< Luka 4 >

1 O Isus, pherdo e Sveto Duhosa, boldape katar e reka Jordan thaj o Sveto Duho inđardale ande pustinja,
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River and was led by the Spirit into the desert,
2 okote o beng iskušilas las štarvardeš đesa thaj khanči či hala pale godoja vrjama, a kana nakhline godola đesa vo bokhajlo.
where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. He didn't eat anything during that whole time, so at the end he was starving.
3 A o beng phendas lešće: “Ako san Čhavo e Devlesko, phen akale barešće te postanil mangro.”
The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 A o Isus phendas lešće: “Ando Sveto lil ačhel ramome: ‘Či trail o manuš samo katar o mangro.’”
“It is written in Scripture, ‘You shall not live on bread alone,’” Jesus answered.
5 O beng inđarda les pe vuči gora thaj sikadas lešće sa e carstvurja akale themešće ando treno e jakhako.
The devil led him up to a high place, and in a rapid view showed him all the kingdoms of the world.
6 Thaj phendas lešće o beng: “Tuće dava sa akaja vlast thaj e slava lenđi, kaj si manđe predaime thaj me šaj te dava len kašće me kamav.
Then the devil said to Jesus, “I will give you authority over all of them, and their glory. This authority has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want.
7 Ako peres pe koča angle mande thaj slavis man, sa avela ćiro.”
Bow down and worship me and you can have it all.”
8 A o Isus phendas lešće: “Ando Sveto lil ačhel ramome: ‘De koča samo anglo Gospod ćiro Del, thaj jedino les slavisar.’”
“It is written in Scripture, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve only him,’” Jesus replied.
9 Thaj o beng inđarda les ando Jerusalim thaj čhuta les po vrho e Hramosko thaj phendas lešće: “Ako san tu Čhavo e Devlesko, čhude tut katar tele
The devil took Jesus to Jerusalem, set him on the top of the Temple, and told him, “If you are the Son of God, then jump!
10 kaj ando Sveto lil ramol: ‘Pire anđelenđe zapovedila pale tute te len sama pe tute’,
For it is written in Scripture, ‘He will order his angels to care for you,
11 thaj: ‘von pe vas inđarena tut te či pećes e pungresa ando bar.’”
holding you up to protect you from stumbling over a stone.’”
12 A o Isus phendas lešće: “Ramome si vi akava: ‘Na iskušisar e Gospode ćire Devle.’”
“It is written in Scripture, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God,’” Jesus replied.
13 Thaj kana o beng završisarda te iskušil les, đelotar lestar pale varesošći vrjama.
When the devil had completed all his temptations, he waited for another opportunity.
14 O Isus boldape ando galilejako krajo pherdo e Sveto Duhošće silava thaj o glaso pale leste buljilo pe sasto godova krajo.
Jesus returned to Galilee, full of the Spirit's power. News about him spread everywhere.
15 Sikavelas pe lenđe sinagoge, thaj savora šukar mothonas pale leste.
Jesus taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.
16 Thaj avilo ando gav savo akhardolas Nazaret kaj barilo thaj pe piro običajo ando savato dija ande sinagoga thaj uštilo te čitol.
When he arrived in Nazareth, where he had grown up, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day as usual.
17 Dine les o lil katar o proroko Isaija, putardas o lil thaj arakhla o than kaj si ramome:
The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Jesus unrolled the scroll and found the place where it's written:
18 “O Duho e Gospodesko si pe mande zato makhlas mungro šoro e uljeja thaj bičhalda man te anav e Bahtali nevimata e čorenđe, bičhalda man te propovediv e phanglenđe kaj avena mukline, thaj e korenđe kaj dićhena, a e mučime kaj avena oslobodime
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to announce good news to the destitute. He has sent me to proclaim that prisoners will be released, the blind will see, the oppressed will be freed,
19 thaj te proglasiv o brš milosti e Gospodesko”.
and to proclaim the time of the Lord's favor.”
20 Phandada o Lil, dijala ko sluga thaj bešlo te sikavel, a savora save sas ande sinagoga dićhenas pe leste.
He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant. Then he sat down. Everybody in the synagogue was staring at him.
21 Thaj počnisarda te phenel lenđe: “Ađes akava Lil savo ašundine tumare kanenca pherdilo.”
“This Scripture you've just heard has been fulfilled today!” he told them.
22 Savora phenenas sa majšukar pale leste thaj divinaspe e šukar alavenđe kaj inkljenas andar lesko muj thaj phenenas: “Naj li akava o čhavo e Josifesko?”
Everybody expressed their approval of him, amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn't this Joseph's son?” they wondered.
23 Askal phendas lenđe: “Tumen manđe bi sumnjako mothona akaja poslovica: ‘Doktorina! Sastar korkoro tut!’ Ćer vi akate ande ćiro gav kaj barilan so ašundam kaj ćerdan ando Kafarnaum.”
Jesus replied, “I'm sure you'll repeat this proverb to me, ‘Physician, heal yourself!’ and ask, ‘Why don't you do here in your own hometown what we heard you did in Capernaum?’
