Jeremias 30

1 A palavra que do Senhor veio a Jeremias, dizendo:

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Assim diz o Senhor, Deus de Israel, dizendo: Escreve num livro todas as palavras que te tenho falado.

“The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

3 Porque eis que dias veem, diz o Senhor, em que farei tornar o cativeiro do meu povo Israel e Judá, diz o Senhor; e torna-los-ei a trazer à terra que dei a seus pais, e a possuirão.

For, behold, the days come,’ says the LORD, ‘that I will reverse the captivity of my people Israel and Judah,’ says the LORD. ‘I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.’”

4 E estas são as palavras que falou o Senhor, acerca de Israel e de Judá.

These are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Ouvimos uma voz de temor: temor há, porém não paz.

For the LORD says: “We have heard a voice of trembling; a voice of fear, and not of peace.

6 Perguntai, pois, e olhai, se o varão pare. Porque pois vejo a cada homem com as mãos sobre os lombos como a que está parindo? e porque se tem tornado todos os rostos em amarelidão?

Ask now, and see whether a man travails with child. Why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned pale?

7 Ah! porque aquele dia é tão grande, que não houve outro semelhante! e é tempo de angústia para Jacob: porém será livrado dela.

Alas, for that day is great, so that none is like it! It is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he will be saved out of it.

8 Porque será naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, que eu quebrarei o seu jugo de sobre o teu pescoço, e quebrarei as tuas ataduras; e nunca mais se servirão dele os estranhos.

It will come to pass in that day, says the LORD of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds. Strangers will no more make them their bondservants;

9 Mas servirão ao Senhor, seu Deus, como também a David, seu rei, que lhes levantarei.

but they will serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

10 Não temas pois tu, servo meu Jacob, diz o Senhor, nem te espantes, ó Israel; porque eis que te livrarei de terras de longe, como também à tua semente da terra do seu cativeiro; e Jacob tornará, e descançará, e ficará em sossego, e não haverá quem o atemorize.

Therefore don’t be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says the LORD. Don’t be dismayed, Israel. For, behold, I will save you from afar, and save your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease. No one will make him afraid.

11 Porque eu sou contigo, diz o Senhor, para te livrar; porquanto farei consumação de todas as nações entre as quais te espalhei; porém de ti não farei consumação, mas castigar-te-ei com medida, e de todo não te terei por inocente.

For I am with you, says the LORD, to save you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”

12 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Teu quebrantamento é mortal; a tua chaga é dolorosa.

For the LORD says, “Your hurt is incurable. Your wound is grievous.

13 Não há quem julgue a tua causa para liga-la; não tens remédios que possam curar.

There is no one to plead your cause, that you may be bound up. You have no healing medicines.

14 Todos os teus amantes já se esqueceram de ti, e não perguntam por ti; porque te feri de ferida de inimigo, e de castigo do cruel, pela grandeza da tua maldade e multidão de teus pecados.

All your lovers have forgotten you. They don’t seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.

15 Porque gritas por causa de teu quebrantamento? tua dor é mortal. Pela grandeza de tua maldade, e multidão de teus pecados, eu fiz estas coisas.

Why do you cry over your injury? Your pain is incurable. For the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you.

16 Pelo que todos os que te devoram serão devorados; e todos os teus adversários, todos irão em cativeiro; e os que te roubam serão roubados, e a todos os que te despojam entregarei ao saque.

Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured. All your adversaries, everyone of them, will go into captivity. Those who plunder you will be plunder. I will make all who prey on you become prey.

17 Porque te restaurarei a saúde, e te sararei das tuas chagas, diz o Senhor; porquanto te chamam a engeitada. Sião é, dizem, já não há quem pergunte por ela.

For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says the LORD, “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’”

18 Assim diz o Senhor: Eis que tornarei a trazer o cativeiro das tendas de Jacob, e apiedar-me-ei das suas moradas; e a cidade será reedificada sobre o seu montão, e o palácio estará posto como costuma.

The LORD says: “Behold, I will reverse the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places. The city will be built on its own hill, and the palace will be inhabited in its own place.

19 E sairá deles o louvor e a voz de júbilo; e multiplica-los-ei, e não serão diminuídos, e glorifica-los-ei, e não serão acanhados.

Thanksgiving will proceed out of them with the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.

20 E seus filhos serão como da antiguidade, e a sua congregação será confirmada perante o meu rosto; e farei visitação sobre todos os seus opressores.

Their children also will be as before, and their congregation will be established before me. I will punish all who oppress them.

21 E o seu príncipe será deles; e o seu governador sairá do meio dele, e o farei aproximar, e ele se chegará a mim; porque quem será aquele que empenhe o seu coração para se chegar a mim? diz o Senhor.

Their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will proceed from amongst them. I will cause him to draw near, and he will approach me; for who is he who has had boldness to approach me?” says the LORD.

22 E ser-me-eis por povo, e eu vos serei por Deus.

“You shall be my people, and I will be your God.

23 Eis que a tormenta do Senhor, a sua indignação, saiu, uma tormenta varredeira: cairá cruelmente sobre a cabeça dos ímpios.

Behold, the LORD’s storm, his wrath, has gone out, a sweeping storm; it will burst on the head of the wicked.

24 Não voltará atráz o furor da ira do Senhor, até que tenha executado, e ate que tenha cumprido os desígnios do seu coração: no fim dos dias entendereis isto

The fierce anger of the LORD will not return until he has accomplished, and until he has performed the intentions of his heart. In the latter days you will understand it.”
