< Luka 7 >

1 Nawamala onongwa zyakwe zyonti mmakutu gabhantu ahinjiye, hupapernaumu.
Now when he had ended all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2 Na obhambhambo wakwe oakida, omo ali bhinu tee alipapepe nefwa, wape alimntu yagene tee.
And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick, and ready to die.
3 Nahovwezye enongwa ezye Yesu, asonte zyezye agosi abhayahudi, hwamwahale hulabhe aje aponie obhombambombo wakwe.
And when he heard of Jesus, he sent to him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4 Bhope nabhafishile hwa Yesu, bhalabhile tee bhajile abhajiye, “Ono ombombele anongwa ezi,
And when they came to Jesus, they besought him earnestly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
5 Afanaje aligene itaifa lyetu, wape atizenjeye isinagogi.”
For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6 Basi oYesu abhalile pandwemo. Nabho nasagalihutali nenyumba, eyola oakida asontezyezye orafiki hwamwahale wabhola. 'GOSI, ogaje ahwiluvye afwanaje ane sefaa aje ewe oyinjile pansi pigalo lyane.
Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
7 Eshi ehwilolile aje sefaa nene ahwinze hwaho, lelo panga izu tu obhombambo wane abhapone.
Therefore neither thought I myself worthy to come to thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
8 Afwanaje nane endi muntu nembehwelwe pansi eye ulongozi, endina sikari pansi yane, nkebholele ono bhala abhala na ono “enza” ahwenza, na obhomba mbombo, “Wane” bhomba eshi, abhomba.”
For I also am a man placed under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9 OYesu namwovwa ego aswijire, wagugalushila, obngano gwagwabhinjelelaga wanyaga.” Embabhola, hata bha Israeli, sendilolile olyweteho ogosi neshe olu.
When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned himself about, and said to the people that followed him, I say to you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10 Na bhala bhabhatumwilyu nabhahwela okhaya bhamwaga ola obhombambombo mwinza.
And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well that had been sick.
11 Napamande hashe, abhalile hwiboma limo lyakwiwaga Naini. Asambelezye wa bhakwe bhabhenjelezenye nalwo pandwemo no bongona ogosi.
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and many people.
12 Nawafiha apalamile nolwango ogwi boma eye, omntu yafyiye au anyetulwe, na mwana weka hwa nyina wakwe. Yali fwele, na mabungano wabhantu afume hwiboma bhali pandwemo nawo.
Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and many people of the city were with her.
13 GOSI nawalola aloleye husajile wabhala, “Laha lile.”
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not.
14 Wasojela walipalamasya ijeneza bhala bhabanyetuye bhahemeleye, wayanga sahala ehubhala “imelela”
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bore him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say to thee, Arise.
15 Ola ofwe wemelela. Wakhala wanda aje wapela onyina wakwe.
And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16 Owoga wabhakhata wonti. Bhasomba ONGOLOBHE bhayanga okuwa “OGOSI afumiye hwilite” na “ONGOLOBHE abhenyizye abhantu bhakwe”
And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet hath risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
17 Enogwa zyakwe ezi zyazyambanile huyudea hwonti na ensi zyonti zyazili mshe mshe.
And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the surrounding region.
18 Asambelezyewa abha Yohana bhaletela enogwa zyego gonti.
And the disciples of John reported to him of all these things.
19 Esho oYohana wabhakwizya bhabhele asombeleziwa bhakwe wabhasondelezya hwa Yesu abhozye “Awe wewe ola yayenza, au timwenyelezyaje owenje?
And John calling two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
20 Wape nabhafiha hwamwahale bhayanjile, “oYohana ya hwozya atisondezyezye hwiliwe aganjile aje awe, 'Wewe ola yahwenza au timwenyelezyaje owenje?”
When the men had come to him, they said, John the Baptist hath sent us to thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
21 Ne sala yeyo abhaponizye abhinji abhinu bhabho na efwa, eye mpepo embibhi, na avipofu abhinji bhalolile.
And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and afflictions, and of evil spirits; and to many that were blind he gave sight.
22 Eshi nkawagalula. Wabhabhola, bhalaji mubhale oYohana ega gamgalolilena govwe. avipofu bhalola alema bhajenda, abheukoma bhapona, adinda makutu bhahwovwa, bhabhafwiye bhazyoba, apena bhalombelelwa enongwa enyinza.
Then Jesus answering said to them, Go, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; that the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
23 Wape heri omntu yeyonti yasavisiwa nane.”
And blessed is he, who shall not be offended because of me.
