2 Ka lâibungngei le sarnungei nin lampuia huongnangei jât tamtak nin tong khomin nangninanâkin vânsân inbê roi,
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations,
3 ma anga huongnangei ha nin taksônnân atuong zoiin chu tuongdierna asin ngâi tih nin riet sikin.
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
4 Lampui tina ite insamloiin akip le chukphara nin om theina rangin tuongdierna han ite châina boiin nangni ruoi rangin minthâr êt roi.
Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 Aniatachu nin lâia tukhom vârna ân samin chu Pathien kôm chubaitho senla, ama han pêk atih; Pathien'n mitin kôm manarloi le mulungchuktakin a pêk ngâi sikin.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 Aniatachu chubai nin tho tika, mulunglâiinlakna boitetin iemtakin nin tho ngêt rang ani. Tukhom mulunglâiinlakna a dônnin chu tuipui ânsôna phâivuopuiin asêm minlêngpai le atompiel angin ani.
But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
7 Hima anga mingei hah, mulungrîlbulbâl dônloi, an sintho murdia detloi mingei han Pumapa renga ite man rangin mindon tet no rese ngei.
For that man shouldn’t think that he will receive anything from the Lord.
He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 Khristien inrieng mingei han Pathien'n a domminsâng ngeiin chu an râiminsân ngêt rese ngei,
Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position;
10 male khristien mineingei khom Pathien'n a juong minnuoi ngeiin chu an râiminsân ngêt rese ngei. Minei ha rama sûl pâr achuoi angin alân mangpai rang ani.
and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.
11 Nisa alumnatak ruhu leh ahong suoka, sûl akânga; apâr atâka, male a enhoina ânmangpai ngâi. Ma angdênin mineingei khom sadâi sinthona chungroia an sepui ngâi hah minmangin ala om rang ani.
For the sun arises with the scorching wind and withers the grass; and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So the rich man will also fade away in his pursuits.
12 Methêmna an tong lâi khoma taksônoma om bang ngei chu an vân asa, minsinna hah an zoi tena chu Pathien'n ama lungkham ngei kôma pêk ranga ân khâmsai ringna hah râisânmanin an man rang sikin.
Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love him.
13 Mîn hima anga methêmna hah an tongin chu, “Hi methêmna hih Pathien renga hong kêng ani,” ti tet no rese ngei. Pathien chu asaloiin methêm thei ngâi maka, male ama khom tute methêm ngâi mak.
Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
14 Aniatachu ei ôina saloingei nanâkin mi tuong minmanga ei in-ôkin chu methêmna ei tong ani.
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed.
15 Hanchu ei ôina saloingei hah an vonga, sietna an neia; male sietna hah tuon-ahongtung tena chu thina anei ngâi ani.
Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin. The sin, when it is full grown, produces death.
16 Huongin om no roi, ko moroitak lâibungngei le sarnungei!
Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers.
17 Neinunpêk asa murdi le neinunpêk achukngei chu invân renga juong ngâi ania; mahi Pathien invâna vârngei Sinpu inthûl ngâiloi le ijînga inhei ngâiloi renga juong chum ngâi ani.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow.
18 Masikin iring parân a sinngei murdi lâia mun masatak ei chang theina rangin ama lungdôn chongtak thurchi renga miriem ring mi minchang zoi ani.
Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
19 Ko moroitak lâibungngei le sarnungei, mahi riettit roi! Mitinin chong rangâi inchu ngêt rese ngei, thurchi misîr le taksi chu inchu no rese ngei.
So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;
20 Miriem taksinân Pathien neinunkhîn diktak hah tuon-mintung thei ngâi mak.
for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.
21 Masikin thobaisi inthiengloi le nunchan saloingei renga inkêm roi. Pathien kôm inpêklûtin, nin mulungrîlngeia a chong tuhngei ha pom ungla, ma hah nangni sanminring thei atih.
Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 A chong rangâi ririemin nangninanâk inhuong no ungla; manêkin, chu atakin tho roi.
But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
23 Tukhom a chong rangâia, ataka tho loi chu lîmena inena ama mêl nanâk adiktaka mupu angin ani.
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror;
24 Asadimin amananâk ân ena, a se nôkin chu kho angin mo a mêl omtie hah a mingil nôk kelen ngâi angin ani.
for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
25 Aniatachu, tukhom balam akip mingei phûkdâia mojôk ngâi tieng en tita, lunghâng thorîta, a rangâia mingil nôk kelen ngâipu niloia, ataka sintho mingei chu Pathien'n an sinthona han satvur ngei atih.
But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.
26 Tukhom sakhuo tienga mi ki ni tia a mindon mo nin om? Nin melei nin donsûi minsa nônchu nin sakhuo mi nina hah kâmnângloi ania, nin thethena ân huong nin nih.
If anyone amongst you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.
27 Ei Pathien le Pa'n sakhuo ânthieng le diktaka a bê ngâi chu mahi ani: nupaboingei le meithâingei an dûktong zora donsûi le rammuol sietna renga inkêm hih ani.
Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
