Leaving the Temple Courts, Jesus was walking away, when his disciples came up to draw his attention to the Temple buildings.
2 ২ ততো যীশুস্তানুৱাচ, যূযং কিমেতানি ন পশ্যথ? যুষ্মানহং সত্যং ৱদামি, এতন্নিচযনস্য পাষাণৈকমপ্যন্যপাষাণেপরি ন স্থাস্যতি সর্ৱ্ৱাণি ভূমিসাৎ কারিষ্যন্তে|
‘Do you see all these things?’ was his answer. ‘I tell you, not a single stone will be left here on another, which will not be thrown down,’
3 ৩ অনন্তরং তস্মিন্ জৈতুনপর্ৱ্ৱতোপরি সমুপৱিষ্টে শিষ্যাস্তস্য সমীপমাগত্য গুপ্তং পপ্রচ্ছুঃ, এতা ঘটনাঃ কদা ভৱিষ্যন্তি? ভৱত আগমনস্য যুগান্তস্য চ কিং লক্ষ্ম? তদস্মান্ ৱদতু| (aiōn g165)
so, while Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came up to him privately and said, ‘Tell us when this will be, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the close of the age.’ (aiōn g165)
Jesus replied to them, ‘See that no one leads you astray;
for, many will take my name, and come saying “I am the Christ,” and will lead many astray.
6 ৬ যূযঞ্চ সংগ্রামস্য রণস্য চাডম্বরং শ্রোষ্যথ, অৱধদ্ৱ্ৱং তেন চঞ্চলা মা ভৱত, এতান্যৱশ্যং ঘটিষ্যন্তে, কিন্তু তদা যুগান্তো নহি|
You will hear of wars and rumours of wars; take care not to be alarmed, for such things must occur; but the end is not yet here.
7 ৭ অপরং দেশস্য ৱিপক্ষো দেশো রাজ্যস্য ৱিপক্ষো রাজ্যং ভৱিষ্যতি, স্থানে স্থানে চ দুর্ভিক্ষং মহামারী ভূকম্পশ্চ ভৱিষ্যন্তি,
For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All this, however, will be but the beginning of the birth pangs!
9 ৯ তদানীং লোকা দুঃখং ভোজযিতুং যুষ্মান্ পরকরেষু সমর্পযিষ্যন্তি হনিষ্যন্তি চ, তথা মম নামকারণাদ্ যূযং সর্ৱ্ৱদেশীযমনুজানাং সমীপে ঘৃণার্হা ভৱিষ্যথ|
When that time comes, they will give you up to persecution, and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
And then many will fall away, and will betray one another, and hate one another.
Many false prophets, also, will appear and lead many astray;
and, owing to the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
Yet the person who endures to the end will be saved.
14 ১৪ অপরং সর্ৱ্ৱদেশীযলোকান্ প্রতিমাক্ষী ভৱিতুং রাজস্য শুভসমাচারঃ সর্ৱ্ৱজগতি প্রচারিষ্যতে, এতাদৃশি সতি যুগান্ত উপস্থাস্যতি|
This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a witness to all nations; and then will come the end.
15 ১৫ অতো যৎ সর্ৱ্ৱনাশকৃদ্ঘৃণার্হং ৱস্তু দানিযেল্ভৱিষ্যদ্ৱদিনা প্রোক্তং তদ্ যদা পুণ্যস্থানে স্থাপিতং দ্রক্ষ্যথ, (যঃ পঠতি, স বুধ্যতাং)
As soon, then, as you see “the Foul Desecration,” mentioned by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy place,’ (the reader must consider what this means)
‘then those of you who are in Judea must take refuge in the mountains;
and a man on the housetop must not go down to get the things that are in his house;
nor must one who is on their farm turn back to get his cloak.
Alas for pregnant women, and for those who are nursing infants in those days!
Pray, too, that your flight may not take place in winter, nor on a Sabbath;
21 ২১ আ জগদারম্ভাদ্ এতৎকালপর্য্যনন্তং যাদৃশঃ কদাপি নাভৱৎ ন চ ভৱিষ্যতি তাদৃশো মহাক্লেশস্তদানীম্ উপস্থাস্যতি|
for that will be a time of great distress, the like of which has not occurred from the beginning of the world down to the present time – no, nor ever will again.
22 ২২ তস্য ক্লেশস্য সমযো যদি হ্স্ৱো ন ক্রিযেত, তর্হি কস্যাপি প্রাণিনো রক্ষণং ভৱিতুং ন শক্নুযাৎ, কিন্তু মনোনীতমনুজানাং কৃতে স কালো হ্স্ৱীকরিষ্যতে|
Had not those days been limited, not a single soul would escape; but for the sake of God’s people a limit will be put to them.
23 ২৩ অপরঞ্চ পশ্যত, খ্রীষ্টোঽত্র ৱিদ্যতে, ৱা তত্র ৱিদ্যতে, তদানীং যদী কশ্চিদ্ যুষ্মান ইতি ৱাক্যং ৱদতি, তথাপি তৎ ন প্রতীৎ|
At that time, if anyone should say to you “Look! Here is the Christ!” or “Here he is!”, do not believe it;
24 ২৪ যতো ভাক্তখ্রীষ্টা ভাক্তভৱিষ্যদ্ৱাদিনশ্চ উপস্থায যানি মহন্তি লক্ষ্মাণি চিত্রকর্ম্মাণি চ প্রকাশযিষ্যন্তি, তৈ র্যদি সম্ভৱেৎ তর্হি মনোনীতমানৱা অপি ভ্রামিষ্যন্তে|
for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will display great signs and marvels, so that, were it possible, even God’s people would be led astray.
