1 Kana ćidije pe but milja manuša, gaći kaj lije te uštaven jekh avere. O Isus angleder golestar lija te vaćarol pe sikadenđe: “Aračhen tumen taro kvasaco e farisejengo, so si dujemujengo.
Meanwhile the people had gathered in thousands, so that they trod on one another, when Jesus, addressing himself to his disciples, began by saying to them, ‘Be on your guard against the leaven – that is, the hypocrisy – of the Pharisees.
2 Golese kaj naj garado khanči so ni ka pučardol, thaj naj učhardo khanči so ni ka šundol angle savorende.
There is nothing, however covered up, which will not be uncovered, nor anything kept secret which will not become known.
3 Golese so si vaćardo ano mrako, ka šundol ko svetlo. Thaj sa so vaćarden čorale ko kan ane phangle sobe, tare krovura ka šundol!”
So all that you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear, within closed doors, will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4 “Al vaćarav tumenđe, amalalen, ma daran tare kola so šaj mudaren o telo, golestar khanči aver našti ćeren tumenđe!
To you who are my friends I say, Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but after that can do no more.
5 Ka vaćarav tumenđe kastar te daran. Daran taro Dol savo šaj mudarol thaj isi le zor te čhudol ani jag savi ni ačhol. Va, phenav tumenđe, lestar daran! (Geenna g1067)
I will show you of whom you should be afraid. Be afraid of him who, after killing you, has the power to fling you into Gehenna. Yes, I say, be afraid of him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Ni li bićindon pandž čiriklja paše duj pare? Thaj ni jekha ni zabistrol o Dol.
Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? Yet not one of them has escaped God’s notice.
7 A tumenđe i tumare bala ko šoro si đinde. Golese ma daran! Tumen sen povredna tare pherdo čiriklja.”
No, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
8 “Gija vaćarav tumenđe: Dži jekh ko anglo manuša priznajil kaj pripadil manđe, le i me, o Čhavo e manušeso, ka priznajiv angle melekura.
Everyone, I tell you, who publicly acknowledges me, the Son of Man, also, will acknowledge before God’s angels;
9 Al ko man čhudol angle manuša, lestar i me ka odrekniv man angle Devlese melekura.
but the person who publicly disowns me will be altogether disowned before God’s angels.
10 Dži jekh ko vaćarol nesavo lafi protiv mande, protiv o Čhavo e manušeso, lese ka avol oprostimo. Al kova ko vaćarol bilačhe taro Sveto Duxo, lese ni ka avol oprostimo.
Everyone who will say anything against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but for the person who slanders the Holy Spirit there will be no forgiveness.
11 Kana ka anen tumen anglo sudo ke sinagoge thaj angle šorutne thaj anglo vlast, ma daran sar ka branin tumen thaj so ka vaćaren.
Whenever they take you before the synagogue Courts or the magistrates or other authorities, do not be anxious as to how you will defend yourselves, or what your defence will be, or what you will say;
12 Golese kaj o Sveto Duxo ka sikavol tumen ane gova sato so trubul te vaćaren.”
for the Holy Spirit will show you at the moment what you ought to say.’
13 Tegani vaćarda khoni tare manuša e Isusese: “Učitelju, vaćar mingre phralese te ulavol mancar kova so ačhada amenđe amaro dad.”
‘Teacher,’ a man in the crowd said to Jesus, ‘tell my brother to share the property with me.’
14 O Isus phenda lese: “Manušeja, ko man čhuta sudija il delioc pe tumende?”
But Jesus said to him, ‘Man, who made me a judge or an arbiter between you?’
15 Thaj vaćarda savorenđe o Isus: “Dičhen thaj aračhen tumen tari pohlepa! I sa gaći barvalipe te avol manuše, leso džuvdipe ni avol golestar so isi le.”
And then he added, ‘Take care to keep yourselves free from every form of covetousness; for even in the height of their prosperity a person’s true life does not depend on what they have.’
16 Pale gova o Isus vaćarda lenđe kava paramič: “Nesave barvale manušesi phuv bijanda but bijandipe.
Then Jesus told them this parable – ‘There was once a rich man whose land was very fertile;
17 Dija gođi ane peste vaćarindoj: ‘So ka ćerav? Naj ane soste te ćidav e milajeso ćidipe.’
and he began to ask himself “What will I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?
18 Thaj vaćarda: ‘Kava ka ćerav! Ka peravav mingre thana taro điv thaj ka ćerav len pobare thaj gothe ka ćidav mingro điv thaj sa so isi man.
This is what I will do,” he said; “I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and store all my grain and my goods in them;
19 Tegani ka vaćarav korkoro manđe: Isi tut baro barvalipe bute beršenđe. Ka odmori tut, ka xa, ka pije thaj ka veseli tut!’
and I will say to myself, Now you have plenty of good things put by for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.”
