< 2 Timotius 2 >

1 Timotius ana susue ngge! Yesus Kristus naa, rala maloleꞌ. Ia naa dadꞌi esa mo E ena, ma Ana o nae tao maꞌadere nggo boe. Dadꞌi ho musi simboꞌ a!
Thou, therefore, my child, be empowering thyself in the favour that is in Christ Jesus,
2 Feꞌesaꞌan, au unori nggo sia atahori hetar mata nara Lamatualain dꞌala masodꞌa ndoo-tetun. Dadꞌi ia naa, au oꞌe nggo, fo rena mala saa mia au e, na muu munori neu atahori fo ho bisa mumuhereꞌ ra. Atahori naa ra musi ranori rahine seluꞌ taꞌo naa neu atahori feaꞌ ra fai.
And, the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same, entrust thou unto faithful men, such as shall be, competent, to teach, others also.
3 Basa hita ia, onaꞌ Yesus Kristus soldꞌadꞌu nara. Dadꞌi basa hita lemba doidꞌosoꞌ onaꞌ E boe. Huu ho, soldꞌadꞌu malole, musi lemba babꞌanggim boe.
Take thy part in suffering hardship, as a brave soldier of Christ Jesus: —
No taꞌo naa, ana tao namahoꞌo malanggan.
No one that is serving as a soldier, entangleth himself with the matters of his livelihood, that he may please him that hath summoned him to serve as a soldier;
If, moreover, any man, contend even in the games, he is not crowned, unless, lawfully, he contend;
6 Mete mana ue-rae ra boe. Ana tao-ues nda hahae aon sa sia osin rala. Dadꞌi eni etu-oru naꞌahuluꞌ osi a mbule-bꞌoan.
The toiling husbandman, ought, first, of the fruits, to partake:
7 Dꞌuꞌa malolole dalaꞌ ia ra. Dei fo Lamatualain fee nggo muhine basa naa ra.
Think, as to what I am speaking; for the Lord will give thee discernment in all things.
8 Dꞌuꞌa malolole neu Yesus Kristus. Eni, mane Daud tititi-nonosin. Naa dadꞌi hara-lii maloleꞌ fo au ufadꞌe sia bee-bꞌee.
Keep in mind Jesus Christ—raised from among the dead, of the seed of David, —according to my joyful message:
9 Huu au ufadꞌe Hara-lii Maloleꞌ naa, naa de au hambu doidꞌosoꞌ taꞌo ia. Lenaꞌ fai ara futu au no rante, onaꞌ au ia atahori deꞌulakaꞌ. Te ara nda ai rala Lamatualain Hara-lii Malolen sa.
In which I am suffering hardship, even unto bonds, as an evil-doer; but, the word of God, is not bound.
Sadꞌi Lamatualain atahori nara fo Ana pili nalaꞌ ra, hambu masodꞌaꞌ.
For this cause, am I enduring, all things, for the sake of the chosen, in order that, they also, may obtain, the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus along with glory age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
11 Dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ ia ra memaꞌ tebꞌe: “Mete ma ata simbo tae, Kristus mate nggati hita, naa onaꞌ hita o mate hela masodꞌa mbara tara, fo, tasodꞌa to E boe.
Faithful, the saying—for, If we have died together, we shall also live together,
12 Mete ma taꞌatataaꞌ to doidꞌosoꞌ a, dei fo ata endoꞌ toꞌu parendaꞌ taꞌabꞌue to E. Te mete ma tafanii E, Ana o nafanii nggita boe.
If we endure, we shall also reign together; If we shall deny, he also, will deny us,
Saa fo Ana olaꞌ, Ana tao tungga.”
If we are faithless, he, faithful, abideth, —for, deny himself, he cannot!
14 Fee nesenenedꞌaꞌ neu atahori mamahereꞌ ra, fo ara afiꞌ liliiꞌ basa ia ra. Akaꞌ a tao nalutu atahori mana renaꞌ ra dudꞌuꞌa nara.
Of these things, be putting [them] in remembrance, adjuring [them] before God not to be waging word-battles, —useful, for nothing, occasioning a subversion of them that hearken.
15 Tao muꞌubꞌebꞌesa aom fo onaꞌ atahori mana tao-ues nandaa hambu kokoaꞌ mia Lamatualain. Atahori onaꞌ naa afiꞌ mae, huu ana tao ue-tataon no maloleꞌ. Ho musi dadꞌi atahori mana nanori Lamatualain Dedꞌea-oꞌolan no matetuꞌ. Huu dedꞌea-oꞌolan tebꞌe!
