Лукастар 14
1 Екхвар дэ суббота Исусо заджиля дэ цэр фарисеенгэрэ пхурэдэрэстэ, соб тэ ха мандро. И всавэрэ дыкхэнас пала Исусо.
One day--it was a Sabbath--He was taking a meal at the house of one of the Rulers of the Pharisee party, while they were closely watching Him.
2 Тай акэ, англа Исусо бэшля екх мануш, саво сля всаворо шуло панехкиря дукхатар.
In front of Him was a man suffering from dropsy.
3 Исусо пхучля сиклимарендар пав Упхэнима и фарисеендар: — Чи трэбуни пав Упхэнима тэ састярэ дэ суббота?
This led Jesus to ask the lawyers and Pharisees, "Is it allowable to cure people on the Sabbath?"
4 Вонэ ачиле мулком. Исусо лиляпэ насвалэстэ, састярда лэ и отмукля.
They gave Him no answer; so He took hold of the man, cured him, and sent him away.
5 Тунчи пхэнда лэнди: — Кала тумаро чяворо чи гурув тэлэдэла дэ ханиґ, чи тумэ на выцырдэна лэн екхатар и дэ суббота?
Then He turned to them and said, "Which of you shall have a child or an ox fall into a well on the Sabbath day, and will not immediately lift him out?"
6 Вонэ на джянгле, со тэ пхэнэ Исусости.
To this they could make no reply.
7 Кала Исусо дыкхля, сар мануша, савэн акхардэ, вытидэнас пэсти фэдэр тхана, Вов пхэнда кацави дума:
Then, when He noticed that the invited guests chose the best seats, He used this as an illustration and said to them,
8 — Кала тут акхарэна пэ бьяв, на бэш пэ фэдэр тхан. Кала машкар манушэн, савэн акхардэ пэ бьяв, авэла пативэдэр тутар,
"When any one invites you to a wedding banquet, do not take the best seat, lest perhaps some more honoured guest than you may have been asked,
9 тунчи кодэва, ко акхарда и тут, и лэ, поджяла и пхэнэла тути: «Уштав тхан кадэлэ манушэсти». И авэла тути ладжяво, и прыджялапэ тути тэ залэ шымай тхан.
and the man who invited you both will come and will say to you, 'Make room for this guest,' and then you, ashamed, will move to the lowest place.
10 Нэ кала акхарэна тут, бэш пэ шымай тхан. Тунчи кодэва, ко акхарда тут, поджяла тутэ и пхэнэла: «Морэ, бэш англэ!» И кодэла, ко бэшэна пала скаминдэ паша тут, дыкхэна, со тути дэне патив.
On the contrary, when you are invited go and take the lowest place, that when your host comes round he may say to you, 'My friend, come up higher.' This will be doing you honour in the presence of all the other guests.
11 Кодэва, ко ваздэлпэ упрэ, авэла тэлярдо. Нэ кодэва, ко тэлярэл еджино пэ, авэла ваздэно.
For whoever uplifts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be uplifted.
12 Пхэнда Исусо и манушэсти, саво акхарда Лэ: — Кала ту тховэх скаминд дивэсэ чи пашэ рятятэ, на акхар пала лэ ни тирэ амалэн, ни тирэ пхралэн, ни тиро родо, ни пашунэн, савэ исин барвалэ. Колэсти со и кадэла мануша акхарэна тут, кала терэна скаминд, и терэна тути кади, сар и ту лэнди тердан.
Also to His host, who had invited Him, He said, "When you give a breakfast or a dinner, do not invite your friends or brothers or relatives or rich neighbours, lest perhaps they should invite you in return and a requital be made you.
13 Нэ кала ту терэх скаминд, акхар пала лэ чёрорэн, помардэн, лангалэн и корэн.
But when you entertain, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind;
14 Бахтало ту авэґа, кала кадэла мануша на дэна тути павпалэ кода, со ту важ лэн стердан. Нэ рисявэлапэ вса тути дэ кодэва диво, кала дэвликунэ мануша отджювдёна мулэндар.
and you will be blessed, because they have no means of requiting you, but there will be requital for you at the Resurrection of the righteous."
15 Екх мануш, саво бэшэлас Исусоґа пала скаминдэ, пхэнда: — Бахтало мануш, саво хала мандро дэ Дэвлэхкэрэ Тхагарима!
After listening to this teaching, one of His fellow guests said to Him, "Blessed is he who shall feast in God's Kingdom."
16 Исусо пхэнда лэсти: — Екх мануш терда баро скаминд и акхарда бутэн манушэн.
"A man once gave a great dinner," replied Jesus, "to which he invited a large number of guests.
17 И кала авиля вряма, соб тэ бэшэн пала скаминдэ, бичалда бутярнэ, соб вов тэ пхэнэл акхардэ манушэнди: «Авэн, вса дожутярэл тумэн».
At dinner-time he sent his servant to announce to those who had been invited, "'Come, for things are now ready.'
