ಲೂಕಃ 20
1 ಅಥೈಕದಾ ಯೀಶು ರ್ಮನಿದರೇ ಸುಸಂವಾದಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯನ್ ಲೋಕಾನುಪದಿಶತಿ, ಏತರ್ಹಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾಃ ಪ್ರಾಞ್ಚಶ್ಚ ತನ್ನಿಕಟಮಾಗತ್ಯ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛುಃ
AND it was on one of the days, while he taught the people in the temple and evangelized, the chief priests and scribes with the elders rose up against him,
2 ಕಯಾಜ್ಞಯಾ ತ್ವಂ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮಾಣ್ಯೇತಾನಿ ಕರೋಷಿ? ಕೋ ವಾ ತ್ವಾಮಾಜ್ಞಾಪಯತ್? ತದಸ್ಮಾನ್ ವದ|
and said to him, Tell us by what authority thou doest these, and who is he who gave thee this authority?
3 ಸ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುವಾಚ, ತರ್ಹಿ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನಪಿ ಕಥಾಮೇಕಾಂ ಪೃಚ್ಛಾಮಿ ತಸ್ಯೋತ್ತರಂ ವದತ|
Jeshu answered and said to them, I will also ask of you a word, and tell you me:
4 ಯೋಹನೋ ಮಜ್ಜನಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಮಾನುಷಾಣಾಂ ವಾಜ್ಞಾತೋ ಜಾತಂ?
the baptism of Juchanon, from heaven was it, or from the sons of men?
5 ತತಸ್ತೇ ಮಿಥೋ ವಿವಿಚ್ಯ ಜಗದುಃ, ಯದೀಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ವದಾಮಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ತಂ ಕುತೋ ನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೈತ ಸ ಇತಿ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯತಿ|
But they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven, he saith to us, Why did you not believe him?
6 ಯದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯಸ್ಯೇತಿ ವದಾಮಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಲೋಕಾ ಅಸ್ಮಾನ್ ಪಾಷಾಣೈ ರ್ಹನಿಷ್ಯನ್ತಿ ಯತೋ ಯೋಹನ್ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ್ವಾದೀತಿ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ದೃಢಂ ಜಾನನ್ತಿ|
But if we shall say, From men, all the people will stone us; for they are persuaded that Juchanon was a prophet.
7 ಅತಏವ ತೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೂಚುಃ ಕಸ್ಯಾಜ್ಞಯಾ ಜಾತಮ್ ಇತಿ ವಕ್ತುಂ ನ ಶಕ್ನುಮಃ|
And they said to him, We know not from whence it is.
8 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುರವದತ್ ತರ್ಹಿ ಕಯಾಜ್ಞಯಾ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮಾಣ್ಯೇತಾತಿ ಕರೋಮೀತಿ ಚ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನ್ ನ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ|
Jeshu saith to them, Nor tell I you by what authority I do these.
9 ಅಥ ಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ಸ ಇಮಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತಕಥಾಂ ವಕ್ತುಮಾರೇಭೇ, ಕಶ್ಚಿದ್ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ತತ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಂ ಕೃಷೀವಲಾನಾಂ ಹಸ್ತೇಷು ಸಮರ್ಪ್ಯ ಬಹುಕಾಲಾರ್ಥಂ ದೂರದೇಶಂ ಜಗಾಮ|
And he began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vinery, and let it to husbandmen, and removed for a great time.
10 ಅಥ ಫಲಕಾಲೇ ಫಲಾನಿ ಗ್ರಹೀತು ಕೃಷೀವಲಾನಾಂ ಸಮೀಪೇ ದಾಸಂ ಪ್ರಾಹಿಣೋತ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಕೃಷೀವಲಾಸ್ತಂ ಪ್ರಹೃತ್ಯ ರಿಕ್ತಹಸ್ತಂ ವಿಸಸರ್ಜುಃ|
And at the season he sent his servant to the husbandmen that they should give him of the fruit of the vinery. But the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 ತತಃ ಸೋಧಿಪತಿಃ ಪುನರನ್ಯಂ ದಾಸಂ ಪ್ರೇಷಯಾಮಾಸ, ತೇ ತಮಪಿ ಪ್ರಹೃತ್ಯ ಕುವ್ಯವಹೃತ್ಯ ರಿಕ್ತಹಸ್ತಂ ವಿಸಸೃಜುಃ|
And he added and sent another servant; but they beat him also, and maltreated him, and sent him away empty.
12 ತತಃ ಸ ತೃತೀಯವಾರಮ್ ಅನ್ಯಂ ಪ್ರಾಹಿಣೋತ್ ತೇ ತಮಪಿ ಕ್ಷತಾಙ್ಗಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಬಹಿ ರ್ನಿಚಿಕ್ಷಿಪುಃ|
And he added and sent a third; but they also wounded him, and cast him out.
