Lucas 12
1 Juntando-se, entretanto, muitos milhares da multidão, tanto que se atropelavam uns aos outros, começou a dizer primeiramente a seus discípulos: Guardai-vos do fermento dos fariseus, que é hipocrisia.
During which time the myriads of the multitude having gathered together so as to trample each other, he began first to say to his disciples, Take heed to yourselves from the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 E nada há encoberto que não haja de ser descoberto; nem oculto que não haja de ser sabido.
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
3 Portanto tudo o que dissestes nas trevas, será ouvido na luz; e o que falastes ao ouvido nos quartos, será pregado sobre os telhados.
Therefore, as many things as ye have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers will be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 E digo-vos, amigos meus, não temais aos que matam o corpo, e depois não têm mais o que possam fazer.
And I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of those who kill the body, and after these things not having anything more severe to do.
5 Mas eu vos mostrarei a quem deveis temer; temei a aquele, que depois de matar, [também] tem poder para lançar no inferno; sim, a este temei. (Geenna g1067)
But I will show you whom ye should fear. Fear him, who, after killing, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you, fear ye him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Não se vendem cinco passarinhos por duas pequenas moedas? E nem um deles está esquecido diante de Deus.
Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God.
7 E até os cabelos de vossa cabeça estão todos contados; não temais, pois; mais valeis vós que muitos passarinhos.
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore, ye are superior to many sparrows.
8 E vos digo que todo aquele que me confessar diante dos seres humanos, também o Filho do homem o confessará diante dos anjos de Deus.
And I say to you, every man who will confess in me before men, the Son of man will also confess in him before the agents of God,
9 Mas quem me negar diante dos seres humanos será negado diante dos anjos de Deus.
but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of the agents of God.
10 E a todo aquele que disser [alguma] palavra contra o Filho do homem, lhe será perdoado, mas ao que blasfemar contra o Espírito Santo, não lhe será perdoado.
And every man who will speak a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him, but to him who blasphemed against the Holy Spirit it will not be forgiven.
11 E quando vos trouxerem às sinagogas, aos magistrados e autoridades, não estejais ansiosos, como, ou que, em [vossa] defesa deveis dizer, ou que deveis falar.
And when they bring you to the synagogues, and the principle positions, and the offices of authority, be not anxious how or what ye should answer in defense, or what ye should say,
12 Porque na mesma hora o Espírito Santo vos ensinará o que deveis falar.
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
13 E um da multidão lhe disse: Mestre, dize a meu irmão que reparta a herança comigo.
And a certain man out of the crowd said to him, Teacher, speak to my brother to divide the inheritance with me.
14 Mas ele lhe disse: Homem, quem me pôs por juiz, ou repartidor sobre vós?
But he said to him, Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbitrator over you?
15 E disse-lhes: Olhai, e tomai cuidado com a ganância; porque a vida de alguém não consiste na abundância dos bens que possui.
And he said to them, Watch, and keep away from greed, because to any man, life to him is not in the abundance of things possessed by him.
16 E propôs-lhes uma parábola, dizendo: A terra de um homem rico tinha frutificado bem.
And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth well.
17 E ele questionava a si mesmo, dizendo: Que farei? Porque não tenho onde juntar meus frutos.
And he pondered within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have nowhere I will store my crops?
18 E disse: Farei isto: derrubarei meus celeiros, e construirei maiores, e ali juntarei toda esta minha colheita, e estes meus bens.
And he said, I will do this. I will dismantle my barns, and I will build greater, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 E direi à minha alma: Alma, muitos bens tens guardados, para muitos anos; descansa, come, bebe, alegra-te!
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou have many goods laid up for many years. Take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.
20 Porém Deus lhe disse: Louco, esta noite te pedirão tua alma; e o que tens preparado, de quem será?
But God said to him, Thou foolish man, they demand thy soul from thee this night, and the things that thou prepared, whose will they be?
21 Assim [é] o que junta tesouros para si, mas não é rico em Deus.
So is he who stores up for himself, and is not being rich toward God.
