Romanos 5
1 Portanto, agora que somos justificados pela fé, tenhamos paz com Deus por meio do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Therefore having been made righteous from faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 Por meio dele também temos acesso pela fé a esta graça, na qual estamos firmes, e nos alegramos na esperança da glória de Deus.
through whom also we have access by faith for this grace in which we stand, and we take pride in hope of the glory of God.
3 E não somente [isso], mas também nos alegramos nas tribulações, sabendo que a tribulação produz paciência;
And not only so, but we also take pride in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance,
4 a paciência [produz] experiência, e a experiência [produz] esperança.
and perseverance, character, and character, hope.
5 E a esperança não frustra, porque o amor de Deus está derramado em nossos corações pelo Espírito Santo que nos foi dado.
And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit that was given to us.
6 Pois quando ainda éramos fracos, Cristo morreu a seu tempo pelos ímpios.
For while we were yet weak, in due time Christ died for the impious.
7 Ora, dificilmente alguém morre por um justo, ainda que talvez alguém possa ousar morrer por uma boa pessoa.
For scarcely for a righteous man will some man die, indeed perhaps for the good man some man would even dare to die.
8 Mas Deus prova o seu amor por nós através de Cristo haver morrido por nós, quando ainda éramos pecadores.
But God commends his love toward us, that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Por isso, muito mais agora, que já somos justificados por seu sangue, seremos por ele salvos da ira.
Much more then, now having been made righteous by his blood, we will be saved from the wrath through him.
10 Pois, se quando éramos inimigos, fomos reconciliados com Deus pela morte do seu Filho, muito mais, tendo sido reconciliados, seremos salvos pela sua vida.
For if, while being enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more having been reconciled we will be saved by his life.
11 E não somente [isso], mas também nos alegramos em Deus por meio do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, por quem agora recebemos a reconciliação.
And not only so, but also taking pride in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
12 Portanto, assim como por um homem o pecado entrou no mundo, e pelo pecado a morte, assim também a morte passou a todos os seres humanos, porque todos pecaram.
Because of this, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, in that all sinned.
13 Pois, antes da Lei, o pecado [já] existia no mundo; porém, quando não há Lei, o pecado não é considerado.
For until law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Mas a morte reinou desde Adão até Moisés, até sobre aqueles que não pecaram à semelhança da transgressão de Adão, o qual era uma figura daquele que estava para vir.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a type of the coming man.
15 Mas o dom gratuito não é como a transgressão; porque, se pela transgressão de um, muitos morreram, muito mais a graça de Deus, e o dom pela graça de um homem, Jesus Cristo, têm sido abundantes sobre muitos.
But in this way also, the gift is not as the transgression. For if by the trespass of the one man the many died, much more the grace of God, and the gift in grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many.
16 E o dom não é como [a transgressão] de um que pecou; porque o julgamento de uma só [transgressão] trouxe condenação, mas o dom gratuito, de muitas transgressões, trouxe justificação.
And the gift is not as through one man who sinned, for indeed the judgment from one man was for condemnation, but the gift from many offenses is for righteousness.
17 Pois, se pela transgressão de um, a morte reinou por causa desse, muito mais os que recebem a abundância da graça, e do dom da justiça reinarão em vida por um só, Jesus Cristo.
For if, by the offense of the one man, death reigned through the one man, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
18 Portanto, assim como uma transgressão resultou em condenação sobre todos os seres humanos, assim também um ato de justiça resultou em justificação da vida sobre todos os seres humanos.
So then, as through an offense of one man was for condemnation for all men, so also through a righteousness of one man was for justification of life for all men.
19 Pois, assim como pela desobediência de um só homem muitos foram feitos pecadores, assim também, pela obediência de um só, muitos serão justificados.
For as through the one man's disobedience the many were led sinful, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be led righteous.
20 A Lei veio para que a transgressão aumentasse; mas onde o pecado aumentou, a graça superabundou;
And the law entered so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace was more abundant,
21 a fim de que, assim como o pecado reinou para a morte, também a graça reine pela justiça para a vida eterna, por meio de Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor. (aiōnios g166)
so that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign, through righteousness, for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
