ಲೂಕಃ 8
1 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಯೀಶು ರ್ದ್ವಾದಶಭಿಃ ಶಿಷ್ಯೈಃ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ನಾನಾನಗರೇಷು ನಾನಾಗ್ರಾಮೇಷು ಚ ಗಚ್ಛನ್ ಇಶ್ವರೀಯರಾಜತ್ವಸ್ಯ ಸುಸಂವಾದಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಿತುಂ ಪ್ರಾರೇಭೇ|
AND it came to pass afterwards, that he went through every city and village, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God, and the twelve with him.
2 ತದಾ ಯಸ್ಯಾಃ ಸಪ್ತ ಭೂತಾ ನಿರಗಚ್ಛನ್ ಸಾ ಮಗ್ದಲೀನೀತಿ ವಿಖ್ಯಾತಾ ಮರಿಯಮ್ ಹೇರೋದ್ರಾಜಸ್ಯ ಗೃಹಾಧಿಪತೇಃ ಹೋಷೇ ರ್ಭಾರ್ಯ್ಯಾ ಯೋಹನಾ ಶೂಶಾನಾ
And certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and sicknesses, Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven devils had gone out.
3 ಪ್ರಭೃತಯೋ ಯಾ ಬಹ್ವ್ಯಃ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ದುಷ್ಟಭೂತೇಭ್ಯೋ ರೋಗೇಭ್ಯಶ್ಚ ಮುಕ್ತಾಃ ಸತ್ಯೋ ನಿಜವಿಭೂತೀ ರ್ವ್ಯಯಿತ್ವಾ ತಮಸೇವನ್ತ, ತಾಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಸ್ತೇನ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಮ್ ಆಸನ್|
And Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s lieutenant-governor, and Susanna, and many others, who ministred to his support out of their possessions.
4 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ನಾನಾನಗರೇಭ್ಯೋ ಬಹವೋ ಲೋಕಾ ಆಗತ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇಽಮಿಲನ್, ತದಾ ಸ ತೇಭ್ಯ ಏಕಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತಕಥಾಂ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸ| ಏಕಃ ಕೃಷೀಬಲೋ ಬೀಜಾನಿ ವಪ್ತುಂ ಬಹಿರ್ಜಗಾಮ,
Now when a vast multitude was collected, even those who came to him out of every city, he spake by a parable.
5 ತತೋ ವಪನಕಾಲೇ ಕತಿಪಯಾನಿ ಬೀಜಾನಿ ಮಾರ್ಗಪಾರ್ಶ್ವೇ ಪೇತುಃ, ತತಸ್ತಾನಿ ಪದತಲೈ ರ್ದಲಿತಾನಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಭಿ ರ್ಭಕ್ಷಿತಾನಿ ಚ|
A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell by the road side, and was trodden under foot, and the birds of the air devoured it up.
6 ಕತಿಪಯಾನಿ ಬೀಜಾನಿ ಪಾಷಾಣಸ್ಥಲೇ ಪತಿತಾನಿ ಯದ್ಯಪಿ ತಾನ್ಯಙ್ಕುರಿತಾನಿ ತಥಾಪಿ ರಸಾಭಾವಾತ್ ಶುಶುಷುಃ|
And other seed fell on a rock, and vegetating, withered because it had no moisture.
7 ಕತಿಪಯಾನಿ ಬೀಜಾನಿ ಕಣ್ಟಕಿವನಮಧ್ಯೇ ಪತಿತಾನಿ ತತಃ ಕಣ್ಟಕಿವನಾನಿ ಸಂವೃದ್ಧ್ಯ ತಾನಿ ಜಗ್ರಸುಃ|
And other seed fell amidst thorns, and the thorns springing up with it, choked it.
