ಲೂಕಃ 4
1 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪವಿತ್ರೇಣಾತ್ಮನಾ ಪೂರ್ಣಃ ಸನ್ ಯರ್ದ್ದನನದ್ಯಾಃ ಪರಾವೃತ್ಯಾತ್ಮನಾ ಪ್ರಾನ್ತರಂ ನೀತಃ ಸನ್ ಚತ್ವಾರಿಂಶದ್ದಿನಾನಿ ಯಾವತ್ ಶೈತಾನಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿತೋಽಭೂತ್,
And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness
2 ಕಿಞ್ಚ ತಾನಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವದಿನಾನಿ ಭೋಜನಂ ವಿನಾ ಸ್ಥಿತತ್ವಾತ್ ಕಾಲೇ ಪೂರ್ಣೇ ಸ ಕ್ಷುಧಿತವಾನ್|
during forty days, being tempted of the devil. And he did eat nothing in those days: and when they were completed, he hungered.
3 ತತಃ ಶೈತಾನಾಗತ್ಯ ತಮವದತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಚೇದೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತರಾನೇತಾನ್ ಆಜ್ಞಯಾ ಪೂಪಾನ್ ಕುರು|
And the devil said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread.
4 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುರುವಾಚ, ಲಿಪಿರೀದೃಶೀ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ ಮನುಜಃ ಕೇವಲೇನ ಪೂಪೇನ ನ ಜೀವತಿ ಕಿನ್ತ್ವೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಭಿರಾಜ್ಞಾಭಿ ರ್ಜೀವತಿ|
And Jesus answered unto him, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone.
5 ತದಾ ಶೈತಾನ್ ತಮುಚ್ಚಂ ಪರ್ವ್ವತಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ನಿಮಿಷೈಕಮಧ್ಯೇ ಜಗತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವರಾಜ್ಯಾನಿ ದರ್ಶಿತವಾನ್|
And he led him up, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ತಮವಾದೀತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮ್ ಏತದ್ ವಿಭವಂ ಪ್ರತಾಪಞ್ಚ ತುಭ್ಯಂ ದಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿ ತನ್ ಮಯಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತಮಾಸ್ತೇ ಯಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಮೇಚ್ಛಾ ಜಾಯತೇ ತಸ್ಮೈ ದಾತುಂ ಶಕ್ನೋಮಿ,
And the devil said unto him, To thee will I give all this authority, and the glory of them: for it hath been delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 ತ್ವಂ ಚೇನ್ಮಾಂ ಭಜಸೇ ತರ್ಹಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮೇತತ್ ತವೈವ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
If thou therefore wilt worship before me, it shall all be thine.
8 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತವಾನ್ ದೂರೀ ಭವ ಶೈತಾನ್ ಲಿಪಿರಾಸ್ತೇ, ನಿಜಂ ಪ್ರಭುಂ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಂ ಭಜಸ್ವ ಕೇವಲಂ ತಮೇವ ಸೇವಸ್ವ ಚ|
And Jesus answered and said unto him, It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9 ಅಥ ಶೈತಾನ್ ತಂ ಯಿರೂಶಾಲಮಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ಮನ್ದಿರಸ್ಯ ಚೂಡಾಯಾ ಉಪರಿ ಸಮುಪವೇಶ್ಯ ಜಗಾದ ತ್ವಂ ಚೇದೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಾದಿತೋ ಲಮ್ಫಿತ್ವಾಧಃ
And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 ಪತ ಯತೋ ಲಿಪಿರಾಸ್ತೇ, ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯಿಷ್ಯತಿ ಸ್ವೀಯಾನ್ ದೂತಾನ್ ಸ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಃ|
for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to guard thee:
11 ರಕ್ಷಿತುಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮಾರ್ಗೇ ತ್ವಾಂ ತೇನ ತ್ವಚ್ಚರಣೇ ಯಥಾ| ನ ಲಗೇತ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ತರಾಘಾತಸ್ತ್ವಾಂ ಧರಿಷ್ಯನ್ತಿ ತೇ ತಥಾ|
and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುನಾ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತಮ್ ಇದಮಪ್ಯುಕ್ತಮಸ್ತಿ ತ್ವಂ ಸ್ವಪ್ರಭುಂ ಪರೇಶಂ ಮಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಸ್ವ|
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಶೈತಾನ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಪರೀಕ್ಷಾಂ ಸಮಾಪ್ಯ ಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ತಂ ತ್ಯಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಯಯೌ|
And when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him for a season.
