1 Coríntios 11
1 [Procurem ]agir como eu, assim como eu [procuro ]agir como Cristo.
[Follow my example], just like I [try to] follow Christ’s example.
2 Eu elogio vocês porque se lembram de todas as coisas que [eu lhes ensinei, ]e porque seguem, exatamente como mandei, as instruções que dei a vocês.
I praise you because you remember all the things [that I taught you] and because you follow the instructions that I gave you. You have done just like I told you to do.
3 [Ora], eu quero que vocês saibam que é Cristo que tem autoridade sobre [MTY] todo homem, e são os homens (OU, os maridos) que têm autoridade sobre as mulheres, e é Deus que tem autoridade sobre Cristo.
[Now], I want you to know that the one who has authority over [MTY] every man is Christ, and the ones who have authority over women are men (OR, their husbands), and the one who has authority over Christ is God.
4 [Por isso], se um homem [cobre ]a cabeça quando ora ou comunica uma mensagem que Deus lhe deu, ele se desonra [SYN].
[So] if any man [wears a covering over] his head when he prays or speaks a message God gave him, he disgraces himself [SYN].
5 Também, se uma mulher deixa de cobrir a cabeça quando ora ou comunica uma mensagem que Deus lhe deu, ela se desonra. Tal prática equivale a comportar-se como [SIM] [as mulheres que se envergonham por ]terem a cabeça rapada {[por causa de alguém ]rapar-lhes a cabeça}.
Also, if any woman does not wear a covering over her head when she prays or speaks a message that God gave her, she disgraces herself (OR, she dishonors her husband). That would be acting like [SIM] [women who are ashamed because] their heads have been shaved.
6 Por isso, se as mulheres não cobrem a cabeça [ao orarem ou comunicarem mensagens que Deus lhes deu, ]devem deixar alguém rapar-lhes a cabeça [para elas ficarem com vergonha. ]Mas, já que as mulheres se envergonham quando alguém lhes corta o cabelo com navalha ou lhes rapa a cabeça, elas devem cobrir a cabeça [quando oram ou comunicam mensagens que Deus lhes deu. ]
So, if women do not wear coverings over their heads [when they pray or speak messages that God gave them], they should let someone shave their heads [so that they will be ashamed]. But since women are ashamed if someone cuts their hair [short] or shaves off their hair, they should wear coverings over their heads [when they pray or speak messages that God gave them].
7 Os homens não devem cobrir a cabeça [quando oram ou comunicam mensagens que Deus lhes deu, ]pois eles representam a feição de Deus [MET], e mostram o quão grande Deus é. Mas as mulheres mostram quão grandes são os homens (OU, seus maridos).
Men should not wear coverings over their heads [when they pray or speak messages that God gave them], because they represent what God is like [MET] and they show how great God is. But women show how great men (OR, their husbands) are.
8 [Lembrem-se que Deus determina que os homens tenham autoridade sobre as mulheres], pois Deus não criou o [primeiro ]homem, [Adão, ]da [primeira ]mulher, [Eva. ]Pelo contrário, Ele fez aquela mulher [de um osso tirado ]do homem.
[Remember that God intends that men have authority over women. We know that] because [God] did not make [the first] man, [Adam], from the [first] woman, [Eve]. Instead, he made that woman [from a bone that he took] from the man.
9 Também, [o primeiro ]homem não foi criado {[Deus ]não criou [o primeiro ]homem} [para ajudar ]a mulher. Pelo contrário, a mulher foi criada {[Ele ]criou a mulher} [para ajudar ]o homem.
Also, [God] did not create [the first] man [to help] the woman. Instead, [he] created the woman [to help] the man.
10 Por essa razão, as mulheres devem usar algo [para cobrir ]a cabeça, algo que [simbolize o fato delas estarem debaixo da ]autoridade [do marido ][MTY]. Elas também devem proceder assim para que os anjos [as observem e se alegrem.]
For that reason, women should wear something [to cover] their heads [as a symbol of their being under their husbands’] [MTY] authority. They should also [cover their heads] so that the angels [will see that and rejoice].
11 Contudo, lembrem-se de que [Deus criou a primeira ]mulher do [primeiro ]homem, mas [agora ]são os homens que nascem das mulheres. Portanto, os homens não podem ficar independentes das mulheres, nem as mulheres dos homens. Mas todas as coisas, [inclusive os homens e as mulheres, ]têm sua origem em Deus.
However, remember that [even though God created the first] woman from [the first] man, all other men [have been born] from women. So men cannot be independent of women, nor can women be independent of men. But all things, [including men and women], come from God.
13 Pensem bem nisso: Convém [RHQ] as mulheres orarem a Deus sem algo para cobrir a cabeça?
Consider this for yourselves: Is it proper for [RHQ] women to pray to God while they do not have coverings over their heads?