8 ತದನ್ಯಾನಿ ಕತಿಪಯಬೀಜಾನಿ ಚ ಭೂಮ್ಯಾಮುತ್ತಮಾಯಾಂ ಪೇತುಸ್ತತಸ್ತಾನ್ಯಙ್ಕುರಯಿತ್ವಾ ಶತಗುಣಾನಿ ಫಲಾನಿ ಫೇಲುಃ| ಸ ಇಮಾ ಕಥಾಂ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರೋಚ್ಚೈಃ ಪ್ರೋವಾಚ, ಯಸ್ಯ ಶ್ರೋತುಂ ಶ್ರೋತ್ರೇ ಸ್ತಃ ಸ ಶೃಣೋತು|
And some fell on good ground, and shooting up, produced fruit an hundred fold. So saying, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾಸ್ತಂ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛುರಸ್ಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತಸ್ಯ ಕಿಂ ತಾತ್ಪರ್ಯ್ಯಂ?
Then his disciples asked him, saying. What might this parable mean?
10 ತತಃ ಸ ವ್ಯಾಜಹಾರ, ಈಶ್ವರೀಯರಾಜ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಗುಹ್ಯಾನಿ ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ಯುಷ್ಮಭ್ಯಮಧಿಕಾರೋ ದೀಯತೇ ಕಿನ್ತ್ವನ್ಯೇ ಯಥಾ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾಪಿ ನ ಪಶ್ಯನ್ತಿ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾಪಿ ಮ ಬುಧ್ಯನ್ತೇ ಚ ತದರ್ಥಂ ತೇಷಾಂ ಪುರಸ್ತಾತ್ ತಾಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಃ ಕಥಾ ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತೇನ ಕಥ್ಯನ್ತೇ|
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables: that seeing they may not perceive, and hearing may not comprehend.
11 ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಯಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಃ, ಈಶ್ವರೀಯಕಥಾ ಬೀಜಸ್ವರೂಪಾ|
Now this is the parable: The seed is the word of God.
12 ಯೇ ಕಥಾಮಾತ್ರಂ ಶೃಣ್ವನ್ತಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಪಶ್ಚಾದ್ ವಿಶ್ವಸ್ಯ ಯಥಾ ಪರಿತ್ರಾಣಂ ನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ನುವನ್ತಿ ತದಾಶಯೇನ ಶೈತಾನೇತ್ಯ ಹೃದಯಾತೃ ತಾಂ ಕಥಾಮ್ ಅಪಹರತಿ ತ ಏವ ಮಾರ್ಗಪಾರ್ಶ್ವಸ್ಥಭೂಮಿಸ್ವರೂಪಾಃ|
They by the road side, are such as hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh the word from their heart, that they should not be saved in believing.
13 ಯೇ ಕಥಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಸಾನನ್ದಂ ಗೃಹ್ಲನ್ತಿ ಕಿನ್ತ್ವಬದ್ಧಮೂಲತ್ವಾತ್ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲಮಾತ್ರಂ ಪ್ರತೀತ್ಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾಕಾಲೇ ಭ್ರಶ್ಯನ್ತಿ ತಏವ ಪಾಷಾಣಭೂಮಿಸ್ವರೂಪಾಃ|
And they on the rock, are such as when they have heard, with joy embrace the word; and these have not root, who for a time believe, and in a season of trial apostasize.
14 ಯೇ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಯಾನ್ತಿ ವಿಷಯಚಿನ್ತಾಯಾಂ ಧನಲೋಭೇನ ಏಹಿಕಸುಖೇ ಚ ಮಜ್ಜನ್ತ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತಫಲಾನಿ ನ ಫಲನ್ತಿ ತ ಏವೋಪ್ತಬೀಜಕಣ್ಟಕಿಭೂಸ್ವರೂಪಾಃ|
And that which fell among thorns, are they having heard, and going away, are choked by the cares, and wealth, and pleasures of life, and bring forth no perfect fruit.