22 E disse a seus discípulos: Portanto vos digo, não estejais ansiosos por vossa vida, que comereis; nem pelo corpo, que vestireis.
And he said to his disciples, Because of this I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, nor for the body, what ye may wear.
23 Mais é a vida que o alimento, e [mais] o corpo que o vestido.
For the life is more than the food, and the body, the clothing.
24 Considerai os corvos, que nem semeiam, nem ceifam; nem tem armazém, nem celeiro; e Deus os alimenta.
Consider the ravens, because they do not sow, nor do they reap, for which there is no storehouse nor barn, and God feeds them. How much ye are worth more than the birds.
25 E quem de vós pode, com sua ansiedade, acrescentar um côvado à sua altura?
And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his age?
26 Pois, se não podeis nem mesmo com algo pequeno, por que estais ansiosos com o resto?
If then ye are not able to do even the least, why are ye anxious about the rest?
27 Considerai os lírios, como crescem; não trabalham, nem fiam; e digo-vos, que nem mesmo Salomão, em toda sua glória, [chegou] a se vestir como um deles.
Consider the lilies, how they grow. They toil not, nor do they spin, and I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.
28 E se assim Deus veste a erva, que hoje está no campo, e amanhá é lançada no forno, quanto mais [vestirá] a vós, homens de pouca fé?
And if God so clothes the grass in the field, which today is, and tomorrow being cast into the oven, how much more you, O ye of little faith?
29 Vós, pois, não pergunteis que comereis, ou que bebereis; e não andeis preocupados.
And do not seek what ye may eat, and what ye may drink, and do not be unsettled.
30 Porque todas estas coisas, os gentios do mundo as buscam; mas vosso Pai sabe que necessitais destas coisas.
For the nations of the world seek all these things, and your Father knows that ye have need of these things.
31 Mas buscai o Reino de Deus, e todas estas coisas vos serão acrescentadas.
However, seek ye the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.
32 Não temas, ó pequeno rebanho; porque vosso Pai se agradou de dar a vós o Reino.
Fear not, little flock, because your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom.
33 Vendei o que tendes, e daí esmola. Fazei para vós bolsas que não se envelheçam; tesouro nos céus que nunca se deprecia; onde ladrão não chega, nem a traça destrói.
Sell things possessed by you, and give charity. Make for yourselves purses not becoming old, a treasure unfailing in the heavens, where no thief approaches, nor moth corrupts.
34 Porque aonde estiver vosso tesouro, ali estará também vosso coração.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
35 Estejam devidamente vestidos vossos quadris, e acesas as lâmpadas.
Let your loins be girded about, and the lights burning,
36 E sede vós semelhantes às pessoas que esperam a seu senhor quando voltar do casamento; para que quando ele vier, e bater, logo possam lhe abrir.
and be ye like men waiting for their lord, when he may return from the wedding festivities, so that when he comes and knocks, they may straightaway open to him.
37 Bem-aventurados aqueles servos, os quais, quando o Senhor vier, [os] achar vigiando; em verdade vos digo que ele se vestirá, e os fará se sentarem [à mesa], e chegando-se, os servirá.
Blessed are those bondmen whom the lord when he comes will find watching. Truly I say to you, that he will gird himself, and will cause them to sit down, and having come, will serve them.
38 E ainda que venha à segunda vigília; e [que] venha a terceira vigília, e assim [os] achar, bem-aventurados são tais servos.
And if he should come in the second watch, and should come in the third watch, and find so, blessed are those bondmen.
39 Isto, porém, sabei: que se o chefe da casa soubesse à que hora o ladrão viria, ele não deixaria sua casa sofrer dano.
But know this, that if the house-ruler had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
40 Vós, pois, também estejais prontos; porque o Filho do homem virá à hora que não imaginais.
Therefore, ye also become ready, because the Son of man comes at that hour ye do not suppose.
