Salmos 96

1 Cantae ao Senhor um cantico novo, cantae ao Senhor toda a terra.

Oh, sing to Yahweh a new song; sing to Yahweh, all the earth.

2 Cantae ao Senhor, bemdizei o seu nome; annunciae a sua salvação de dia em dia.

Sing to Yahweh, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.

3 Annunciae entre as nações a sua gloria; entre todos os povos as suas maravilhas.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all the nations.

4 Porque grande é o Senhor, e digno de louvor, mais tremendo do que todos os deuses.

For Yahweh is great and is to be praised greatly. He is to be feared above all other gods.

5 Porque todos os deuses dos povos são idolos, mas o Senhor fez os céus.

For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is Yahweh who made the heavens.

6 Gloria e magestade estão ante a sua face, força e formosura no seu sanctuario.

Splendor and majesty are in his presence. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Dae ao Senhor, ó familias dos povos, dae ao Senhor gloria e força.

Ascribe to Yahweh, you clans of peoples, ascribe praise to Yahweh for his glory and strength.

8 Dae ao Senhor a gloria devida ao seu nome: trazei offerenda, e entrae nos seus atrios.

Give to Yahweh the glory that his name deserves. Bring an offering and come into his courts.

9 Adorae ao Senhor na belleza da sanctidade: tremei diante d'elle toda a terra.

Bow down to Yahweh in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Dizei entre as nações que o Senhor reina: o mundo tambem se firmará para que se não abale: julgará os povos com rectidão.

Say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.” The world also is established; it cannot be shaken. He judges the peoples fairly.

11 Alegrem-se os céus, e regozije-se a terra: brama o mar e a sua plenitude.

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar and that which fills it shout with joy.

12 Alegre-se o campo com tudo o que ha n'elle: então se regozijarão todas as arvores do bosque,

Let the fields rejoice and all that is in them. Then let all the trees in the forest shout for joy

13 Ante a face do Senhor, porque vem, porque vem a julgar a terra: julgará o mundo com justiça e os povos com a sua verdade.

before Yahweh, for he is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his faithfulness.