Give diligence, thyself, approved, to present unto God, —a workman not to be put to shame, skillfully handling the word of truth.
Te naa taoꞌ a atahori boe tao deꞌulakaꞌ.
But, the profane pratings, shun; for, unto more ungodliness, will they force themselves on;
17 Dedꞌea-oꞌola deꞌulaka nara, nanoꞌi onaꞌ hedꞌi dꞌio-maneꞌ. Himeneus no Filetus oꞌola nara, onaꞌ naa!
And, their discourse, as a gangrene, will eat its way; —of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 Ruꞌa se ranori sala rae, basa atahori mates ra, rasodꞌa baliꞌ ena. Te nda tebꞌe sa! No taꞌo naa, ara dinggoꞌ raꞌadꞌooꞌ mia dꞌala ndoo-tetuꞌ a. Saa fo sira ranoriꞌ naa ra, tao ralutuꞌ a atahori ruma nemehere nara.
Men who, concerning the truth, have erred, affirming, a resurrection, already, to have taken place, and are overthrowing the faith, of some.
Sia netehuuꞌ naa, nenesuraꞌ oi, “Lamatuaꞌ nahine atahori nara”, ma, “Atahori mana sendeꞌ neu Lamatualain musi raꞌadodꞌooꞌ mia deꞌulakaꞌ.” Netehuuꞌ naa, naeni, Lamatualain atahori nara.
Howbeit, the firm foundation of God, standeth, having this seal—The Lord hath acknowledged them who are his, and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord stand aloof from unrighteousness.
20 Sia atahori mamasuꞌiꞌ ra umen rala, hambu sudꞌiꞌ a saa mataꞌ-mataꞌ. Hambu ruma nenetaoꞌ mia lilo ma doi fulaꞌ. Te ruma nenetaoꞌ mia hau no rae huraꞌ. Tenu ume a maꞌahee pake sudꞌiꞌ a saa meulauꞌ ra, sia fefeta monaeꞌ. Te ana mae pake sudꞌiꞌ a saa nda meulauꞌ ra sa, sia atahori ra mata nara. Atahori o onaꞌ naa boe. Atahori mana naꞌadꞌodꞌoꞌ no deꞌulakaꞌ a, ana onaꞌ sudꞌiꞌ a saa meulauꞌ ra. Tenu umeꞌ a namahoꞌo pake e, huu ana ma nggunaꞌ fo tao-ues mataꞌ-mataꞌ no maloleꞌ.
But, in a great house, there are not only gold and silver vessels, but, also wooden and earthen: and, some, indeed, for honour, while, some, are for dishonour:
If, therefore, anyone will, for pureness, sever himself from these, he shall be a vessel for honour, hallowed, meet for the Master’s use, for every good work, prepared.
22 Atahori soruꞌ ra tudꞌa reuꞌ ena, huu ara tungga hihii-nanau ao-sisi nara. Te, Timotius, musi munea aom malolole, fo afiꞌ tungga hihiiꞌ onaꞌ naa. Taoꞌ a maloleꞌ. Mumuhere mukundoo neu Lamatuaꞌ. Musodꞌa no susueꞌ ma mole-dꞌame mo basa atahori. Basa atahori mana ramahere neu Lamatuaꞌ, ma rasodꞌa no rala meumareꞌ, hiiꞌ a tao maloleꞌ rakandooꞌ a. Dadꞌi Timotius, ho musi musodꞌa onaꞌ se boe!
But, from the youthful covetings, flee! and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with them who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
Te basa naa ra soa tao atahori ra ratofa-rarauꞌ.
But, from the foolish and undisciplined questionings, excuse thyself, knowing that they gender strifes;
24 Atahori mana tao-ues fee Lamatuaꞌ, nda randaa dadꞌi mana tao nemuet sa. Ara musi malole ro basa atahori, ranori rahine atahori, raꞌatataaꞌ mbali atahori mana sangga-sanggaꞌ a nemuet.
And, a servant of the Lord, ought not to strive, but to be, gentle, towards all, apt in teaching, ready to endure malice, —
25 Ara o musi ranori no malolole atahori mana labꞌan se. No taꞌo naa, se bubꞌuluꞌ, Lamatualain natetu rala nara, fo raloeꞌ, naa fo ara simbo dꞌala ndoo-tetuꞌ a.
In meekness, bringing under discipline them that oppose themselves, lest at any time God should give them repentance unto a personal knowledge of truth,
And they should wake up to sobriety out of, the adversary’s, snare, —though they have been taken alive by him for, that one’s, will.
