1 ১ অনন্তৰং তিবিৰিযকৈসৰস্য ৰাজৎৱস্য পঞ্চদশে ৱৎসৰে সতি যদা পন্তীযপীলাতো যিহূদাদেশাধিপতি ৰ্হেৰোদ্ তু গালীল্প্ৰদেশস্য ৰাজা ফিলিপনামা তস্য ভ্ৰাতা তু যিতূৰিযাযাস্ত্ৰাখোনীতিযাপ্ৰদেশস্য চ ৰাজাসীৎ লুষানীযনামা অৱিলীনীদেশস্য ৰাজাসীৎ
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar [Ruler], Pontius Pilate [Armed with javelin] being governor of Judea [Praise], and Herod [Heroic] being tetrarch (one of four co-emperors) of Galilee [District, Circuit], and his brother Philip [Loves horses] tetrarch (one of four co-emperors) of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch (one of four co-emperors) of Abilene,
2 ২ হানন্ কিযফাশ্চেমৌ প্ৰধানযাজাকাৱাস্তাং তদানীং সিখৰিযস্য পুত্ৰায যোহনে মধ্যেপ্ৰান্তৰম্ ঈশ্ৱৰস্য ৱাক্যে প্ৰকাশিতে সতি
in the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas [Rock that hollows itself out], ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God· came to John [Yah is gracious], the son of Zacharias [Remembered by Yah], in the wilderness.
3 ৩ স যৰ্দ্দন উভযতটপ্ৰদেশান্ সমেত্য পাপমোচনাৰ্থং মনঃপৰাৱৰ্ত্তনস্য চিহ্নৰূপং যন্মজ্জনং তদীযাঃ কথাঃ সৰ্ৱ্ৱত্ৰ প্ৰচাৰযিতুমাৰেভে|
He came into all the region around the Jordan [Descender], preaching the baptism of teshuvah ·complete repentance· for remission of sins.
4 ৪ যিশযিযভৱিষ্যদ্ৱক্তৃগ্ৰন্থে যাদৃশী লিপিৰাস্তে যথা, পৰমেশস্য পন্থানং পৰিষ্কুৰুত সৰ্ৱ্ৱতঃ| তস্য ৰাজপথঞ্চৈৱ সমানং কুৰুতাধুনা|
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah [Salvation of Yah] the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of MarYah [Master Yahweh]. Make his paths straight.
5 ৫ কাৰিষ্যন্তে সমুচ্ছ্ৰাযাঃ সকলা নিম্নভূমযঃ| কাৰিষ্যন্তে নতাঃ সৰ্ৱ্ৱে পৰ্ৱ্ৱতাশ্চোপপৰ্ৱ্ৱতাঃ| কাৰিষ্যন্তে চ যা ৱক্ৰাস্তাঃ সৰ্ৱ্ৱাঃ সৰলা ভুৱঃ| কাৰিষ্যন্তে সমানাস্তা যা উচ্চনীচভূমযঃ|
Every valley will be filled. Every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked will become straight, and the rough ways smooth.
Then all humanity will see God’s method of deliverance.’”
7 ৭ যে যে লোকা মজ্জনাৰ্থং বহিৰাযযুস্তান্ সোৱদৎ ৰে ৰে সৰ্পৱংশা আগামিনঃ কোপাৎ পলাযিতুং যুষ্মান্ কশ্চেতযামাস?
He said therefore to the multitudes who went out to be baptized by him, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 ৮ তস্মাদ্ ইব্ৰাহীম্ অস্মাকং পিতা কথামীদৃশীং মনোভি ৰ্ন কথযিৎৱা যূযং মনঃপৰিৱৰ্ত্তনযোগ্যং ফলং ফলত; যুষ্মানহং যথাৰ্থং ৱদামি পাষাণেভ্য এতেভ্য ঈশ্ৱৰ ইব্ৰাহীমঃ সন্তানোৎপাদনে সমৰ্থঃ|
Therefore produce fruits worthy of teshuvah ·complete repentance·, and don’t begin to say among yourselves, ‘We have Abraham [Father of a multitude] Avinu ·our Father·;’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham [Father of a multitude] from these stones!
Even now the ax also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not produce good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.”
The multitudes asked him, “What then must we do?”
11 ১১ ততঃ সোৱাদীৎ যস্য দ্ৱে ৱসনে ৱিদ্যেতে স ৱস্ত্ৰহীনাযৈকং ৱিতৰতু কিংঞ্চ যস্য খাদ্যদ্ৰৱ্যং ৱিদ্যতে সোপি তথৈৱ কৰোতু|
He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what must we do?”
He said to them, “Collect no more than that which is appointed to you.”
14 ১৪ অনন্তৰং সেনাগণ এত্য পপ্ৰচ্ছ কিমস্মাভি ৰ্ৱা কৰ্ত্তৱ্যম্? ততঃ সোভিদধে কস্য কামপি হানিং মা কাৰ্ষ্ট তথা মৃষাপৱাদং মা কুৰুত নিজৱেতনেন চ সন্তুষ্য তিষ্ঠত|
Soldiers also asked him, saying, “What about us? What must we do?” He said to them, “Extort from no one by violence, neither accuse anyone wrongfully. Be content with your wages.”
15 ১৫ অপৰঞ্চ লোকা অপেক্ষযা স্থিৎৱা সৰ্ৱ্ৱেপীতি মনোভি ৰ্ৱিতৰ্কযাঞ্চক্ৰুঃ, যোহনযম্ অভিষিক্তস্ত্ৰাতা ন ৱেতি?
As the people were in expectation, and all men reasoned in their hearts concerning John [Yah is gracious], whether perhaps he was the Messiah [Anointed one],
16 ১৬ তদা যোহন্ সৰ্ৱ্ৱান্ ৱ্যাজহাৰ, জলেঽহং যুষ্মান্ মজ্জযামি সত্যং কিন্তু যস্য পাদুকাবন্ধনং মোচযিতুমপি ন যোগ্যোস্মি তাদৃশ একো মত্তো গুৰুতৰঃ পুমান্ এতি, স যুষ্মান্ ৱহ্নিৰূপে পৱিত্ৰ আত্মনি মজ্জযিষ্যতি|
John [Yah is gracious] answered them all, “I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you in Ruach haKodesh [Spirit of the Holiness] and fire,
17 ১৭ অপৰঞ্চ তস্য হস্তে শূৰ্প আস্তে স স্ৱশস্যানি শুদ্ধৰূপং প্ৰস্ফোট্য গোধূমান্ সৰ্ৱ্ৱান্ ভাণ্ডাগাৰে সংগ্ৰহীষ্যতি কিন্তু বূষাণি সৰ্ৱ্ৱাণ্যনিৰ্ৱ্ৱাণৱহ্নিনা দাহযিষ্যতি|
whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor, and will gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Then with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people,
19 ১৯ অপৰঞ্চ হেৰোদ্ ৰাজা ফিলিপ্নাম্নঃ সহোদৰস্য ভাৰ্য্যাং হেৰোদিযামধি তথান্যানি যানি যানি কুকৰ্ম্মাণি কৃতৱান্ তদধি চ
but Herod [Heroic] the tetrarch (one of four co-emperors), being reproved by him for Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for all the evil things which Herod [Heroic] had done,
added this also to them all, that he shut up John [Yah is gracious] in prison.
Now when all the people were baptized, Yeshua [Salvation] also had been baptized, and was praying. The sky was opened,
22 ২২ তদনন্তৰং তেন প্ৰাৰ্থিতে মেঘদ্ৱাৰং মুক্তং তস্মাচ্চ পৱিত্ৰ আত্মা মূৰ্ত্তিমান্ ভূৎৱা কপোতৱৎ তদুপৰ্য্যৱৰুৰোহ; তদা ৎৱং মম প্ৰিযঃ পুত্ৰস্ত্ৱযি মম পৰমঃ সন্তোষ ইত্যাকাশৱাণী বভূৱ|
and Ruach haKodesh [Spirit of the Holiness] descended in a bodily form like a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying “You are my agapetos ·beloved, esteemed· Son. In you I am well pleased.”
Yeshua [Salvation] himself, when he began to teach, was about thirty years old, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph [May he add], the son of Heli,

