Isaías 65
1 Fui buscado dos que não perguntavam por mim, fui achado de aqueles que me não buscavam: a um povo que se não chamava do meu nome eu disse: Eis-me aqui.
“I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek. I said, 'Here I am! Here I am!' to a nation that did not call on my name.
2 Estendi as minhas mãos todo o dia a um povo rebelde, que caminha por caminho não bom, após os seus pensamentos:
I have spread out my hands all day to a stubborn people, who walk in a way that is not good, who have walked after their own thoughts and plans!
3 Povo que me irrita diante da minha face de contínuo, sacrificando em jardins e queimando incenso sobre tijolos;
They are a people who continually offend me, offering sacrifices in gardens, and burning incense on brick tiles.
4 Assentando-se junto às sepulturas, e passando as noites junto aos lugares secretos: comendo carne de porco, e tendo caldo de coisas abomináveis nos seus vasos.
They sit among the graves and keep watch all night, and eat pork with the broth of foul meat in their dishes.
5 E dizem: Tira-te lá, e não te chegues a mim, porque sou mais santo do que tu. Estes são um fumo no meu nariz, um fogo que arde todo o dia.
They say, 'Stand away, do not come near to me, for I am holier than you.' These things are smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all day long.
6 Eis que está escrito diante de mim: não me calarei; porém eu pagarei, e pagarei no seu seio,
Look, it is written before me: I will not keep quiet, for I will pay them back; I will repay them into their laps,
7 As vossas iniquidades, e juntamente as iniquidades de vossos pais, diz o Senhor, que queimaram incenso nos montes, e me afrontaram nos outeiros: pelo que lhes tornarei a medir o galardão das suas obras antigas no seu seio.
for their sins and the sins of their fathers together,” says Yahweh. “I will repay them for burning incense on the mountains and for mocking me on the hills. I will therefore measure out their past deeds into their laps.”
8 Assim diz o Senhor: Como quando se acha mosto num cacho de uvas, dizem: Não o desperdices, pois há benção nele; assim eu o farei por amor de meus servos, que os não destrua a todos.
This is what Yahweh says, “As when juice is found in a cluster of grapes, when one says, 'Do not ruin it, for there is good in it,' this is what I will do for my servants' sake: I will not ruin them all.
9 E produzirei semente de Jacob, e de Judá um herdeiro, que possua os meus montes; e os meus eleitos herdarão a terra e os meus servos habitarão ali.
I will bring descendants from Jacob, and from Judah ones who will possess my mountains. My chosen ones will possess the land, and my servants will live there.
10 E Saron servirá de curral de ovelhas, e o vale de Achor de malhada de gados, para o meu povo, que me buscou.
Sharon will become a pasture for the flocks, and the Valley of Achor a resting place for herds, for my people who seek me.
11 Mas a vós, os que vos apartais do Senhor, os que vos esqueceis do meu santo monte, os que pondes a mesa ao exército, e os que misturais a bebida para o número,
But you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and fill wine glasses of mixed wine for Destiny.
12 Também eu vos contarei à espada, e todos vos encurvareis à matança; porquanto chamei, e não respondestes; falei, e não ouvistes: mas fizestes o que mal parece aos meus olhos, e escolhestes aquilo em que não tinha prazer.
I will appoint you for the sword, and you will all bow down to the slaughter, because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen. But you did what was evil in my sight and and chose to do what displeases me.”
13 Pelo que assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Eis que os meus servos comerão, porém vós padecereis fome: eis que os meus servos beberão, porém vós tereis sede: eis que os meus servos se alegrarão, porém vós vos envergonhareis:
This is what the Lord Yahweh says, “Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry; look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty; look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.
14 Eis que os meus servos exultarão do bom ânimo, porém vós gritareis de tristeza de ânimo; e uivareis pelo quebrantamento de espírito.
Look, my servants will shout with joy because of gladness of heart, but you will cry because of the pain of the heart, and will wail because of the crushing of the spirit.
15 E deixareis o vosso nome aos meus eleitos por maldição; e o Senhor Jehovah te matará; e a seus servos chamará por outro nome.
You will leave behind your name as a curse for my chosen ones to speak; I, the Lord Yahweh, will kill you; I will call my servants by another name.
16 Assim que aquele que se bendisser na terra, se bendirá no Deus da verdade; e aquele que jurar na terra, jurará pelo Deus da verdade; porque já estão esquecidas as angústias passadas, e porque já estão encobertas de diante dos meus olhos
Whoever pronounces a blessing on the earth will be blessed by me, the God of truth. Whoever takes an oath on the earth will swear by me, the God of truth, because the former troubles will be forgotten, for they will be hidden from my eyes.
17 Porque, eis que eu crio céus novos e terra nova; e não haverá mais lembrança das coisas passadas, nem mais subirão ao coração.
For see, I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered or be brought to mind.
18 Porém vós folgareis e exultareis perpetuamente no que eu crio; porque eis que crio a Jerusalém uma alegria, e ao seu povo um gozo.
But you will be glad and rejoice forever in what I am about to create. See, I am about to create Jerusalem as a joy, and her people as a delight.
19 E folgarei em Jerusalém, e exultarei no meu povo; e nunca mais se ouvirá nela voz de choro nem voz de clamor.
I will rejoice over Jerusalem and be glad over my people; weeping and cries of distress will no longer be heard in her.
20 Não haverá mais dali nela mamante de poucos dias, nem velho que não cumpra os seus dias; porque o mancebo morrerá de cem anos; porém o pecador de cem anos será amaldiçoado.
Never again will an infant live there only a few days; nor will an old man die before his time. One who dies at one hundred years old will be considered a young person. Anyone who fails to reach the age of one hundred years old will be considered cursed.
21 E edificarão casas, e as habitarão; e plantarão vinhas, e comerão o seu fruto.
They will build houses and inhabit them, and they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 Não edificarão para que outros habitem; não plantarão para que outros comam; porque os dias do meu povo serão como os dias da árvore, e os meus eleitos gozarão das obras das suas mãos até à velhice.
No longer will they build a house and another live in it; they will not plant, and another eat; for as the days of trees will be the days of my people. My chosen will fully outlive the work of their hands.
23 Não trabalharão debalde, nem parirão para a perturbação; porque são a semente dos benditos do Senhor, e os seus descendentes com eles
They will not labor in vain, nor give birth to dismay. For they are the children of those blessed by Yahweh, and their descendants with them.
24 E será que antes que clamem eu responderei: estando eles ainda falando, eu os ouvirei.
Before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
25 O lobo e o cordeiro se apascentarão ambos juntos, e o leão comerá palha como o boi: e pó será a comida da serpente. Não farão mal nem dano algum em todo o meu santo monte, diz o Senhor
The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; but dust will be the serpent's food. They will no longer hurt nor destroy on all my holy mountain,” says Yahweh.
