< Rae-fafo' Mata Feu' 9 >

(Abyssos g12)
And, the fifth messenger, sounded; and I saw a star, out of heaven, fallen unto the earth, and there was given unto him the key of the shaft of the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
Masuꞌ naa namasu bubꞌueꞌ ata neu, losa lalai no relo a maꞌahatuꞌ. (Abyssos g12)
And he opened the shaft of the abyss; and there came up a smoke out of the shaft, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened, by reason of the smoke of the shaft. (Abyssos g12)
3 Boe ma lamat hetar seli ratambele dea rema mia masuꞌ naa rala, de onda raefafoꞌ rema. Lamatualain fee se koasa ona uraꞌ e.
And, out of the smoke, came forth, locusts, upon the earth; and there was given unto them licence, as the scorpions of the earth have licence.
4 Te Ana parenda se nae afiꞌ tao milutu uru a, hau huuꞌ, ma sela-nggariꞌ ra. Te ara musi tao raꞌasususaꞌ atahori fo Lamatuaꞌ cap Na nese ree nara.
And it was bidden them that they should not injure the herbage of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, —but only the men who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads.
5 Lamatualain mboꞌi lamat ra tao raꞌasususaꞌ atahori fula lima, te nda bole risa se. Sadꞌi tao doidꞌoso se onaꞌ uraꞌ a toꞌiꞌ.
And it was given unto them, that they should not slay them, but that they should be tormented five months; and, the torture of them, was as of a scorpion’s torture, whensoever it smiteth a man.
6 Sia fula lima rala, atahori doidꞌoso rala seli, losa roꞌeꞌ a mamates. Mae onaꞌ naa o ara nda bisa mate sa.
And, in those days, shall men seek death, and in nowise shall find it, and shall covet to die, and death fleeth from them.
7 Au ita lamat naa ra mata-ao nara onaꞌ a, ndara netatis. Ara rasolo solo netatis nenetaoꞌ mia lilo. Mata-ao nara onaꞌ atahori.
And, the likenesses of the locusts, were like unto horses prepared for battle; and, upon their heads, as it were crowns, like unto gold, and, their faces, were as the faces of men,
8 Langga fulu nara naruꞌ onaꞌ inaꞌ ra langga fulun, ma nisi nara tandeꞌ onaꞌ singa nisiꞌ.
and, they had hair, as the hair of women, and, their teeth, were, as of lions,
9 Ona ara pake pepele tendaꞌ nenetaoꞌ mia besi, onaꞌ uꞌu unaꞌ e. Lidꞌa nara ralii rahereꞌ onaꞌ soldꞌadꞌu nononggoꞌ sa ndara nara lea kareta netatis.
and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and, the sound of their wings, was as the sound of chariots of many horses, running into battle;
10 Iko nara manaseliꞌ ma marasot onaꞌ uraꞌ a rason. Ara hambu koasa fo tao doidꞌoso atahori rendiꞌ raso nara, losa fula lima.
and they have tails like unto scorpions, and stings, and, in their tails, is their licence to injure men five months.
Sosoan, “Mana Tao Malutuꞌ.” (Abyssos g12)
They have over them, as king, the messenger of the abyss, whose name, in Hebrew, is Abaddon, and, in the Greek, he hath for name, Destroyer. (Abyssos g12)
12 No taꞌo naa, calaka kaesan, seli ena. Te besa-bꞌesa, o! Huu hela feꞌe calaka rua fai.
The first, Woe, hath passed away, lo! there come, yet, two, Woes, after these things.
Hambu haraꞌ kalua mia mei a sura nara haaꞌ se.
And, the sixth messenger, sounded; and I heard one voice, from among the horns of the altar of gold which is before God,
saying unto the sixth messenger, who was holding the trumpet—Loose the four messengers, who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
15 Boe ma neu mboꞌi se, fo ara reu tao risa atahori nandaa no too, fula, fai, ma liiꞌ fo Lamatualain naeꞌtuꞌ basa ena. Onaꞌ hita bꞌanggi atahori sia raefafoꞌ neu babꞌanggiꞌ telu, na, dei fo mate hendi babꞌanggiꞌ esa.
And the four messengers were loosed, who had been prepared for the hour, and day, and month, and year, that they should slay the third of men.
16 Ara rafadꞌe au rae, ana bua naa ra, soldꞌadꞌu mana sae ndara nara, juta natun rua.
And, the number of the armies of the horsemen, was twice ten thousand times ten thousand—I heard the number of them.
17 Basa ma au ita soldꞌadꞌu naa ra ro ndara nara. Soldꞌadꞌu naa ra babꞌaa tendaꞌ nara rendiꞌ babꞌaaꞌ tendaꞌ dulaꞌ telu naeni mana mbila-karakaraꞌ, modꞌoꞌ makahahadoꞌ, ma huni-baleran. Ndara naa ra langga nara onaꞌ singa langgan. Ai no masuꞌ ma baleran nasapupuraꞌ mia ndara ra bafa nara,
And, thus, saw I the horses in the vision, —and them who were sitting upon them, having breastplates as of fire and hyacinth and brimstone; —and, the heads of the horses, were as heads of lions, and, out of their mouths, come forth fire and smoke and brimstone:
18 fo fee doidꞌosoꞌ mataꞌ telu sia raefafoꞌ. Doidosoꞌ mana kalua mia ndara ra bafa nara, risa esa mia babꞌanggiꞌ telu, mia basa atahori sia raefafoꞌ.
by these three plagues, were slain, the third part of mankind, by reason of the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, that proceedeth out of their mouths;
19 Ndara ra reu tao doidꞌoso atahori ra rendiꞌ bafa ma iko nara. Sia iko nara, hambu langgaꞌ onaꞌ mengge langgaꞌ.
for, the licence of the horses, is, in their mouth, and in their tails, for, their tails, are like unto serpents, having heads, and, with them, they injure.
20 Te feꞌe hambu atahori ruma sia raefafoꞌ, nda hambu doidꞌosoꞌ naa ra sa. Mae taꞌo naa o, ara nda nau nggari hendi tatao-nonoꞌi deꞌulaka nara sa. Ara songgo nitu rakandooꞌ a, ma songgo saa fo ara tao mia lilo, doi fulaꞌ, riti, fatu ma hau. Mae sudꞌi a saa naa ra nda bisa rita sa, nda bisa rena sa, ma nda bisa laoꞌ sa, te ara songgo se nda raloeꞌ sa!
And, the rest of mankind who were not slain by these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, —that they should not do homage unto the demons, nor unto the idols of gold and of silver and of copper and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;
21 Ara o nda nau raloeꞌ mia sala-kiluꞌ laen nara sa boe, onaꞌ a risa atahori, pake nenori maꞌahatuꞌ, hohongge ma ramanaꞌo.
Neither repented they of their murders, or of their sorceries, or of their lewdnesses, or of their thefts.