14 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುರಾತ್ಮಪ್ರಭಾವಾತ್ ಪುನರ್ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಪ್ರದೇಶಂ ಗತಸ್ತದಾ ತತ್ಸುಖ್ಯಾತಿಶ್ಚತುರ್ದಿಶಂ ವ್ಯಾನಶೇ|
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and a fame went out concerning him through all the region round about.
15 ಸ ತೇಷಾಂ ಭಜನಗೃಹೇಷು ಉಪದಿಶ್ಯ ಸರ್ವ್ವೈಃ ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿತೋ ಬಭೂವ|
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 ಅಥ ಸ ಸ್ವಪಾಲನಸ್ಥಾನಂ ನಾಸರತ್ಪುರಮೇತ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮವಾರೇ ಸ್ವಾಚಾರಾದ್ ಭಜನಗೇಹಂ ಪ್ರವಿಶ್ಯ ಪಠಿತುಮುತ್ತಸ್ಥೌ|
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 ತತೋ ಯಿಶಯಿಯಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದಿನಃ ಪುಸ್ತಕೇ ತಸ್ಯ ಕರದತ್ತೇ ಸತಿ ಸ ತತ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕಂ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ಯ್ಯ ಯತ್ರ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಣಾನಿ ವಚನಾನಿ ಸನ್ತಿ ತತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಪಪಾಠ|
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And he opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
18 ಆತ್ಮಾ ತು ಪರಮೇಶಸ್ಯ ಮದೀಯೋಪರಿ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ| ದರಿದ್ರೇಷು ಸುಸಂವಾದಂ ವಕ್ತುಂ ಮಾಂ ಸೋಭಿಷಿಕ್ತವಾನ್| ಭಗ್ನಾನ್ತಃ ಕರಣಾಲ್ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಸುಸ್ವಸ್ಥಾನ್ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಮೇವ ಚ| ಬನ್ದೀಕೃತೇಷು ಲೋಕೇಷು ಮುಕ್ತೇ ರ್ಘೋಷಯಿತುಂ ವಚಃ| ನೇತ್ರಾಣಿ ದಾತುಮನ್ಧೇಭ್ಯಸ್ತ್ರಾತುಂ ಬದ್ಧಜನಾನಪಿ|
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 ಪರೇಶಾನುಗ್ರಹೇ ಕಾಲಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಿತುಮೇವ ಚ| ಸರ್ವ್ವೈತತ್ಕರಣಾರ್ಥಾಯ ಮಾಮೇವ ಪ್ರಹಿಣೋತಿ ಸಃ||
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 ತತಃ ಪುಸ್ತಕಂ ಬದ್ವ್ವಾ ಪರಿಚಾರಕಸ್ಯ ಹಸ್ತೇ ಸಮರ್ಪ್ಯ ಚಾಸನೇ ಸಮುಪವಿಷ್ಟಃ, ತತೋ ಭಜನಗೃಹೇ ಯಾವನ್ತೋ ಲೋಕಾ ಆಸನ್ ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇಽನನ್ಯದೃಷ್ಟ್ಯಾ ತಂ ವಿಲುಲೋಕಿರೇ|
And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 ಅನನ್ತರಮ್ ಅದ್ಯೈತಾನಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಣಿ ಲಿಖಿತವಚನಾನಿ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಸಿದ್ಧಾನಿ ಸ ಇಮಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ತೇಭ್ಯಃ ಕಥಯಿತುಮಾರೇಭೇ|
And he began to say unto them, Today hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
22 ತತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಅನ್ವರಜ್ಯನ್ತ, ಕಿಞ್ಚ ತಸ್ಯ ಮುಖಾನ್ನಿರ್ಗತಾಭಿರನುಗ್ರಹಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾಭಿಶ್ಚಮತ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸುಃ ಕಿಮಯಂ ಯೂಷಫಃ ಪುತ್ರೋ ನ?
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth: and they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
23 ತದಾ ಸೋಽವಾದೀದ್ ಹೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕ ಸ್ವಮೇವ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಂ ಕುರು ಕಫರ್ನಾಹೂಮಿ ಯದ್ಯತ್ ಕೃತವಾನ್ ತದಶ್ರೌಷ್ಮ ತಾಃ ಸರ್ವಾಃ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಅತ್ರ ಸ್ವದೇಶೇ ಕುರು ಕಥಾಮೇತಾಂ ಯೂಯಮೇವಾವಶ್ಯಂ ಮಾಂ ವದಿಷ್ಯಥ|
And he said unto them, Doubtless ye will say unto me this parable, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in thine own country.