13 ತದಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಪತಿ ರ್ವಿಚಾರಯಾಮಾಸ, ಮಮೇದಾನೀಂ ಕಿಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಂ? ಮಮ ಪ್ರಿಯೇ ಪುತ್ರೇ ಪ್ರಹಿತೇ ತೇ ತಮವಶ್ಯಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಸಮಾದರಿಷ್ಯನ್ತೇ|
The lord of the vinery saith, What shall I do? I will send my son, the beloved; now will they see him and reverence him.
14 ಕಿನ್ತು ಕೃಷೀವಲಾಸ್ತಂ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ವಿವಿಚ್ಯ ಪ್ರೋಚುಃ, ಅಯಮುತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರೀ ಆಗಚ್ಛತೈನಂ ಹನ್ಮಸ್ತತೋಧಿಕಾರೋಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
15 ತತಸ್ತೇ ತಂ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಾದ್ ಬಹಿ ರ್ನಿಪಾತ್ಯ ಜಘ್ನುಸ್ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಪತಿಸ್ತಾನ್ ಪ್ರತಿ ಕಿಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯತಿ?
And they cast him out of the vinery, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vinery do to them?
16 ಸ ಆಗತ್ಯ ತಾನ್ ಕೃಷೀವಲಾನ್ ಹತ್ವಾ ಪರೇಷಾಂ ಹಸ್ತೇಷು ತತ್ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಂ ಸಮರ್ಪಯಿಷ್ಯತಿ; ಇತಿ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ತೇ ಽವದನ್ ಏತಾದೃಶೀ ಘಟನಾ ನ ಭವತು|
He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will give the vinery to others. But when they heard, they said, May this not be!
17 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಾನವಲೋಕ್ಯ ಜಗಾದ, ತರ್ಹಿ, ಸ್ಥಪತಯಃ ಕರಿಷ್ಯನ್ತಿ ಗ್ರಾವಾಣಂ ಯನ್ತು ತುಚ್ಛಕಂ| ಪ್ರಧಾನಪ್ರಸ್ತರಃ ಕೋಣೇ ಸ ಏವ ಹಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ| ಏತಸ್ಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯವಚನಸ್ಯ ಕಿಂ ತಾತ್ಪರ್ಯ್ಯಂ?
But he beheld them, and said, And what is that which is written, The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner?
18 ಅಪರಂ ತತ್ಪಾಷಾಣೋಪರಿ ಯಃ ಪತಿಷ್ಯತಿ ಸ ಭಂಕ್ಷ್ಯತೇ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯಸ್ಯೋಪರಿ ಸ ಪಾಷಾಣಃ ಪತಿಷ್ಯತಿ ಸ ತೇನ ಧೂಲಿವಚ್ ಚೂರ್ಣೀಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
And every one who shall fall upon this stone shall be broken; and every one on whom it shall fall it will scatter him.
19 ಸೋಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ವಿರುದ್ಧಂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತಮಿಮಂ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್ ಇತಿ ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾಶ್ಚ ತದೈವ ತಂ ಧರ್ತುಂ ವವಾಞ್ಛುಃ ಕಿನ್ತು ಲೋಕೇಭ್ಯೋ ಬಿಭ್ಯುಃ|
But the chief priests and Sophree sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; but they feared the people, for they knew that concerning them(selves) he had spoken this parable.
20 ಅತಏವ ತಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸತರ್ಕಾಃ ಸನ್ತಃ ಕಥಂ ತದ್ವಾಕ್ಯದೋಷಂ ಧೃತ್ವಾ ತಂ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪಸ್ಯ ಸಾಧುವೇಶಧಾರಿಣಶ್ಚರಾನ್ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಪ್ರೇಷಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
And they sent to him spies, who should resemble just men, that they might take him in discourse, and deliver him to the judgment and to the authority of the governor.
21 ತದಾ ತೇ ತಂ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛುಃ, ಹೇ ಉಪದೇಶಕ ಭವಾನ್ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಂ ಕಥಯನ್ ಉಪದಿಶತಿ, ಕಮಪ್ಯನಪೇಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸತ್ಯತ್ವೇನೈಶ್ವರಂ ಮಾರ್ಗಮುಪದಿಶತಿ, ವಯಮೇತಜ್ಜಾನೀಮಃ|
And they asked him, and said to him, Doctor, we know that thou speakest and teachest rightly, neither dost thou deceive, but with integrity thou teachest the way of Aloha.
22 ಕೈಸರರಾಜಾಯ ಕರೋಸ್ಮಾಭಿ ರ್ದೇಯೋ ನ ವಾ?
Is it lawful for us to give head-silver to Cesar or not?
