Salmos 97
1 O Senhor reina; regozije-se a terra: alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.
Jehovah reigneth: let the earth be glad, let the many isles rejoice.
2 Nuvens e obscuridade estão ao redor d'elle: justiça e juizo são a base do seu throno.
Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.
3 Um fogo vae adiante d'elle, e abraza os seus inimigos em redor.
A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his adversaries round about.
4 Os seus relampagos alumiam o mundo; a terra viu e tremeu.
His lightnings lightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 Os montes se derretem como cera na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 Os céus annunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua gloria.
The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.
7 Confundidos sejam todos os que servem imagens de esculptura, que se gloriam de idolos: prostrae-vos diante d'elle, todos os deuses.
Ashamed be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols. Worship him, all ye gods.
8 Sião ouviu e se alegrou; e os filhos de Judah se alegraram por causa da tua justiça, ó Senhor.
Zion heard, and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judah were glad, because of thy judgments, O Jehovah.
9 Pois tu, Senhor, és o mais alto sobre toda a terra; tu és muito mais exaltado do que todos os deuses.
For thou, Jehovah, art the Most High above all the earth; thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.
10 Vós, que amaes ao Senhor, aborrecei o mal: elle guarda as almas dos seus sanctos, elle os livra das mãos dos impios.
Ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints, he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 A luz semeia-se para o justo, e a alegria para os rectos de coração.
Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
12 Alegrae-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e dae louvores á memoria da sua sanctidade.
Rejoice in Jehovah, ye righteous; and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness.