15 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯೇ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಸರಲೈಃ ಶುದ್ಧೈಶ್ಚಾನ್ತಃಕರಣೈಃ ಕಥಾಂ ಗೃಹ್ಲನ್ತಿ ಧೈರ್ಯ್ಯಮ್ ಅವಲಮ್ಬ್ಯ ಫಲಾನ್ಯುತ್ಪಾದಯನ್ತಿ ಚ ತ ಏವೋತ್ತಮಮೃತ್ಸ್ವರೂಪಾಃ|
But that on the good ground are they who having heard the word, retain it in a heart excellent and good, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಪ್ರದೀಪಂ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಾಲ್ಯ ಕೋಪಿ ಪಾತ್ರೇಣ ನಾಚ್ಛಾದಯತಿ ತಥಾ ಖಟ್ವಾಧೋಪಿ ನ ಸ್ಥಾಪಯತಿ, ಕಿನ್ತು ದೀಪಾಧಾರೋಪರ್ಯ್ಯೇವ ಸ್ಥಾಪಯತಿ, ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕಾ ದೀಪ್ತಿಂ ಪಶ್ಯನ್ತಿ|
No man lighting a lamp hides it with a cover, or putteth it under a bed, but on a stand, that they who are coming in, may see the light.
17 ಯನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಯಿಷ್ಯತೇ ತಾದೃಗ್ ಅಪ್ರಕಾಶಿತಂ ವಸ್ತು ಕಿಮಪಿ ನಾಸ್ತಿ ಯಚ್ಚ ನ ಸುವ್ಯಕ್ತಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಿಷ್ಯತೇ ತಾದೃಗ್ ಗೃಪ್ತಂ ವಸ್ತು ಕಿಮಪಿ ನಾಸ್ತಿ|
For there is nothing hid which shall not be made manifest, nor concealed, which shall not be known and brought to light.
18 ಅತೋ ಯೂಯಂ ಕೇನ ಪ್ರಕಾರೇಣ ಶೃಣುಥ ತತ್ರ ಸಾವಧಾನಾ ಭವತ, ಯಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಬರ್ದ್ಧತೇ ತಸ್ಮೈ ಪುನರ್ದಾಸ್ಯತೇ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯಸ್ಯಾಶ್ರಯೇ ನ ಬರ್ದ್ಧತೇ ತಸ್ಯ ಯದ್ಯದಸ್ತಿ ತದಪಿ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ನೇಷ್ಯತೇ|
Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, even what he seemeth to have shall be taken away from.
19 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಯೀಶೋ ರ್ಮಾತಾ ಭ್ರಾತರಶ್ಚ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಜಿಗಮಿಷವಃ
Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come near him because of the crowd.
20 ಕಿನ್ತು ಜನತಾಸಮ್ಬಾಧಾತ್ ತತ್ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತುಂ ನ ಶೇಕುಃ| ತತ್ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ತವ ಮಾತಾ ಭ್ರಾತರಶ್ಚ ತ್ವಾಂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ಚಿಕೀರ್ಷನ್ತೋ ಬಹಿಸ್ತಿಷ್ಠನತೀತಿ ವಾರ್ತ್ತಾಯಾಂ ತಸ್ಮೈ ಕಥಿತಾಯಾಂ
And it was told him, saying, Thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, desirous of seeing thee.
21 ಸ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುವಾಚ; ಯೇ ಜನಾ ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ತದನುರೂಪಮಾಚರನ್ತಿ ತಏವ ಮಮ ಮಾತಾ ಭ್ರಾತರಶ್ಚ|
Then he answered and said to them, My mother and my brethren are they, who hear the word of God, and practise it.
22 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಏಕದಾ ಯೀಶುಃ ಶಿಷ್ಯೈಃ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ನಾವಮಾರುಹ್ಯ ಜಗಾದ, ಆಯಾತ ವಯಂ ಹ್ರದಸ್ಯ ಪಾರಂ ಯಾಮಃ, ತತಸ್ತೇ ಜಗ್ಮುಃ|
And it came to pass on one of the days, that he went himself into a ship, and his disciples, and said unto them, Let us pass over to the farther side of the lake. And they set fail.
23 ತೇಷು ನೌಕಾಂ ವಾಹಯತ್ಸು ಸ ನಿದದ್ರೌ;
And while they were on the passage, he went to sleep: and a hurricane of wind rushed down on the lake; and they were filled with water, and imminent danger.
