1 Пативало Феофило, бут мануша линэ тэ стидэн и тэ запистросарэн роспхэнимос пала кода, со сас. Када роспхэндэ амэнди мануша, савэ майанглал дикхэнас вся пэстирэ якхэнца тай ашыле бутярнэ Лавэстирэ. Важ кода мэ тховдэм андо води мишто вся тэ ужанав, со сас майанглал, и екх пала авэр тэ запистросарав тути.
Whereas many have undertaken to compose a narrative of the things, which have been fully certified among us;
as they delivered them to us, who were from the beginning eye-witnesses of them, and ministers of the word;
it seemed good to me also, having thoroughly traced them all from the very first, to write an account of them in order to thee,
4 Тунчи ту полэса: кода, со ту ашундян, исин чячимос.
most excellent Theophilus, that thou mayst know the certainty of the things wherein thou hast been instructed.
5 Андэ деса, кала андэ Иудея сас тхагараса Иродо, сас мануш, савэс акхарэнас Захария, андай рашая Авиястирэ стидимастар, и лэстэ сас ромни андав родо Аароноско, акхарэнас ла Елизавета.
There was in the days of Herod king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia; and his wife was of the family of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 Онэ лэдуй сас жужэ англав Дэл, жувэнас пав всаворо запхэнимос Раеско бидошако.
And they were both righteous in the sight of God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 Лэндэ на сас бэяцэн, колэстар со Елизавета сас бибэяцэндири, и онэ лэдуй сас андэ бэрша пхурэ.
And they had no child, for Elisabeth was barren; and they were both far advanced in years.
8 Екхвар авиля вряма рашаенди лэстирэ стидимастар тэ терэл бути англав Дэл.
And it came to pass, while he was in the order of his course performing the priest's office before God,
9 Сар сас прилито машкар рашая, онэ шутэ жребиё, и прижыляпэ Захариясти тэ зажал андо храмо лэ Раеско тэ пхабарэл ладано.
according to the custom of dividing the office of the priests, that it fell to his lot to burn incense, entring into the temple of the Lord:
10 Андэ кодья ж вряма, кала вов пхабарэлас ладано, всаворэ мануша мангэнаспэ Дэвлэс аври.
and all the people were praying without at the time of offering incense.
11 Тунчи вов удикхля ангелос Раестирэс, саво тэрдёлас пай право риг лэ жэртвеникоско, кай пхаболас о ладано.
And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right hand of the altar of incense.
12 Захария сар удикхля лэс, бари дар авиля пэр лэстэ, и вов на жангля, со тэ терэл.
And when Zacharias saw him, he was startled and struck with fear:
13 Ангело пхэндя лэсти: — На дара, Захария! Ашундя о Дэл мангимос тиро. И ромни тири, Елизавета, бэянэла тути шаворэс, и акхарэса лэс Иоано.
but the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias; for thy prayer is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John:
14 Авэла тути баро радомос, и бут мануша авэна тэ радонпэ, кай вов бэяндиля.
and he shall be a joy and transport to thee, yea, many shall rejoice on account of his birth; for he shall be great in the sight of the Lord,
15 Вов авэла баро англав Рай, на авэла тэ пэл ни мол, ни матимаско пимо и пхэрдёла Свэнто Духоса майанглал, сар вов бэяндёла.
and he shall drink neither wine nor any other strong liquor; and he shall be filled with the holy Spirit even from his birth;
16 Бутэн Израилёстирэ шавэн вов рисарэла палпалэ кав лэнго Рай о Дэл
and many of the children of Israel shall he convert unto the Lord their God.
17 и авэла тэ жал англав Лэстэ андо духо и зор Илиястири, кай тэ рисарэл и водя лэ дадэндирэ кай лэнди бэяцэ, и найкандунэн кав гындо чячимастирэн манушэн, кай тэ гытосарэ манушэн, кала авэла о Рай Дэл.
And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to prepare for the Lord a people well-disposed.