14 Vocês sabem / Será que vocês não sabem [RHQ], naturalmente, que o cabelo comprido desonra os homens?
(Everyone senses that it is disgraceful for men to have long hair./Doesn’t everyone sense that it is disgraceful for men to have long hair?) [RHQ]
15 Porém, é agradável que as mulheres tenham o cabelo comprido, pois o cabelo comprido lhes foi dado [por Deus ]{[Deus ]lhes deu o cabelo comprido} para servir de cobertura [para a cabeça. ]
But it is very delightful if women have long hair, because [God] gave them long hair to be like a [beautiful] covering [for their heads].
16 Mas se alguém quiser debater [comigo sobre esta afirmação, de que as mulheres devem cobrir a cabeça quando oram ou comunicam alguma mensagem de Deus, ele deve se lembrar de que ]nós[, apóstolos], não [autorizamos ]outro costume, e as [demais ]congregações de Deus não têm outro costume.
But whoever wants to argue [with me about my saying that women should have a covering over their heads when they pray or speak a message from God should consider the fact that] we [apostles] do not [permit] any other custom, and the [other] congregations of God do not have any other custom.
17 No tocante aos assuntos [sobre os quais vou lhes instruir agora, ]eu não os elogio, pois sempre que vocês cristãos se reúnem, [não acontecem coisas ]boas. Pelo contrário, [ocorrem ]coisas ruins.
Now I want to tell you [about some other things]. I do not praise you about them, because whenever you believers meet together, good [things do not happen]. Instead, bad things [happen].
18 Em primeiro lugar, disseram-me que, quando vocês se congregam [para louvar a Deus, ]ficam divididos em grupos [mutuamente hostis. ]Em parte, creio que seja verdade.
First of all, people have told me that when you gather together as a group [to worship God], you divide into groups [that are hostile to each other]. To some extent I believe that is true.
19 Parece que vocês precisam dividir-se em [grupos que se desprezam mutuamente ]para que fique óbvio quais indivíduos, dentre vocês, são aprovados por [Deus]!
It seems that you must divide into [groups that despise each other] in order that it might be clear/evident which people among you [God] approves of!
20 Ao se reunirem, [vocês acham ][IRO] que estão tomando a refeição [pela qual nos lembramos que ]o Senhor [Jesus morreu por nós. ]
When you gather together, you [IRO] eat the meal [that you say is to remember the death of] the Lord [Jesus for us].
21 Mas quando vocês comem, cada um toma a sua própria refeição antes [de se lembrar de compartilhar a comida com outros. ]Como resultado disso, [terminada a refeição, ]algumas pessoas [ainda ]estão com fome e outras estão bêbadas! [Portanto, não se trata de uma refeição em homenagem ao Senhor. ]
But [what happens when] you eat is that each person eats his own meal before [he thinks about sharing his food with anyone else]. As a result, [when the meal is over], some people are [still] hungry and others are drunk! [So it is not a meal that honors the Lord].
22 [Vocês se comportam como se ]não tivessem / Será que vocês não têm [RHQ] casa onde possam comer e beber [o que quiserem]!? Qualquer um poderia concluir que/Vocês não se dão conta de que [RHQ], [ao agirem assim, de forma tão egoísta, ]vocês estão desprezando aqueles que pertencem a Deus, e são os pobres [do seu grupo ]que vocês estão tratando como se não tivessem nenhuma importância. O que lhes direi? [Vocês estão esperando ]que eu os elogie [por causa daquilo que fazem? ]Claro que não vou elogiá-los!
([You act as though] you do not have your own houses in which you can eat and drink [whatever you want to]!/Do you not have your own houses in which you can eat and drink [whatever you want to]?) [RHQ] Do you not realize [RHQ] [that by acting selfishly in this way], it is God’s people whom you are despising, and it is the poor people [in your group] whom you are treating as though they were not important? What shall I say to you about that [RHQ]? Do [you expect] me to praise you [about what you do] [RHQ]? I certainly will not praise you!
23 O Senhor me ensinou estas coisas que também ensino a vocês: Durante a noite em que Jesus foi traído {[Judas ]fez com que [os inimigos do ]Senhor Jesus pudessem prendê-lo}, Ele pegou o pão.
The Lord taught me these things that I also taught you: During the night that Jesus was betrayed {[Judas] enabled [the enemies of] the Lord Jesus to seize him}, he took some bread.
24 Depois de dar graças a Deus pelo pão, Jesus o partiu em pedacinhos. [Então o repartiu entre seus discípulos ]e disse: “Este pão [representa ][MET] (OU, é) o meu corpo, que [em breve vou sacrificar ]em benefício de vocês. Comam o pão assim, [repetidas vezes, ]para se lembrarem que [eu me ofereço como sacrifício por vocês]”.
After he thanked God for it, he broke it into pieces. [Then he gave it to his disciples] and said, “This bread [represents] [MET] (OR, is) my body, that [I am about to sacrifice] for you. Eat bread in this [way again and again] to remember my [offering myself as a sacrifice for you].”
