Salmos 112

1 Louvai ao Senhor. bem-aventurado o homem que teme ao Senhor, que em seus mandamentos tem grande prazer.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed [is] the man [that] feareth the LORD, [that] delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 A sua semente será poderosa na terra: a geração dos retos será abençoada.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 Fazenda e riquezas haverá na sua casa, e a sua justiça permanece para sempre.

Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Aos justos nasce luz nas trevas: ele é piedoso, misericordioso e justo.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: [he is] gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 O homem bom se compadece, e empresta: disporá as suas coisas com juízo.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

6 Na verdade que nunca será comovido: o justo estará em memória eterna.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 Não temerá maus rumores: o seu coração está firme, confiando no Senhor.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

8 O seu coração bem confirmado, ele não temerá, até que veja o seu desejo sobre os seus inimigos.

His heart [is] established, he shall not be afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his enemies.

9 Ele espalhou, deu aos necessitados: a sua justiça permanece para sempre, e a sua força se exaltará em glória.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 O ímpio o verá, e se entristecerá: rangerá com os dentes, e se consumirá o desejo dos ímpios perecerá.

The wicked shall see [it], and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
