1 pavitralokAnAM kR^ite yo. arthasaMgrahastamadhi gAlAtIyadeshasya samAjA mayA yad AdiShTAstad yuShmAbhirapi kriyatAM|

Now concerning the offering for the saints, you also are to do as I directed the church of Galatia.

2 mamAgamanakAle yad arthasaMgraho na bhavet tannimittaM yuShmAkamekaikena svasampadAnusArAt sa nchayaM kR^itvA saptAhasya prathamadivase svasamIpe ki nchit nikShipyatAM|

On the first day of each week let each of you put aside something, keeping it in store as he may prosper, so that when I come there may be no collections going on.

3 tato mamAgamanasamaye yUyaM yAneva vishvAsyA iti vediShyatha tebhyo. ahaM patrANi dattvA yuShmAkaM taddAnasya yirUshAlamaM nayanArthaM tAn preShayiShyAmi|

4 kintu yadi tatra mamApi gamanam uchitaM bhavet tarhi te mayA saha yAsyanti|

5 sAmprataM mAkidaniyAdeshamahaM paryyaTAmi taM paryyaTya yuShmatsamIpam AgamiShyAmi|

6 anantaraM kiM jAnAmi yuShmatsannidhim avasthAsye shItakAlamapi yApayiShyAmi cha pashchAt mama yat sthAnaM gantavyaM tatraiva yuShmAbhirahaM prerayitavyaH|

7 yato. ahaM yAtrAkAle kShaNamAtraM yuShmAn draShTuM nechChAmi kintu prabhu ryadyanujAnIyAt tarhi ki nchid dIrghakAlaM yuShmatsamIpe pravastum ichChAmi|

8 tathApi nistArotsavAt paraM pa nchAshattamadinaM yAvad iphiShapuryyAM sthAsyAmi|

9 yasmAd atra kAryyasAdhanArthaM mamAntike bR^ihad dvAraM muktaM bahavo vipakShA api vidyante|

for a door has opened to me, great and effectual, and the opponents are many.

10 timathi ryadi yuShmAkaM samIpam AgachChet tarhi yena nirbhayaM yuShmanmadhye vartteta tatra yuShmAbhi rmano nidhIyatAM yasmAd ahaM yAdR^ik so. api tAdR^ik prabhoH karmmaNe yatate|

If Timothy come, see to it that he is among you without trepidation; for he is doing the Lord’s work, as I am, so let no one disparage him.

11 ko. api taM pratyanAdaraM na karotu kintu sa mamAntikaM yad AgantuM shaknuyAt tadarthaM yuShmAbhiH sakushalaM preShyatAM| bhrAtR^ibhiH sArddhamahaM taM pratIkShe|

Whenever he comes to me, send him on his way in peace, for I am expecting him with the other brothers.

12 ApalluM bhrAtaramadhyahaM nivedayAmi bhrAtR^ibhiH sAkaM so. api yad yuShmAkaM samIpaM vrajet tadarthaM mayA sa punaH punaryAchitaH kintvidAnIM gamanaM sarvvathA tasmai nArochata, itaHparaM susamayaM prApya sa gamiShyati|

13 yUyaM jAgR^ita vishvAse susthirA bhavata pauruShaM prakAshayata balavanto bhavata|

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, be manly, be strong.

14 yuShmAbhiH sarvvANi karmmANi premnA niShpAdyantAM|

Let all that you do be done in love.

15 he bhrAtaraH, ahaM yuShmAn idam abhiyAche stiphAnasya parijanA AkhAyAdeshasya prathamajAtaphalasvarUpAH, pavitralokAnAM paricharyyAyai cha ta Atmano nyavedayan iti yuShmAbhi rj nAyate|

I beg you this, my brothers - you know the household of Stephanus, that they were the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they devoted themselves to the service of the saints -

16 ato yUyamapi tAdR^ishalokAnAm asmatsahAyAnAM shramakAriNA ncha sarvveShAM vashyA bhavata|

so I want you also to show deference to such, and to every fellow worker, and laborer.

17 stiphAnaH pharttUnAta AkhAyikashcha yad atrAgaman tenAham AnandAmi yato yuShmAbhiryat nyUnitaM tat taiH sampUritaM|

I am glad that Stephanus and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived, for they have made up for your absence.

18 tai ryuShmAkaM mama cha manAMsyApyAyitAni| tasmAt tAdR^ishA lokA yuShmAbhiH sammantavyAH|

They refresh my spirit as they do yours. So cultivate the acquaintance of such men.

19 yuShmabhyam AshiyAdeshasthasamAjAnAM namaskR^itim AkkilapriskillayostanmaNDapasthasamiteshcha bahunamaskR^itiM prajAnIta|

The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla (Prisca), with the church that meets in their house, greet you heartily in the Lord.

20 sarvve bhrAtaro yuShmAn namaskurvvante| yUyaM pavitrachumbanena mitho namata|

21 paulo. ahaM svakaralikhitaM namaskR^itiM yuShmAn vedaye|

22 yadi kashchid yIshukhrIShTe na prIyate tarhi sa shApagrasto bhavet prabhurAyAti|

If any one does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord is coming.

23 asmAkaM prabho ryIshukhrIShTasyAnugraho yuShmAn prati bhUyAt|

The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

24 khrIShTaM yIshum AshritAn yuShmAn prati mama prema tiShThatu| iti||