18 Захария пхэндя ангелости: — Сар мэ ужанава када? Мэ пхуро, тай ромни мэрни найтэрни.
And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife far advanced in years.
19 Ангело пхэндя лэсти: — Мэ Гавриило, саво тэрдював англав Дэл, бишалдо тэ дав дума туса и тэ пхэнав тути кадва радосаво лав.
And the angel answering said to him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God, and I am sent to speak to thee, and to tell thee this good news:
20 Акэ, ту авэса муто и на дэса дума кай кодва дес, кала када вся авэла, важ кода со ту на патяйлян мэрнэ лавэнди, савэ терэнапэ андэ пэсти вряма.
and now shalt thou be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall come to pass; because thou believedst not my words, which shall be fulfilled at their season.
21 Андэ кадья вряма мануша ажутярэнас Захарияс и дивонаспэ, состар вов бут вряма на выжалас андав храмо.
And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and wondered at his staying so long in the temple:
22 Кала Захария выжыля котар, вов на дэлас дума, и мануша полинэ, со вов андо храмо варисо дикхля. Вов сикавэлас вастэнца лэнди и ашэласпэ муто.
but when he came out he could not speak to them, and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he made signs to them, and continued speechless:
23 А сар прожыле кола деса, кала вов терэлас рашаендири бути, тунчи рисайля пэстэ черэ.
and as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 Прожыля вряма, Елизавета, и ромни лэстири, ашыля пхари. Панч шон вой гарадёлас манушэндар и пхэнэлас:
And after these days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and retired five months,
25 — Акэ, со стердя манди Рай Дэл андэ кадэла деса, кала Вов обрисардя мандэ пэстирэ якха, кай тэ злэл пар мандэ о лажавимос мэрно англай мануша!
saying, the Lord hath thus dealt with me in the days wherein he looked upon me to take away my reproach among men.
26 Кала Елизавета сас шов шон пхари, о Дэл бишалдя ангелос Гавриилос андо форо галилейско, саво акхарэлпэ Назарето,
But in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee called Nazareth,
27 кай щиёры, савя акхарэнас Мария. Вой дя лав тэ жал палав ром палав Иосифо, саво сас андав родо лэ Давидоско.
to a virgin who was betrothed to a man, whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the name of the virgin was Mary.
28 Ангело авиля латэ и пхэндя: — Тэ авэс бахтали! Тути дяпэ мищимос! О Рай Дэл туса!
And when the angel came in to the room to her, he said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured; the Lord is with thee;
29 Мария на жангля, со тэ пхэнэл, и гындолас, важ со вов кади пхэндя.
blessed art thou among women! and when she saw him, she was confused at what he said, and pondered in her mind what sort of salutation this could be.
30 Ангело пхэндя: — На дара, Мария! Ту аракхлян мищимос кав Дэл!
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favor with God:
31 Акэ, ту авэса пхари, и бэянэса Шавэс, и акхарэса Лэс Исусо.
and behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS:
32 Вов авэла баро, и Лэс акхарэна Шаво Майбарэско. Рай Дэл дэла Лэсти троно Давидоско, лэ прапапос Лэстирэс.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God shall give Him the throne of David his father,
33 Вов по вако авэла Тхагараса англав родо Иаковоско, и тхагаримос Лэско никала на пэрэашэла тэ авэл. (aiōn g165)
and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (aiōn g165)
34 Мария пхэндя ангелости: — Сар када авэла? Мэ инке на сымас палав ром!
Then said Mary to the angel, How can this be, since I am a virgin?
35 Ангело пхэндя лати: — Свэнто Духо сжала пэр тутэ, и зор Майбарэско ушарэла тут, и свэнто Бэято, Саво тутэ бэяндёла, акхарэлапэ Шаво Дэвлэско.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee, and therefore thine holy offspring shall be called the Son of God: and lo,
36 Акэ Елизавета андав родо тиро, палай сави пхэнэнас, со латэ на авэна бэяцэ, подикх, вой шовто шон пхари. Андо пхуримос лако бэяндёла латэ шаво.
thy cousin Elisabeth also hath conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month with her that was called barren;
37 О Дэл терэла вся, со Вов закамэла.
for nothing is impossible with God.
