2 Tessalonicenses 2

1 Ora irmãos, nós vos rogamos quanto à vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e à nossa reunião com ele,

Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him;

2 Que vós não vos abaleis facilmente em [vosso] entendimento, e não [vos] perturbeis, nem por espírito, nem por palavra, nem por carta como que [escrita] por nós, como se o dia de Cristo [já] estivesse perto.

to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand;

3 Ninguém vos engane em maneira nenhuma; porque [não virá esse dia] sem que primeiro venha a apostasia, e se manifeste o homem da injustiça, o filho da perdição.

let no man beguile you in any wise: for [it will not be], except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,

4 O qual se opõe e se levanta sobre tudo o que se chama Deus, ou [sobre] tudo que é adorado; por isso ele se sentará no templo de Deus, fazendo-se parecer Deus.

he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.

5 Não vos lembrais, que enquanto ainda estava convosco, eu vos dizia estas coisas?

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 E agora sabeis o que o detém, para que a seu próprio tempo seja manifestado.

And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.

7 Porque o mistério da injustiça já opera; só [há] aquele que agora o detém, até que seja [tirado] do meio.

For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only [there is] one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way.

8 E então será manifestado aquele injusto, ao qual o Senhor destruirá, pelo sopro de sua boca, e o aniquilará pelo aparecimento de sua vinda;

And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming;

9 [Aquele injusto] cuja vinda é conforme o agir de Satanás, com todo poder, e sinais, e milagres falsos.

[even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 E com todo engano de injustiça nos que perecem; porque não receberam o amor da verdade para se salvarem.

and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 E por isso Deus lhes enviará a ação do erro, para que creiam na mentira.

And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:

12 Para que sejam condenados todos os que não creram na verdade, mas tiveram prazer na injustiça.

that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 Mas sempre devemos dar graças a Deus por vós, irmãos, que sois amados pelo Senhor, pois Deus vos escolheu desde o princípio para a salvação, em santificação do Espírito, e fé na verdade;

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Para a qual ele vos chamou por meio do nosso Evangelho, para a obtenção da glória de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Portanto, irmãos, ficai firmes, e retende as tradições que vos foram ensinadas, seja por palavra, seja por carta nossa.

So then, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye were taught, whether by word, or by epistle of ours.

16 E ele mesmo, o nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e nosso Deus e Pai, que nos amou e em graça nos deu uma eterna consolação e boa esperança; (aiōnios g166)

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)

17 Ele console vossos corações, e vos fortaleça em toda boa palavra e obra.

comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