24 Basi eshi asontelezewe bha Yohana na bhasogola, ahandile abhabhole amabongono enongwa ezya Yohana, “Mwafumile abhale mwipoli ahwenye yenu, isole wauyiziwa nehala?
And when the messengers of John had departed, he began to speak to the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
25 Eshi mwafumile abhale ahwenye yenu, omntu yakwatiziwe amenda aminza? mmanye abhantu bhabhali namwenda ageu tukufu bhabhalya raha bhali mnyumba ezye shimwene.
But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they who are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.
26 Eshi mwafumile abhale ahwegegenu okuwa, Antele? Embabhole, na yali zaidi ya okuwa.
But what went ye out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.
27 Oyo yayo asimbiliwa, “Ega, enya ehusontelezya ojumbe wane hwitagalila elye maso gaho, yabhalenganya idala lyaho hwitagalila lyaho,
This is he, concerning whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
28 Nane embabhola, neshi bhala bhapepwe na bhashe, nomo yaligosi neshe oYohana, lelo yalidodo humwene owa NGOLOBHE GOSI ashile omwene.”
For I say to you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
29 Abhantu bhonti bhabhasonjezya esonga nabhahovwezye ego bhaheteshe, elyoli ya NGOLOBHE afwanaje bhoziwe. Huwoziwa uYohana.
And all the people that heard him, and the tax collectors, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
30 Lelo abhafarisayo na bhana sheria bhali khene isunde elya NGOLOBHEhwabhene afwanaje sebhohoziwe nomwene.
But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized by him.
31 OGOSI wayanga embalenganisye neye abhantu abheshikho eshi? bhape bhalengene neyenu?
And the Lord said, To what then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
32 Bhalengene nabhana bhakheye pasokoni, na kwizanye nabhayanga, 'tabhakhomeye efilimbi antele semwahanjile, tazondile antele semwalilile.'
They are like children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
33 Afwanaje oYohana owahozye ahenzele salya ibumnda wala samwela divai, namwa myanga myiga “Ano pepo obhibhi.
For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a demon.
34 Omwana owa Adamu ayenzile alya na mwele, namwe myanga, enye, lyavi ono, na mwezi owe divai, rafiki wabho asonjezya!
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!
35 Neshinshi ebhoneshe aje elinelyoli hwabhana bhakwe bhonti.”
But wisdom is justified by all her children.
36 Omntu omo owa mafarisayo amwanile alye eshalye hwamwene. Winjila mnyumba yakwe ofarisayo, wakhala pashalye.
And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat.
37 Enya oshe omo owiboma lila wali wemabhibhi. Nazyoyile enongwa aje akheye pashalye panyumba eyola ofarisayo, aletile insupa marimari yeli nemaruhamu.
And, behold, a woman in the city, who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Basi ola ofarisayo yamwanile nawolola shila wanyanga humwoyo gwakwe, omntu ono khashile alikuwe, “Handamenye oshe ono yahupalamasyasya, wenu wape aliwelewele yaje wemabhibhi.
Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 OYesu wagamla wabhozya, “Simoni endine nongwa mbahubhole. “Wayanga” “sambilizi yanga!”
And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. And he saith, Master, say it.
41 Wayanga “Omntu omo yakhopezya alinabhe madeni bhabhele, omo adagaya ehela miatano nowabhele amsini.
There was a certain creditor who had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 Bhape nabhali sebhalinahahuripe, abhasajiye wonti. bhabhele neshe bhabhele yo nanu yayihugana tee?
And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simoni wagalula wayanga, “Amenyeje yayola yasajiye enyinji.” Wabhola oyamliye lyoli.”
Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said to him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 Wagarushila ola oshe wabhola Simoni, “Walota oshe. Ono nahinjiye mnyumba yaho. Sohampiye amenze mmagagagane, eshi ono andayazyezye amansozi mmagagagane, na syomwole nisisi elya mwitwe lyakwe.
And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thy house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Awe sohanjayiye, lelo ono, awande pana hinjiye sagaleshile njayile tee mmagaga gane.
Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 Sagapashile mwitwe lyane amafuta, eshi ono ampeshe amagaga gane amaruhamu.
My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Afwanaje nago, ehubhozya asajiye embibhi zyekwe zyazyalinjili, afwanaje asongwezye tee. Lelo yasajilya hasheoyo asongwelye hashe.”
Therefore I say to thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 Eshi abholele oshe, “Osajilye embibhi zyaho zyonti”
And he said to her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 Esho bhala bhabhakheye pandwemo nawo bhahandile ayanje humoyo gabho wenu ono yasajilo embibhi?”
And they that were eating with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 Wabhola ola oshe, “Olweteho lyaho lumwauye. Bhalaga hulweteho lwaho”
And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
