousness before him All our days.
76 អតោ ហេ ពាលក ត្វន្តុ សវ៌្វេភ្យះ ឝ្រេឞ្ឋ ឯវ យះ។ តស្យៃវ ភាវិវាទីតិ ប្រវិខ្យាតោ ភវិឞ្យសិ។ អស្មាកំ ចរណាន៑ ក្ឞេមេ មាគ៌េ ចាលយិតុំ សទា។ ឯវំ ធ្វាន្តេៜរ្ថតោ ម្ឫត្យោឝ្ឆាយាយាំ យេ តុ មានវាះ។
"And thou, child, shalt be called the Prophet of the Most High, For thou shalt go before the Lord to prepare the way
77 ឧបវិឞ្ដាស្តុ តានេវ ប្រកាឝយិតុមេវ ហិ។ ក្ឫត្វា មហានុកម្បាំ ហិ យាមេវ បរមេឝ្វរះ។
"To give to his people a knowledge of salvation Through the remission of their sins,
78 ឩទ៌្វ្វាត៑ សូយ៌្យមុទាយ្យៃវាស្មភ្យំ ប្រាទាត្តុ ទឝ៌នំ។ តយានុកម្បយា ស្វស្យ លោកានាំ បាបមោចនេ។
"Through the heart of mercy of our God, Whereby the Dayspring from on high shall visit us,
79 បរិត្រាណស្យ តេភ្យោ ហិ ជ្ញានវិឝ្រាណនាយ ច។ ប្រភោ រ្មាគ៌ំ បរិឞ្កត៌្តុំ តស្យាគ្រាយី ភវិឞ្យសិ៕
"To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, And to guide our feet into the paths of peace."
80 អថ ពាលកះ ឝរីរេណ ពុទ្ធ្យា ច វទ៌្ធិតុមារេភេ; អបរញ្ច ស ឥស្រាយេលោ វំឝីយលោកានាំ សមីបេ យាវន្ន ប្រកដីភូតស្តាស្តាវត៑ ប្រាន្តរេ ន្យវសត៑។
And the child grew, and became strong in the Spirit, and remained in the desert till the day of his showing to Israel.