24 ಪುನಃ ಸೋವಾದೀದ್ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನಹಂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಂ ವದಾಮಿ, ಕೋಪಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದೀ ಸ್ವದೇಶೇ ಸತ್ಕಾರಂ ನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ನೋತಿ|
And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.
25 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಂ ವಚ್ಮಿ, ಏಲಿಯಸ್ಯ ಜೀವನಕಾಲೇ ಯದಾ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧತ್ರಿತಯವರ್ಷಾಣಿ ಯಾವತ್ ಜಲದಪ್ರತಿಬನ್ಧಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಸ್ಮಿನ್ ದೇಶೇ ಮಹಾದುರ್ಭಿಕ್ಷಮ್ ಅಜನಿಷ್ಟ ತದಾನೀಮ್ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೋ ದೇಶಸ್ಯ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಬಹ್ವ್ಯೋ ವಿಧವಾ ಆಸನ್,
But of a truth I say unto you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine over all the land;
26 ಕಿನ್ತು ಸೀದೋನ್ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯಸಾರಿಫತ್ಪುರನಿವಾಸಿನೀಮ್ ಏಕಾಂ ವಿಧವಾಂ ವಿನಾ ಕಸ್ಯಾಶ್ಚಿದಪಿ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಏಲಿಯಃ ಪ್ರೇರಿತೋ ನಾಭೂತ್|
and unto none of them was Elijah sent, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಇಲೀಶಾಯಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದಿವಿದ್ಯಮಾನತಾಕಾಲೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ದೇಶೇ ಬಹವಃ ಕುಷ್ಠಿನ ಆಸನ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸುರೀಯದೇಶೀಯಂ ನಾಮಾನ್ಕುಷ್ಠಿನಂ ವಿನಾ ಕೋಪ್ಯನ್ಯಃ ಪರಿಷ್ಕೃತೋ ನಾಭೂತ್|
And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.
28 ಇಮಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಭಜನಗೇಹಸ್ಥಿತಾ ಲೋಕಾಃ ಸಕ್ರೋಧಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಾಯ
And they were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things;
29 ನಗರಾತ್ತಂ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಯಸ್ಯ ಶಿಖರಿಣ ಉಪರಿ ತೇಷಾಂ ನಗರಂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತಮಾಸ್ತೇ ತಸ್ಮಾನ್ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪ್ತುಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಶಿಖರಂ ತಂ ನಿನ್ಯುಃ
and they rose up, and cast him forth out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.
30 ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ತೇಷಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯಾದಪಸೃತ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾನಾನ್ತರಂ ಜಗಾಮ|
But he passing through the midst of them went his way.
31 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಯೀಶುರ್ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯಕಫರ್ನಾಹೂಮ್ನಗರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮವಾರೇ ಲೋಕಾನುಪದೇಷ್ಟುಮ್ ಆರಬ್ಧವಾನ್|
And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the sabbath day:
32 ತದುಪದೇಶಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಚಮಚ್ಚಕ್ರು ರ್ಯತಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾ ಗುರುತರಾ ಆಸನ್|
and they were astonished at his teaching; for his word was with authority.
33 ತದಾನೀಂ ತದ್ಭಜನಗೇಹಸ್ಥಿತೋಽಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಗ್ರಸ್ತ ಏಕೋ ಜನ ಉಚ್ಚೈಃ ಕಥಯಾಮಾಸ,
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil; and he cried out with a loud voice,
34 ಹೇ ನಾಸರತೀಯಯೀಶೋಽಸ್ಮಾನ್ ತ್ಯಜ, ತ್ವಯಾ ಸಹಾಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಕಃ ಸಮ್ಬನ್ಧಃ? ಕಿಮಸ್ಮಾನ್ ವಿನಾಶಯಿತುಮಾಯಾಸಿ? ತ್ವಮೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪವಿತ್ರೋ ಜನ ಏತದಹಂ ಜಾನಾಮಿ|
Ah! what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
35 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಂ ತರ್ಜಯಿತ್ವಾವದತ್ ಮೌನೀ ಭವ ಇತೋ ಬಹಿರ್ಭವ; ತತಃ ಸೋಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಸ್ತಂ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನೇ ಪಾತಯಿತ್ವಾ ಕಿಞ್ಚಿದಪ್ಯಹಿಂಸಿತ್ವಾ ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಬಹಿರ್ಗತವಾನ್|
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him, having done him no hurt.