23 ಸ ತೇಷಾಂ ವಞ್ಚನಂ ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾವದತ್ ಕುತೋ ಮಾಂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಧ್ವೇ? ಮಾಂ ಮುದ್ರಾಮೇಕಂ ದರ್ಶಯತ|
But he understood their subtilty, and said, Why tempt you me?
24 ಇಹ ಲಿಖಿತಾ ಮೂರ್ತಿರಿಯಂ ನಾಮ ಚ ಕಸ್ಯ? ತೇಽವದನ್ ಕೈಸರಸ್ಯ|
Show me a dinara. Of whom upon it is the image and the inscription? But they said, Of Cesar.
25 ತದಾ ಸ ಉವಾಚ, ತರ್ಹಿ ಕೈಸರಸ್ಯ ದ್ರವ್ಯಂ ಕೈಸರಾಯ ದತ್ತ; ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ತು ದ್ರವ್ಯಮೀಶ್ವರಾಯ ದತ್ತ|
Jeshu saith to them, Give then of Cesar's to Cesar, and of Aloha's unto Aloha.
26 ತಸ್ಮಾಲ್ಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ತತ್ಕಥಾಯಾಃ ಕಮಪಿ ದೋಷಂ ಧರ್ತುಮಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ತೇ ತಸ್ಯೋತ್ತರಾದ್ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ್ಯಂ ಮನ್ಯಮಾನಾ ಮೌನಿನಸ್ತಸ್ಥುಃ|
And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and they wondered at his answer, and were silent.
27 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾದುತ್ಥಾನಾನಙ್ಗೀಕಾರಿಣಾಂ ಸಿದೂಕಿನಾಂ ಕಿಯನ್ತೋ ಜನಾ ಆಗತ್ಯ ತಂ ಪಪ್ರಚ್ಛುಃ,
BUT some of the Zadukoyee approached, they who say that there is no resurrection;
28 ಹೇ ಉಪದೇಶಕ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೇ ಮೂಸಾ ಅಸ್ಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರತೀತಿ ಲಿಲೇಖ ಯಸ್ಯ ಭ್ರಾತಾ ಭಾರ್ಯ್ಯಾಯಾಂ ಸತ್ಯಾಂ ನಿಃಸನ್ತಾನೋ ಮ್ರಿಯತೇ ಸ ತಜ್ಜಾಯಾಂ ವಿವಹ್ಯ ತದ್ವಂಶಮ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದಯಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
and they questioned him, and said to him, Doctor, Musha wrote to us that if a man's brother die having a wife who hath not children, his brother shall take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 ತಥಾಚ ಕೇಚಿತ್ ಸಪ್ತ ಭ್ರಾತರ ಆಸನ್ ತೇಷಾಂ ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠೋ ಭ್ರಾತಾ ವಿವಹ್ಯ ನಿರಪತ್ಯಃ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ಜಹೌ|
But there were seven brethren; and the first took; a wife, and died without children.
30 ಅಥ ದ್ವಿತೀಯಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಜಾಯಾಂ ವಿವಹ್ಯ ನಿರಪತ್ಯಃ ಸನ್ ಮಮಾರ| ತೃತೀಯಶ್ಚ ತಾಮೇವ ವ್ಯುವಾಹ;
And the second took his wife, and he died without children.
31 ಇತ್ಥಂ ಸಪ್ತ ಭ್ರಾತರಸ್ತಾಮೇವ ವಿವಹ್ಯ ನಿರಪತ್ಯಾಃ ಸನ್ತೋ ಮಮ್ರುಃ|
And the third also took her; and so also the seven of them: and they died and left no children.
32 ಶೇಷೇ ಸಾ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಚ ಮಮಾರ|
Died in the end also the woman.
33 ಅತಏವ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾದುತ್ಥಾನಕಾಲೇ ತೇಷಾಂ ಸಪ್ತಜನಾನಾಂ ಕಸ್ಯ ಸಾ ಭಾರ್ಯ್ಯಾ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ? ಯತಃ ಸಾ ತೇಷಾಂ ಸಪ್ತಾನಾಮೇವ ಭಾರ್ಯ್ಯಾಸೀತ್|
In the resurrection therefore, whose of them shall she be the wife? for the seven of them had taken her.
Jeshu saith to them, The sons of this world take wives, and women become (the wives) of men: (aiōn g165)
35 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯೇ ತಜ್ಜಗತ್ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಯೋಗ್ಯತ್ವೇನ ಗಣಿತಾಂ ಭವಿಷ್ಯನ್ತಿ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾಚ್ಚೋತ್ಥಾಸ್ಯನ್ತಿ ತೇ ನ ವಿವಹನ್ತಿ ವಾಗ್ದತ್ತಾಶ್ಚ ನ ಭವನ್ತಿ, (aiōn g165)
but they who of that world are worthy, and of the resurrection which is from among the dead, take not wives, neither do women become (the wives) of men. (aiōn g165)
36 ತೇ ಪುನ ರ್ನ ಮ್ರಿಯನ್ತೇ ಕಿನ್ತು ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾದುತ್ಥಾಪಿತಾಃ ಸನ್ತ ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಸನ್ತಾನಾಃ ಸ್ವರ್ಗೀಯದೂತಾನಾಂ ಸದೃಶಾಶ್ಚ ಭವನ್ತಿ|
Neither again can they die, for they are as the angels; and the children are they of Aloha, because they have become the children of the resurrection.