38 Пхэндя Мария: — Мэ бутярни Рае Дэвлэстири. Мэк авэла манди, сар ту пхэндян. И ангело отжыля латар.
Then Mary said, Behold the servant of the Lord, may it be unto me according to thy word. So the angel departed from her.
39 Андэ кадэла деса Мария вщиля и сыго жыля андо форо, саво сас андо плаенго тхан Иудеяко.
Then Mary arose and went with speed into the hill-country, to a city of Juda,
40 Вой зажыля андо чер кав Захария и пхэндя ла Елизаветати: — Тэ авэс бахтали!
and came into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 Кала Елизавета ашундя лава Мариятирэ, подхукля о бэято андэ Елизавета, и пхэрдиля вой Свэнто Духоса.
And as soon as Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the child leaped in her womb, and Elisabeth was filled with the holy Spirit:
42 Вой зацыписайля фартэ гласоса и пхэндя: — Тут авэна тэ лашарэн майбут аврэ жувляндар! И лашарэна тирэ Бэятос, Савэс ту пхиравэс!
and she cried out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb:
43 Сости манди када, со мандэ авиля дэй мэрнэ Рае Дэвлэстири?
and whence is this honor to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 Кала мэ ашундэм, сар ту пхэндян манди, тэ авав бахтали, подхукля андэр мандэ о бэято радомостар.
for behold, as soon as the voice of thy salutation reached my ears, the child in my womb leaped for joy:
45 Бахтали кодья, сави патяйля, со терэлапэ кода, со пхэндя лати Рай Дэл!
and blessed is she that believed; for there shall be a performance of the things that were told her from the Lord.
46 И пхэндя Мария: — Лашарэл о води мэрно лэ Рае Дэвлэс.
And Mary said, "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour;
47 И радосайля о духо мэрно палав Дэл, Фэрисаримари мэрно.
for He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaid:
48 Вов удикхля, со мэ цэкни бутярни Лэстири. Акала вряматар всаворэ родоря авэна тэ акхарэн ман бахталяса.
for behold, from henceforth shall all generations call me blessed:
49 Со зорало Дэл тердя манди баро рындо, и свэнто алав Лэско!
for He that is mighty hath done great things for me,
50 Тангимос Лэско андэ всаворэ родоря, ко пативаса дарал Лэс.
and his name is holy, and his mercy is on them that fear Him, unto all generations.
51 Вов тердя барэ рындоря Пэстирэ зоралэ вастэса, рострадя колэн, савэ пхутярдэ годяса и водеса,
He hath wrought powerfully with his arm; He hath confounded those that were proud in the imagination of their heart.
52 Сшута раен пай лэндирэ троноря и вазгля упрэ цэкнэн машкар мануша.
He hath cast down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the humble.
53 Бокхалэн пхэрдярдя мищимаса и барвалэн отмэкля нисоса.
He hath filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He hath sent away empty.
54 Вов сэрэсардя, со пхэнэлас лэ дадэнди, лэ Авраамости и лэстирэ бэяцэнди, тэ авэл тангимаско по вако, и подритярдя Израилёс, Пэстирэс бутярнэс. (aiōn g165)
He hath supported Israel his servant,
in remembrance of his mercy (even as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed, ) for ever." (aiōn g165)
56 Мария сас лэ Елизаветаса варикай трин шон и рисайля андо пэско чер.
And Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her own house.
57 Кала авиля вряма, Елизавета бэяндя шаворэс.