the son of Matthat, the son of Levi [United with], the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph [May he add],
25 ২৫ যূষফ্ মত্তথিযস্য পুত্ৰঃ, মত্তথিয আমোসঃ পুত্ৰঃ, আমোস্ নহূমঃ পুত্ৰঃ, নহূম্ ইষ্লেঃ পুত্ৰঃ ইষ্লিৰ্নগেঃ পুত্ৰঃ|
the son of Mattathias [Gift of Yah], the son of Amos [Burden bearor], the son of Nahum [Comforter], the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,
26 ২৬ নগিৰ্মাটঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মাট্ মত্তথিযস্য পুত্ৰঃ, মত্তথিযঃ শিমিযেঃ পুত্ৰঃ, শিমিযিৰ্যূষফঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যূষফ্ যিহূদাঃ পুত্ৰঃ|

27 ২৭ যিহূদা যোহানাঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যোহানা ৰীষাঃ পুত্ৰঃ, ৰীষাঃ সিৰুব্বাবিলঃ পুত্ৰঃ, সিৰুব্বাবিল্ শল্তীযেলঃ পুত্ৰঃ, শল্তীযেল্ নেৰেঃ পুত্ৰঃ|
the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
28 ২৮ নেৰিৰ্মল্কেঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মল্কিঃ অদ্যঃ পুত্ৰঃ, অদ্দী কোষমঃ পুত্ৰঃ, কোষম্ ইল্মোদদঃ পুত্ৰঃ, ইল্মোদদ্ এৰঃ পুত্ৰঃ|
the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er,
29 ২৯ এৰ্ যোশেঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যোশিঃ ইলীযেষৰঃ পুত্ৰঃ, ইলীযেষৰ্ যোৰীমঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যোৰীম্ মত্ততঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মত্তত লেৱেঃ পুত্ৰঃ|

30 ৩০ লেৱিঃ শিমিযোনঃ পুত্ৰঃ, শিমিযোন্ যিহূদাঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যিহূদা যূষুফঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যূষুফ্ যোননঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যানন্ ইলীযাকীমঃ পুত্ৰঃ|
the son of Simeon [Hearing], the son of Judah [Praised], the son of Joseph [May he add], the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim,
31 ৩১ ইলিযাকীম্ঃ মিলেযাঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মিলেযা মৈননঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মৈনন্ মত্তত্তস্য পুত্ৰঃ, মত্তত্তো নাথনঃ পুত্ৰঃ, নাথন্ দাযূদঃ পুত্ৰঃ|
the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David [Beloved],

37 ৩৭ লেমক্ মিথূশেলহঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মিথূশেলহ্ হনোকঃ পুত্ৰঃ, হনোক্ যেৰদঃ পুত্ৰঃ, যেৰদ্ মহললেলঃ পুত্ৰঃ, মহললেল্ কৈননঃ পুত্ৰঃ|
the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan,
the son of Enos, the son of Seth [Appointed], the son of Adam [Human, Red earth], the son of God.
