< Luke 17 >

1 Jisua'n a ruoisingei kôma, inpalna hih omloi thei nimak, ania inpalna min ompu chung chu ântak bah na!
Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe [to him] by whom they come!
2 Hi mi chînte ngei lâia inkhatlam minpal chu, a minpalpu ringa han bunôilung minlîn tuikhangliena vôrpai ni senla, ata rangin sa uol a tih.
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.
3 Singthei roi, na lâibungin nunsie a thôn chu ngo roh, ânsîrin chu ngâidam roh.
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him.
4 nu chunga sûnkhatin voi sari saloi a thôn, voi sari kênsîr tiin, no kôm a hongin chu, na ngâidam ngêt rang ani.
And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
5 Ruoisingei han a kôma, “Pumapa, kin taksônna mi min detpe uol roh,” an tia.
And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 Hanchu, Pumapa han, “Ancham ru dôra hih taksônna nin neia anîn chu hi thingtheimu kung hih hong inphôi inla, tuikhangliena hong inphun roh, tîng nin ta nin he rangâi kelen atih,” tiin a thuona.
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
7 “Hanchu, nin lâia tumakhatin, tîrlâm pil tukin mo, belri hôlin mo, nei ungla, chuon a hong tungin, ‘Bukhalâi hong ot kelen roh’ tumo a ti rang nin nia?
But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
8 Manêkin, ‘Ku bukhalâi ni do bak inla, rovo tho inla, ka sâk ke nêk suo mâka ni ngâk roh, masuole nêk ni tih,’ tumo a ti loi ranga?
And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Suokin chong a jôm sikin tumo râisânchong a ril ngâi?
Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not.
10 Ma ang tak han, nin sintum nin sin suonûk khomin, tîrlâm papai kêng ei ni, ei sintum ei sin chak kêng nin ti rang ani.”
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do.
11 Hanchu, Jisua'n Jerusalem a se malamin, Samaria le Galilee kâra ramria a lôna.
And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 Khuo inkhat a lûtin chu miphâr sômin an intongpuia. Lâtaka an indinga,
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood at a distance.
13 an inieka, “Jisua Minchupu, inrieng mi mu roh!” an tia.
And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 Jisua'n a mu ngeia an kôma, “Se ungla, ochaingei kôma vân en roi” a tipe ngeia. Lampuia chu an dam zoia.
And when he saw [them], he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that as they were going, they were cleansed.
15 Inkhatin chu a dam zoi iti a rietin chu, rôl inringtakin, Pathien minpâk pumin a hongkîr nôka.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 Jisua ke bula inbokin râisânchong a rila, ha mi hah Samaria mi ani.
And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jisua'n, “A damngei hah mi sôm nin nia, adang ikuo ngei hah khonmo an om?
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?
18 Ithomo hi ramdangmi vai himo Pathien minpâk ranga hongkîr nôk?” a tia.
There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 Hanchu, a kôma, “Inthoi inla se ta roh, na taksônna hin nang a mindam ani,” a tipea.
And he said to him, Arise, depart: thy faith hath made thee whole.
20 Pharisee senkhat ngeiin Pathien Rêngram juongtung rang roi an rekela, Jisua'n, “Pathien Rêngram chu mu theiin juongtung no nih.
And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.
21 Tutên ‘En roh,’ hin kêng a om, son kêng a om ti no nih. Pathien Rêngram chu nin lâia kêng a om,” tiin a thuona.
Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 Hanchu, a ruoisingei kôma, “Miriem Nâipasal ringlâi sûn hi sûnkhat te luo nin mu nuom ni, la om a tih; ania mu khâi no tunui.”
And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see [it].
23 Mîn nin kôma, “‘En roh sô soh!’ ‘En roh hi hih,’ tîng an tih, ania, a en rangin vase no roi.
And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow them.
24 Invâna kôl ânleka, kôlkung renga kôlmong dêna ai vâr ngâi anghan, Miriem Nâipasal juong ni lechu, nîng a tih.
For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one [part] under heaven, shineth to the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 Ania, ma mâna han tuong ok a ta, atûnlâi mingei hengpaiin om a tih.”
But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
26 Noah zora lâia anghan Miriem Nâipasal zora khom nîng a tih.
And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 Noah, rukuonga a lûta, tuilienin a that riei mâka chu mitinin an sâkin an nêka, nupang pasal omsiet an tho ngâi.
They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Lot zora anghan mi tinin an sâkin an nêkin, an rochôka, an juora, an linga, in an sin ngâia.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 Lot'n Sodom a mâk nin chu mei leh kât invân renga a juonga, a that riei ani.
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all:
30 Ma anghan, Miriem Nâipasal juong inlâr nîn chu juong om a tih.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 Ha nîn chu inchunga ompûn, a neinun lâk rangin chum no rese. Ha angdênin, loia om khomin a ina hongkîr no rese.
In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Lot lômnu riettit ngâi roi.
Remember Lot's wife.
33 Tutu a ringna mojôk rang bôk kaiin machân an ta, a machân kaiin jôk an tih.
Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it.
34 Nangni ki ril, ha ni jânin chu, jâlmun khata mi inik jâl an ta, inkhat tuong nîng a ta, inkhat mâk nîng a tih.
I tell you, in that night there will be two [men] in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35 Nupang inikin sângsuk an ta, inkhat tuong nîng a ta, inkhat mâk nîng a tih.
Two [women] will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left.
36 Loia mi inik om an ta, inkhat tuong nîng a ta, inkhat mâk nîng a tih, a tia.
Two [men] will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.
37 Hanchu, ruoisingeiin, “Pumapa khotieng mo?” an tia. Jisua'n, “Ithi ruok omna kipa sêlkurungei intûp an tih,” a tia.
And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body [is], thither will the eagles be collected.