25 Da mesma forma, depois de todos tomarem a refeição, Ele pegou um cálice [MTY] [de vinho. Deu graças a Deus pelo vinho. Então Ele o ofereceu aos seus discípulos, ]dizendo: “[O vinho ][MTY] neste cálice [representa ][MET] (OU, é) o meu sangue. [Em breve vou derramar o meu sangue e morrer, para pôr em execução ]a nova aliança [que Deus está fazendo com os seres humanos. ]Cada vez que vocês beberem o vinho desta maneira, tenham o cuidado de lembrar-se que [derramei o meu sangue em benefício de vocês para confirmar essa nova aliança”. ]
Similarly, after they ate their meal, he took a cup [MTY] [of wine]. He [thanked God for it. Then he gave it to his disciples], saying, “[The wine in] [MTY] this cup [represents] [MET] (OR, is) my blood [that will flow from my body] ([to put into effect/to establish]) the new agreement [that God is making with people]. Whenever you drink wine in this way, do it to remember that [my blood flowed for you].”
26 [Lembrem-se que], até o Senhor [Jesus ]voltar [à terra, ]cada vez que vocês comerem do [pão que representa o corpo Dele ]e beberem do vinho [MTY] [que representa o sangue Dele, ]vocês estarão anunciando às outras pessoas o fato de Ele ter morrido [pelos seres humanos.]
[Remember that] until the Lord [Jesus] returns [to the earth], whenever you eat the [bread that represents his body] and drink the wine [MTY] [that represents his blood], you are telling other people that he died [for you].
27 Portanto, se alguém comer deste pão e beber deste vinho [MTY] de uma forma que não convém [àqueles que pertencem ao Senhor, ]ele é culpado de [agir de forma contrária àquilo que ]nosso Senhor [determinou ao oferecer ]seu corpo [como sacrifício e ao derramar S]eu sangue.
So, those who eat that bread and drink that wine [MTY] in a way that is not proper [for those who belong to the Lord] are guilty of [acting in a way that is contrary to what] our [Lord intended when he offered] his body [as a sacrifice] and his blood [flowed when he died].
28 Antes de qualquer cristão comer desse pão e beber desse vinho [MTY], ele deve pensar com cuidado sobre [o seu comportamento, ]
Before any believer eats that bread and drinks that wine [MTY], he should think carefully about [what he is doing],
29 porque, se alguém comer [desse pão que representa o corpo de Cristo ]e beber [do vinho que representa Seu sangue ]sem reconhecer a necessidade da [união ]do povo de Deus, Ele [vai ]castigá-lo [por assim proceder. ]
because if anyone eats [the bread that represents Christ’s body] and drinks [the wine that represents his blood] without recognizing that all God’s [people should be united, God will] punish him [for doing that].
30 Muitos membros do seu grupo estão fracos e doentes, e vários deles já morreram [EUP], por causa [da maneira em que procederam ao comerem desse pão e beberem desse vinho. ]
Many people in your group are weak and sick, and several have died [EUP] because of [the way they acted when they ate that bread and drank that wine].
31 Se pensássemos com cuidado sobre [o que estamos fazendo], não seríamos julgados [por Deus e castigados ]{[Deus ]não nos julgaria [e não nos castigaria]} [dessa maneira. ]
If we would think carefully about what we [are doing], [God] would not judge [and punish] us [like that].
32 Mas quando somos julgados pelo Senhor [e castigados] {quando o Senhor nos julga [e ]nos [castiga]} [por termos procedido erradamente, ]Ele nos disciplina [para nos corrigir, ]para não [precisarmos ]receber o mesmo castigo que as pessoas que não confiam em Cristo receberão {para que Ele não [precise ]castigar-nos ao castigar as pessoas que não confiam em Cristo} [MTY].
But when the Lord judges [and punishes] us [for acting wrongly], he disciplines us [to correct us], in order that he will not [need to] punish us when he punishes [the people who do not trust in Christ] [MTY].
33 Portanto, meus irmãos cristãos, ao se reunirem para receber [a comida que lhes lembra a morte do Senhor em benefício de vocês, ]aguardem [a chegada ]de todos para [determinar quem é que precisa de comida. ]
So, my fellow believers, when you gather together to eat [food to remember the Lord’s dying for you], wait until everyone [has arrived so that you can find out who does not have enough food].
34 Se alguém estiver com fome, ele deve comer [antes ]em casa, para que, ao se reunirem todos, Deus não julgue [e castigue vocês por tratarem os outros sem consideração.] E, ao chegar em [Corinto, ]vou lhes dar instruções sobre outros assuntos [relacionados à Ceia do Senhor].
Those who are so hungry [that they cannot wait to eat until everyone else has arrived] should eat in their own homes [first], in order that when you gather together God will not judge [and punish them for] ([being inconsiderate of/not being concerned about]) [others]. And when I come [to Corinth] I will give you instructions about other matters [concerning the Lord’s Supper].