24 Askal ačhilo majdur te mothol: “Čačes phenav tumenđe: ‘Nijek proroko či lačhe avilo ande piro gav kaj bajrilo.’
But I tell you the truth, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
25 A čačes phenav tumenđe: E but udovice sas ando Izrael ande vrjama kana sas o Ilija proroko, askal o nebo phandadilo pe trin brš thaj šov čhon thaj sas bari bok pe sasti phuv e Izraelošći.
I guarantee that there were many widows in Israel during the time of Elijah when there was a drought for three and a half years, causing a great famine throughout the country.
26 Ali nijećhaće lendar nas bičhaldo o Ilija osim varesave udovicaće ando gav Sarepta, savo sas ando Sidonsko krajo.
Yet Elijah wasn't sent to any of them. He was sent to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon!
27 Thaj but gubavcurja sas ando Izrael pale vrjama kano sas o Jelisej proroko ali ni jek lendar či sastilo nego samo o Neman andar e Sirija.”
Even though there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha, the only one who was healed was Naaman the Syrian!”
28 Thaj savora ande sinagoga zurale holjajle kana ašundine akava.
When they heard this everyone in the synagogue became furious.
29 Uštile thaj tradine les avri andar o gav thaj inđardine les po vrho e gorako kaj sas sazidome lengo gav te čhuden les opral.
They jumped to their feet and threw him out of the town. Then they dragged him to the top of the hill on which the town was built in order to throw him off the cliff.
30 Ali vo nakhlo maškar lende thaj đelotar.
But he walked right through them and went on his way.
31 Thaj avilo ando galilejsko gav savo akhardolas Kafarnaum thaj sikavelas len ando savato.
Jesus went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee. On Sabbath he started teaching them.
32 A o but o them čudilaspe lešće sikavipešće kaj lesko svato sas pherdo sile.
They were amazed at what he taught them for he spoke with authority.
33 Ande sinagoga sas varesavo manuš ande savo sas bilačho duho e benđesko, vo čhutas muj zurale glasosa:
In the synagogue there was a man who was possessed by a demon. He cried out,
34 “So kames amendar, Isuse andar o gav Nazaret? Avilan te uništis men? Džanav ko san: Sveco e Devlesko.”
“So, what do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: God's Holy One!”
35 A o Isus zapovedisardas lešće: “Phandav ćiro muj thaj inklji andar leste!” Askal o bilačho duho harada les angle savorende, inkljisto andar leste thaj ni cara či naudisardas lešće.
Jesus interrupted him, saying. “Be quiet!” Then he ordered the demon, “Come out of him!” Throwing him to the ground right before them, the demon left the man without injuring him.
36 Savora sas but začudime thaj phenenas jek avrešće: “Sosko si godova svato, te ando autoriteto thaj ande sila zapovedil e bilačhe duhonenđe thaj von inkljen!”
They were all amazed and asked each other, “What is this teaching? With power and authority he orders evil spirits to leave—and they do!”
37 Thaj o glaso pale leste buljilo pe sa e okolne thana.
News about Jesus spread throughout the nearby region.
38 Kana inkljisto andar e sinagoga, dija ande Simonesko ćher. E Simonešće sokra astardas e bari groznica, pa zamolisardine les te sastarel lat.
Leaving the synagogue, Jesus went to Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was sick with a high fever and those who were there asked Jesus to help.
39 Vo banđilo paše late thaj zapovedisardas e groznicaće te mućela thaj e groznica nestanisardas. Voj odma uštili thaj ačhili te služil len.
Jesus went and stood over her. He told the fever to leave her—which it did. She got up right away and prepared a meal for them.
40 Kana nakhlas o savatosko đes, sa e nasvalen katar razne nasvalimata, anenas len ko Isus, a vo pe savorende čholas pire vas thaj von sastonas.
When the sun set, they brought to him all who were sick, suffering from various diseases. Jesus placed his hands on them, one after the other, and he healed them.
41 A vi e bilačhe duhurja inkljenas andar e but e manuša thaj čhonas muj thaj phenenas: “Tu san Čhavo e Devlesko!” A vo pretilas lenđe thaj zabranisardas lenđe te na ćeren svato, kaj von džanenas kaj si vo o Hristo.
Demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God.” But Jesus stopped them and refused to let them speak because they knew he was the Christ.
42 A kana svanosardas o đes, inkljisto thaj đelotar po pusto than. A o them rodelas les. Kana arakhline les avile leste thaj kamline te ačhaven les te na džaltar lendar.
Early the following morning Jesus left to find some peace and quiet. But the crowds went out looking for him, and finally found him. They tried to stop him leaving because they did not want him to go.
43 A vo phendas lenđe: “Vi e manušenđe andar e aver gava trubul te anav e Bahtali nevimata pale Devlesko carstvo, kaj zato o Del bičhalda man.”
But he told them, “I have to go to other towns to tell them the good news of the kingdom of God too, because that is what I was sent to do.”
44 Thaj nastavisarda te propovedil pe judejske sinagoge.
So Jesus went on traveling around, teaching the good news in the synagogues of Judea.
