2 Coríntios 13

1 Esta é a terceira vez [que] venho até vós; pela boca de duas ou três testemunhas toda palavra será firmada.

This, I say, is the third time I am coming to you: and at the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2 Eu já tinha dito antes, e disse quando estive presente pela segunda vez, e agora ausente o escrevo aos que pecaram anteriormente, e a todos os demais, que se vier outra vez, não [lhes] serei tolerante;

I said before, and I again tell you beforehand, as if I were present the second time; and being absent I now write to those who have sinned heretofore, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare:

3 Pois buscais prova de que Cristo fala em mim, o qual em vós não é fraco, mas que é poderoso entre vós.

since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but is powerful among you.

4 Porque ainda que tenha sido crucificado por fraqueza, contudo ele vive pelo poder de Deus. Porque também nós somos fracos nele, porém com ele viveremos pelo poder de Deus em vós.

For if He was crucified as from weakness, yet He now liveth by the power of God: for we also are weak in Him, but shall live with Him by the power of God manifested to you.

5 Examinai-vos a vós mesmos, se estais na fé; provai-vos a vós mesmos. Ou não conheceis a vós mesmos, que Jesus Cristo está em vós? A menos que vós estejais reprovados.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove yourselves: do ye not know yourselves to be such that Jesus Christ is in you? unless ye are reprovable.

6 Mas espero que vós entendereis que nós não somos reprovados.

But I hope ye will soon know that we are not disapproved.

7 E eu desejo [pedindo] a Deus que nenhum mal façais; não para que sejamos achados aprovados, mas para que vós façais o bem, e nós sejamos como reprovados.

I pray to God that ye may do no evil: and not that we may appear to be approved by your punishment, but that ye may do that which is good, though we should seem to be disapproved.

8 Porque nada podemos fazer contra a verdade, mas sim pela verdade.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9 Pois nós nos alegramos quando estamos fracos, e vós estais fortes; e isto também desejamos: o vosso aperfeiçoamento.

For we rejoice when we exert not our power, and when ye are strong: as this is what we wish, even your perfection.

10 Por isso eu escrevo estas coisas ausente; para que, quando estiver presente não use de rigor, segundo o poder que o Senhor tem me dado, para edificação, e não para destruição.

Therefore I write these things while absent, that when present I may not use severity, according to the power which the Lord hath given me for edification, and not for destruction.

11 Quanto às demais coisas, irmãos, alegrai-vos, sede íntegros, consolai-vos, tenhais um mesmo entendimento, vivei em paz; e o Deus de amor e paz será convosco.

Finally, my brethren, farewel: be reformed, be exhorted, be of one mind, live in peace: and the God of love and peace will be with you.

12 Saudai-vos uns aos outros com beijo santo.

Salute one another with an holy kiss.

13 Todos os santos vos saúdam.

All the saints salute you. May the favor of the Lord Jesus Christ,

14 A graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e o amor de Deus, e a comunhão do Espírito Santo seja com todos vós. Amém.

and the love of God, and the communication of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