24 ಅಥಾಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಪ್ರಬಲಝಞ್ಭ್ಶಗಮಾದ್ ಹ್ರದೇ ನೌಕಾಯಾಂ ತರಙ್ಗೈರಾಚ್ಛನ್ನಾಯಾಂ ವಿಪತ್ ತಾನ್ ಜಗ್ರಾಸ| ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಯೀಶೋರನ್ತಿಕಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಹೇ ಗುರೋ ಹೇ ಗುರೋ ಪ್ರಾಣಾ ನೋ ಯಾನ್ತೀತಿ ಗದಿತ್ವಾ ತಂ ಜಾಗರಯಾಮ್ಬಭೂವುಃ| ತದಾ ಸ ಉತ್ಥಾಯ ವಾಯುಂ ತರಙ್ಗಾಂಶ್ಚ ತರ್ಜಯಾಮಾಸ ತಸ್ಮಾದುಭೌ ನಿವೃತ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿರೌ ಬಭೂವತುಃ|
Then they came and awoke him, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing. Then arising, he issued his command to the wind, and the billows of water, and they subsided, and there was a calm.
25 ಸ ತಾನ್ ಬಭಾಷೇ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಃ ಕ? ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ತೇ ಭೀತಾ ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಾಶ್ಚ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ಜಗದುಃ, ಅಹೋ ಕೀದೃಗಯಂ ಮನುಜಃ ಪವನಂ ಪಾನೀಯಞ್ಚಾದಿಶತಿ ತದುಭಯಂ ತದಾದೇಶಂ ವಹತಿ|
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they feared and were astonished, saying one to another, Well! what a man is this! that he commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey him.
26 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಪ್ರದೇಶಸ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮುಖಸ್ಥಗಿದೇರೀಯಪ್ರದೇಶೇ ನೌಕಾಯಾಂ ಲಗನ್ತ್ಯಾಂ ತಟೇಽವರೋಹಮಾವಾದ್
And they sailed over unto the region of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 ಬಹುತಿಥಕಾಲಂ ಭೂತಗ್ರಸ್ತ ಏಕೋ ಮಾನುಷಃ ಪುರಾದಾಗತ್ಯ ತಂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾಚ್ಚಕಾರ| ಸ ಮನುಷೋ ವಾಸೋ ನ ಪರಿದಧತ್ ಗೃಹೇ ಚ ನ ವಸನ್ ಕೇವಲಂ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಮ್ ಅಧ್ಯುವಾಸ|
And as he landed, there met him a certain man from the city, who had devils for a long while, and kept no clothes on him, and never abode in a house, but in the tombs.
28 ಸ ಯೀಶುಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವೈವ ಚೀಚ್ಛಬ್ದಂ ಚಕಾರ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮುಖೇ ಪತಿತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರೋಚ್ಚೈರ್ಜಗಾದ ಚ, ಹೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವಪ್ರಧಾನೇಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರ, ಮಯಾ ಸಹ ತವ ಕಃ ಸಮ್ಬನ್ಧಃ? ತ್ವಯಿ ವಿನಯಂ ಕರೋಮಿ ಮಾಂ ಮಾ ಯಾತಯ|
But when he saw Jesus, roaring out, he fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God Most High? I pray thee, torment me not.
29 ಯತಃ ಸ ತಂ ಮಾನುಷಂ ತ್ಯಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಯಾತುಮ್ ಅಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಮ್ ಆದಿದೇಶ; ಸ ಭೂತಸ್ತಂ ಮಾನುಷಮ್ ಅಸಕೃದ್ ದಧಾರ ತಸ್ಮಾಲ್ಲೋಕಾಃ ಶೃಙ್ಖಲೇನ ನಿಗಡೇನ ಚ ಬಬನ್ಧುಃ; ಸ ತದ್ ಭಂಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಭೂತವಶತ್ವಾತ್ ಮಧ್ಯೇಪ್ರಾನ್ತರಂ ಯಯೌ|
For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for many times it had seized on him; and though under a guard, and bound with chains and fetters; yet bursting the bonds, he was driven by the devil into the desert places.
30 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಂ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛ ತವ ಕಿನ್ನಾಮ? ಸ ಉವಾಚ, ಮಮ ನಾಮ ಬಾಹಿನೋ ಯತೋ ಬಹವೋ ಭೂತಾಸ್ತಮಾಶಿಶ್ರಿಯುಃ|
Then Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? and he said, Legion: for many devils were entered into him.
