Salmos 84

1 Quão amáveis são os teus tabernáculos, Senhor dos exércitos.

For the chief musician; set to the Gittith style. A psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is the place where you live, Yahweh of hosts!

2 A minha alma está desejosa, e desfalece pelos átrios do Senhor: o meu coração e a minha carne clamam pelo Deus vivo.

I long for the courts of Yahweh, my desire for it has made me exhausted. My heart and all of my being call out to the living God.

3 Até o pardal encontrou casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde ponha seus filhos, até mesmo nos teus altares, Senhor dos exércitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.

Even the sparrow has found her a house and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young near your altars, Yahweh of hosts, my King, and my God.

4 Bem-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa: louvar-te-ão continuamente. (Selah)

Blessed are they who live in your house; they praise you continually. (Selah)

5 Bem-aventurado o homem cuja força está em ti, em cujo coração estão os caminhos aplanados.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways up to Zion.

6 Que, passando pelo vale das amoreiras, faz dele uma fonte; a chuva também enche os tanques.

Passing through the Valley of Tears, they find springs of water to drink. The early rains cover it with blessings.

7 Vão indo de força em força; cada um deles em Sião aparece perante Deus.

They go from strength to strength; every one of them appears before God in Zion.

8 Senhor Deus dos exércitos, escuta a minha oração: inclina os ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacob! (Selah)

Yahweh God of hosts, hear my prayer; God of Jacob, listen to what I am saying! (Selah)

9 Olha, ó Deus, escudo nosso, e contempla o rosto do teu ungido.

God, watch over our shield; show concern for your anointed.

10 Porque vale mais um dia nos teus átrios do que mil. Preferiria estar à porta da casa do meu Deus, a habitar nas tendas dos ímpios.

For one day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to live within the tents of the wicked.

11 Porque o Senhor Deus é um sol e escudo: o Senhor dará graça e glória; não retirará bem algum aos que andam na retidão.

For Yahweh God is our sun and shield; Yahweh will give grace and glory; he does not withhold any good thing from those who walk in integrity.

12 Senhor dos exércitos, bem-aventurado o homem que em ti põe a sua confiança.

Yahweh of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
