1 Crônicas 23
1 Sendo pois David já velho, e cheio de dias, fez a Salomão seu filho rei sobre Israel.
And David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel in his stead.
2 E ajuntou a todos os príncipes de Israel, como também aos sacerdotes e levitas.
And he assembled all the chief men of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites.
3 E foram contados os levitas de trinta anos e daí para cima: e foi o número deles, segundo as suas cabeças, trinta e oito mil homens.
And the Levites numbered [themselves] from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls amounted to thirty and eight thousand men.
4 Destes havia vinte e quatro mil, para promoverem a obra da casa do Senhor, e seis mil oficiais e juízes,
Of the overseers over the works of the house of the Lord [there were] twenty-four thousand, and [there were] six thousand scribes and judges;
5 E quatro mil porteiros, e quatro mil para louvarem ao Senhor com os instrumentos, que eu fiz para o louvar, disse David.
and four thousand doorkeepers, and four thousand to praise the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
6 E David os repartiu por turnos, segundo os filhos de Levi, Gerson, Kohath e Merari.
And David divided them [into] daily courses, for the sons of Levi, for Gedson, Caath, and Merari.
7 Dos gersonitas: Ladan e Simei.
And for [the family of] Gedson, Edan, and Semei.
8 Os filhos de Ladan; Jehiel o chefe, e Zetham, e Joel, três.
The sons of Edan [were] Jeiel, the chief, and Zethan, and Joel, three.
9 Os filhos de Simei: Selomith, e Haziel, e Haran, três: estes foram os chefes dos pais de Ladan.
The sons of Semei; Salomith, Jeiel, and Dan, three: these [were] the chiefs of the families of Edan.
10 E os filhos de Simei: Jahath, Ziza, e Jeus, e Berias: estes foram os filhos de Simei, quatro.
And to the sons of Semei, Jeth, and Ziza, and Joas, and Beria: these [were] the four sons of Semei.
11 E Jahath era o chefe, e Ziza o segundo, mas Jeus e Berias não tiveram muitos filhos; pelo que foram contados em casa de seus pais por uma só família.
And Jeth was the chief, and Ziza the second: and Joas and Beria did not multiply sons, and they became [only] one reckoning according to the house of their father.
12 Os filhos de Kohath: Amram, Ishar, Hebron, e Uziel, quatro.
The sons of Caath; Ambram, Isaar, Chebron, Oziel, four.
13 Os filhos de Amram: Aarão e Moisés; e Aarão foi separado para santificar a santidade das santidades, ele e seus filhos, eternamente; para incensar diante do Senhor, para o servirem, e para darem a benção em seu nome eternamente.
The sons of Ambram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was appointed for the consecration of the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister and bless in his name for ever.
14 E quanto a Moisés, homem de Deus, seus filhos foram contados entre a tribo de Levi.
And [as for] Moses the man of God, his sons were reckoned to the tribe of Levi.
15 Foram pois os filhos de Moisés, Gersom e Eliezer.
The sons of Moses; Gersam, and Eliezer.
16 Dos filhos de Gersom foi Sebuel o chefe.
The sons of Gersam; Subael the chief.
17 E quanto aos filhos de Eliezer, foi Rehabias o chefe: e Eliezer não teve outros filhos; porém os filhos de Rehabias se multiplicaram grandemente.
And the sons of Eliezer were, Rabia the chief: and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rabia were very greatly multiplied.
18 Dos filhos de Ishar foi Selomith o chefe.
The sons of Isaar; Salomoth the chief.
19 Quanto aos filhos de Hebron, foi Jerias o chefe, Amarias o segundo, Jahaziel o terceiro, e Jekamam o quarto.
The sons of Chebron; Jeria the chief, Amaria the second, Jeziel the third, Jekemias the fourth.
20 Quanto aos filhos de Uziel, Micha o chefe, e Issias o segundo.
The sons of Oziel; Micha the chief, and Isia the second.
21 Os filhos de Merari: Maheli e Musi; os filhos de Maheli: Eleazar e Kis.
The sons of Merari; Mooli, and Musi: the sons of Mooli; Eleazar, and Kis.
22 E morreu Eleazar, e não teve filhos, porém filhas; e os filhos de Kis, seus irmãos, as tomaram por mulheres.
And Eleazar died, and he had no sons, but daughters: and the sons of Kis, their brethren, took them.
23 Os filhos de Musi: Maheli, e Eder, e Jeremath, três.
The sons of Musi; Mooli, and Eder, and Jarimoth, three.
24 Estes são os filhos de Levi, segundo a casa de seus pais, chefes dos pais, segundo foram contados pelo número dos nomes, segundo os seus chefes, que faziam a obra do ministério da casa o Senhor, da idade de vinte anos e daí para cima.
These [are] the sons of Levi according to the houses of their fathers; chiefs of their families according to their numbering, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, doing the works of service of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward.
25 Porque disse David: O Senhor Deus de Israel deu repouso ao seu povo, e habitará em Jerusalém para sempre.
For David said, The Lord God of Israel has given rest to his people, and has taken up his abode in Jerusalem for ever.
26 E também, quanto aos levitas, que nunca mais levassem o tabernáculo, nem algum de seus aparelhos pertencentes ao seu ministério.
And the Levites bore not the tabernacle, and all the vessels of it for its service.
27 Porque, segundo as últimas palavras de David, foram contados os filhos de Levi da idade de vinte anos e daí para cima.
For by the last words of David was the number of the Levites [taken] from twenty years old and upward.
28 Porque o seu cargo era de estar ao mandado dos filhos de Aarão no ministério da casa do Senhor, nos átrios, e nas câmaras, e na purificação de todas as coisas sagradas, e na obra do ministério da casa de Deus,
For he appointed them to wait on Aaron, to minister in the house of the Lord, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the purification of all the holy things, and over the works of the service of the house of God;
29 A saber: para os pães da proposição, e para a flor de farinha, para a oferta de manjares, e para os coscorões asmos, e para as sartãs, e para o tostado, e para toda a medida e mensura;
and for the show-bread, and for the fine flour of the meat-offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for the fried cake, and for the dough, and for every measure;
30 E para estarem cada manhã em pé para louvarem e celebrarem ao Senhor; e semelhantemente à tarde;
and to stand in the morning to praise and give thanks to the Lord, and so in the evening;
31 E para cada oferecimento dos holocaustos do Senhor, nos sábados, nas luas novas, e nas solenidades, por conta, segundo o seu costume, continuamente perante o Senhor:
and [to be] over all the whole burnt offerings that were offered up to the Lord on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, by number, according to the order [given] to them, continually before the Lord.
32 E para que tivessem cuidado da guarda da tenda da congregação, e da guarda do santuário, e da guarda dos filhos de Aarão, seus irmãos, no ministério da casa do Senhor.
And they are to keep the charge of the tabernacle of witness, and the charge of the holy place, and the charges of the sons of Aaron their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.