And he besought him that he would not order them to go into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 ತದಾ ಪರ್ವ್ವತೋಪರಿ ವರಾಹವ್ರಜಶ್ಚರತಿ ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಭೂತಾ ವಿನಯೇನ ಪ್ರೋಚುಃ, ಅಮುಂ ವರಾಹವ್ರಜಮ್ ಆಶ್ರಯಿತುಮ್ ಅಸ್ಮಾನ್ ಅನುಜಾನೀಹಿ; ತತಃ ಸೋನುಜಜ್ಞೌ|
Now a herd of many swine was there feeding on the mountain; and they besought him that he would permit them to enter into them. And he permitted them.
33 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಭೂತಾಸ್ತಂ ಮಾನುಷಂ ವಿಹಾಯ ವರಾಹವ್ರಜಮ್ ಆಶಿಶ್ರಿಯುಃ ವರಾಹವ್ರಜಾಶ್ಚ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ ಕಟಕೇನ ಧಾವನ್ತೋ ಹ್ರದೇ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ವಿಜೃಹುಃ|
Then the devils going out of the man, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down a precipice into the lake, and was suffocated.
34 ತದ್ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಶೂಕರರಕ್ಷಕಾಃ ಪಲಾಯಮಾನಾ ನಗರಂ ಗ್ರಾಮಞ್ಚ ಗತ್ವಾ ತತ್ಸರ್ವ್ವವೃತ್ತಾನ್ತಂ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
But when those who fed them saw what was done they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country places.
35 ತತಃ ಕಿಂ ವೃತ್ತಮ್ ಏತದ್ದರ್ಶನಾರ್ಥಂ ಲೋಕಾ ನಿರ್ಗತ್ಯ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಯಯುಃ, ತಂ ಮಾನುಷಂ ತ್ಯಕ್ತಭೂತಂ ಪರಿಹಿತವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾನುಷವದ್ ಯೀಶೋಶ್ಚರಣಸನ್ನಿಧೌ ಸೂಪವಿಶನ್ತಂ ವಿಲೋಕ್ಯ ಬಿಭ್ಯುಃ|
And they came out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man sitting, from whom the devils were gone out, clothed, and in his sound mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.
36 ಯೇ ಲೋಕಾಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಭೂತಗ್ರಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯಕರಣಂ ದದೃಶುಸ್ತೇ ತೇಭ್ಯಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವವೃತ್ತಾನ್ತಂ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
Then they also who had seen how the demoniac was recovered, told them.
37 ತದನನ್ತರಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಗಿದೇರೀಯಪ್ರದೇಶಸ್ಯ ಚತುರ್ದಿಕ್ಸ್ಥಾ ಬಹವೋ ಜನಾ ಅತಿತ್ರಸ್ತಾ ವಿನಯೇನ ತಂ ಜಗದುಃ, ಭವಾನ್ ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ನಿಕಟಾದ್ ವ್ರಜತು ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸ ನಾವಮಾರುಹ್ಯ ತತೋ ವ್ಯಾಘುಟ್ಯ ಜಗಾಮ|
And the whole multitude of the country around the Gadarenes, entreated him to depart from them; for they were seized with great terror: and he embarked on the vessel, and returned.
38 ತದಾನೀಂ ತ್ಯಕ್ತಭೂತಮನುಜಸ್ತೇನ ಸಹ ಸ್ಥಾತುಂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಯಾಞ್ಚಕ್ರೇ
And the man out of whom the devils had gone, besought him to be with him; but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 ಕಿನ್ತು ತದರ್ಥಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಃ ಕೀದೃಙ್ಮಹಾಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಕೃತವಾನ್ ಇತಿ ನಿವೇಶನಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪಯ, ಯೀಶುಃ ಕಥಾಮೇತಾಂ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ತಂ ವಿಸಸರ್ಜ| ತತಃ ಸ ವ್ರಜಿತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತದರ್ಥಂ ಯನ್ಮಹಾಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಚಕಾರ ತತ್ ಪುರಸ್ಯ ಸರ್ವ್ವತ್ರ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಯಿತುಂ ಪ್ರಾರೇಭೇ|
Return to thy house, and declare what things God hath done for thee. And he went away, and published through the whole city what things Jesus had done for him.