Now when Elisabeth's time for her delivery was fully come, she brought forth a son:
58 Ашундэ мануша, савэ жувэнас паша лэндэ, и о родо лако, со дя Рай Дэл о тангимос Пэско лати, и радонаспэ ласа.
and her neighbours and kindred heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her, and they congratulated her;
59 По охто дес онэ авиле тэ обшынэн лэ бэятос и камле тэ акхарэн лэс, сар акхарэн лэсти дадэс — Захария,
and on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child: and they would have called him Zacharias, after the name of his father:
60 а лэстири дэй пхэндя: — Нат, акхараса лэс Иоаноса.
but his mother said, No, but he shall be called John:
61 И пхэндэ лати: — Никас на сас андо родо тиро, савэс акхарэнас кадя.
and they said to her, There is none of thy relations of this name.
62 И пушэнас, сикавэнас лэ вастэнца кав лэско дад, сар вов камэл тэ акхарэл лэ бэятос.
And they made signs to his father, what name he would have him called by.
63 Захария мангля каштуни сандёры и пистросардя лэнди: «Алав лэско — Иоано». Всаворэ дивосайле.
And he called for a writing-tablet, and wrote upon it, His name is John: and they all wondered.
64 Андэ кодья ж вряма отпхэрнэпэ лэстирэ ушта, и вов ля тэ дэл дума и тэ лашарэл Дэвлэс.
And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake and praised God.
65 И сас дар пэ всаворэ, ко жувэлас паша лэндэ, и роспхэнэнас пала када пав всаворэ плаендирэ тхана Иудеятирэ.
And an awe fell upon all that dwelt round about them; and all these things were divulged through the whole hill-country of Judea.
66 Всаворэ, ко ашундя када, тховдэ андо води пэско и пхэнэнас: — Каса авэла када бэято? И о васт лэ Рае Дэвлэско сас лэса.
And all that heard them, laid them up in their hearts, saying, What a child will this be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.
67 О Захария, дад лэско, пхэрдиля Свэнто Духоса и пхэндя лав Дэвлэстар:
And his father Zacharias was filled with the holy Spirit,
68 — Бахтало исин Рай, Дэл Израилёско, со авиля кай пэстирэ мануша и вытиндя лэн.
and prophesied, saying, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He hath visited and wrought redemption for his people,
69 Бишалдя амэнди зоралэс Фэрисаримарес андав чер и родо Давидоско, бутярнэс Пэстирэс,
and hath raised up an horn of salvation for us,
in the house of his servant David, as He spake by the mouth of his holy prophets from the beginning, (aiōn g165)
71 со фэрисарэла амэн лэ вражымарендар амарэндар и вастэндар кодэлэндар, савэ амэн на камэн.
even salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us,
72 Вов тангосардя амарэ дадэн и сэрэсардя Пэско свэнто завето,
to display his mercy towards our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant,
73 сар Вов солахадя амарэ дадэсти Авраамости,
according to the oath which He sware to Abraham our father,
74 со Вов фэрисарэла амэн лэ вастэндар амарэ вражымарендар, кай амэ бидарако тэ терас бути Лэсти,
to grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him,
75 тэ жувас англав Лэстэ свэнто и жужо всаворо пэско жувимос.
all the days of our life.
76 И тут, бэято, акхарэна пророкоса Майбарэстирэса, колэсти со ту авэса тэ жас англав Рай Дэл, кай тэ гытос о дром Лэсти,
And thou, my child, shalt be called the prophet of the most High; for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord,
77 тэ роспхэнэ Пэстирэ манушэнди, со фэрисаримос дэлпэ, кала авэна эртисардэ лэндирэ бэзэха.
to make known salvation to his people,
78 Амаро Дэл камэл и тангол, и Вов бишалэла амэнди дэнзорутно удуд упрал.
in the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day-spring hath visited us from on high,
79 Вов дэла удуд колэнди, савэ жувэн андэ калимос, и миримос пхирэл паша лэндэ, и тэ тховэл пэрнэ амарэ по дром кав миро!
to enlighten them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace."
80 Бэято барёлас и терэласпэ майзор духоса, и жувэлас андэ мал жы кола вряматэ, кала сикавэла пэс манушэнди Израилёстирэнди.
And the child grew, and became strong in spirit: and he was in the deserts till the time of his being manifested to Israel.
