1 O livro da genealogia de Jesus Cristo, o filho de David, o filho de Abraão.
A record of the genealogy of Yeshua the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham tornou-se o pai de Isaac. Isaac se tornou o pai de Jacob. Jacó se tornou o pai de Judá e seus irmãos.
Abraham became the father of Isaac. Isaac became the father of Jacob. Jacob became the father of Judah and his brothers.
3 Judá tornou-se o pai de Perez e Zerah por Tamar. Pérez se tornou o pai de Hezron. Hezron se tornou o pai de Ram.

11 Josias tornou-se o pai de Jeconias e seus irmãos na época do exílio na Babilônia.

Jacob became the father of Joseph, the husband of Miriam, from whom was born Yeshua, who is called Messiah.
17 Assim, todas as gerações de Abraão a Davi são catorze gerações; de Davi ao exílio à Babilônia, catorze gerações; e do transporte para a Babilônia ao Cristo, catorze gerações.
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the exile to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.
18 Agora o nascimento de Jesus Cristo foi assim: Depois que sua mãe, Maria, foi noiva de José, antes de se unirem, ela foi encontrada grávida pelo Espírito Santo.
Now the birth of Yeshua the Messiah was like this: After his mother, Miriam, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
19 José, seu marido, sendo um homem justo, e não disposto a fazer dela um exemplo público, pretendia prendê-la em segredo.
Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
20 Mas quando ele pensou nestas coisas, eis que um anjo do Senhor lhe apareceu num sonho, dizendo: “José, filho de Davi, não tenha medo de tomar para si Maria como sua esposa, pois o que nela é concebido é do Espírito Santo.
But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Miriam as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 Ela deve dar à luz um filho. Dareis-lhe o nome de Jesus, pois é ele quem salvará seu povo de seus pecados”.
She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Yeshua, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”
22 Agora tudo isso aconteceu para que pudesse ser cumprido o que foi dito pelo Senhor através do profeta, dizendo
Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
23 “Eis que a virgem deve estar com criança, e deve dar à luz um filho. Eles chamarão seu nome Immanuel”. que é, sendo interpretado, “Deus conosco”.
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”
24 Joseph surgiu de seu sono, e fez como o anjo do Senhor lhe ordenou, e levou sua esposa para si;
Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
25 e não a conhecia sexualmente até que ela deu à luz seu filho primogênito. Ele lhe deu o nome de Jesus.
and didn’t know her sexually until she had given birth to her firstborn son. He named him Yeshua.