37 ಅಧಿಕನ್ತು ಮೂಸಾಃ ಸ್ತಮ್ಬೋಪಾಖ್ಯಾನೇ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರ ಈಬ್ರಾಹೀಮ ಈಶ್ವರ ಇಸ್ಹಾಕ ಈಶ್ವರೋ ಯಾಕೂಬಶ್ಚೇಶ್ವರ ಇತ್ಯುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಮೃತಾನಾಂ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾದ್ ಉತ್ಥಾನಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಂ ಲಿಲೇಖ|
But that the dead arise, Musha also showeth; for he commemorateth at the bush, while he saith, The Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Ishok, and the God of Jakub.
38 ಅತಏವ ಯ ಈಶ್ವರಃ ಸ ಮೃತಾನಾಂ ಪ್ರಭು ರ್ನ ಕಿನ್ತು ಜೀವತಾಮೇವ ಪ್ರಭುಃ, ತನ್ನಿಕಟೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ಜೀವನ್ತಃ ಸನ್ತಿ|
But he was not the God of the dead, but of the living: for they all live unto him.
39 ಇತಿ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಕಿಯನ್ತೋಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾ ಊಚುಃ, ಹೇ ಉಪದೇಶಕ ಭವಾನ್ ಭದ್ರಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತವಾನ್|
And some of the Sophree answered and said to him, Doctor, thou hast well said.
40 ಇತಃ ಪರಂ ತಂ ಕಿಮಪಿ ಪ್ರಷ್ಟಂ ತೇಷಾಂ ಪ್ರಗಲ್ಭತಾ ನಾಭೂತ್|
And they dared not question him again of any thing.
41 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಸ ತಾನ್ ಉವಾಚ, ಯಃ ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟಃ ಸ ದಾಯೂದಃ ಸನ್ತಾನ ಏತಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಲೋಕಾಃ ಕಥಂ ಕಥಯನ್ತಿ?
AND he said to them, How say the Sophree concerning the Meshicha, that he is the Son of David?
42 ಯತಃ ಮಮ ಪ್ರಭುಮಿದಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಮವದತ್ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಃ| ತವ ಶತ್ರೂನಹಂ ಯಾವತ್ ಪಾದಪೀಠಂ ಕರೋಮಿ ನ| ತಾವತ್ ಕಾಲಂ ಮದೀಯೇ ತ್ವಂ ದಕ್ಷಪಾರ್ಶ್ವ ಉಪಾವಿಶ|
And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
43 ಇತಿ ಕಥಾಂ ದಾಯೂದ್ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಗೀತಗ್ರನ್ಥೇಽವದತ್|
until I put thine adversaries beneath thy feet.
44 ಅತಏವ ಯದಿ ದಾಯೂದ್ ತಂ ಪ್ರಭುಂ ವದತಿ, ತರ್ಹಿ ಸ ಕಥಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಸನ್ತಾನೋ ಭವತಿ?
If David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he his son?
45 ಪಶ್ಚಾದ್ ಯೀಶುಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವಜನಾನಾಂ ಕರ್ಣಗೋಚರೇ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾನುವಾಚ,
And while all the people heard, he said to his disciples,
46 ಯೇಽಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾ ದೀರ್ಘಪರಿಚ್ಛದಂ ಪರಿಧಾಯ ಭ್ರಮನ್ತಿ, ಹಟ್ಟಾಪಣಯೋ ರ್ನಮಸ್ಕಾರೇ ಭಜನಗೇಹಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರೋಚ್ಚಾಸನೇ ಭೋಜನಗೃಹಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನಸ್ಥಾನೇ ಚ ಪ್ರೀಯನ್ತೇ
Beware of the Sophree, who will to walk in stoles, and love the shaloma in public places, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the chief reclining-places at evening feasts;
47 ವಿಧವಾನಾಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವಸ್ವಂ ಗ್ರಸಿತ್ವಾ ಛಲೇನ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲಂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಯನ್ತೇ ಚ ತೇಷು ಸಾವಧಾನಾ ಭವತ, ತೇಷಾಮುಗ್ರದಣ್ಡೋ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತಿ|
who devour the houses of widows, and for the occasion prolong their prayers: these shall receive the greater judgment.