41 E Pedro lhe disse: Senhor, dizes tu esta parábola para nós, ou também para todos?
And Peter said to him, Lord, did thou speak this parable to us, or also to all?
42 E o Senhor disse: Qual é, pois, o mordomo fiel e prudente, a quem [seu] senhor puser sobre seus servos, para que [lhes] dê alimento no tempo certo?
And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise manager whom his lord will appoint over his service to give the provision on time?
43 Bem-aventurado aquele servo ao qual, quando seu senhor vier, o achar fazendo assim.
Blessed is that bondman whom his lord when he comes will find so doing.
44 Em verdade vos digo, que o porá sobre todos os seus bens.
Truly I say to you, that he will appoint him over the things being possessed by him.
45 Mas se aquele servo disser em seu coração: Meu senhor está demorando para vir; e começar a espancar aos servos e servas, e a comer, e a beber, e a se embebedar,
But if that bondman should say in his heart, My lord is late to come, and should begin to beat the servant boys and the servant girls, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken,
46 Virá o senhor daquele servo, no dia em que ele não espera, e na hora que ele não sabe; e será partido em dois, e porá sua porção com os incrédulos.
the lord of that bondman will arrive in a day that he does not expect, and in an hour that he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will place his portion with the unbelieving.
47 E o servo que sabia a vontade de seu senhor, e não se preparou, nem fez conforme a sua vontade, será muito espancado.
And that bondman who knew his lord's will, and who did not prepare, nor do according to his will, will be beaten much,
48 Mas o que não sabia, e fez [coisas] dignas de pancadas, será pouco espancado. E a qualquer que muito for dado, muito se lhe pedirá, e ao que muito se confiou, muito mais lhe será exigido.
but he who did not know, and did things worthy of blows, will be beaten little. And to every man to whom much was given, much will be required from him. And to whom they entrust much, they will ask him more abundantly.
49 Eu vim para lançar fogo na terra; e o que mais posso querer, se já está aceso?
I came to cast fire upon the earth, and what I desire is if it were kindled already.
50 Porém há um batismo que tenho que ser batizado; e como me angustio até que se venha a cumprir!
But I have an immersion to be immersed, and how am I constrained until it will be accomplished.
51 Vós pensais que vim para dar paz à terra? Não, eu vos digo; mas antes [vim para trazer] divisão.
Do ye suppose that I came to give peace on the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.
52 Porque daqui em diante cinco estarão divididos em uma casa; três contra dois, e dois contra três.
For henceforth there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 O pai estará dividido contra o filho, e o filho contra o pai; a mãe contra a filha, e a filha contra a mãe; a sogra contra sua nora, e a nora contra sua sogra.
A father will be divided against a son, and a son against a father, a mother against a daughter, and a daughter against a mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
54 E ele dizia também para as multidões: Quando vedes a nuvem que vem do ocidente, logo dizeis: Lá vem chuva; E assim acontece.
And he also said to the multitudes, When ye see a cloud rising from the west, straightaway ye say, A shower is coming, and so it happens.
55 E quando venta do sul, dizeis: Haverá calor; E assim acontece.
And when a south wind is blowing, ye say, There will be heat, and it happens.
56 Hipócritas! Sabeis entender a aparência da terra e do céu; e como não entendeis este tempo?
Ye hypocrites, ye know how to examine the face of the earth and the sky, but how can ye not examine this season?
57 E por que também não julgais por vós mesmos o que é justo?
And also why do ye not judge yourselves what is right?
58 Pois quando fores com teu adversário à autoridade, procura te livrares dele no caminho, para que ele não venha a te levar ao juiz, e o juiz te entregue ao oficial de justiça, e o oficial de justiça te lance na prisão.
For when thou go with thine opponent to the magistrate on the way give effort to be delivered from him, lest he may drag thee to the judge, and the judge may deliver thee to the officer, and the officer would cast thee into prison.
59 Eu te digo que não sairás dali enquanto não pagares até a última moeda.
I say to thee, thou will, no, not come out from there, until thou have paid even the last mite.