18 Нэ всавэрэ мануша сар допхэндэпэ и ачиле тэ мангэ патив. Екх мануш пхэнда: «Мэ тиндом пхув, и манди трэбуни тэ джя и тэ дыкхэ ла. Мангав патив тутар!»
"But they all without exception began to excuse themselves. The first told him, "'I have purchased a piece of land, and must of necessity go and look at it. Pray hold me excused.'
19 Авэр мануш пхэнда: «Мэ тиндом дэшэн гурувэн, и манди трэбуни тэ дыкхэ, сар вонэ терэн бути. Мангав патив тутар!»
"A second pleaded, "'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and am on my way to try them. Pray hold me excused.'
20 Трито мануш пхэнда: «Мэ лилём хуланя, на выджял мандэ тэ авэ тутэ».
"Another said, "'I am just married. It is impossible for me to come.'
21 Кала бутярно рисиля, вов вса розпхэнда хулаести. Тунчи хулай холиля и пхэнда пэхкэрэ бутярнэсти: «Джя сигэдэр пав барэн и цыкнэн гасэн дэ форо тай стидэ кордэ чёрорэн, помардэн, корэн и лангалэн!»
"So the servant came and brought these answers to his master, and they stirred his anger. "'Go out quickly,' he said, 'into the streets of the city--the wide ones and the narrow. You will see poor men, and crippled, blind, lame: fetch them all in here.'
22 Бутярно пхэнда: «Хулае! Вса тердом, сар ту манди прыпхэндан, нэ инте исин тхана».
"Soon the servant reported the result, saying, "'Sir, what you ordered is done, and there is room still.'
23 Хулай пхэнда бутярнэсти: «Джя пав дромэн и паша грэдэн, и манг манушэн, соб муро цэр тэ авэл пхэрдо.
"'Go out,' replied the master, 'to the high roads and hedge-rows, and compel the people to come in, so that my house may be filled.
24 Пхэнав тумэнди, со нико кодэлэндар, савэ сле акхардэ майанглал, на хана муро хамо пала мурэ скаминдэ».
For I tell you that not one of those who were invited shall taste my dinner.'"
25 Джянас їтханэ Исусоґа бут манушэн. Тунчи Исусо обрисиля лэндэ и пхэнда:
On His journey vast crowds attended Him, towards whom He turned and said,
26 — Кала мануш, саво авэл Мандэ, на покамэла Ман будэр пэхкэрэн дадэ и да, ромня, чяворэн, пхралэн, пхэнен и будэр пэхкэрэ джювимастар, тунчи вов нисар на авэла Мурэ сиклярнэґа.
"If any one is coming to me who does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes and his own life also, he cannot be a disciple of mine.
27 Мануш, саво на лиджял пэхкоро трушул и на джял пала Ман, нисар на авэла Мурэ сиклярнэґа.
No one who does not carry his own cross and come after me can be a disciple of mine.
28 Кала ко тумэндар закамэла тэ ваздэ башня, чи на бэшэла вов англал и на бинэла, скици ловэ пэ када трэбуни, соб тэ дотерэ рындо?
"Which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not sit down first and calculate the cost, asking if he has the means to finish it? --
29 Кала вов чувэла фундаменто тала башня, нэ на дотерэла кадэва рындо, мануша асанапэ лэстар.
lest perhaps, when he has laid the foundation and is unable to finish, all who see it shall begin to jeer at him,
30 И пхэнэна: «Кадэва мануш ачиля тэ терэ бути, нэ на дотерда».
saying, 'This man began to build, but could not finish.'
31 Кала тхагари стидэлпэ пэ марима аврэ тхагареґа, чи на бэшэла вов англал и на гинисарэла, исин ли лэстэ зор дэшэ пхангленца манушэн тэ выджя пэ марима тхагареґа, кастэ исин биш пхангля манушэн?
Or what king, marching to encounter another king in war, does not first sit down and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand men to meet the one who is advancing against him with twenty thousand?
32 А кала нат, тунчи бичалэла пативалэн манушэн тхагарестэ, кала вов инте дур и мангэла лэстар пачя.
If not, while the other is still a long way off, he sends messengers and sues for peace.
33 Кади и тумэндар нико на авэла Мурэ сиклярнэґа, кала на ачявэла вса, со лэстэ исин.
Just as no one of you who does not detach himself from all that belongs to him can be a disciple of mine.
34 Лон — када мишто. Нэ кала лон хацарэла пэхкири зор, сар тэ терэ, соб тэ авэл вов лондо?
"Salt is good: but if even the salt has become tasteless, what will you use to season it?
35 Ни дэ пхув, ни дэ гуниво лэ на чувэґа. Лэ кици вычувэн аври. Кастэ исин кана тэ шунэ, мэк шунэл!
Neither for land nor dunghill is it of any use; they throw it away. Listen, every one who has ears to listen with!"
