Marcos 12
1 Então [Jesus] começou a lhes dizer por parábolas: Um homem plantou uma vinha, cercou-a, fundou [nela] uma prensa de uvas, edificou uma torre, e a arrendou a uns lavradores; e partiu-se daquela terra.
And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and dug a place for the winepress, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
2 E, quando chegou o tempo, mandou um servo aos lavradores, para que recebesse dos lavradores do fruto da vinha.
And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
3 Mas eles, tomando-o à força, feriram-no, e mandaram-no vazio.
And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
4 E voltou a lhes mandar outro servo; e eles feriram-no na cabeça e maltrataram-no.
And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
5 E voltou a mandar outro, ao qual mataram, e [mandou] muitos outros, e a uns feriram, e a outros mataram.
And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
6 Tendo ele, pois, ainda um, o seu filho amado, mandou-lhes também por último a este, dizendo: Pelo menos respeitarão o meu filho.
Having yet therefore one son, his beloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
7 Mas aqueles lavradores disseram entre si: Este é o herdeiro; vinde, e o matemos; então a herança será nossa.
But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our's.
8 E pegando dele, mataram[-no], e lançaram[-no] fora da vinha.
And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9 Que, pois, o senhor da vinha fará? Ele virá, destruirá aos lavradores, e dará a vinha a outros.
What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
10 Acaso ainda não lestes esta escritura: “A pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram, esta foi feita por cabeça de esquina.
And have all of you not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
11 Pelo Senhor foi feito isto, e é maravilhoso em nossos olhos”?
This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
12 E buscavam prendê-lo, mas temiam a multidão; porque entendiam que era contra eles que dizia aquela parábola; então o deixaram e se retiraram.
And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
13 E mandaram-lhe alguns dos fariseus e dos herodianos, para que o apanhassem em [alguma] palavra.
And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words. (logos)
14 Eles se aproximaram e lhe disseram: Mestre, sabemos que és homem de verdade, e não te interessa [agradar] a ninguém, porque não te importas com a aparência humana, mas com verdade ensinas o caminho de Deus. É lícito pagar tributo a César, ou não? Devemos pagar, ou não devemos?
And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that you are true, and care for no man: for you regard not the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
15 E ele, entendendo a hipocrisia deles, disse-lhes: Por que estais me tentando? Trazei-me uma moeda, para que eu a veja.
Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt all of you me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 E trouxeram. E perguntou-lhes: De quem é esta imagem, e a inscrição? E eles lhe disseram: De César.
And they brought it. And he says unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
17 Então Jesus, lhes respondeu: Dai, pois, a César o que é de César, e a Deus o que é de Deus. E admiram-se dele.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
18 E vieram a ele os saduceus, que dizem não haver ressurreição, e perguntaram-lhe:
Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu que, se o irmão de alguém morresse, e deixasse mulher, mas não filho, que seu irmão se casasse com a viúva, e gerasse descendência ao seu irmão.
Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 Houve, pois, sete irmãos, e o primeiro casou-se com a mulher, e morrendo, não deixou descendente.
Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 Casou-se com ela também o segundo, e morreu; e nem este deixou descendente; e o terceiro da mesma maneira.
And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 Os sete não deixaram descendente. Finalmente, depois de todos, morreu também a mulher.
And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 Na ressurreição, pois, quando ressuscitarem, ela será a mulher de qual deles? Porque os sete a tiveram por mulher.
In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 E Jesus lhes respondeu: Acaso não é por isso que errais, por não conhecerdes as Escrituras, nem o poder de Deus?
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do all of you not therefore go astray, because all of you know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 Pois, quando ressuscitarem dos mortos, nem se casarão, nem se darão em casamento; mas serão como os anjos que estão nos céus.
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 E quanto aos mortos que ressuscitarão, não lestes no livro de Moisés, como Deus lhe falou com a sarça, dizendo: Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó?
And as concerning the dead, that they rise: have all of you not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spoke unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 Deus não é [Deus] de mortos, mas de vivos. Portanto errais muito.
He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: all of you therefore do greatly go astray.
28 Então aproximou-se dele um dos escribas, que os havia ouvido discutir. Como ele sabia que [Jesus] havia lhes respondido bem, perguntou-lhe: Qual é o primeiro mandamento de todos?
And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 E Jesus respondeu: O primeiro é: “Ouve Israel, o Senhor nosso Deus é o único Senhor;
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 amarás, pois, ao Senhor teu Deus com todo o teu coração, com toda a tua alma, com todo o teu entendimento, e com todas as tuas forças.”
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.
31 E o segundo é: “Amarás ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo”. Não há outro mandamento maior que estes.
And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
32 E o escriba lhe disse: Muito bem, Mestre, com verdade disseste que ele é um só, e não há outro além dele.
And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, you have said the truth: for there is one God; and there is no other but he:
33 E que amá-lo com todo o coração, com todo o entendimento, e com todas as forças; e amar ao próximo como a si mesmo, é mais de que todos os holocaustos e sacrifícios.
And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 Jesus viu que ele havia respondido sabiamente, e disse-lhe: Não estás longe do Reino de Deus. E ninguém mais ousou lhe perguntar.
And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35 E Jesus respondia e dizia, enquanto ensinava no templo: Como os escribas dizem que o Cristo é filho de Davi?
And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
36 O mesmo Davi disse pelo Espírito Santo: Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor, senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos debaixo dos teus pés.
For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) The LORD said to my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.
37 Ora, [se] o próprio Davi o chama de Senhor, como, pois, é so eu filho? E a grande multidão o ouvia de boa vontade.
David therefore himself calls him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
38 E dizia em seu ensino: Cuidado com os escribas, que gostam de andar com roupas compridas, das saudações nas praças,
And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39 das primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas, e dos primeiros assentos nas ceias.
And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40 que devoram as casas das viúvas, com pretexto de longas orações. Esses receberão mais grave condenação.
Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41 Quando [Jesus] estava sentado de frente à arca do tesouro, observava como a multidão lançava dinheiro na arca do tesouro; e muitos ricos lançavam muito.
And Jesus sat opposite to the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 E uma pobre viúva veio, e lançou duas pequenas moedas, de pouco valor.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 Então [Jesus] chamou a si os seus discípulos, e disse-lhes: Em verdade vos digo que esta pobre viúva lançou mais que todos os que lançaram na arca do tesouro;
And he called unto him his disciples, and says unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow has cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 Porque todos lançaram daquilo que lhes sobra; mas esta, da sua pobreza lançou tudo o que tinha, todo o seu sustento.
For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her lack did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