36 ತತಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಲೋಕಾಶ್ಚಮತ್ಕೃತ್ಯ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ವಕ್ತುಮಾರೇಭಿರೇ ಕೋಯಂ ಚಮತ್ಕಾರಃ| ಏಷ ಪ್ರಭಾವೇಣ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಚಾಮೇಧ್ಯಭೂತಾನ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯತಿ ತೇನೈವ ತೇ ಬಹಿರ್ಗಚ್ಛನ್ತಿ|
And amazement came upon all, and they spake together, one with another, saying, What is this word? for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಚತುರ್ದಿಕ್ಸ್ಥದೇಶಾನ್ ತಸ್ಯ ಸುಖ್ಯಾತಿರ್ವ್ಯಾಪ್ನೋತ್|
And there went forth a rumour concerning him into every place of the region round about.
38 ತದನನ್ತರಂ ಸ ಭಜನಗೇಹಾದ್ ಬಹಿರಾಗತ್ಯ ಶಿಮೋನೋ ನಿವೇಶನಂ ಪ್ರವಿವೇಶ ತದಾ ತಸ್ಯ ಶ್ವಶ್ರೂರ್ಜ್ವರೇಣಾತ್ಯನ್ತಂ ಪೀಡಿತಾಸೀತ್ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾಸ್ತದರ್ಥಂ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ವಿನಯಂ ಚಕ್ರುಃ|
And he rose up from the synagogue, and entered into the house of Simon. And Simon’s wife’s mother was holden with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
39 ತತಃ ಸ ತಸ್ಯಾಃ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಸ್ಥಿತ್ವಾ ಜ್ವರಂ ತರ್ಜಯಾಮಾಸ ತೇನೈವ ತಾಂ ಜ್ವರೋಽತ್ಯಾಕ್ಷೀತ್ ತತಃ ಸಾ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಾಯ ತಾನ್ ಸಿಷೇವೇ|
And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she rose up and ministered unto them.
40 ಅಥ ಸೂರ್ಯ್ಯಾಸ್ತಕಾಲೇ ಸ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಯೇ ಯೇ ಜನಾ ನಾನಾರೋಗೈಃ ಪೀಡಿತಾ ಆಸನ್ ಲೋಕಾಸ್ತಾನ್ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಸಮೀಪಮ್ ಆನಿನ್ಯುಃ, ತದಾ ಸ ಏಕೈಕಸ್ಯ ಗಾತ್ರೇ ಕರಮರ್ಪಯಿತ್ವಾ ತಾನರೋಗಾನ್ ಚಕಾರ|
And when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 ತತೋ ಭೂತಾ ಬಹುಭ್ಯೋ ನಿರ್ಗತ್ಯ ಚೀತ್ಶಬ್ದಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಚ ಬಭಾಷಿರೇ ತ್ವಮೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರೋಽಭಿಷಿಕ್ತತ್ರಾತಾ; ಕಿನ್ತು ಸೋಭಿಷಿಕ್ತತ್ರಾತೇತಿ ತೇ ವಿವಿದುರೇತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಕಾರಣಾತ್ ತಾನ್ ತರ್ಜಯಿತ್ವಾ ತದ್ವಕ್ತುಂ ನಿಷಿಷೇಧ|
And devils also came out from many, crying out, and saying, Thou art the Son of God. And rebuking them, he suffered them not to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
42 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಪ್ರಭಾತೇ ಸತಿ ಸ ವಿಜನಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಪ್ರತಸ್ಥೇ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಜನಾಸ್ತಮನ್ವಿಚ್ಛನ್ತಸ್ತನ್ನಿಕಟಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಸ್ಥಾನಾನ್ತರಗಮನಾರ್ಥಂ ತಮನ್ವರುನ್ಧನ್|
And when it was day, he came out and went into a desert place: and the multitudes sought after him, and came unto him, and would have stayed him, that he should not go from them.
43 ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ತಾನ್ ಜಗಾದ, ಈಶ್ವರೀಯರಾಜ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಸುಸಂವಾದಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಿತುಮ್ ಅನ್ಯಾನಿ ಪುರಾಣ್ಯಪಿ ಮಯಾ ಯಾತವ್ಯಾನಿ ಯತಸ್ತದರ್ಥಮೇವ ಪ್ರೇರಿತೋಹಂ|
But he said unto them, I must preach the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also: for therefore was I sent.
44 ಅಥ ಗಾಲೀಲೋ ಭಜನಗೇಹೇಷು ಸ ಉಪದಿದೇಶ|
And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