40 ಅಥ ಯೀಶೌ ಪರಾವೃತ್ಯಾಗತೇ ಲೋಕಾಸ್ತಂ ಆದರೇಣ ಜಗೃಹು ರ್ಯಸ್ಮಾತ್ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ತಮಪೇಕ್ಷಾಞ್ಚಕ್ರಿರೇ|
And it came to pass, when Jesus returned, the people welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 ತದನನ್ತರಂ ಯಾಯೀರ್ನಾಮ್ನೋ ಭಜನಗೇಹಸ್ಯೈಕೋಧಿಪ ಆಗತ್ಯ ಯೀಶೋಶ್ಚರಣಯೋಃ ಪತಿತ್ವಾ ಸ್ವನಿವೇಶನಾಗಮನಾರ್ಥಂ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ವಿನಯಂ ಚಕಾರ,
And, behold, there came a man whose name was Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and falling at the feet of Jesus, he entreated him to come to his house;
42 ಯತಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ದ್ವಾದಶವರ್ಷವಯಸ್ಕಾ ಕನ್ಯೈಕಾಸೀತ್ ಸಾ ಮೃತಕಲ್ಪಾಭವತ್| ತತಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಗಮನಕಾಲೇ ಮಾರ್ಗೇ ಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಮಹಾನ್ ಸಮಾಗಮೋ ಬಭೂವ|
for he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying: and as he was going, the multitude thronged him.
43 ದ್ವಾದಶವರ್ಷಾಣಿ ಪ್ರದರರೋಗಗ್ರಸ್ತಾ ನಾನಾ ವೈದ್ಯೈಶ್ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಿತಾ ಸರ್ವ್ವಸ್ವಂ ವ್ಯಯಿತ್ವಾಪಿ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯಂ ನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಾ ಯಾ ಯೋಷಿತ್ ಸಾ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಪಶ್ಚಾದಾಗತ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗ್ರನ್ಥಿಂ ಪಸ್ಪರ್ಶ|
And a woman, who had a flux of blood, for twelve years, who had spent all her substance on physicians, and could not get a cure from any;
44 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ ತಸ್ಯಾ ರಕ್ತಸ್ರಾವೋ ರುದ್ಧಃ|
coming behind him, touched the fringe of his garment; and instantly the flux of her blood stopped.
45 ತದಾನೀಂ ಯೀಶುರವದತ್ ಕೇನಾಹಂ ಸ್ಪೃಷ್ಟಃ? ತತೋಽನೇಕೈರನಙ್ಗೀಕೃತೇ ಪಿತರಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಸಙ್ಗಿನಶ್ಚಾವದನ್, ಹೇ ಗುರೋ ಲೋಕಾ ನಿಕಟಸ್ಥಾಃ ಸನ್ತಸ್ತವ ದೇಹೇ ಘರ್ಷಯನ್ತಿ, ತಥಾಪಿ ಕೇನಾಹಂ ಸ್ಪೃಷ್ಟಇತಿ ಭವಾನ್ ಕುತಃ ಪೃಚ್ಛತಿ?
And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all denied, Peter, and those who were with him, said, Master, the multitudes throng and press thee, and sayest thou, Who hath touched me?
46 ಯೀಶುಃ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸ, ಕೇನಾಪ್ಯಹಂ ಸ್ಪೃಷ್ಟೋ, ಯತೋ ಮತ್ತಃ ಶಕ್ತಿ ರ್ನಿರ್ಗತೇತಿ ಮಯಾ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಮಜ್ಞಾಯಿ|
Then said Jesus, Some person hath touched me, for I know that miraculous power is gone out from me.
