Lucas 3
1 No ano quinze do império de Tibério César, sendo Pôncio Pilatos o governador da Judeia, Herodes tetraca da Galileia, e seu irmão Filipe o tetrarca da Itureia e da província de Traconites, e Lisânias o tetrarca de Abilene;
In the fiftenthe yeare of the raygne of Tiberius the Emperoure Pontius Pylate beinge leftenaut of Iurie and Herode beinge Tetrach of Galile and his brother Philip Tetrach in Iturea and in the region of Traconites and Lysanias the Tetrach of Abyline
2 sendo Anás e Caifás os sumos sacerdotes, a palavra de Deus veio a João, filho de Zacarias, no deserto.
when Anna and Cayphas were the hye prestes: the worde of God came vnto Iohn ye sonne of zacharias in the wildernes.
3 Ele percorreu toda a região ao redor do Jordão, pregando o batismo de arrependimento, para o perdão dos pecados;
And he came in to all the coostes aboute Iordan preachynge the baptyme of repentaunce for the remission of synnes
4 conforme o que está escrito no livro das palavras do profeta Isaías: “Voz do que clama no deserto: Preparai o caminho do Senhor, endireitai as suas veredas.
at it is written in the boke of the sayinges of Esaias ye Prophet which sayeth: The voyce of a cryar in wyldernes prepare the waye of the Lorde make hys pathes strayght.
5 Todo vale se encherá, e todo monte e colina se abaixará; os tortos serão endireitados, e os caminhos ásperos se suavizarão;
Every valley shalbe fylled and every moutayne and hyll shalbe brought lowe. And crocked thinges shalbe made streight: and the rough wayes shalbe made smoth:
6 e todos verão a salvação de Deus.”
and all flesshe shall se the saveour sent of God.
7 [João] dizia às multidões que vinham ser batizadas por ele: “Raça de víboras, quem vos ensinou a fugir da ira que está para chegar?
Then sayde he to the people that were come to be baptysed of him: O generacion of vipers who hath taught you to flye from the wrath to come?
8 Dai, pois, frutos condizentes com o arrependimento, e não comeceis a dizer em vós mesmos: ‘Temos Abraão por pai’; pois eu vos digo que até destas pedras Deus pode produzir filhos a Abraão.
Bringe forth due frutes of repentaunce and begynne not to saye in youre selves we have Abraham to oure father. For I saye vnto you: God is able of these stones to reyse vp chyldren vnto Abraham.
9 E também o machado já está posto à raiz das árvores; portanto, toda árvore que não dá bom fruto é cortada e lançada ao fogo.
Now also ys the axe leyd vnto the rote of the trees: so yt every tree which bringeth not forth good frute shalbe hewe doune and caste in to ye fyre.
10 E as multidões lhe perguntavam: Então o que devemos fazer?
And the people axed him sayinge: What shall we do then?
11 E ele lhes respondeu: Quem tiver duas túnicas, reparta com o não tem; e quem tiver comida, faça da mesma maneira.
He answered and sayde vnto them: He that hath two coottes let him parte with him that hath none: and he that hath meate let him do lyke wyse.
12 E chegaram também uns publicanos, para serem batizados; e disseram-lhe: Mestre, que devemos fazer?
Then came ther Publicans to be baptised and sayde vnto him: Master what shall we do?
13 E ele lhes disse: Não exijais mais do que vos está ordenado.
And he sayde vnto the: requyre no more then that which ys appoynted vnto you.
14 E uns soldados também lhe perguntaram: E nós, que devemos fazer? E ele lhes disse: Não maltrateis nem defraudeis a ninguém; e contentai-vos com vossos salários.
The soudyoures lyke wyse demaunded of hym sayinge: and what shall we do? And he sayde to them: Do violence to noo ma: nether trouble eny man wrongfully: but be content with youre wages.
15 E, enquanto o povo estava em expectativa, e todos pensando em seus corações se talvez João seria o Cristo,
As the people were in a doute and all men disputed in their hertes of Iohn whether he were very Christ:
16 João respondeu a todos: De fato, eu vos batizo com água, mas vem um que é mais poderoso do que eu, de quem eu não sou digno de desatar a tira das sandálias; ele vos batizará com o Espírito Santo e com fogo.
Ihon answered and sayde to them all: I baptyse you wt water but a stronger then I cometh after me whose shue latchet I am not worthy to vnlouse: he will baptise you with the holy goost and with fyre:
17 Sua pá está na sua mão para limpar sua eira, e para juntar o trigo no seu celeiro; porém queimará a palha com fogo que nunca se apaga.
which hath his fanne in his hond and will pourge his floore and will gader the corne into his barne: but the chaffe wyll he bourne with fyre that never shalbe quenched.
18 Assim, exortando com muitas outras coisas, [João] anunciava a boa notícia ao povo.
And many other thinges in his exhortacion preached he vnto the people.
19 Porém, quando Herodes, o tetrarca, foi repreendido por ele por causa de Herodias, mulher do seu irmão, e por todas as maldades que Herodes havia feito,
Then Herode the Tetrach (when he was rebuked of him for Herodias his brother Philippes wyfe and for all the evyls which Herod had done)
20 acrescentou a todas ainda esta: encarcerou João na prisão.
added this above all and leyd Iohn in preson.