Remember, I have told you beforehand.
26 ২৬ অতঃ পশ্যত, স প্রান্তরে ৱিদ্যত ইতি ৱাক্যে কেনচিৎ কথিতেপি বহি র্মা গচ্ছত, ৱা পশ্যত, সোন্তঃপুরে ৱিদ্যতে, এতদ্ৱাক্য উক্তেপি মা প্রতীত|
Therefore, if people say to you “He is in the wilderness!”, do not go out there; or “He is in an inner room!”, do not believe it;
27 ২৭ যতো যথা ৱিদ্যুৎ পূর্ৱ্ৱদিশো নির্গত্য পশ্চিমদিশং যাৱৎ প্রকাশতে, তথা মানুষপুত্রস্যাপ্যাগমনং ভৱিষ্যতি|
for, just as lightning will start from the east and flash across to the west, so will it be with the coming of the Son of Man.
Wherever a dead body lies, there will the vultures flock.
29 ২৯ অপরং তস্য ক্লেশসমযস্যাৱ্যৱহিতপরত্র সূর্য্যস্য তেজো লোপ্স্যতে, চন্দ্রমা জ্যোস্নাং ন করিষ্যতি, নভসো নক্ষত্রাণি পতিষ্যন্তি, গগণীযা গ্রহাশ্চ ৱিচলিষ্যন্তি|
Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the heavens, and the forces of the heavens will be convulsed.
30 ৩০ তদানীম্ আকাশমধ্যে মনুজসুতস্য লক্ষ্ম দর্শিষ্যতে, ততো নিজপরাক্রমেণ মহাতেজসা চ মেঘারূঢং মনুজসুতং নভসাগচ্ছন্তং ৱিলোক্য পৃথিৱ্যাঃ সর্ৱ্ৱৱংশীযা ৱিলপিষ্যন্তি|
Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the heavens, with power and great glory;
31 ৩১ তদানীং স মহাশব্দাযমানতূর্য্যা ৱাদকান্ নিজদূতান্ প্রহেষ্যতি, তে ৱ্যোম্ন একসীমাতোঽপরসীমাং যাৱৎ চতুর্দিশস্তস্য মনোনীতজনান্ আনীয মেলযিষ্যন্তি|
and he will send his angels, with a great trumpet, and they will gather his people round him from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 ৩২ উডুম্বরপাদপস্য দৃষ্টান্তং শিক্ষধ্ৱং; যদা তস্য নৱীনাঃ শাখা জাযন্তে, পল্লৱাদিশ্চ নির্গচ্ছতি, তদা নিদাঘকালঃ সৱিধো ভৱতীতি যূযং জানীথ;
‘Learn the lesson taught by the fig tree. As soon as its branches are full of sap, and it is bursting into leaf, you know that summer is near.
And so may you, as soon as you see all these things, know that he is at your doors.
I tell you, even the present generation will not pass away, until all these things have taken place.
The heavens and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
But about that day and hour, no one knows – not even the angels of heaven, not even the Son – but only the Father himself.
For, just as in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
38 ৩৮ ফলতো জলাপ্লাৱনাৎ পূর্ৱ্ৱং যদ্দিনং যাৱৎ নোহঃ পোতং নারোহৎ, তাৱৎকালং যথা মনুষ্যা ভোজনে পানে ৱিৱহনে ৱিৱাহনে চ প্রৱৃত্তা আসন্;
In those days before the flood they went on eating and drinking, marrying and being married, up to the very day on which Noah entered the ark,
39 ৩৯ অপরম্ আপ্লাৱিতোযমাগত্য যাৱৎ সকলমনুজান্ প্লাৱযিৎৱা নানযৎ, তাৱৎ তে যথা ন ৱিদামাসুঃ, তথা মনুজসুতাগমনেপি ভৱিষ্যতি|
taking not notice until the flood came and swept them one and all away; and so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
At that time, of two men on a farm one will be taken and one left;
of two women grinding with a hand-mill one will be taken and one left.
42 ৪২ যুষ্মাকং প্রভুঃ কস্মিন্ দণ্ড আগমিষ্যতি, তদ্ যুষ্মাভি র্নাৱগম্যতে, তস্মাৎ জাগ্রতঃ সন্তস্তিষ্ঠত|
Therefore watch; for you cannot be sure on what day your Master is coming.
43 ৪৩ কুত্র যামে স্তেন আগমিষ্যতীতি চেদ্ গৃহস্থো জ্ঞাতুম্ অশক্ষ্যৎ, তর্হি জাগরিৎৱা তং সন্ধিং কর্ত্তিতুম্ অৱারযিষ্যৎ তদ্ জানীত|
But this you do know, that, had the owner of the house known at what time of night the thief was coming, they would have been on the watch, and would not have allowed their house to be broken into.
Therefore, you must also prepare, since it is just when you are least expecting him that the Son of Man will come.
45 ৪৫ প্রভু র্নিজপরিৱারান্ যথাকালং ভোজযিতুং যং দাসম্ অধ্যক্ষীকৃত্য স্থাপযতি, তাদৃশো ৱিশ্ৱাস্যো ধীমান্ দাসঃ কঃ?
Who, then is that trustworthy, careful servant, who has been placed by their master over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
Happy will that servant be whom their master, when he comes home, will find doing this.
I tell you that their master will put them in charge of the whole of his property.
But, should the servant be a bad servant, and say to themselves “My master is a long time in coming,”
and begin to beat their fellow servants, and eat and drink with drunkards,
that servant’s master will come on a day when they do not expect him, and at an hour of which they are unaware,
and will flog the servant severely, and assign them their place among the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
