1 Начальнику хора. На музыкальном орудии Шушан-Эдуф. Писание Давида для изучения, когда он воевал с Сириею Месопотамскою и с Сириею Цованскою, и когда Иоав, возвращаясь, поразил двенадцать тысяч Идумеев в долине Соляной. Боже! Ты отринул нас, Ты сокрушил нас, Ты прогневался: обратись к нам.
To him that excelleth upon Shushan Eduth, or Michtam. A Psalme of David to teach. When he fought against Aram Naharaim, and against Aram Zobah, when Joab returned and slew twelve thousand Edomites in the salt valley. O God, thou hast cast vs out, thou hast scattered vs, thou hast bene angry, turne againe vnto vs.
2 Ты потряс землю, разбил ее: исцели повреждения ее, ибо она колеблется.
Thou hast made the land to tremble, and hast made it to gape: heale the breaches thereof, for it is shaken.
3 Ты дал испытать народу твоему жестокое, напоил нас вином изумления.
Thou hast shewed thy people heauy things: thou hast made vs to drinke the wine of giddines.
4 Даруй боящимся Тебя знамя, чтобы они подняли его ради истины,
But now thou hast giuen a banner to them that feare thee, that it may be displayed because of thy trueth. (Selah)
5 чтобы избавились возлюбленные Твои; спаси десницею Твоею и услышь меня.
That thy beloued may be deliuered, helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
6 Бог сказал во святилище Своем: “восторжествую, разделю Сихем и долину Сокхоф размерю:
God hath spoken in his holines: therefore I will reioyce: I shall deuide Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.
7 Мой Галаад, Мой Манассия, Ефрем крепость главы Моей, Иуда скипетр Мой,
Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iudah is my lawgiuer.
8 Моав умывальная чаша Моя; на Едома простру сапог Мой. Восклицай Мне, земля Филистимская!”
Moab shalbe my wash pot: ouer Edom will I cast out my shoe: Palestina shew thy selfe ioyfull for me.
9 Кто введет меня в укрепленный город? Кто доведет меня до Едома?
Who will leade me into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
10 Не Ты ли, Боже, Который отринул нас, и не выходишь, Боже, с войсками нашими?
Wilt not thou, O God, which hadest cast vs off, and didest not go forth, O God, with our armies?
11 Подай нам помощь в тесноте, ибо защита человеческая суетна.
Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
12 С Богом мы окажем силу, Он низложит врагов наших.
Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall tread downe our enemies.
