Salmos 21

1 O rei se alegra em tua força, Senhor; e na tua salvação grandemente se regozija.

To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. O Yahweh, in thy strength, will the king rejoice, and, in thy salvation, how greatly will he exult!

2 Cumpriste-lhe o desejo do seu coração, e não negaste as supplicas dos seus labios (Selah)

The longing of his heart, hast thou given him, and, the request of his lips, hast thou not withheld. (Selah)

3 Pois o prevines das bençãos de bondade; pões na sua cabeça uma corôa d'oiro fino

For thou wilt come to meet him, with the blessings of goodness, Thou wilt set on his head, a crown of pure gold.

4 Vida te pediu, e lh'a déste, mesmo longura de dias para sempre e eternamente.

Life, he asked of thee, Thou hast given it him, length of days, to times age-abiding and beyond.

5 Grande é a sua gloria pela tua salvação; gloria e magestade pozeste sobre elle.

Great is his glory, in thy salvation, Honour and majesty, wilt thou lay upon him;

6 Pois o abençoaste para sempre: tu o enches de gozo com a tua face.

For thou wilt appoint him blessings evermore, wilt cheer him with joy by thy countenance;

7 Porque o rei confia no Senhor, e pela misericordia do Altissimo nunca vacillará.

For, the king, is trusting in Yahweh, and, in the lovingkindness of the Highest, shall he not be shaken.

8 A tua mão alcançará todos os teus inimigos, a tua mão direita alcançará aquelles que te aborrecem.

Thy hand, will find out, all thy foes, Thine own right hand, will find out them who hate thee.

9 Tu os farás como um forno de fogo no tempo da tua ira; o Senhor os devorará na sua indignação, e o fogo os consumirá.

Thou wilt make them like a furnace of fire, at the time of thy presence, —Yahweh, in his anger, will swallow them up, and there shall consume them a fire:

10 Seu fructo destruirás da terra, e a sua semente d'entre os filhos dos homens.

Their fruit—out of the earth, wilt thou destroy, and their seed, from among the sons of men;

11 Porque intentaram o mal contra ti; machinaram uma trapaça, mas não prevalecerão.

For they have held out, against thee, a wicked thing, They have devised a scheme they cannot accomplish.

12 Portanto tu lhes farás voltar as costas; e com tuas frechas postas nas cordas lhes apontarás ao rosto.

For thou wilt cause them to turn their back, Upon thy bow-strings, wilt thou make ready against their face.

13 Exalta-te, Senhor, na tua força; então cantaremos e louvaremos o teu poder.

Be exalted, O Yahweh, in thy strength! With song and with string will we sound forth thy power.