47 ತದಾ ಸಾ ನಾರೀ ಸ್ವಯಂ ನ ಗುಪ್ತೇತಿ ವಿದಿತ್ವಾ ಕಮ್ಪಮಾನಾ ಸತೀ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮುಖೇ ಪಪಾತ; ಯೇನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತೇನ ತಂ ಪಸ್ಪರ್ಶ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಮಾತ್ರಾಚ್ಚ ಯೇನ ಪ್ರಕಾರೇಣ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಾಭವತ್ ತತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾದಾಚಖ್ಯೌ|
Then the woman seeing she was not hid, came trembling, and falling down before him, declared to him before all the people, for what cause she had touched him; and how she was cured instantaneously.
48 ತತಃ ಸ ತಾಂ ಜಗಾದ ಹೇ ಕನ್ಯೇ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರಾ ಭವ, ತವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಸ್ತ್ವಾಂ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಾಮ್ ಅಕಾರ್ಷೀತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಕ್ಷೇಮೇಣ ಯಾಹಿ|
Then he said unto her, Be of good cheer, daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace.
49 ಯೀಶೋರೇತದ್ವಾಕ್ಯವದನಕಾಲೇ ತಸ್ಯಾಧಿಪತೇ ರ್ನಿವೇಶನಾತ್ ಕಶ್ಚಿಲ್ಲೋಕ ಆಗತ್ಯ ತಂ ಬಭಾಷೇ, ತವ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಮೃತಾ ಗುರುಂ ಮಾ ಕ್ಲಿಶಾನ|
And while he was yet speaking, a person came to the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead, give the master no further trouble.
50 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯೀಶುಸ್ತದಾಕರ್ಣ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಂ ವ್ಯಾಜಹಾರ, ಮಾ ಭೈಷೀಃ ಕೇವಲಂ ವಿಶ್ವಸಿಹಿ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸಾ ಜೀವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
Then Jesus hearing it, addressed him, saying, Fear not, only believe, and she shall be saved.
51 ಅಥ ತಸ್ಯ ನಿವೇಶನೇ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತೇ ಸ ಪಿತರಂ ಯೋಹನಂ ಯಾಕೂಬಞ್ಚ ಕನ್ಯಾಯಾ ಮಾತರಂ ಪಿತರಞ್ಚ ವಿನಾ, ಅನ್ಯಂ ಕಞ್ಚನ ಪ್ರವೇಷ್ಟುಂ ವಾರಯಾಮಾಸ|
And entering into the house, he suffered no person to come in, but Peter, and James, and John, and the father and mother of the child.
52 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಯೇ ರುದನ್ತಿ ವಿಲಪನ್ತಿ ಚ ತಾನ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾನ್ ಜನಾನ್ ಉವಾಚ, ಯೂಯಂ ಮಾ ರೋದಿಷ್ಟ ಕನ್ಯಾ ನ ಮೃತಾ ನಿದ್ರಾತಿ|
Now all were weeping and lamenting her: and he said, Weep not, she is not dead, but asleep.
53 ಕಿನ್ತು ಸಾ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಂ ಮೃತೇತಿ ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ತೇ ತಮುಪಜಹಸುಃ|
And they derided him, for they knew that she was dead.
54 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಸ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾನ್ ಬಹಿಃ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಕನ್ಯಾಯಾಃ ಕರೌ ಧೃತ್ವಾಜುಹುವೇ, ಹೇ ಕನ್ಯೇ ತ್ವಮುತ್ತಿಷ್ಠ,
And he put them all without, and taking her by the hand, cried, saying, Maid, arise!
55 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಪ್ರಾಣೇಷು ಪುನರಾಗತೇಷು ಸಾ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಾದ್ ಉತ್ತಸ್ಯೌ| ತದಾನೀಂ ತಸ್ಯೈ ಕಿಞ್ಚಿದ್ ಭಕ್ಷ್ಯಂ ದಾತುಮ್ ಆದಿದೇಶ|
And her spirit returned, and she immediately arose; and he commanded to give her something to eat.
56 ತತಸ್ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಪಿತರೌ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಂ ಗತೌ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ತಾವಾದಿದೇಶ ಘಟನಾಯಾ ಏತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಕಥಾಂ ಕಸ್ಮೈಚಿದಪಿ ಮಾ ಕಥಯತಂ|
And her parents were struck with amazement. But he enjoined them to tell no man what was done.