20 Al o Dol lese vaćarda: ‘Bigođaleja! Vadži kaja rat ka lol pe ćiri duša tutar. Thaj kase ka ačhol sa gova so steknisadan?’
But God said to the man “Fool! This very night your life is being demanded; and as for all you have prepared – who will have it?”
21 Gija si kolesa savo ćidol pese barvalipe ki phuv, a ni ćidol barvalipe savo si šukar ane Devlese jakha.”
So it is with those who lay by wealth for themselves and are not rich to the glory of God.’
22 Tegani o Isus pe sikadenđe phenda: “Golese vaćarav tumenđe: Ma daran za ko tumaro džuvdipe dal ka avol tumen so te xan, ni tumare telose so ka uraven!
And Jesus said to his disciples, ‘That is why I say to you, Do not be anxious about the life here – what you can get to eat; or about your body – what you can get to wear.
23 Golese kaj si o džuvdipe pobut taro xape thaj tumaro telo pobut taro urajipe.
For life is more than food, and the body than its clothes.
24 Dičhen e gavranuren! Sar ni sejin, ni ćiden, naj len ni podrumo ni kaj čhuven o điv, thaj o Dol parvarol len Kozom sen tumen povredna tare čiriklja?
Think of the ravens – they neither sow nor reap; they have neither storehouse nor barn; and yet God feeds them! And how much more precious are you than birds!
25 A šaj li khoni tumendar golesa so brinil pe te baravol piro džuvdipe paše jekh đive?
But which of you, by being anxious, can prolong your life a moment?
26 Kana našti ni gova zala te ćeren, sose brinin tumen za ko sa aver?
And, if you cannot do even the smallest thing, why be anxious about other things?
27 Dičhen e luluđa ki livada sar baron! Ni ćeren bući, ni suven pese šeja, a me vaćarav tumenđe kaj ni o caro o Solomon ane pe barvale šeja naj sasa urado sar jekh lendar.
Think of the lilies, and how they grow. They neither toil nor spin; yet, I tell you, even Solomon in all his splendour was not robed like one of these.
28 Te o Dol e čara gija uravol ko polje, savi si ađive thaj theara čhudol pe ani jag, dal ni ka brinil pe tumenđe vadži pobut? Sose gaći zala pačan?
If, even in the field, God so clothes the grass which is living today and tomorrow will be thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, you of little faith!
29 Golese, ma brinin tumen, isi li tumen so te xan il so te pijen. Ma daran!
And you – do not be always seeking what you can get to eat or what you can get to drink; and do not waver.
30 Gija ćeren ke kava sveto e manuša save ni džanen e Devlese. Tumaro Dad ano nebo džanol kaj sa gova trubul tumenđe.
These are the things for which all the nations of the world are seeking, and your Father knows that you need them.
31 Nego roden o Carstvo e Devleso thaj aver ka dodol pe tumenđe.
No, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added for you.
32 Ma daran, mingre cikne bakre! Tumaro Dad manglja te dol tumen te aven ano Carstvo.
So do not be afraid, my little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
33 Bićinen so isi tumen thaj den e čororenđe! Ćeren tumenđe traste za ke pare save ni phuravon thaj barvalipe ko nebo savo ni ka ciknjol. Khoni našti te avol odori te čorol tumaro barvalipe thaj ni jekh moljco ni ka xal le.
‘Sell what belongs to you, and give in charity. Make yourselves purses that will not wear out – an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near, or moth works ruin.
34 Golese, kaj si tumaro barvalipe, gothe ka avol i tumaro ilo.”
For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.
35 O Isus vaćarda lenđe: “Aven spremna thaj urade za ki bući thaj tumare svetiljke te aven phabarde,
Make yourselves ready, with your lamps alight;
36 sar manuša save ađućaren pe gospodare savo iril pe taro abav, te aven spremna te putren lese kana resol thaj marol ko vudar.
and be like servants who are waiting for their Master’s return from his wedding, so that, when he comes and knocks, they may open the door for him at once.
37 E kandine save si spremna thaj ađućaren pe gospodare te iril pe, ka aven blagoslovime. Čače vaćarav tumenđe, o gospodari korkoro ka uravol pe sar kandino thaj ka phenol lenđe te bešen thaj ka avol te kandol len thaj ka dol len te xan.
Happy are those servants whom, on his return, the Master will find watching. I tell you that he will make himself ready, and have them take their places at the table, and will come and serve them.
38 O gospodari šaj ka avol ki opaš i rat il anglo uštipe taro sojipe. Blagoslovime si e kandine save ađućaren.
Whether it is late at night, or in the early morning that he comes, if he finds all as it should be, then happy are they.
39 A kava džanen: kana bi džanola o čherutno ke savo sato ka avol o čor, ne bi dola te avol leso čher phago.
This you do know, that, had the owner of the house known at what time the thief was coming, he would have been on the watch, and would not have let his house be broken into.