21 E aconteceu que, quando todo o povo era batizado, Jesus [também] foi batizado, e enquanto orava, o céu se abriu,
And yt fortuned as all the people receaved baptyme (and when Iesus was baptised and dyd praye) that heave was opened
22 e o Espírito Santo desceu sobre ele em forma corpórea, como pomba; e veio do céu uma voz: Tu és o meu Filho amado, em ti me agrado.
and the holy goost came doune in a bodely shape lyke a dove vpo him and a voyce came fro heve sayinge: Thou arte my dere sonne in the do I delyte.
23 E o mesmo Jesus começou quando tinha cerca de trinta anos, sendo (como se pensava) filho de José, [filho] de Eli,
And Iesus him silfe was about thirty yere of age when he begane beinge as men supposed the sonne of Ioseph. which Ioseph was the sonne of Heli
24 [filho] de Matate, [filho] de Levi, [filho] de Melqui, [filho] de Janai, [filho] de José.
which was the sonne of Mathat which was the sonne of Levi: which was the sonne of Melchi: which was the sonne of Ianna: which was the sonne of Ioseph:
25 [filho] de Matatias, [filho] de Amós, [filho] de Naum, [filho] de Esli, [filho] de Nagai.
which was the sonne of Matatthias: which was the sonne of Amos: which was the sonne of Nahum: which was the sonne of Esli: which was the sonne of Nagge:
26 [filho] de Maate, [filho] de Matatias, [filho] de Semei, [filho] de Joseque, [filho] de Jodá.
which was the sonne of Maath: which was the sonne of Matathias: which was the sonne of Semei: which was the sonne of Ioseph: which was the sonne of Iuda:
27 [filho] de Joanã, [filho] de Resa, [filho] de Zorobabel, e [filho] de Salatiel, [filho] de Neri.
which was the sonne of Iohanna: which was the sonne of Rhesya: which was the sonne of zorobabel: which was the sonne of Salathiel: which was the sonne of Neri:
28 [filho] de Melqui, [filho] de Adi, e [filho] de Cosã, [filho] de Elmodã, [filho] de Er.
which was the sonne of Melchi: which was the sonne of Addi: which was the sonne of Cosam: which was the sonne of Helmadam: which was the sonne of Her:
29 [filho] de Josué, [filho] de Eliézer, [filho] de Jorim, [filho] de Matate, [filho] de Levi.
which was the sonne of Ieso: which was the sonne of Helieser: which was the sonne of Ioram: which was the sonne of Mattha: which was the sonne of Levi:
30 [filho] de Simeão, [filho] de Judá, [filho] de José, [filho] de Jonã, [filho] de Eliaquim.
which was the sonne of Simeon: which was the sonne of Iuda: which was the sonne of Ioseph: which was the sonne of Ionam: which was the sonne of Heliachim:
31 [filho] de Meleá, [filho] de Mená, [filho] de Matatá, [filho] de Natã, [filho] de Davi.
which was the sonne of Melea: which was the sonne of Menam: which was the sonne of Mathathan: which was the sonne of Nathan: which was the sonne of David:
32 [Filho] de Jessé, [filho] de Obede, [filho] de Boaz, [filho] de Salá, [filho] de Naassom.
which was the sonne of Iesse: which was the sonne of Obed: which was the sonne of Boos: which was the sonne of Salmon: which was the sonne of Naason:
33 [Filho] de Aminadabe, [filho] de Admin, [filho] de Arni, [filho] de Esrom, [filho] de Peres, [filho] de Judá.
which was the sonne of Aminadab: which was the sonne of Aram: which was the sonne of Esrom: which was the sonne of Phares: which was the sonne of Iuda:
34 [filho] de Jacó, [filho] de Isaque, [filho] de Abraão, [filho] de Terá, [filho] de Naor.
which was the sonne of Iacob: which was the sonne of Ysaac: which was the sonne of Abraham: which was the sonne of Tharra: which was the sonne of Nachor:
35 [filho] de Serugue, [filho] de Ragaú, [filho] de Faleque, [filho] de Éber, [filho] de Salá.
which was the sonne of Saruch: which was the sonne of Ragau: which was the sonne of Phalec: which was the sonne of Heber: which was the sonne of Sala:
36 [Filho] de Cainã, [filho] de Arfaxade, [filho] de Sem, [filho] de Noé, [filho] de Lameque.
which was the sonne of Cainan: which was the sonne of Arphaxat: which was the sonne of Sem: which was the sonne of Noe: which was the sonne of Lameth:
37 [Filho] de Matusalém, [filho] de Enoque, [filho] de Jarede, [filho] de Maleleel, [filho] de Cainã.
which was the sonne of Mathusala: which was the sonne of Enoch: which was the sonne of Iareth: which was the sonne of Malalehel. which was the sonne of Cainan:
38 [filho] de Enos, [filho] de Sete, [filho] de Adão, [e Adão] de Deus.
which was the sonne of Enos: which was the sonne of Seth: which was the sonne of Adam: which was the sonne of God.
