Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes [our] brother,

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.

3 Pathien ei Pa le Pumapa Jisua Khrista kôm renga moroina le inngêina nin kôm om rese.

Grace [be] to you, and peace from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

5 Ama renga lam tina minei nin nia, chong le rietnangeia nin insôn bang sikin.

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and [in] all knowledge;

6 Khrista chong hah nin kôma mindetin aoma

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

7 ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista inlâr rang nin ngâk angin a satvurnangei inkhat luo man loiin om mak chei.

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8 Ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista Nikhuo han khom châinaboia nin omna rangin a kôm han among dênin nangni mindet atih.

Who will also confirm you to the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 A Nâipasal Jisua Khrista, ei Pumapa leh inlopna dôn ranga nangni koipu Pathien hah taksôn aom ani.

God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called to the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 Ka lâibungngei le sarnungei, nin tina murdia inruola, nin lâia insenna reng om loia, mulungrîl munkhat leh mindonna munkhat dôna om rangin ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista rimingin nin rêngin nangni ke ngên.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind, and in the same judgment.

11 Ku sûngsuokngei, nin lâia inkhalna aom ti Khloe insûngmi senkhatngeiin ânthârlakin min ril.

For it hath been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by them [who are of the house] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Ma anghin lei ti rong: nin rêngin nin ti lam atei chita, senkhatin an ti “Kei chu Paul pâl ki ni”; “Kei chu Apollos pâl ki ni”; adangin “Kei chu Peter pâl ki ni”; male adangin “Kei chu Khrista pâl ki ni” nin tia.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Khrista chu pâlngeiin semin aom mo! Nin ta ranga khrosa thipu hah Paul mini? aninônchu tîrton Paul riminga baptis chang mo nin ni?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

14 Krispus le Gaius tiloiin chu tute ka baptis loi sikin Pathien kôm râisânchong ki ril.

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

15 Masikin, tutên ku ruoisingei rimingin baptis ka chang ti thei no tunui.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in my own name.

16 (O ani, Stephanas le a insûngmingei khom baptis ko thoa, midang ka baptis sa mo khom riet mu-ung.)

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas; besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

17 Khrista'n baptis rangin mi tîr maka, Thurchi Sa misîra, ma thurchisa hah miriem vârna mang loia misîr rangin mi tîr kêng ani, Khrosa Khrista thina hah asênaboi achang loina rangin.

For Christ hath not sent me to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

18 Khrosa Khrista thina roi hih ânmang tir ngei ta rangin chu mona ania, aniatachu eini sanminring tira omngei ta rangin chu Pathien sinthotheina ani.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but to us who are saved, it is the power of God.

19 Pathien lekhabu'n: “Mivâr vârna chu min boi riei ka ta, male mitheingei riettheina chu paivar ki tih,” ati.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Hanchu, mivârngei hah khonmo an om? mitheingei hah khonmo an om? Hi rammuola mi makhal theitakngei hah khonmo an om? Pathien'n hi rammuol vârna hih mona ani ti a minlang zoi! (aiōn g165)

Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)

21 Miriemngeiin an vârna mangin Pathien an riet thei khâiloi lehan Pathien vârna thurchi misîr “inmôl tak” manga a iemngei sanminring hah Pathien lungdo tak ani.

For when in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 Judangeiin minthârna rangin sininkhêlngei an zonga, Greekngeiin vârna an zong.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek wisdom:

23 Keini rêkin chu Khrista jêmdelna roi kin misîr ngâia, mahah Judangei ta rangin chu inpalna ania, Jentailngei ta rangin mona ani;

But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks foolishness;

24 aniatachu Juda mo, Greek mo Pathien'n a koingei ta rangin chu Khrista hah Pathien sinthotheina le Pathien vârna ani.

But to them who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Pathien inmôlna chu miriem vârna nêkin avâr uola, a râtloina khom miriem râtna nêkin arât uol sikin.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 Ka lâibungngei le sarnungei atûn, nangni a koi lam hih mindon ta u, nin lâia mi tamtak hi taksa tienga mivâr nimak choia, mi sinthotheitak khom nimak choia, mi roiinpui lâia khom nimak choi.

For ye see your calling, brethren, that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble [are called]:

27 Pathien'n mivârngei mâimôkashak theina rangin rammuol mindonna inmôlngei a thang ngeia, mirâtngei mâimôkashak theina rangin rammuol mindonna mi dok ngei a thang zoi.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 Mapên han Pathien'n rammuol mindonna neinun kâm omngei hah kâmnângloi a min chang theina rangin rammuolin a en nuomloia amintem le itea abe loi hah a thang sa zoi.

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are:

29 Masikin Pathien makunga han tute omlien song thei om noni ngei.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 Aniatachu nangni chu Pathien'n Khrista Jisua le nangni minzomin, Khrista hah ei vârna rangin a sin ani. Ama jârin Pathien makunga midik ei changa, Pathien mi inthieng ngei ei hongnia mojôkin ei om zoi.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who from God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 Masikin Pathien lekhabu'n ati anghan, “Tukhom insong rang ajôt ngei chu Pumapa sintho hih song ngêt rese ngei.”

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