40 Thaj tumen aven spremna, golese so me, o Čhavo e manušeso, ka avav kana ni ka den gođi ane savo sato.”
You must also prepare, for when you are least expecting him the Son of Man will come.’
41 A o Petar pučlja e Isuse: “Gospode! Vaćare li amenđe e sikadenđe kaja paramič, il savorenđe?”
‘Master,’ said Peter, ‘are you telling this parable with reference to us or to everyone?’
42 A o Isus vaćarda lese: “Savo si devlikano thaj džanglo kandino kas leso gospodari ka čhuvol upreder pe čherese kandine te dol len te xan ko vreme?
‘Who, then,’ replied the Master, ‘is that trustworthy steward, the careful man, who will be placed by his master over his establishment, to give them their rations at the proper time?
43 Blagoslovimo si gova kandino kas o gospodari kana avol aračhol le sar ćerol gijate!
Happy will that servant be whom his master, when he comes home, will find doing this.
44 Čače vaćarav tumenđe, o gospodari pe sa piro barvalipe ka čhuvol e kandino.
His master, I tell you, will put him in charge of the whole of his property.
45 Ako vaćarol o kandino ane po ilo: ‘O gospodari ni ka avol sigate’ thaj lol te marol avere kandinen thaj e sluškinjen thaj xal em pijol thaj matol.
But should that servant say to himself “My master is a long time coming,” and begin to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
46 O gospodari ka avol ano đive kana vov ni ađućarol thaj ano sato kana ni dol gođi, ka čhinol e kandino ke kotora thaj ka čhuvol le maškar kola save ni pačan ano Dol.
that servant’s master will come on a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour of which he is unaware, and will flog him severely and assign him his place among the untrustworthy.
47 A kova kandino savo džanglja so leso gospodari manđol thaj naj spremno thaj ni ćerda pale leso manglipe ka avol but mardo.
The servant who knows his master’s wishes and yet does not prepare and act accordingly will receive many lashes;
48 A okova kandino savo ni džanglja e gospodaresi volja, a ćerda khanči sose ka avol mardo, ka marol pe zala. Kase dija pe but, but ka rodol pe lestar. Kase poverimo but, po but ka rodol pe lestar.”
while one who does not know his master’s wishes, but acts so as to deserve a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone to whom much has been given much will be expected, and from the man to whom much has been entrusted the more will be demanded.
49 Thaj o Isus vaćarda: “Me aviljem te čhudav i jag e sudosi ki phuv. O, sar bi mangava te avol već phabardi!
I came to cast fire on the earth; and what more can I wish, if it is already kindled?
50 Al me trubul te krstima mučimasa thaj but manđe pharo sa dok ni ćerdol gova!
There is a baptism that I must undergo, and how great is my distress until it is over!
51 Dal den gođi kaj me aviljem te anav mir ki phuv? Na, me aviljem te anav ulaipe maškare manuša.
Do you think that I am here to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but to cause division.
52 Golese od akana ka aven ulade e pandž čherutne: trin manuša ka aven ke mingri rig, a duj ka aven protiv gola trin.
For from this time, if there are five people in a house, they will be divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 Ka uštol o dad protiv o čhavo thaj o čhavo protiv o dad, i dej protiv i čhej thaj i čhej protiv i dej, i sasuj protiv i bori thaj i bori protiv piri sasuj.”
Father will be opposed to son and son to father, mother to daughter and daughter to mother, mother-in-law to her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law to her mother-in-law.’
54 Thaj o Isus vaćarda e manušenđe: “Kana dičhen kaj e kale oblakura ćiden pe nakaro zapad tumen phenen: ‘Ka dolpese bršnd’, i gija avol.
And to the people Jesus said, ‘When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once “There is a storm coming,” and come it does.
55 Kana dičhen taro jug phurdol, vaćaren: ‘Ka avol tatipe’ thaj gija avol.
And when you see that the wind is in the south, you say “It will be burning hot,” and so it proves.
56 Dujemujenđe! O muj e phuvako thaj neboso pindžaren, a sar ni pindžaren akala znakura so ćerdon akana?
Hypocrites! You know how to judge of the earth and the sky; how is it, then, that you cannot judge of this time?
57 Tumen korkore trubul te džanen so si šukar!
Why don’t you yourselves decide what is right?
58 Te khoni tužil tumen zbog o dugo savo ni irisaden thaj inđarol tumen ko sudo, odrumal miri tut lesa, te ma vucil tut ko sudo, golese so o sudija šaj osudil tut thaj te dol tut ke piro manuš te phandol tut ano phanglipe.
When, for instance, you are going with your opponent before a magistrate, on your way to the court do your best to be quit of him; otherwise he might drag you before the judge, then the judge will hand you over to the bailiff of the court, and the bailiff throw you into prison.
59 A ako phandol tut vaćarav tuće: Ni ka iklje gothar dok ni poćine dži i paluni para.”
You will not, I tell you, come out until you have paid the very last cent.’
